DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO (DLC 3) – Early Access

All right, you guys. Welcome back to the channel here with some more Dragon Ball Sparking Zero updates. Today, we’re going to be going over everything you need to know about the upcoming DLC pack, also known as Da DLC 2. We’re going to be going over the new HD gameplay screenshots they just recently implemented, the release date, the free updates, when that’s going to be starting, when it’s going to be ending, maintenance, how long the runtime is going to be, early access, and even the patch notes. I’m trying my best to include everything into this one video here just because early access actually starts tomorrow. So without further ado, make sure to drop a like on today’s video, turn on post notifications, and let’s jump straight into it. Over here on the official Spark Zero website, they went ahead and added the HD gameplay screenshots. We have all six characters. Start things off with Goku Mini Super Saiyan 4. He’s pretty dang cool if you ask me. I would have liked to see Super Saiyan 3 Goku mini as well and even Super Saiyan 2. My thought process behind this, well, if they included Super Saiyan Mini from the first Dama DLC, they went ahead and added an outfit over base mini Goku, right? How he had a different ultimate attack and he was able to transform into Super Saiyan. They could have done the same thing for Super Saiyan 2, three, and even four, but unfortunately that’s not the case. Kind of strange. I don’t know why they’re not including two mini Goku and even SSJ3, but it is what it is. At the end of the day, I think this character is pretty dang cool still just because of his ultimate, the upside down flame Kamaha. It seems like he gets to add an additional burst because first based off the trailer, he just throws out the original energy wave and then with that burst, that’s when the flame will be making an appearance. But yeah, can’t wait to play as him. Comment down below the character you’re looking forward to the most. My character, of course, is going to be Goku Dault Super Saiyan 4. Man, oh man, we’re literally playing the anime. So, this is going to be his ultimate attack and something similar with the previous variants of Goku and Vegeta. The name it says Goku and then the anime they’re from in parenthesis and then their transformation. So, Goku Da Super Saiyan 4. But yeah, this cutscene for the ultimate here is just going to be top tier. Looking forward to that. Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, man. Oh man, he is super cool if you ask me. So, going back to DLC 1, I mainly played as Goku and Piccolo, right? That’s two characters. Going back to DLC 2, I mainly played as Mini Goku and Mini Vegeta. That’s two characters. This DLC for me personally, I’m going to playing at least three of them. Mini Super Saiyan 4 Goku, adult Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and Vegeta Da. So, I’m getting my money’s worth. And we don’t necessarily know how much this DLC is going to be costing the standalone variation. Of course, if you purchase the season pass, it’ll be included in the bundle, but they usually drop the price of this download DLC when they drop the official release, right? Dope Vegeta utilizing Final Flash. I want it to be called something else instead of just Final Flash. I mean, it is the technique after all, but it would be cool if it’s called something like ultimate final flash or full power final flash. You know what I mean? can’t wait to play as that character. And you already know the dialogue, the interactions between, you know, Goku and the cast characters, Vegeta and the cast characters. Maybe even like Vegeta going up against his mini self, they might have unique dialogue. And if you guys heard in the trailer, they’re implementing the English voiceovers. About time. They did that last DLC 2, you know, with Mini Goku. Just him, uh, Glorio, Panzy, Vegeta still all had the Japanese voiceovers. So, it seems like this DLC 3 is going to be incorporating all of the English voiceovers for all of the Dacast characters. Looking forward to that. Here we have Majendu. So, we do see him transform into that Super Saiyan 3 ability, right? But it’s just going to be for his ultimate just because here is the ultimate outro, I guess you could say. You know, where he’s all fatigued, rips directly from the anime itself. If you do a frame by frame comparison from the Sparking Zero trailer image to the anime, it’s like almost the same exact thing. Kind of cool. But yeah, very interesting. We do have Majin Coup and DLC 2, so it makes sense to get Majin Du. Uh, do you guys think that Super Saiyan 3 form should have been a transformation? I think it’s fine as an ultimate attack because even if you go to the anime, he stayed in that form for like 