Hi! I’m new to steam, and I want to buy needy streamer overload/needy girl overdose. However, it’s recommending me to buy the soundtrack as well. If I don’t buy the soundtrack, will the game be muted? What’s the point of it?

    1. Steam has a function where you can download the soundtrack of a game and listen to it independently of the game. Your in game soundtrack will not be muted if you don’t buy the soundtrack, the soundtrack is just “Wow I loved the soundtrack, I wanna download it and listen to it with the steam overlay in any game.”

Think of it like buying an album.

    2. Of course not, the soundtrack DLC gives you the soundtracks as music files you can listen to on your computer, it is not required to hear music in the game itself.

    3. Nah the soundtrack has zero bearing on the game itself. You’ll still have the in game audio and such with or without it.

Its a way to listen to it outside of game like buying music from places like say Itunes. You’ll have access to the files to put onto other devices and in higher quality and without subs to play it from like spotify or apple music etc..

Also it shows support for the publishing and that you like that music if you buy it but it wont impact the actual games data one way or another.

    4. Those soundtracks are for free on YouTube / Spotify just save ur money and get the base game also wait for next week summer sale to get games for a discount
