I got this controller in November of 2023 because my two Xbox controllers that came with my one s both stopped working. I began using this controller and felt happy thinking I will never have to worry about stick drift for years. Now here I am having to use d-pad to navigate any menu because my left stick will shoot upwards for no reason and any slight movement down will cause it to get stuck in that direction as well. I have tried cleaning the base of the stick multiple times and it does nothing and I do not want to open it up because I fear breaking the only working controller I have. Is there any way I can fix this

You might have to check some YouTube videos. But this controller isn’t exactly working. And sometimes drift is just a damaged controller and it can’t be fixed unless you open it up and replace stuff. I don’t know of any easy ways to fix drift, otherwise no one would complain about it.
I worked at a Gamestop and the amount of PS4/XB1 controllers that I have seen with drift, even only 1 or 2 months out of the box is STAGGERING. There’s no way to really avoid it. It either will or won’t happen. Not a single one of my Xbox or PS4 controllers have ever drifted, and I only have 1 joycon with drift. But I know people who have gone thru a ton of them. Buying a new controller never guarantees no drift. I’ve seen new controllers have drift right out of the box.