2 seconds. Luck Kyle can burst if you will. Oh yeah, what if that’s a blast one power boost? That could be interesting. Yeah, have it as a blast one power boost and you know he transforms into it for the ultimate as well. That could be cool. I could actually see that happening. So, the last two characters, we have the main antagonist himself, Third Eye GM. You know, this is when he was going up against the mini characters and then he got completely bodied by Super Goku, made him transform into giant GMA, and then eventually the rest of the cast characters reverted to their original size. And yeah, can’t wait to perform all the key clashes, you know, with his gigantic energy sphere against Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Uh, we’ll go ahead and include all the key clashes and, you know, just cool epic showdowns in a compilation. I know a lot of you guys like to witness those energy key clash videos. So, that’s pretty much it for the Sparking Zero website. Six characters, six new HD screenshots. Now, let’s go over here to the Bandon Namco US Twitter page. Here we have the caption and the trailer. Just have that play in the background. Put that on mute. The fight isn’t over. DLC 3 Dragon Ball Diamond Character Pack 2 hits September 25th, 2025 in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero with new playable characters. Unlock 72-hour early access and be the first to join the fights. Plus, a brand new stage, the first demon world arrives as a free update for all players. Okay, so first thing, the release dates. I know they put September 25th, 2025, but right here, perfect timing. According to the trailer, it does say September 24th, 2025. So, which is it, Bandai? Are you trying to confuse us? Now, I feel like they put September 25 in the caption or 25th because uh you know worldwide September 25th everywhere. So, if you’re like Europe time zone, Japanese time zone, it will be the 25th, but over here in the US, it will be the 24th. So, US time zone specifically, September 24th is when DLC is officially going to be dropping for everyone. And if you don’t have early access for the early access users, 72 hours early, that will be the 21st. Here we have an additional tweets. Free update planned for September 21st, Sunday. We do have uh the exact time when maintenance is going to start and when it’s also going to end. Along with the release of DLC 3 DA character pack 2, a free update will be implemented from Dodma. The new stage for Zuma Roam appears. And here we have the patch notes, which again we will break down closer to the end of this video here. So this is just going to be the overview of the stage itself. Dude, about time, right? DLC 1. We did not get a stage. It was a superhero theme pack with Gohan, Piccolo, the Gamas, SL Max. What stage did they fight on? The new Red Ribbon stage. Why didn’t we get that? Bondi, Spike Tunofts. I felt like we could have at least seen one stage per DLC. Red ribbon for DLC 1, DLC 2 either could have been the second or third demon realm, but at least they somewhat rectified themselves. Maybe, maybe, maybe not by including a stage for DLC 3 and it’s going to be part of the free update. So, you don’t have to have the season pass. You don’t have to have any of the DLCs. All you have to have is the base Sparking Zero game. Update the game and then you’ll be able to fight on this first Demon World stage here. Going down. Scheduled maintenance is planned for September 21st from 300 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. As for all the other time zones within the US, that will be 5:00 p.m. to 700 p.m. Central time and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. For the people with the Central European Standard Time, I got y’all. They went ahead and provided this September 22nd from 12:00 a.m. to 200 a.m. Central European Standard Time. During this time, ranked match and the world’s library in custom battle will be unavailable. So, it’s going to last for about 2 hours. The free updates and early access will be playable after maintenance, which again 5:00 p p.m. Pacific Standard Time, which to be fair, I think for DLC 2, Beast Gohan, and Orange Piccolo, when that maintenance ended, we still weren’t able to play the DLC an hour later. So, maintenance will end 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, but you never know. There might be some technical difficulties on their end. There might be some delays. just stay tuned to the channel because as soon as uh we get the official characters in game, I’ll be providing a whole gameplay character showcase for you guys. So, going over here to the early access, we have some small details. Just quickly going over how to do all that. Bandai Namco Entertainment America today announced a new downloadable content update