Hello. I will keep this short. You need a small screwdriver, medical alcohol and cotton quetips.

Then you open a guide on youtube, and carefully follow it step by step.

It was very scary for me for the first time, and now I do it from the memory whenever my controllers start to drift.

I have had 2 PS5 controllers for 2 years and they both started to drift just last month. I fixed them and now they have NO drift!

It is just that the sensor can get dirty and need maintenance, like most of tech.

I will provide 2 links, for Gen 1 and Gen 2 PS5 controllers

    2. Oh, thanks for that! I’ll try to do that too. Because I have a couple of gamepads that I don’t use just because of the strong stick drift.

I’ve done this and didn’t even need that many tools, but it’s still so much easier and cheaper to do it yourself. I tell everyone I know when they complain about stick drift. I’ve fixed 5 controllers now, even replaced the springs in the some of them.

    4. Tips on prolonging your controller now that you know how to clean it:
      1. Don’t get addicted and suddenly clean your controller every time there is a minor drift.
      2. Don’t try to clean the other stick if it ain’t broke
