I had a bent part on the wire that was causing connection issues unless the cable was positioned in a very meticulous way, so I did the trick of taking it apart, cutting out the bad part and soldering it all together again (following the method used in a few YouTube videos)
Now it won’t connect when plugged into the PC at all so evidently I did a bad job, but it does flash the 1 and 4 part of the Xbox logo for a half second when it’s plugged in. Would that narrow it down to a specific problem I can look for when I open it up again? And could it be because I removed this part of the cable or does it not serve a purpose?
