to be talking all about GTA 5 in 2024
how Rockstar is handling the windown and
the transition from GTA 5 to GTA 6 what
you can expect in terms of new content
for GTA 5 this year and pretty much
everything you need to know about the
current state of GTA 5 what Rockstar has
planned a possible finale and all of
that good stuff so make sure to stay

said without further Ado let’s go ahead
and jump right into this video now it’s
pretty crazy to say that GTI online has
come out over a decade ago it’s been
over 10 years since the game has
launched and we are finally nearing the
end of its update cycle as we get closer
to the release of GTA 6 next year in
2025 now there’s still some things left
for GTI online and GTI 5 that I’d like
to discuss in this video and the first
thing that I want to mention is that GTA
5 is not going anywhere in terms of its
support while updates have been winding
down and there will no be no longer any
updates in terms of new content after
the release of GTA 6 GTA 5 will continue
working in terms of the servers and in
terms of security patches and kind of
the basics to keep the game running
Rockstar Games has an excellent track
record especially compared to other game
Publishers of keeping their online games
running for many years after they are
not being updated so if you have your
GTI 5 character and you want to continue
playing the game the game will continue
operating for many years to come they
kept GTA 4 online running which wasn’t
nearly as popular as GTA 5 online many
years into the release cycle of GTA 5
and it will likely be the same thing
this time around as well now based on
what we know so far there will not be
any character transfer from GTA 5 to GTA
6 that means that when GTA 6 online
comes out everyone will be starting from
scratch now of course there will be some
pre-order bonuses there may be a bonus
for people that already play GTA 5 kind
of like a returning player bonus we’re
going to have to wait and see what the
specifics are but in in terms of your
GTA 5 online character that will likely
stay in GTA 5 online and your GTA 6
online character will be completely
separate of course this information is
subject to change but this is what we
know at the moment now in terms of new
content for GTA 5 there will continue
being some updates up until the release
of GTA 6 this has been confirmed by
Rockstar many times directly to
investors and also the players through
their newswire however the content as
likely a lot of you have noticed is not
going to be that great there was
actually an update pushed a few days ago
I didn’t make a video about it because
frankly there wasn’t really much in it
there are going to be some bonuses there
are going to be some new updates and new
features but in terms of actual new
content the majority of Rockstar Games
and the team is focused only on GTA 6
and there’s pretty much nobody making
new content for GTA 5 at the moment now
the only exception to that is there has
been some discussion recently about a
possible finale update for GTI online
this of course has not been confirmed
officially by Rockstar Games so far
however based on everything that we know
and any leaks that have come out this
has not been worked on just yet now
there were some updates that Rockstar
was working on previously that never
really saw the light of day so for
example they were working on an update
featuring Michael which has still not
been added to GTI online over a decade
later that update if it is complete
could technically be used for the finale
of GTI online however based on what we
know so far there hasn’t been a
dedicated update being worked on that
would act as the finale for GTI online
now earlier this year I predicted that
Rockstar would release an update for GTI
online kind of saying farewell to the
game and allowing people to transition
over to GTA 6 however based on their
actions over the past few months and
especially the layoffs that they
announced about a week ago I do not
think this is going to be happening I
think that they will continue updating
GTA 5 as they’ve been doing for the past
year with little enhancements and little
bonuses and things along those lines but
no new actual content and then when GTA
6 drops they’re going to stop support
for GTA 5 in terms of even the little
things besides security patches and all
of those essential items and they’re
going to move all of their efforts over
to GTA 6 so at the moment unless you
really love GTA 5 and you want to
continue playing the game there isn’t
any benefit of building up your online
character for the release of GTA 6 so
you can continue playing GTA 5 as you’ve
been however just be warned that your
character will not transfer over to GTA
6 based on what we know so far and then
also there’s likely going to be no new
actual content for GTA 5 of course the
servers will continue running there will
be security updates and patches over
many years to come but in terms of
actual content I do not think we’re
going to see anything major for the rest
of the life cycle of GTA 5 now of course
this this does not mean that GTA 5 is
dead by any means their servers will
continue running for many years to come
and GTA 5 online is still one of the
most popular games out there that is
being played on a daily basis however
right now all eyes are on GTI 6 and with
trailer 2 dropping later this year and
with the release next year things are
getting closer than ever but I want to
hear from all of you in those comments

about there being no transfer from GTA 5
to GTA 6 do you think it is a good idea
for everyone to start over do you think
it is a bad idea and you think that
Rockstar should give some bonus from GTA
5 players to GTA 6 any all thoughts you

myself person personally I’m kind of in
the middle about this I think that there
should be at least some bonus to entice
players to upgrade to GTA 6 but honestly
I feel like most people are going to do
that anyway because the game is just
going to be so much of an upgrade
compared to GTA 5 but I think rewarding
long-term GTA 5 players is definitely a
good idea but at the same time even if a
lot of players that are transferring are
not affected by this there were still a
lot of bugs and glitches especially in
the early days of GTA 5 that destabilize
the economy there’s a lot of modded
accounts out there and I think that
Rockstar just wants to get rid of that
and launch on a clean slate with GTA 6
and kind of have everyone start from
scratch which honestly I don’t think is
a bad idea but I understand both sides
to the story but again let me know your
