Hello everyone, I’ve recently had a problem with my Wii U gamepad not functioning correctly. My inputs were not being processed correctly (specifically most menus only the triggers, bumpers, x, b, +, and – buttons worked and in games I couldn’t select anything and the cursor would be off center and unable to select). I did some research and it turns out this was most commonly an issue with debris in the screen, I tried some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab but there was still noticeable dirt and the problem still persisted. So I took the gamepad apart to clean it more thoroughly and discovered that there is in-fact some earwax like substance in-between the screen border and the screen. So am I cooked or can this be fixed?

I use wooden toothpicks dipped in alcohol.
