Dragon Ball Z x Minecraft DLC is real…
All right, you guys. Welcome back to the channel. We just received an unexpected Dragon Ball announcement. We’re going to go ahead and talk a little bit about this and break everything down. So, without further ado, make sure to drop a like on today’s video, turn on post notifications, and let’s jump straight into it. The popular video game known as Minecraft is going to be collabing with the hit anime series Dragon Ball. The reason why this is cool to me, not necessarily because of Minecraft. I’m not even the biggest Minecraft fan. However, I am familiar with the game. I have played it. Some of you guys even probably found this channel because of that one Dragon Ball Z Minecraft mod pack called Dragon Block C. Hey, shout outs to all the OGs. We’ll go ahead and talk a little bit more about that later at the end of this video. But it’s just epic to see Dragon Ball as a whole, you know, the IP in general branching out and collabing with other franchises, right? This is not even the very first time Dragon Ball’s collabing with a different video game. I’m sure you guys remember the Fortnite and Dragon Ball Super collaboration. Oh, something I just noticed. Yeah. So, Dragon Ball Super collabed with Fortnite and now Dragon Ball Z based off the logo is collabing with Minecraft. So, don’t necessarily expect Super Saiyan Blue, Super God, Ultra Instinct, God of Destruction, you know, with the Minecraft add-on. I mean, based off the five characters we have there and the logo and it’s more going to be DBZ, which is totally fine in my book because Dragon Ball is Dragon Ball at the end of the day. Everything Dragon Ball related is epic, right? So, in the Fortnite collaboration, we got four characters. Beerus, Bulma, Vegeta with his respective transformations, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and Blue Evolved. Goku with his different forms, original Super Saiyan as well, Blue and Ultra Instinct. They even went ahead and threw in the mythic Kamehameha skill. Now, that was great because the gameplay itself, the core mechanic was still essentially the same. You know, you just played as the Dragon Ball characters as skins, right? You still had to roam around the map with the weapons, you know, be the last man standing. You know, it wasn’t like you got to fly around the map, uh, throw energy waves. Uh, they did give us the transformations via the emotes, but it was still fun, don’t get me wrong. The second game that Dragon Ball collabed with, at least to my knowledge, was PUBG. Now, there are different variants of the PUBG video game. I think there’s like the console version, the PC/ Steam version, and even the mobile. Now, Dragon Ball Super once again, you know, based off the characters and logo, DBS clapped with the mobile variation. We got fourth form Frieza, Vegeta, Superhero, Gohan, and Piccolo, right? because the pads over Piccolo’s arms. Uh, in DBZ, it’s more of that magenta or pinkish color. Uh, but in the superhero movie, it’s more of that golden tint over them. Uh, you can tell that’s superhero Gohan because of his ultimate form, the hair model slightly different. The outfit with the wristbands, the shoes. Uh, Goku right there with the go, you know what I mean? So, this was actually a very fun collaboration. And I don’t think that many people knew about this, but you actually got to play as the Dragon Ball character. So Goku, you literally got to fly around the stage and throw down energy blasts. And you know, each character had their own unique abilities. So Goku with the Kam Maha, Vegeta with the ga gun. It wasn’t just one mythic skill. Fortnite, you know, they did things proper over here. And this made me actually want a legitimate Dragon Ball Battle Royale game. If they do something along those lines, that will be epic. First, it was the asymmetrical Dragon Ball the Breakers. Now the mobile style game, Geek and Squadra. So, if they keep following the pattern, hopefully the next genre, Battle Royale, please, they could do things wonders with that genre. You know what I’m saying? Anyway, I do digress. Now, the third game that Dragon Ball is tapping with, again, Minecraft. We’re not entirely sure how they’re going to be doing things over here. I’m kind of skeptical because I just don’t want it to be the basic Minecraft game where you play as the Dragon Ball character skins and just start building things. I think that’d be pretty dang bare bones in my honest opinion. I know that’s like the core gameplay of Minecraft, but hopefully there’s a bit more to it. That’s all I’m trying to say. We’ll actually go ahead and talk a little bit more about that topic later on. So, we do have this short teaser trailer and the caption that Minecraft themselves tweeted out, “Get ready for the Dragon Ball Z DLC coming soon.” So, we don’t necessarily have a ton of details, just this 15-second