Black Myth Wukong’s DLC Expectations

What can Blacksmith Wukong’s DLC bring to the table? Hey everybody, this is EasyPros Gaming and the highly anticipated DLC, which could come out very soon, is certainly going to have new bosses, new chapters, and so much more that we need to talk about. Before we begin in this video, I just want to give a quick disclaimer. The clips and the discussion expressed in the video is all about the DLC and will contain spoilers to the main story. If you haven’t played the game already, I would suggest clicking off the video and coming back once you’ve played. Viewer discretion is advised. Okay, now that we got that out of the way, let me just say that the new DLC I’ve been extremely excited for because Game Science has really cooked this game into a five-star gourmet meal. They have really set the bar for AAA games now. And I have played this game so many times. I put hundreds of hours. I’ve gone through many different cycles of New Game Plus. I can confidently say that I’m at a point where in my expectation of what this DLC is going to be like. I have a pretty good idea of what they could bring to the table. The DLC itself will be a paid DLC. More than likely just the base DLC will cost around $40 or a deluxe version which might be $50 or $60. Maybe even a premium version where they include a trinket of some sort. Either way, I am definitely going to get the premium version. And now the next grand question is when will the DLC release? Well, we have to consider the factor that plays into the timeline is the fact that this game will be coming to Xbox and it’s coming out at the 1-year mark of the original release date. And that’s just in a couple of weeks, which I will be getting, by the way. Initially, the community was expecting the DLC to come out at the 1-year mark. However, because Black Muk Kong is coming to Xbox at that time, it’s safe to say that the DLC will probably be pushed into holiday season or even the Chinese New Year sometime between Christmas and the Chinese New Year, which is midFebruary 2026. And that feels like such a long time from now. But in reality, that’s going to come and go by very fast. So even if the DLC comes out 6 months from now, that’s enough time for us to grind even more through one more playthrough, one more cycle just to get us prepared for the DLC. And as far as a minimum what we can expect in the game play itself, we can expect at least six, maybe even seven chapters, but more on that later. And every chapter is going to have its own unique handcrafted environments/biome. There’s always going to be a head honcho boss that ends that chapter and begins a new chapter. And in each chapter, we could probably expect there to be new transformations. That would be interesting to see, as there are many transformations, and each of them have their own special abilities. We can only wonder what those special abilities would be like, granted, if they were in the DLC. And if there are any new transformations in the DLC, we don’t really have that much to go off because Games Science is fairly new at creating AAA games in the perspective of DLC’s that follow up after a base game. But don’t underestimate what they have cooking up for us. And of course, we have to talk about the new staffs and armors that will probably be in the DLC, as there is already a good amount of armor and staffs. Without a shadow of a doubt, there will be more. And after we defeat notorious bosses or enemies, we gather materials. And this is one of game science’s recipes for how the game works. We use those ingredients and we craft unique gear. And where can we craft the unique gear? At a shrine, sure. But don’t forget about my boy, the Yin Tiger. Okay. Often overlooked at the Zen Garden, we can take our ingredients to him. And not only can he upgrade our armor, he can help us create staffs as well. And I think this is a great segue and time to talk about the Zen Garden itself. I personally have always felt like the Zen Garden was empty, somewhat incomplete, like there’s room here for other characters. I firmly believe that the Zen Garden is going to have new space for new side characters that will offer some kind of service for our journey. And currently, there’s only four members in the Zen Garden. Starting with the Yin Tiger, he can upgrade our armor and create staffs for us. Zu Dog offers us celestial medicines and other basic medicines. While Shenl Long offers us ingredients where we can harvest them almost like an investment. And the Shen Monkey, of course, you can buy ingredients to provide for your drink and your soaks. So, I’m curious to see if they do provide one, maybe even two new characters in the Zen Garden, how they could provide a service and value for us as the protagonist in the game, what that would look like. So, let’s talk about a couple of rumors that may or may not be true, but it’s worth talking about at this point cuz we really don’t know anything substantial about the DLC itself. So, take this with a grain of salt, if you will. Last year there was some rumors going on about this picture that was in the background. I believe the director of game science was doing a conference with multiple people and in the background what we really are looking at is the protagonist of the game in a swampy biome with fog kind of settling and an enemy standing on some branches on the water. And this looks really freaking cool. That enemy looks pretty darn scary to be honest. And it looks like he’s holding a staff himself. And again, this was a conference. And I’m anticipating this is actually from the DLC. And this is very heavy speculation and assuming that this is going to be in the DLC, but you have to remember originally the game was going to have 13 chapters, but they decided to cut it pretty much in half due to budget cost and the size of their team, which is an insane amount of cutting considering we’re only pretty much halfway through the story if that is true. Because imagine another six chapters, that’s another 100 bosses or so. That is so much more that needs to be touched. And what comes after the DLC? How does the story end? I’m going to link this article in the description. This is going to provide a bit more information, but it seems like Game Science is here to stick around. There’s going to be maybe even a second DLC, maybe even leading into a sequel. But one thing we do know for sure is in the final true ending in the cut scene when you defeat the great sage, the old monkey picks up the headband and this cut scene plays. So we see Erlang taunting Wukong. Even though Wukong obtains Buddhahood, he will always be a slave to the celestial court due to his headband. Sun Wukong confidently replies to him that he will rip it off and break free. No matter how many times it takes, he will become free. commemorating with all his friends one final toast before raiding the celestial palace. This is a flashback. However, when it fades to an empty cave where it is the present destined one, now Wukong is reawakened looking at the remains of his fallen friends before going back to challenge to heaven. This time unshackled by the tightening golden band. If this game ends with the DLC, us as the Destin one going to the celestial court and absolutely obliterating everyone, this will literally be game of the year. Though this is my own personal theory of what could come into the DLC, the only evidence we have are the ending, the true ending cut scene. Other than that, take this with a grain of salt again and it’s pretty exciting as us as the destined one is reincarnated into Wukong and potentially could face all these enemies in the celestial court. It’s pretty exciting. And just to add on top of that, there are other rumors going out there that Neza might be a part of the DLC as well. a powerful general in the celestial army serving under his father, the picod wielding heavenly king Li Jing. So this character Nessa might even appear in this DLC as an antagonist or even a protagonist that may be a character that could help us. His description continued says he initially confronts Wukong during his rebellion against the Jade Emperor, but they later become allies. Messa plays a role in helping the protagonist defeat various demons throughout the story. He is a key figure in the celestial army and he demonstrates his strength and his prowess. At this point, I know you’re probably thinking, “What is this guy even talking about?” I know I’m going off a limb here. We might not even see the character Nezo. More than likely, the story will be something totally unexpected. And I just want to ask you, what do you expect the DLC will be like? What do you want to see more of? More transformations, maybe? More spells, more armor, even more staffs? Let me know in the comment section below. And if you love Wukong as much as I do, please hit that like and subscribe button. It really helps grow our channel. And thank you so much for watching. Until next time, I’ll see you.
