My Wii U can’t hold Discs, any help?

I opened my Wii U about a year ago to clean it out. I opened the disc drive to clean but must’ve messed something up, I didn’t pay attention to it till now since I play all my games digitally. But now I’m trying to get into collecting games, and I can’t play them if the drive can’t hold the disc. There’s no info online about this that I can find anywhere. Can anyone help?
