FREE STEAM PC GAME DLC REVEALED + PLAY A HUGE STEAM GAME FREE SOON AND MORE FREE STEAM STUFF!
Yo, what’s going on guys? Mush back at it with another video. Got quite a lot to talk about in this video. An overwhelmingly positive received Steam title, one that has gone a little bit under the radar. Um, want to give it some attention as it is getting some free DLC. If you’re into action platformers, a great cyberpunk aesthetic has been on my toplay for quite a while. I mean, it came out back in November of 23. So, you know, there’s only so much time in the day and I can’t get to every game under the sun, but I do want to give that game a shout and our friends at Instant Gaming do have it a bit discounted if you want to pick it up. And again, it’s getting some free DLC, so we’ll talk that. Speaking of free, we’re going to cover a lot of free stuff. There’s going to be a major free weekend here in just a couple of days, kicking off on September the 11th, and it’ll be running until September the 15th. We’ve got a bunch of free games that have been released on Steam. Somebody actually commented and told me about a game that uh his two friends worked on. And it’s a free title. I want to give that a shout since that user supported the channel. And uh you know, if if uh if any of you know anybody that’s in the game development world and they’re working on some sort of indie project, you could always reach out to me. You can either email me, leave a comment. I try to read the comments as much as I can because there have been other instances of this that have happened and it’s a free title, so I thought I would give that a shout. We’ll go over some other free stuff that’s available on Steam as far as free games and demos. So, more on that at the end of this video, but right off the bat, is getting a free update with free DLC. Now, is an action platformer with a retro aesthetic. Uh, and they put out a post uh yesterday, yesterday morning. It’s been a while since our last update. It’s hard to believe that was released almost two years ago. Even now, we continue to feel the passion and love that players have for the game. Developing has never been easy, but because of your support, we’ve been able to move forward step by step. Thank you truly. Today, we’re excited to share news about first DLC. When we originally set our goal, we promised two short DLC episodes, 20 to 30 minutes each, but the response to the game has been far greater than we expected. In return, we wanted to create something more meaningful to you. That said, Tsunami is a tightly structured linear game. Its story already has a closed ending and the gameplay leaves a little room to expand. We tested countless ideas for new levels and modes, but most felt incomplete or unworthy of the game. So, we set them aside. We also decided that making a flimsy spin-off just for the sake of content would not be respectful to the fans who cherished the original experience. Instead, we’re preparing something different, a spin-off DLC featuring a brand new playable character completely distinct from the main hero. And that is a Haunted Day. The spin-off DLC will be released for free. We hope you enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed pouring our time and effort into creating it. Thank you for again for being a part of the journey. And as many of you guessed, the protagonist this time is Major Song. The story is about the Major Song when she worked for number 12 also before she encountered the general. While the main character of Sabi showcased stylish aerial maneuvers with the grappling hook, Major Song brings her own dynamic combat style combining recoverable mid-erial jumps with the raw power of a shotgun as well. one spin-off, a haunted day will be coming and uh we don’t have a release window on this, but it is noted to be a two-hour scenario. Eight normal stages and two bosses in the game. That’s pretty damn good all things considered. So, uh, good stuff there. And like I said at the top, is discounted over at our friends at Instant Gaming. It’s $10.56. So, go ahead and check that out. Link in the description box below if you do want to pick it up. And the game does have an overwhelmingly positive reception on Steam. 458 reviews, 95% positive. So, a really solid reception on that. Again, if you’re into throwback stylish platformers, might be something worthwhile to check out there. All right, speaking of free, Dune Awakening will be having, I believe it’s its second free weekend, kicking off on September the 11th. Dude Awakening is a game that came up came out to a lot of buzz and fanfare. Let’s actually pull up the community hub. How many concurrent players is it rocking right now? 19,153. So it was, I believe, north of 100k when it initially came out. So it’s falling off a little bit, but hey, that’s about the rate like 3 months after release being down to 20% of your concurrent player count. Uh, you know, that’s about the range you would expect. The game does have a mostly positive reception, 38,000 reviews, 73% positive. Um, I played some of the pre-release periods of the game, and it’s an interesting survival uh open world game. I’ve heard the PvP is kind of crazy as far as that’s concerned and the free