I'm about to experience RDR2 on the Xbox Series X for the first time! I previously played through on PS5 back in 2020 but TBH it was so dark and I couldn't figure out why it looked so bad then I looked it up. Turns out the PS4 pro version (which is what the PS5 runs) has a messed up HDR system that causes the game to look darker than what it's supposed to. I tried everything to fix this including playing without HDR but nothing remedied the issues. Now I'm playing on my new Series X and from everything I've read (including a digital foundry deep dive) playing RDR2 on Series X is superior to PS5 mainly because the Series X plays the One X version which itself outperforms the PS4 pro version. I'm excited to play through what is probably the best videogame story EVER written! It's my second playthrough and I plan to really do everything possible in the game lol happy gaming ✌️

I played it on the pro before I switched. It was terrible when it was dark. I always had to set up camp