for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the highly anticipated sequel to the legendary Dragon Ball Z Bukati series. The latest DLC, Dragon Ball Diamond Character Pack 2, expands the game’s already massive character roster with six new fighters, which we’ve gone over at the start of the video. Dragon Ball Diamond Character Pack 2 will be available for early access on September 21st, 2025, along with the free update that we also just went over. And players who own or purchase the games deluxe edition, ultimate edition, premium edition, or the indivual individual season pass, DLC 1, two, and even the extra DLC will automatically receive the new content. This pack is available for purchase separately if you don’t have the season pass on September 24th along with a free update available for all players that adds a new contents including first world stage gameplay achievements enhancements uh for all the consoles. So as this article said if you already have the deluxe edition or ultimate edition that means you already have the season pass. So you’re good to go. Just be sure to boot up Sparking Zero at around 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time to play the characters. If you have the game, but didn’t necessarily buy any of these special editions, you can buy the season pass separately. So, you have to have the season pass to unlock the characters early. The season pass itself costs $35. And again, this comes with DLC’s 1, 2, 3, and even the shallots extra DLC. Pretty good deal, right? So, the original game is 70 bucks. However, there is this deal going around. Now, this is for the people who don’t necessarily have Sparking Zero and is looking to purchase the game with the season pass, the deluxe edition. It’s rivaling the base edition of the standard game. 70 bucks for the deluxe mode. Now, it does say right here, offer ends September 24th. So, when the DLC drops officially worldwide. So, if there’s anybody looking to buy Sparking Zero with season pass, you know, get the characters early. 70 bucks for the deluxe edition. Not too bad just because, again, it is the same price as standard edition. Now we have the patch notes. Big thanks to the marketing team for writing this. Uh Dragon Ball Sparking Zero patch 22nd of December. Now this is the European Sparking Zero website. That’s right. It says 22nd, but again the free update is going to be dropping 21st over here in the US. It might be 20 seconds European time zones and again the Japan time zones. So be aware of that. Thank you for playing Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The new patch is planning to be released on September 21st, 3 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. To ensure the best possible Dragon Ball Sparking Zero experience, please apply the latest update file. Target platforms, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. You know, the three big consoles. Uh, we’re going to be upgrading to version 2014. 013.003009.8. Jesus. Uh, general changes slashadjustments. Now, as you guys know, I’m not necessarily a hardcore online player. Don’t necessarily know too much about the ins and outs. So, we’re mainly just going to be reading the patch notes. Uh, just going over some details with examples. Uh, not necessarily the best when it comes to online play. First up, we do have the implementation of the first demon world stage. Next, the single battle category. Characters who recover health upon transformation will no longer do so. Oh my gosh, that’s actually a nerf. Z Broly transforming from Super Saiyan into legendary Super Saiyan. He was one of the characters who could have regenerated his health after transforming. So now that’s not going to apply. Interesting. I wonder why they’re removing that. Characters who can transform will receive a permanent attack power buff when transforming using a skill stock. This buff is removed when inverting the transformation. Huh? Isn’t this normal? Dude, this is like a normal thing that should have been in the game already. You get the power buff when you transform using the skill stock. Obvious. And then when you revert back to your base form, you lose the power buff. That wasn’t a thing before. Am I mistaking? Well, I guess for single battle wasn’t necessarily a thing. I feel like that that’s normal, though. Feature changes/adjustments options added an option for displaying the edge of the battle area, allowing players to choose a method where the boundary appears when approaching it. Wo, that’s interesting. I guess you just get to see it. Yeah, because default mode you can’t necessarily see it until you’re up close and personal. Uh, but now there’s going to be an option to toggle where you can see it even if you guys are far away from the invisible wall, the boundary. Game mode changes slash adjustments. Yep. Episode