weekend might have you just get absolutely cooked. Uh the chapter 2 free update and lost harvest DLC is available right now. The Lost Harvest DLC is paid. The base game is $49.99, so keep that in mind. But uh yeah, the free weekend will be kicking off on September the 11th and you’ll get 4 days to play it. So if you do want to check it out for yourself, you’ll have an opportunity to do so. And Dune Awakening is a game that’s also discounted over at Instant Gaming. $43.51 for that. I’ll leave a link to that in the description box as well. If you are interested in picking it up at a bit of a discount, you’ll get a Steam key on both that and getting free DLC. Dune Awakening. You should probably wait for the free weekend, try it out, and then see if you like it. So, that’s the route I would go on that. All right, moving on from that. I do want to highlight some freetoplay games that have dropped on Steam. Again, done by two people, friends of a viewer of this channel. We have Crossplanet. Crossplanet is a game that notes built by two people. CrossPlanet is a free fast-paced third-person multiplayer shooter with tight skill-based combat. Wield a variety of weapons and outmaneuver enemies to win with mechanics such as evade, double jump, and grapple hook. No fluff, no microtransactions, just pure action. 46 reviews, only 67% positive. And uh yeah, you can check out that game right now. developed over four years by two core developers and a handful of friends assisting CrossPlanet is now being released for free in its current state as a love letter to the genre and the players who still crave tight gameplay first arena shooters. Yeah, we need more of those. Uh unfortunately, the game has shifted a little bit. Crossplanet puts combat at the core. Sprint, double jump, evade, jetpack, aim down sights, and outmaneuver your enemies across a variety of dynamic multiplayer maps and modes. Choose from 11 distinct weapons, each with unique handling and purpose. two vehicles with insane power and durability and engage in high stakes battles that reward precision and movement. So, that is available right now. It’s free. You can have a gander at that and arena shooter if you are interested in checking something like that. Um, honestly, these are like the types of over-the-top shooters that I grew up playing. Like, if if you guys know me at this point, like I’m too washed up to play multiplayer shooters. I get absolutely obliterated in them. And um you know just for my own mental sake uh I don’t play a lot of multiplayer games these days. It’s crazy cuz like Borderlands 4 is coming out and so many people have hit me up to be in their group to play that game multiplayer and even that game I don’t think I’m going to play. I might dabble in the multiplayer a little bit but it’s just like man I know my boys are just here to roast me because I’m bad at these games and then when you talk about competitive multiplayer games it’s just like yeah your boy’s going to get cooked. That Trails in the Sky first chapter does have its free demo available. I need everybody that’s remotely into JRPGs to go play this. Man, it’s the first game in it’s a remake of the first game that kicks off an epic saga of JRPGs. Yeah, I know a lot of you guys hate the weeaboo stuff, but guess what? I need to do my part and make sure everybody under the sun picks up Trails in the Sky first chapter. Uh, the game kicks off the saga that is Legend of Heroes. It’s incredible. The demo, from what I’ve heard, everybody that’s played it and hit me up about it, has loved it. Uh, I got one of my buddies, I said the story before, but he told me not to play the demo because I would be upset that the game isn’t out. And you know what? The demo is to sell people on the game. I’m already sold. Anything Legend of Heroes, I’mma be all over. You know, even Daybreak 2 that came out earlier this year and I wasn’t crazy about, I still really enjoyed that game, all things considered. and that demo available now. The game will be out September the 19th. Couple of more free games to round out this video. We have Red Shift, a brand new horror free title. A lot of horror free games been coming out on Steam. A short solo developed psychological narrative horror game where you close your eyes to reveal a hidden layer of reality. The Red Shift. Uncover the secrets of the facility Tower 7 and survive what hunts you within Redshift. Positive reviews on this. 32 reviews, 84% positive. So, if you’re looking for a horror game, you can check that out. And then a throwback shooter, Unchained, a fast-paced retro first-person shooter in which you can compete in different game modes, maps using a large arsenal of unique and deadly weapons, and some cool power-ups to defeat your enemies. Positive reception on this 43 reviews, 83% positive. So, another throwback game there. Check that out if you’re interested. Totally free. But that is going to do it for me. Again, an overwhelmingly positive received game on Steam, getting free DLC. Get that game discounted on Instant Gaming. Dune Awakening will be having its second free weekend on September the 11th until September 15th. If you want to play that, that’ll be available for free and discounted on Instant Gaming as well.
