Yesterday they announced what to expect in the next season as per usual, but in the process they also confirmed that they’re aiming for at least another 10 seasons of support (each season typically lasting 8 weeks), which obviously means lots of new DLC to look forward to, as well as fixes to the ranking system to make obtaining higher competitive tiers more obtainable since the few remaining players are pretty hardcore and promotion is more difficult. They’ll also be bringing back rewards from previous seasons that haven’t been earnable in years, which is great for newer players or people that missed getting them the first time around.

I just want to spotlight how awesome this all is. Rock Band 4 didn’t exactly move a ton of units, and we’ve already gotten far more years out of it than most of us expected, but considering that Harmonix has been effectively moved to making a rhythm game within Fortnite for the rest of their company’s life, it’s incredible that such a (sadly) niche game continues to get such an amazing level of support. It’s a big part of why RB4 is one of my most played Xbox games, and will continue to stay that way on my Series X.

    Thank you Harmonix 🙏🏻