battle. So, this is the story missions. Adjusted the difficulty of some stages in accordance with the battle system adjustments. Custom battle added 2D cutscenes and text. Some additional ones of those. Ranked match. All right, this is interesting. A lot of you guys are probably interested in this one right here. Players will now receive a minimum of 50 points regardless of the difference in ranked points. Okay, so if you’re super low going up against an A rank, if you lose a battle, you’ll still be getting that 50 points. At the end of the season, players ranked first to 100 place will receive a tax title indicating their rank. Some special treatment for the top 100. I see. What about the bottom 1 millionth? Similarly, for character ranks, player ranked first to 100 will receive a text title indicating their rank at the end of the season. Okay. Battle system changes/ adjustments. Short dash. Players can now perform another short dash immediately after starting one by only once. So, you can perform an additional short dash after you just performed one. Maybe like one time throughout the entire battle, I’m assuming. So, you have to use it wisely. Use it strategically. We have the ascent and descent increase the speed of ascent and descent at close range. Okay. I feel like they kind of nerfed this for the androids though, didn’t this? Because isn’t there this one ability where you just keep flying up and down as the androids? Oh, that’s because of their infinite stamina. Never mind. But when you’re up close to an opponent this time around, yeah, if you go up and down, uh, the speed will be increased. Quick ascent and quick desense. Increased key conception. Ooh, so you guys are going to be burning a lot more key when you use the quick variation of the ascent and descent. Interesting. Going to have to conserve all of that. General ultimate blasts reduce the damage reduction correction when hitting with ultimate blast during combos. Ooh, okay. So, a little bit more of the damage scaling, right? making that a bit more strict by doing less damage within a very good combo string. Key blast deflect. Players can now quickly perform smash attacks during key blast deflect. Interesting. Super counter. Key will no longer automatically recover during super counter. Oh, okay. See through. The follow-up techniques after successful perception can now be charged by holding the perception button. Sonic Sway fix an issue where follow-up attacks after Sonic Sway could be guarded for some characters. All right, that’s good. That’s good. Revenge counter fixed an issue where the activation window for perception against revenge counter was shorter than intended. Okay, so they I guess lengthen the time of that guard break fix an issue where smash attacks in the same direction could not break guards after a guard break. Paralyzing smash key blast like cooler. I believe he has one of those. Increased key consumption. That’s good. Revenge counter can now be used when hit from the front. Hitting twice in a combo will now cause the opponent to be blown away instead of being paralyzed. Oh, that’s a big one right there. Instead of being par paralyzed, if you get hit with the same string, you know, the same loop, uh, then you’ll just fly away. That’s actually a good way to nerf all that. Tornado slash fix an issue where guarding could be inserted during tornado slash scale changes slash adjustments. This is what I’m mainly interested in, but it seems like only diso is going to be getting a change. Disbow super maximum lightning speed. An icon will now be displayed during the effect duration. Key consumption for short dashes is reduced during the effect. Woo. So, it just seems like he gets you spam his short dashes a bit more since he’s going to be requiring a little bit less key blast changes/ adjustments. General unblockable rush blasts can now be evaded with auto evasion skills such as after image technique. Hey, that’s cool. I know. Uh Goku Black, his base form, doesn’t he have an unblockable rush move? The bind technique. Yeah. So, uh that’s good. Character changes/adjustments. Gogeta DBS Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Blue increase the attack power of the smash key blast performed on the spot. Whis adjusted the blast overture to destruction to be less likely to hit opponents directly above or below. We have the other category battle rules fixed an issue where stepping out of bounds during battles with ring outs would not result in a ring out. online match fix that issue where the on-creen UI sometimes not being displayed. And that’s it for the patch notes. And that also concludes today’s video. Again, just wanted to kind of do this complete breakdown. Thank you guys for the immense support as always and I’ll see you guys in the next one. Thanks for watching. Peace.
