I bought Elden Ring at launch and gave up 7 hours in. But everyone keeps talking about how good it is. The Erdtree DLC footage looks fantastic, but this game is brutal. I'm gonna give it another go… Any worthwhile tips would be appreciated.

I’m debating on picking it up. I’ve got some trade credit to use. I’ve never played a soulslike of any kind.
Just don’t buy the dlc yet, you have a lot of game to get through before you can even access it
