WWE 2K25: New DLC Coming! Goldberg & Nikki Confirmed!, Free Update, Plus New Island Content!

In this video, we have some major updates regarding the return of Brock Lesnar, along with news of a new special edition featuring new DLC. We got more on the changes in patch 124, the inclusion of a free DLC character, and a big update on the island, which appears to have confirmed the rumors that Nikki Bella and Goldberg will be added to the game in the near future. Before we get into that though, if you’re new to the channel and you want to stay up to date with all the latest wrestling game news, then please do hit that subscribe button and turn on your notifications so that you don’t miss out on future videos. So, let’s talk the latest updates regarding WWE 2K25 as it appears that patch 124 was a much bigger update than was initially realized as alongside the addition of El Grande and the three upcoming Persona cards that I covered in the last video, new leaks have revealed a lot more content is actually planned as the leaks hint at the return of Brock Lesnar, which is also being reported by several of the big wrestling news sites including Fightful. The news of Brock’s return comes in conjunction with rumors of a special John Cena farewell tour edition with the article citing WWE games modder Witty Whitson who last month revealed he’d found text strings in the game files relating to the new edition. Now, as cited in the article, following patch 124, we witness provided an update on this, noting that the game files suggest that the rumored farewell edition will come with a farewell tour edition bonus pack featuring four brand new DLC characters. According to the post, those characters are our truth as Ron Cena with his Cenaike shirt, John Cena, Wrestlemania 41, which looks to be a new version of Cena with his Wrestlemania 41 gear along with his new trrons and new commentary. There’s also a listing for John Cena 03, which could be a classic thuggonomics version like we’ve seen in 2K23, while the final one is the return of the beast, Brock Lesnar. The listing for Brock doesn’t include any additional information, which suggests that it’ll likely be a current version of the character, though, it remains to be seen if 2K will use his previous model or if we’ll get a new one entirely. Brock’s last appearance came in 2K24 where he was originally included as part of the game’s roster and featured in the four years of Wrestlemania showcase. Though following accusations and his removal from TV, Brock was patched out of the main game and only appeared in historical matches within the 2K showcase. Prior to the post, it was assumed we’d have to wait until 2K26 for Brock’s return. As prior to patch 124, there were no mentions of him with Whit Whitson revealing that the character slot used for Brock was previously reserved for an elite action figure version of Invisible John Cena. Though those plans appear to have changed following Brock’s return. On that note, this is a good example of how Dare Mind content like this can change as Whity’s also continued to note that while these references are found in the game files, they’ve not been confirmed by 2K and that plans may still change. While we await official confirmation on the superstars in the farewell tour edition, a new superstar was actually patched into the game as part of the patch 124 update as 2K quietly added a new 2019 version of Charlotte Flair. After installing patch 124, scrolling through the selection screen reveals the new Charlotte Flair 19 character, which appears to have been added as free DLC. Many believe Cory Charlotte is the greatest of all time. When it comes to history, making moments, capturing championships, and excelling inside the squared circle, nobody does it quite like Charlotte Flair. While Charlotte 19 is new to 2K25, it’s not the first time that we’ve seen this model. It was previously featured as an unlockable character in 2K 24. Staying with the addition of new characters, let’s talk the island. As the latest update, it appears to confirm rumors of Nikki Bella and Goldberg being added as content for the pair has now begun appearing in the island. This content can be seen when loading into the mode and bringing up the pause menu as if you select the My Superstar tab and then the banner option. This section contains all the banner images that you can apply to your character. In here, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom, you’ll come across locked banners for the upcoming content, including new banners for Nikki Bella and Goldberg. The banners appear to confirm the longunning rumors that both stars will be added to the game as bonus content is trying to select the banners notes that players will need to complete a quest before they can unlock the banner. The quest to unlock the banners may come in relation to the ongoing La Paradidoria story line as the island features a time travel story that sees the player traveling back to WCW to take on legends like Bret Hart in the nWo with this seemingly the perfect fit for an appearance by Goldberg. Leaning into this sharing more on XY Witerson’s revealed that renders for Goldberg were also added to the game as part of the 1.24 update. Though in addition to his regular selection screen render, the images he shared also include renders of Goldberg wearing jeans and a t-shirt which appear to be renders that’s used in the island story line. As the images show different pauses that’s used in the storyboards leading into matches. Given the inclusion of the banners and now the renders, it appears that Goldberg is set to be added soon potentially as part of the next chapter update. Though it remains to be seen if you’ll be part of the main story or if this is some kind of DLC. Staying with the island, it appears that we’re also getting some new versions of current stars is continuing to tease some of the upcoming content posting on X. We witness revealed plans for four versions of Roman Reigns with these including Luchidor Roman Reigns, supernatural Roman Reigns, Hero Roman Reigns, and Arcade Roman Reigns. The four new characters appear to be tied to each of the districts within the island as we have a new version of Roman for each with this potentially leading to some sort of takeover story line which I’d assume we’ll see us facing off against each of them. Moving on, let’s talk the new Persona cards as it was revealed yesterday that we’re getting classic versions of AJ Styles 2000, Cody Rhodess 22, and Trish Stratus 03. Now, now in an update to this posting on X, we wson revealed that there’s also a listing for Trish Stratus 2000 with this version including a new Legends version of her original Titantron, which surprisingly includes footage of TNA’s Test and Albert. The inclusion of Test and Albert is something that a lot of people have picked up on, as usually when including older Trrons or any archival footage, 2K have to cut out or blur any footage of stars who aren’t under contract. In the case of Albert, WWE, you’re free to use his likeness as he’s contracted to the company as the head trainer at the Performance Center. Though, in the case of Test, who passed away in 2009, it’s been speculated that his estate may have signed some sort of legends contract. If they have, not only would this allow Test to appear in archival footage, but it would also open up the possibility of including him in future games such as 2K26. If that is the case, the inclusion of Trish Stratus 2000 may be an indication for the future as there may be plans to include TNA in 2K26. To be clear, I do want to add that this is just speculation at this point as as I mentioned earlier, any content found within the game files may still change as the next update could see the Tron removed or test blurred out. So, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement from 2K. So, that’s the latest updates regarding patch 124. the rumored farewell edition and the new content that’s coming to the island. Let me know what you make of it in the comments. And if you missed the previous video covering the El Grande release and some of the other changes in the patch, I’ll leave a link to that on screen. Until next time though, thank you so much for watching this video. Have yourself an awesome day and I’ll catch you later.

In this video we’re following up the coverage of Patch 1.24 for WWE 2K25, as new reports citing files found within the game files suggest that Brock Lesnar is set to be added to the game as DLC, while other findings appear to confirm the rumours of Nikki Bella and Goldberg coming to The Island!

The news of Brock Lesnar’s return comes via WWE Games modder WittyWitterson who has shared details of the a proposed John Cena Farewell Tour Edition DLC Pack found within the game files, with this edition set to include Brock Lesnar, R-Truth Ron Cena, John Cena ’03 and John Cena WM41 as new DLC Superstars.

In addition to the news of the new bonus edition DLC, it appears the rumours of Nikki Bella and Goldberg being added to the game is true, as following patch 1.24 banners for both stars have been added to the Banners section when customising your Superstar in the Island.

Also featured in this video we have details of some new free DLC content that was patched in with the latest update and details of a new Trish Stratus ’00 character which could hint at the upcoming return of Test and Albert, potentially in WWE 2K26.
