Classic Wizardry is a little dry, but this might just be the best remake I've ever seen. It's so faithful that it has the original on an Apple II emulator in the background (and the corner of the screen!) yet it's enhanced so we'll it feels like a modern indie game.

$40 is steep, but if you like games like Etrian Odyssey or dungeon crawlers at all, or tense, brutal dungeon crawlers, take a look at it!

    1. I want to pull the trigger on this but my back log is so big! I just put 90+ Hours on Octopath Traveler which I started during Golden Week. I got to the “Secret Boss” as of yesterday. Im ready for the weekend so I can start up Mario TTYD. This HAS been added to my wish list.

How hadn’t I heard of this until today??? I’ve been CRAVING a ‘new’ Blobber on the switch

I’ve played a few hours so far. It’s a lot like Etrian Odyssey. Very challenging. The biggest difference between the two games is the dungeon mapping in this game is automated, but every time you go back to town your dungeon map is wiped clean even though the layout of the dungeon hasn’t changed. It’s a nice touch and keeps me on my toes when I do a dungeon run.

I own the C64 and NES versions of this, and I’ve been waiting anxiously for this re-release. I need a physical copy of this like yesterday.

    5. I loved Etrian Odyssey on 3DS, but it didn’t click on Switch for me. Currently I am having a blast with this one (I am just a few hours in though).

I’d love to see a version of Might&Magic World of Xeen on the Switch.
