Borderlands 4 – Players Just Discovered THIS HUGE FIND! Big DLC is Coming!

Welcome back, Vault Hunters. We’ve got a jam-packed video for you today. Starting off with a fellow Vault Hunter who looks like they have made a big discovery relating to the upcoming DLC expansion for Borderlands 4. You definitely don’t want to miss this. Also, does the Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulty really improve loot quality? Well, a fan took the time out to compare loot quality between easy and ultimate fault hunter difficulties, and the results may surprise you, and it looks like someone may have found the source of what’s been causing bad performance on the console versions of the game. Wait until you find out what may be causing the problem. And I’ll go over your top comments as well and talk about what just happened to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. And no, unfortunately, it’s not good news. So, let’s jump into the video, Vault Hunters, and find out what’s been going on in the world of Borderlands. So, let’s start things off with a very interesting find by fellow Vault Hunter Adam, who posted this image on the Borderlands 4 community group. And he said the following um possible DLC area, question mark. So, this image of what appears to be a map of a possible new area coming to the game has definitely generated a lot of buzz in the Borderlands 4 group. Now, what we do know is that according to the official Borderlands 4 road map posted by Gearbox, we will definitely be receiving a whole new map zone in quarter 1 of 2026. So, could this in-game map represent what we could be getting in quarter 1? If so, this is definitely an exciting find for sure. So, what do you guys make of this map? Leave your comments down below. and what do you guys want to see in the upcoming expansion? Sound off in the comments. And we have yet another interesting find by a Vault Hunter that goes by the name of Galactic Tip. They have discovered what may be causing the frame rate on consoles to decrease the longer you play, which has been forcing Vault Hunters to quit and restart the game after a couple hours to basically reset the frame rate back to 60 frames per second as it should be. So, according to Galactic Tips video, as you continue to loot areas on the map and then move to other areas to loot again, all of that remaining loot will stay behind on the ground. And it looks like the more you do this, the more the game stores this loot in memory so that when you go back to visit that particular area, that loot will remain on the ground. And as Galactic Tip kept looting and testing this, he noticed that the performance of his game began to slow down. But when going into a loading zone, like a vault, and then returning back to the map, it then wiped all of that loot from the memory and it was gone, which then appears to have, you guessed it, resulted in fixing the frame rate. So, what does this mean in terms of fixing the performance issue? So, it looks like Gearbox may need to actually wipe remaining left behind loot from a memory when the player gets far away from that loot in order to prevent these frame rates from decreasing over time. Now, we are not 100% sure, of course, if this is really the root cause of the decreasing performance on consoles, but it sure looks like it could be the culprit. But for now, if you are experiencing those decreasing frame rates over time, remember to simply restart your game and go back into it. And this should fix the frame rate issues until Gearbox officially patches it. And in case you missed it, Vault Hunters Digital Foundry did a complete breakdown of Borderlands 4’s performance on console and echoed what everybody has been saying about performance. After playing the game for a while, they saw the game’s performance degrade clear into the 30 frames per second when the game should have been maintaining 60 frames per second. And this was posted by Synth Potato on Twitter who said, “Digital Foundry has confirmed Borderlands 4’s performance degrades overtime on all consoles. drop start after 30 minutes and reach as low as 720p, 35 frames per second after one hour. Absolutely unacceptable that this was allowed to launch like this. Randy says restarting fixes it, so it’s fine. And then they go on to post this genuinely crying at these rendering resolutions. So, it’s going to be interesting to see exactly what is causing these problems. And again, our guess is that it could in fact be that accumulation of left behind loot in the game that appears to be stored in memory the longer you play the game as Galactic Tips pointed out in their video. So, I’ll be keeping you guys up to date on the upcoming patch for this because Gearbox has confirmed they are working on a patch to improve console performance. So, the moment they release the concrete release date of that patch, I’ll let you guys know in an upcoming video. Also, C21 has taken to Reddit and posted a big warning to modders who are playing with mods on PC. They pointed out that modders can’t play online anymore and then actually reposted what Miss had to say on Twitter and said, “Apparently, Gearbox has made it so that people using the Wii mod cheat can no longer play online. So, no more risk of being given 1 billion XP as soon as you join a multiplayer game. Big win.” And then complaint police said the following. This would be absolutely amazing. No one cares that you cheat in your own game, but affecting others without permission is whack. And then insanely smart said, “Funnily enough, the trainer Wii mod itself turns off online play while you use it on Borderlands 4. Honestly, huge respect to them for doing this.” So yeah, playing mods with online enabled is very, very risky. And as pointed out, most mods will attempt to disable online to prevent banning from happening. Of course, however, modding is still very risky, especially ones that involve modifying stats and that appear to be affecting everyone that’s joined the lobby. So, you know, again, be very careful out there using mods. And my take on it is to just play the game for fun and really enjoy the experience and just avoid the mods completely to avoid being banned. I don’t recommend it at all. I’m not sure why anyone would want to alter their stats manually anyway because it takes the fun out of the game, right? The whole purpose of the game is progressing your character, going and fighting bosses, discovering loot, and just having fun that way. So, let me know what you guys think in the comments about mods. Do you even use mods at all? Sound off in the comments down below. And a vault hunter by the name of Glitching Queen has answered a very important question for the community in a video she made, and I’ll put a link to it in the description below. And she asked, “Do Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulties really improve the loot quality that you get?” So, in her video, she says it looks like in regards to loot farming, easy mode is actually the best difficulty to do this since the enemies are easier to kill and you take 20% less damage. Plus, since you can clear out enemies so quickly, you’ll actually earn the XP much faster. This