If you look closely, there are vertical lines all over the screen. I noticed this while playing certain Wii games on my Wii U. Especially on Resident Evil Remake or Resident Evil 4. I hope my Wii U isn't broken. Thanks for any help!

I forgot to mention that my Wii U is a European model. I believe that not every Wii game supports progressive scan. Maybe it’s an issue with non progressive scan titles, I’m not sure. I have hooked up my Wii U via HDMI directly to a 4K OLED.
Never notices this on my wii games
check your tv settings and see if it’s actually recognizing 480i if you can. Maybe it’s somehow trying to display these in p and causing some sort of interlaced gaps? This is just a guess.
I think your hardware is fine.
