ADRIAN plays CASTLE CRASHERS DLC
I haven’t heard this in like 10 years, dude. 2008 classic art. When you were born, no new features, fresh new character art, new map art, new weapon art, new character or download characters, and share your characters. That’s what we’re playing, dude. Dude, this looks insane. Hello everybody. Welcome back to the channel. My name is Adrian and welcome to Castle Crashers. I have not touched this game in the longest time ever. And if you guys know what this game is, this is an absolute masterpiece of Xbox 360 co-op. Now, if you guys are wondering why I’m playing Castle Crashers like almost like 15 years later, it is because today they have dropped a brand new DLC, the Painter Boss Paradise. And I’m pretty sure this DLC allows you to make completely custom characters. So yeah, today I thought why not give not only Castle Crashers back a shot, but also check out this brand new DLC just to see what it has, just to see what it has to offer, but also relive Castle Crashers one more time in my youth. Yeah, if you guys want to see a full series on this, I know I have like Kingdom Hearts and Grounded 2 going on. So this might not be like a full length series because I believe it is just the base game just with like a little bit of like refurbishing. But if you guys want to see more content on this, let me know down in the comment section. And uh yeah, let’s also I want to see if I can download a Okay, just judging by the Steam page, apparently some people already made some Stormtrooper. This looks insane. Thor, Jesus Christ, Pixel Knight, Lizard Knight, Sans. So, from my understanding, you could basically draw your own custom character and then just put it into the game with its like own attacks. The Pale King. Wait, is there a Hollow Knight? There is a Hollow Knight one. All right, hold on. Wait. Soul Knight, Freddy, Fazbear. Dude, what the Binding of Isaac. Cult of the Lamb. Screw it. We’re putting in Hollow Knight. I want to try. Actually, wait. I think I just put on a bunch. Hollow Knight Lamb. Bread looks cool. Lizard Wiz. I’m just going to download as much as I can. This is really cool. Oh my gosh, this is so cool. So yeah, basically you can make your own custom characters and you just put it in the game. This one has like a red lightning knight on it. So does that mean like it inherits the abilities of the lightning knight? Just going to like put it on. Wait, level 15. Oh, it’s like a skin for it. I see they redid the art. Okay, green knight stormtrooper. Wait, this is so cool. So first things first, when I played as a kid, I chose the orange knight, which is fire. They redid the all of the art designs I see. Now, the Lightning Knight is one of my favorites. Now, it looks like you can reskin some of them. So, I’m If I click my Lightning Knight, which is level 15, cuz I played a little bit before, it it would make it into the bread knight. Okay, let’s pick Hollow Knight. Uh, I just wanted to I want to try it out. We can do a completely brand new save. We can see what abilities I don’t even know how the abilities work. Oh, it’s so blurry. Wait, I might have to pick someone else. He has the sawblade magic. Oh, wow. Are y’all? Oh, wait. Yeah, we can pick the new painting uh person. Wait, dude. This is so cool. I don’t think I’m going to make my own character because I cannot draw for crab, dude. Wait, Eric Cartman. All right, guys. We’re going to go save the princess as Eric Cartman. Oh my god, this actually looks really good. Why do I feel so slow? Oh, wait. I think he has the white knight magic. Doesn’t matter. We’re playing. Okay, let me see if I remember how to play though. Oh yeah, I’m just going to do a playthrough on Eric Carman, I guess. So, I remember playing Castle Crashes on like the 360, I believe, in like 2012. I would just play with three other friends and you’d go through the whole campaign. This was like an absolute classic. Yeah, I’m going, bro. I’m going. They’re never going to see it coming. Wait, they have like a new animation for picking up weapons. I don’t remember ever seeing that. I don’t know how far we’re going to get, but stop. Stay down. Wait, I might actually have to do a whole play through, but I’m going to probably pick like an actual character. This is so stupid. I’ll at least get to the first boss with this. All right, so all the enemies come out of here. Yeah, I remember that. So, I believe when you draw it, you have to like kind of account for like the tilting. I guess if I’m doing an Eric Cartman build, I got to make him as slow as possible, but do a lot of damage. Dude, we’re back in a punch, baby. No, I actually do want to go back and try like a regular character because I believe they did rework like the art and some of the weapon designs and whatnot. I don’t know what else they changed up, but what’s really cool, too, you can even like revert back the graphics settings. So, if you don’t like this brand new graphic setting, you can just turn it back off in the settings if I’m not mistaken. So, you’re not like stuck onto it, which is I think really nice. Wait, they changed the map design. Oh my gosh, it never looked like this before. Wait, let’s go to the blacksmith. Pick up the compass right here. Why am I holding Kenny? Are all my pets here? They are here. I’ll pick up the giraffe for more experience. Guess if I’m not mistaken, they did change up some of the weapons. Let me see if I have all my weap Yeah, I do. I have a paintbrush. This from the brand new painting fella, right? I can’t pick it up, though. Wait, dude. This update’s really cool. I really really I I can’t believe it came out. Like, is there a reason why they made an update for this? Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Air combo. Air combo. Juggle him. Juggle him. jungle him. Imagine the like characters you could This is so cool cuz like I would say that Terraria has a fantastic way of implementing the community. Like they made team unloader like an actual thing on the workshop. This might be one of the other greatest ones too cuz like dude you can literally make the character in your thing. I do want to go back to my red lightning after this. I want to test out the new art cuz I think the red lightning has one of my favorite magic. You can just hold it and just do a bunch of damage. So I’m pretty sure the way that you get experience is it’s not by kills. It’s experience by smacking them over and over again. So, if you can like spam error combos, you should be able to just keep leveling up. That’s a boss fight. Hold up. Oh, there we go. Yep. Leveled up again. Now, we could sprint and do the combo. What is the best magic in this game? Again, I remember ice magic’s really good cuz you could freeze. Lightning magic is really good cuz you can like hold it down and spam it, which is my personal favorite. I remember as a kid, I really wanted to get the sandstorm magic, which is the one where like I think you can like just turn into like a spinjitsu tornado. I never got that. Wait, I could make a character with it though. Oh, I remember when this game first came out, dude. They were they announced Battleblock Theater and I was on that quick. Dude, another game like this. Does anyone remember Charlie Murder? That might be a crazy pull from the dumpster, but it was kind of a similar game to Castle Crashers in a way, but it was more like for edgy teenagers and like demons and like social media. I remember the game was crazy cuz there was like multiple endings, like demons. It was hard. There was like different characters with different It was I never completely beat the game, though. All right, we’re going to be at the boss soon. All right, let’s do this. I remember during this boss fight how me and my friends would just absolutely tussle for the princess. Why is this a little bit more difficult? Then I remember I leveled up. This music is a slammer. Come on. Come on. Come on. Yeah. Give me the loot, baby. Give me the loot. Oh. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Dude, this game is bringing back so many. Dude, I might have to go back and play this. It’s just so good. Okay, I’m going to go back to my main menu and try out the um my lightning knight again cuz I do want to see the new customized graphics. Red lightning knight. This guy’s level 15. I don’t remember why he’s level 15 actually, but I go to blacksmith. I just want to see that. Yeah, look. So, the characters are completely changed up. They don’t They used to not look like this. Like they’re turning and stuff. Before they were just like oneheaded. That’s my favorite magic attack, dude. And look at the top left. They have like different um like profile pictures. It looks so tough. No, I don’t recall what weapons used to look like, but I do know they Wait, the face saver. I don’t remember it looking like this. I remember this though. This from uh beating the game. Man, this is so weird to see because like I don’t have all the weapons that like on console. I actually beat the game completely. Like I got every single pet. I got every single weapon. I got every single every single thing. I guess I’ll go check out like a boss or something. Wait, magic plus 7. Oh, dude. The map looks so good. They completely revamped it. It looks genuinely amazing. Actually, let me check out the brand new character. See what his brand new abilities are. So, this character is new. The painter junior painter something. I’ll make a brand new Oh, he’s the pencil weapon. The plus seven magic. Okay, let’s check him out. Cuz he was being advertised as a brand new character. I just didn’t know what he did. Okay, so he has the magic. Interesting. So, he has like a he has This is a new magic. Yeah, he summons people to come out. Yeah. I I’ll go complete the first level and just try out his magic. So, the magic of the painter is really interesting. You don’t summon like the characters from you. You summon it off the screen and they walk onto the screen and they just keep walking. They do decent damage. They keep walking around, but I I think I got to upgrade my magic more before I make a decision on it. It’s really cool, though. I think magic is my favorite part about the game. I wasn’t really like a physical type of guy. Like, it’s fun to hit around, but I thought the magic was like the coolest part, especially like if different characters have different types of magic. You could like see all of them what they were. This is a really good magic though. I would say it’s pretty decent. I know magic isn’t that good, though, cuz you got to wait for the mana to recharge. And why would you wait for it to charge when you can just, I don’t know, do the same amount of damage with like your fist? It’s about the thought, right? It’s about the magic of the magic. I want to try to get to at least level five and then try to see what the magic will turn into cuz every fiveish I think skill points you get a brand new magic attack. Either like the range magic attack, the jump magic attack, the other I don’t know other magic attack, just a bunch of magic attacks. I just want to see the upgraded version of it cuz like if I could summon two at one time, that’d be really insane. This is a very good crowd control though. Like if you like let’s say have like four people, one’s running like the painter, another person’s running something else, you could hit the whole map well well off. If they walked if they walk on the right angle, we do do decent damage. Ow. There we go. We got it. Nice. All right. Hold on. Let me see it. What do you do? Oh, okay. Now, this is actually way better. M. What about our charge? Okay. This one’s like random, whereas this one is just straight out. That’s actually that’s not bad. Especially if like it runs completely through. It can pierce a bunch. All right, but um yeah, I think I’m going to call here for today, folks. Sorry for the really short video. I just wanted to check out the DLC. I might give this a full playthrough. I don’t know. At the end of the day, it’s still the regular castle crashers, but you have brand new characters you can play around with and a whole different like workshop mechanic where you can get the community involved. It’s It’s really cool. This is definitely a very cool and unexpected surprise from the Castle Crashers community. I mean, the game’s been out for so long now.
