    1. I feel that I’m missing something. Is a certain hardware revision of Wii U known to have a high failure rate or is the concern just because all Wii U’s getting old?

    2. Looks you’re a lucky one. What is the build year? If it’s 2014 then you’re pretty much in the clear, it’s only the early Hynix chips that were affected.

Just out of interest: was it plugged in all the time and were standby services enabled?

    4. Why did Nintendo use so many manufacturers for their chips? I see people with Hynix,Samsung,Toshiba.

    5. Make sure you buck up your nand. I have a wind waker edition too, but my Wii u have a Toshiba chip. I also backed up my nand.

    6. Regarding this, I wonder if it makes more sense to plug any retro system in and power it up for a few minutes, or to just leave them unplugged and only plug in whenever playing it, which could be years between play.
