I played through D2 and DOTO late last year, no hiccups. Since then I’ve uninstalled all games and steam, then just today I reinstalled steam, DOTO and Prey.
My Windows environment is up-to-date and fairly ‘clean’. I usually boot into linux, so my windows partition is almost like a fresh install except for playing the odd game here and there. There is almost nothing installed except steam. No system changes since I played through DOTO the first time.
