This is a known bug that’s been there since the Switch release, apparently, but you wouldn’t know that until you encounter it and start searching for it. The devs gave a hacky workaround that will allow you to skip forward to the beginning of the scenario you were on (press (-) + (Y) together on the selection screen), but I still found myself unable to play the game because if I want to stop playing the game in the middle of a scenario, I will still lose the game in-progress and have to start over from the beginning of that scenario.
This game should not be sold or purchased in this state. I put off buying this for PC for a while because I wanted a handheld version, but I would opt for the PC version at this time if you can.
I really enjoyed the game and would like to finish it. I would also like for the developers to finish getting this port to work properly on Switch. I’ve requested a refund through [Nintendo.com](https://Nintendo.com) support. They said they might be able to help. We’ll see…