teaser. Uh, stay tuned to the channel if you guys are interested because whenever we get additional info, I’ll be sure to let you guys know. In the meantime, get your Super Saiyan hair in the Minecraft marketplace and start charging up. So, this is going to be for your custom character, I guess you could say. You know, Minecraft Steve. It’s only about 15 seconds, so not necessarily the longest. They do provide some additional details. We’ll break this down, but we have the Minecraft mascots summoning Shenron. Look at that. Kind of cool. And they literally transform into a Super Saiyan. Again, a lot of this stuff could just be for the visuals. I don’t think will be able to transform into Super Saiyan just because we literally have the caption right here. In the meantime, get your Super Saiyan hair. So, it’s going to be more of an accessory/e equipment. However, at the same time, it does say start charging up. So, maybe we can do that after we equip the Super Saiyan Hair, you know, provide this cool aura. I’m not sure. But um Shenron, we have some of the cast characters. You see how they literally transform? Hopefully that’s a thing, man. Your wish is granted. So, can we even gather the Dragon Balls, you know, summon Shenron, they’ll most likely have some default wishes we get to ask for. DBZ era, I guess you could say. Some of it from the Majin Buu saga, some of it from before the Android saga because we have adult Gohan with the ghee, you know, training up to the World Tournament arc, or I guess going based off the movies, the Broly second coming, right? That’s when he wore that. We have Goku who doesn’t necessarily have a logo. You know, he has a ton of these orange geese, right? Some of them with the Goi, some of them with the turtle hermit logo and others with the King Kai logo. It just depends off the saga. Since this is more, I guess Majin Buu, he doesn’t necessarily have that logo over the ghee. But then when you look at the other characters like Krillin, I believe that’s the outfit from the Android saga. And Vegeta, also from the Cell Saga, I believe, because he has the golden um footwear over the shoes, you know what I mean? Early Android saga. It’s just the one monochrome white boot look. And plus, obviously, the sand battle armor didn’t necessarily have that in the Majin Buu arc. Uh, Piccolo, he’s wearing the outfit in the entire Dragon Ball animate. So, he’s from all the arcs, man. Can he use lights grenade? Can he use special beam cannon? We literally see Goku utilizing the torto destructive wave, more famously known as the Kamehameha. So, what are they trying to say? Are they saying that yes, we get to perform the iconic key blast attacks? transform, play as the cast characters, hopefully fly around the Minecraft worlds. Let’s go a step further beyond that. Are they going to be providing the actual Dragon Ball universe? You know, let’s say if we want to play as Gohan, can we fly over to Capsule Corporation? Can we fly over to the Sacred Lands, go up to Corin’s Tower, go even further beyond that to Kami’s lookout? Can we fly over the ocean, go over to the Kame house, you know, visit all these iconic Dragon Ball landmarks, you know? I I want this to be the true Dragon Ball experience instead going back to what I said before, just having this be the normal Minecraft game, but just playing as the character skins. Again, my personal opinion, I know that’s how the game plays, but it would be pretty dang boring. We need it to be, you know, some similar to the other DLC’s, right? Because real quick, going over to this video over here, Minecraft, they’ve been collabing with a ton of other major IPs like Sonic, right? And based off this trailer, I’m not necessarily familiar with the Minecraft add-on packs, but literally just going off of this, we see Sonic free roaming, you know, running around. It seems like you get to play as a character. So that’s the entire Sonic world. I’m not sure if they just did this for the intro. You see him running and then he, you know, goes through the giant ring and then teleports over to the Minecraft. So I get that, but it seems like it might just Oh, maybe not. Maybe not. Yeah. You see how we have the rings? We have uh the the Sonic trampoline right there. And I think they even show more play as Sonic and Friends. Yeah. So if we can go based off this trailer here, it might be something similar. see the characters, the Minecraft warriors, you know, they’re transforming into the Sonic characters. Going back over to uh this same concept where we have the character first transforming into Super and then the cast warriors. So, it might be something similar to that, which would be the best case scenario. And then you know you transform into Sonic, you actually have some of the unique character features. What is it? Craft level features. So Sonic, you literally get to run fast. Knuckles, you