Mortal Kombat 1 – Homelander First Look! + Ed Boon Gives Update on MK1’s Future DLC!

that for a homelander teaser Immortal

goodness because hot off the wire Ed
Boon just came out and shared this
Snippets of an intro dialogue between
homelander and Liu Kang and obviously
the giant elephant in the room is uh
well
Anthony star’s voice is not heard in
this clip as a matter of fact homelander
doesn’t speak at all it really is a
teaser uh no surprise given that for the
last eight nine months we’ve seen that
Anthony star has come out and said that
he wanted to do the voice AC from
homelander Mortal Kombat 1 But
ultimately it seems like he’s not going
to that they’re probably saving whoever
is trying to sound like Anthony star
until the very last second probably
until the actual game and play trailer
for homelander drops so I’m not shocked
but on the positive Ed Boon shared some
uplifting news despite not hearing
Anthony star’s voice with this beautiful
homelander model some people were saying
that he’s too wrinkly around the eyes I
I think this looks like Anthony star I
mean the likeness is still there despite
the voice acting not being done by him
this looks like homelander it’s it’s
great everything from that perspective I
think they knocked out the park the
voice acting we’ll see what happens
happens in a few weeks but before we
break down what Ed had to say when he
shared this all the exciting stuff he
says is dropping soon for Mortal Kombat

if you’re hyped for homelander Mortal
Kombat 1 drop a like on the video it
seems like everyone’s enjoying invasions
more than usual I know the standard’s
not that high but you know improvements
her Max back baby Mado soon the actual
MK characters we W are joining the r
so things are looking up for Mortal
Kombat which is exciting now with that
said let’s break down what Boon had to
say with this homelander teaser he said
we’re very pleased the reception players
are giving herac and happy to remind
everyone there is still a lot more
planned for Mortal Kombat 1 more classic
costumes new moves cameos online
features secrets and of course and then
and again he attached the video of
homelander here in action now courtesy
of leaks we do know that we’re going to
be getting the combat Pack 2 DLC we’re
also going to be getting some type of
story mode expansion like we saw with
aftermath from Mortal Kombat 11 seems to
be about Titan Havoc who is teased at
the end of the Mortal Kombat one story
mode pretty much the entirety of the
scripts for this expansion got leaked
like 7 months ago I’ve talked talked
about on the channel for months and
months and months click on the card on
the screen right now so yeah he’s not
lying we definitely have some new things
on the way uh classic costumes are
exciting that is very exciting
especially given that recently the dead
Alli skins for both Kwan and Shang Tsung
I think we’re knocked out of the park
deception skins so far I feel like are
kind of lacking in my personal opinion I
think they straight too far from the
actual original pieces that they’re
basing these modern takes on deadly
lines ones though they’re good hopefully
things will change and we’ll get some
deception skins that I I like maybe uh
that changes uh as for new moves again
every new patch update with every new
DLC character they keep giving us new
moves so that seems to be part for the
course cameos will obviously be dropping
alongside the combat pack 2 in the story
mode expansion DLC we may or may not
know who they are based on a certain
leak which might excite some of you guys
because well a certain for armed guy is
uh featured in that which I’m looking
forward to hopefully seeing make a
comeback online features
uh they just recently fixed the online
King of the Hill debacle where you
couldn’t do crossplay across different
consoles thankfully that’s fixed I’m
assuming this probably means the whole
Warrior Shrine that was there then
removed we still don’t really know what
exactly that is was there day one it was
gone patched
out I don’t know maybe we’re going to
get a full-blown uh online invasions
mode going back to Mortal Kombat 11
leaks there is talk about how crypto is
supposed to be online where you could go
and hide things underground in some type
of living Forest maybe some of that
comes into fruition come the first or
second anniversary Mortal Kombat 1 don’t
know but hey new online features maybe
that could simply just mean online
training with friends something that
should have been a standard moving
forward because that’s kind of part for
the course with every other fighting
game yes we still don’t have online
practice with friends maybe that’s what
he means by online features that could
be it Secrets
uh that that could be anything just
recently with homelander Excuse me with
Peacemaker we had a damn eagly Easter
egg where eagly comes to the main menu
screen and eats a squirrel so that could
be few and far in between from main menu
secrets to actual gameplay secrets that
could be anything like secret
brutalities which obviously also keep
getting added by most recent upload is
actually about a secret brutality that
every character in the roster can do so
yeah he didn’t say finishers wish he
would have said new finishers some stage
fatalities would be nice Boon some
anomalities would be nice Boon you know
that’d be nice alongside well maybe
actually hearing what homelander has to
say but regardless I’m just glad to know
that Boon came out and said that he’s
aware that we are all giving MK1 another
chance we’re trying to be optimistic
here and hopeful obviously there’s
things planned according to fate unknown
just a few weeks ago it came out and
mentioned that it seems like maybe
future DLC is kind of up in the air in
limbo uh don’t know if that means a
story expansion or the actual combat
pack 2 or actually combat pack three but
it seems like if I was a betting man I’d
say we’re probably getting everything
that’s been date in mind for the last
eight or nine months so the expansion
kp2 I doubt we get a combat Pack 3 they
keep saying this game is going to be the
longest supported game ever with every
new Mortal Kombat in installments and I
kind of just feel like that just Narrows
down to it always being pretty much the
exact same timeline I think we get two
DLC expansions and that’s pretty much
[ __ ] I think after that Injustice 3
comes out or the next Mortal Kombat game
or whatever the hell nether realm is
working on regardless though I’m just
glad to know that uh WB didn’t just ax
all the plans in the source code that’s
been around for eight months that’s good
what’s not good is probably the
homelander voice acting but again I’m
going to just save that opinion until
drops in a few weeks but guys that is
all I got for you all today our very
first looking homelander Mortal Kombat 1

great most of what I’m seeing online is
people actually thinking that he looks
good there are some people like I
mentioned who are saying the model looks
ugly two wrinkly I don’t know what
they’re smoking they’re in my stash or
something the voice acting I’m not
really that concerned about either given
the fact that we’ve seen previously
going back to the days of Mortal Kombat
11 for the Terminator somebody
impersonated the Arnold it was not the
Arnold so I do think that they could
probably find somebody who could do a
pretty decent Anthony star impression
but obviously if you know you know and
that might just kind of pain you a
little bit I get that but I’m going to
try to be optimistic here moving forward
so there you go Ed Boon giving you a
nice update for what’s in store for us
Mortal Kombat 1 players and fans what do

to see added Mortal Kombat 1 what do you
think of this homelander model are you
happy with it do you think that it does
not look like Anthony star are you
afraid
are you like me and just a little
nervous and anxious knowing the fact
that they’re not showing this voice
because they’re aware that we’re aware
that they didn’t pay the actual man
behind the face what he wanted to be in
this game WB they’re in debt they’re
trying to save some
money I wonder how many people uh this
had to go through also I wonder if you
know Ed boot had this tweet saved for a
week and it just finally got approved by
WB now that we know that everything
needs to be approved by WB
a lot of questions but at least we’re
going to be getting new costumes moves
cameos features and secrets in
homelander for some Dragon crystals I
