On the left is the standard UK version and the right is the Scandinavian version (which also contains the English language version of the game).
Generally speaking they're pretty much the same apart from…
-
The UK version replacing the PEGI logo with a BBFC one
-
The Scandinavian version having translated text on the cover (obviously)
-
A double sized Software Guide on the Scandinavian version… again for text translation reasons
-
Lastly, and this is my favourite bit, different images on the spine. Absolutely unnecessary but fantastic nonetheless.
I quite enjoyed the first game and thought it was a solid 6 out of 10. I really liked the 3DS version of EM2 but was disappointed at it being so short (I would have welcomed twice as much content as was provided). Hopefully, this (these) will prove some family fun this weekend.

nice, i forget if the WiiU is region locked
I love little variations like that — even more when the entire artwork is changed. I recently purchased a Japanese copy of JSRF (Xbox) because of how cool the cover looks to me.
I haven’t played this version, but I’ve heard it isn’t the greatest. It lags quite a bit, and the controls are limited to the gamepad for player 1 (motion controls for player 2). Very odd choice by the developers. The Wii version appears to be the superior version.
