The tiny piece of plastic must have broke.. it clicks the pressure switch. I changed mine out about 6 months ago. Too much dark souls/ elden ring.

You probably only broke the plastic bit of the bumper that connects to the button. Insanely cheap and easy to fix but you would have to know how to open it.🤷♂️
