I have dismantled this entire gamepad and havent found a fix for my screen. One of the clamps are broken how do i fix it? and what is the specific cable supposed to do? Ive already tried taping the cable down with normal and electrical tape but it hasnt worked

Hot glue or blu tac.
It looks like the same kind of connector that’s extremely prone to breaking on DS/3DS models, so this method of replacing the broken piece might work for you as well:

I can say from experience that the “slip the ribbon under the pins, bend them down and tape it into place” method is not a good idea long term — it will gradually come loose again and each subsequent time you put pressure on the pins increases the chance of breaking one off. (My N3DS-XL is unusable right now thanks to that…sigh.)
Rip. You’ll either need microsoldering skills or buy a whole new board. Don’t worry too much cuz things like these happen
I assume it’s a temporary fix but sticky tac has been working to hold my 3ds together with the same issue. Absolutely sucks when these things happen.