is definitely an interesting find for sure, and I’ve seen more vault hunters challenging these findings, but it looks pretty legit so far. The question is, will Gearbox patch the game in order to make Ultimate Vault Hunter mode that much more worthwhile and rewarding? I’m sure they will after hearing about this. Now, don’t worry because not all is lost when it comes to Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulty because turning on Ultimate Vault Hunter is still worth it in many cases. And according to many vault hunters out there, when Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulty is activated, the game will actually start dropping firmware for your weapons that you can only get when UVH is active. Now, this could change in the future, but as it stands now, this alone makes UVH worth it for many vault hunters. So, what do you guys think? Will you be grinding for loot on easy mode, going for those legendaries, or will you be going for the more unique firmware in the UVH difficulties? Also, this was posted by Fickle Molasses on Reddit about how firmware should be storeable in a firmware library. And they went on to say the following. We should be able to deconstruct firmware from items and store them in a firmware library. and code name DVL responded to this and said that would solve our bank issues, too. Who’s got a bunch of trash gear in their bank only because of firmware. I just feel like they need to do something that kills two issues with one bird. And Fickle said, exactly. I started collecting firmware from green items. So, in other words, they’re just collecting green crappy items just for the firmware. And I love the idea for the firmware library. Not only would it free up space in your inventory, but it would also allow you to organize your firmware in a firmware library as well. So, awesome idea here. I hope Gearbox listens. Also, we’ve got some sad news about the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. The official Borderlands 4 Twitter posted this breaking news to the Vault Hunters and said, “Greetings, Vault Hunters. We need to share that the release of Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 is being delayed. We do not take this decision lightly, but are committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our fans. And the game needs additional development and polish time to do that. Our hope is to also better align this release with the addition of cross saves, which we are working on and recognize is very important. We will update you on all the new release timing once we fully adjusted our plans. And then they go on to say, in accordance with Nintendo’s policy, all digital pre-orders to date will be cancelled. Customers can initiate the process themselves now or it will happen automatically starting on Friday, September 26th. For questions about the Nintendo eShop, contact and then they put the URL. For physical pre-orders, please reach out to the corresponding retailer. We greatly appreciate the feedback, support, and patience of our fans and community. It’s truly what keeps us going. So, yeah, let me know in the comments. Honest question here. Have any of you pre-ordered this game on Nintendo Switch 2? Personally, I don’t know any of my friends that have pre-ordered this on Nintendo Switch 2, but let me know in the comments if this has affected you. I mean, I think we’re all thinking the same thing. I can’t imagine this game running well on Nintendo Switch 2, especially with the existing performance issues on the existing consoles like the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X, which are much more powerful than the Nintendo Switch 2, if I’m not mistaken. But regardless though, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for any new release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, just in case you guys are interested in that. Also, check this out, guys. This was posted by Gizm Modin on Reddit. They said, “I’ll never get tired of this aesthetic and posted a comparison between the Arcane character and the character in Borderlands 4.” And of course, there’s more similarities uh in Borderlands 4 to Arcane. And I love that, you know, Borderlands took some inspiration from Arcane for some of the characters, for some of the aesthetics in the game. There were so many moments when I was playing the campaign and I was like, “Wow, that reminds me so much of Arcane.” And there was one particular cutscene in Borderlands 4 where I was like, “That’s definitely some Arcane inspiration right there.” So, I think it’s really cool that they drew some inspiration from Arcane. And check out this awesome fireworks shield that was posted by Vault Hunter some shooter. As you can see, the ability will basically do damage for you as you run around your enemy. In fact, some vault hunters say they don’t even have to kill the enemies themselves and that the shield will do all of the work for them, which is pretty crazy. Now, I haven’t found this shield just yet, so it seems pretty rare. I played a lot of the game. I’m surprised I haven’t found the shield just yet. So, let me know in the comments. Have you guys found this shield? And what do you think of it? And I also found this funny post right here. I already made a video about this, but someone found another legendary porter potty find. So, daily reminder to make sure you check your porter potties. You never know what you’re going to find. And it’s that time in the video where I go over your top comments, Vault Hunter. So, let’s start off with Reckless Snipes, who says, “I got an order AR with a Jacobs attachment for grit ricochet and a ripper attachment that turned it into an automatic firing weapon, and it instantly became one of the best guns I’ve come across for kinetic damage.” So, this sounds freaking awesome. I have yet to come across this myself, but this sounds like it would turn the order guns into something worthwhile because, as you know, in the previous videos, we discussed how the order guns are the least liked weapon manufacturer in the entire game simply because you have to charge every single one of their weapons. So, this is a really cool find right here. and let me know if you guys have found any additional improvements to the order guns that are making them better. Now, Pandemic Cat 7 said, “Got a legendary order weapon at level 12, and it’s still shredding at level 23.” So, yes, some people are indeed liking the order guns, even though it does seem to be a rare group of vault hunters. Now, Garflog 643 said, “I opened the fridge next to the bank in the launch pad, and guess what? There was a legendary for my brother. Lol.” And this is hilarious to know. I’m going to have to really pay attention to these different areas because it seems like people again are finding these legendaries in the most unlikely spots. And I play with my bro as well all the time. So I’ll have to look out for those legendary weapons for my bro Robbie next time we play. And we’ve been having an absolute blast co-oping Borderlands 4. It has been so much fun. And that’s going to do it for the Borderlands 4 news, guys. Hope you enjoyed it. Hit that like button if you did.
