Every single one of them works literally same, you open an app in background, get a drop every 3 hours. After few days the drop you got becomes limited which means it won't ever drop anymore which means the price will start increasing a lot so idiots start buying them and the dev is getting A LOT of money for doing literally nothing. If Valve won't do anything about it there will be a plague of this shit.
If you currently have this thing running in background, please stop and watch one of this:

If people didn’t buy cosmetic bananas then this wouldn’t be a problem. Feels like NFTs all over again.
Why should Valve do anything? If people willing part with their money and give it both to Valve and the developers, why should they stop it? They don’t break any TOS or laws.
If people didn’t spend stupid amount of money on trash, it wouldn’t have gotten so far. But people are idiots and buy useless trash.
Steam used to be another word for QUALITY GAMES.
Then they allowed every wanna-be developer to publish their shit on it by paying a small fee and now it is flooded by crapware like this.
They must be raking in a lot of money even from these titles because if I was Gabe I would not want to see my platform become the cesspool it has become.
This is just another step down, I agree valve should not only ban these types of title but also do a purge of what is already on it.