actually have super strength. You get to punch through the walls instead of getting the Minecraft axe and then slowly pickaxing each block. No. Be like Sonic over here and Knuckles and just obliterate everything in your path. You know what I mean? So again, if I can go based off this trailer, I know completely different DLC add-on pack, but this is what Minecraft has been doing. You know what I mean? So Goku, what if he could fly, you know? Well, not just Goku, all the cast characters, you know, they could probably fly. Goku, we do see him using the Kamehaha wave. So maybe this could be Peak. You know what I’m saying? Vegeta utilizing the big bing attack. Piccolo, Special Beam, Cannon, Krillin, Destru, Gohan, Masenko, and fly around. Maybe we will have the iconic Dragon Ball landmarks. Uh, so let’s just actually finish this trailer real quick. Yeah, I think Knuckles still has the speed. Tails is even part of this. You see how he can fly? Yeah. So, maybe I’m worrying for nothing. What does that say? Use their powers and abilities. This seems promising. This definitely seems promising. Again, this was just the teaser. the Dragon Ball add-on teaser. They haven’t necessarily shown much. So, stay tuned to the channel and we’ll break down the official trailer review once they inevitably drop that. We have no idea when. Look at that. I get to play as Shadows and he has his teleports ability. I believe they displayed a little bit of of that. So, going over here, shout outs to Dragon Ball Super France. I don’t know why the official Minecraft page tweeted out this 15-second trailer when there’s an extended one. This one is 35 seconds. It’s basically the same thing. We don’t get additional information. It’s just the character climbing up the mountain. Oh, and the dragon balls. Yeah, right there. So, maybe we could, you know, search for all seven dragon balls. Maybe get the dragon radar as the accessory. you know, fly around the worlds right here. To be honest, though, it just seems like the normal Minecraft world. So, maybe they’re just not ready to show the Dragon Ball world with the iconic buildings/ landmarks. Who knows, man? Who knows? We’re just speculating over here. You know, that’s what we do on this channel. And yeah, the rest of the trailer is going to be the same as the 15-second one. The reason why I’m somewhat interested in the official Dragon Ball Z/Minecraft collaboration. One, because obviously it’s Dragon Ball, but two, like what I said at the start of the video, a lot of you guys actually discovered this channel because of the Dragon Block C series. Look, the first title, I was calling this series Dragon Block Xenoverse, but I only used that for the first episode and then went back to the original title. Very fun series. I had an epic time. We unlocked all the transformations. Ken, Super Saiyan, I transformed into Super Saiyan for the very first time. Went through the story mode. We’ve been unlocking all the ultimate attacks. Basically, I just want to say thank you guys for the immense support. We completed the main game and then we went over to the additional add-ons. And shout outs to the original creator by the way, Jin Ryu. I believe their brother Ben, you know, has been updating the game recently. I’m not sure how recent. I’m not sure if Ben has been uh dropping updates for their project. But yeah, shout outs to both creators, developers, very talented for creating such an iconic mod pack for Minecraft. Everybody knows about Dragon Block Z, right? And again, just a super fun time here on the channel. We made it all the way to the God of Destruction, uh, the movies. I don’t know what’s up with this episode. God Goku versus Godzilla. Good times. Good times. Oh, yeah. The Dragon Ball Super arc, tournament power. Look at that. Mastered Ultra Instinct. And yeah, unfortunately, it had to end at some points. We started this series six years ago, first episode, and it lasted three years. The last episode being three years ago, you know what I mean? That that’s that’s just Pika Cinema if you ask me. So, uh that’s why I’m looking forward to this official collaboration. I don’t think it will be anything like the Dragon Block C mod. This is why I somewhat have my expectations high because of this mod pack here. We had everything. All the iconic landmarks, all the boss battles, all the super and ultimate attacks, right? We had everything. Again, big thanks to Jin Ryu and Ben. Again, it’s mainly going to be around DBZ, so don’t expect any of the Dragon Ball Super art. It does look good. I mean, the models, they look great. Super animated stuff like that. The common maha seems like we get to be using as Goku. Uh, but will we be able to fly? Will we be able to visit all the other stuff? You know what I mean? So, I just wanted to talk a little bit about this today. Thank you guys for the immense support as always.
