if this is a scam its an insanely elaborate one. have you ever put your account info into a friends xbox or maybe used one of the xbox setups in a store where they let you put your account in for free content.

I’d bet on it being a scam. I haven’t used an OG xbox in a very long time, but can you even tell it’s an xbox live account from that screen? Can’t you just make a local account with whatever name you want?
But changing your password whenever you think something is fishy is always a good idea.
