F1 Manager 24 [Cadillac – modded series]: S01/R06 – Miami 2026

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Hello again. I am Jim Ba and welcome back to F1 Managers 24 created team career here on the PC with Mac. Still in our first season. It’s round six tonight. It is 2026, don’t forget. And we are heading to Miami for another strength free. [Music] [Music] At least I think it’s a spring grand prix. Let’s double check. It is. Yes. And we then have another sprint straight after at Canada for tomorrow’s race. So, let’s uh start getting prepped for this, shall we? How long have we got? We got a week to go until the Grand Prix. Uh let’s take a quick overview of uh the situation here at HQ. Our drivers are actually quite happy at the moment, which is good. are usually grumpy mechanics are actually calm right now, which is good. Everyone else is okay. Uh, let’s check in with the affiliates. Logan’s okay. Jack’s pretty happy. I would love to give them both a run out today, but unfortunately being a sprint weekend, that would just be stupid. So, uh it’s it’s kind of annoying really that we’re at an American Grand Prix and we can’t risk running our American rookies otherwise uh you know it’s going to affect our main drivers for the rest of the weekend. But it is what it is, I suppose. Let’s take a quick look at the email for April. So, Ferrari have a new chassis. Uh and they’re working on another new chassis apparently. So Ferrari all in on the chassis right now and it’s already one of the best on the grid apparently as well. So yeah, they they are really pumping their hours into chassis or pumping their efforts into getting a kickass chassis it would seem. They’re having a really good season. Uh Williams having a bit of a strange season. They’ve had some really strong results. They’ve had some miserable results as well. They are sixth in the constructors at the moment. Uh Science has not been having a good start to the year, but uh we’ll see if he can uh pull things forward. These are the current standings. So, Ferrari top over Mercedes by uh 20 28 points. Yes, 28 points. Uh McLaren are a further six points back in third. Then a little bit of a gap to Red Bull on 76 points. Aston have 52. Williams here, we’re just talking about them. They’re in sixth with 35 points. Uh we are sitting in seventh with 20 points. Uh then it’s Audi with 14. Alpine with seven. H and Red Bull at the bottom. Racing balls have four and H have two. Uh in the driver’s standings, uh Llair is top with 84 points. George, who I was expecting to uh be potentially a bit of a breakaway runaway leader in the early stages, is actually sitting in second. Uh he is eight points back. Uh so we’ve got a potentially really strong fight between these two. And we can’t count out Max. We can never count out Max. He’s he’s he’s a further 10 points back from George. Uh then we’ve got Oscar on 51, Lewis on 47, Lando on 46. Very close between those three. So, we got two kind of groups really. We’ve got the top three and then we got the second three. Uh, and then it’s very very close in the next few drivers as well. Uh, Albon, Anteneelli, Cenoda, and Alonso. All four of them separated by just two points. Valtry sits currently in 11th on 18 points. Nico has 14. And where’s Czecho? There’s Czecho. He has just two points, unfortunately. Uh, hopefully we can get a little bit more out of him. uh the uh as uh the season continues. How you doing Wayne? How you doing Dino? Good to see you guys. How you doing Victor? Hello to everyone else who’s lurking in the chat as well. Uh let’s take a quick Let’s ignore the car report cuz it’s never really all that accurate. Let’s get our training done for this month, shall we? So, let’s go on to cumulative. Uh we are starting the month with a little bit of fatigue, a little bit more than I was expecting, but uh it’s all good. So, let’s start with some heavyduty gym training cuz we always get that nice little kind of reset at the beginning of the month if we don’t have fatigue above 24 25% going into the start of the next month. allows us to uh really pile in some heavy duty training at the start of the month. We have got a Grand Prix coming up, so we do need to be wary of that. It’s going to get me to 10 and then one. It is a sprint weekend, so I want to carry as little fatigue in as possible. So, let’s swap that evening or that afternoon training out for car building. That gets me to 8% which is fine. Uh there we go. And then when we come out of Miami, we’re going to go into our usual. I’m going to start to put a little bit more car building in periodically now just because it is drifting a long way behind everything else. There we go. Uh, let’s go one more day and then take a gander. 1%. That’s not bad. Uh, let’s Let’s do that. Then I’m at 9% there and then that takes me to zero right before the sprint weekend. Then we got another Grand Prix back to back Monaco. Thankfully it’s just a normal Grand Prix and not a sprint weekend. Um but that’s it for training for that week and for that week there as well. And then can I squeeze some training in here? No, I don’t have the time. By the time we get it back down to zero, we’re going straight into Monaco. So, uh, not much training this month, but it’s all nicely, uh, positioned to make sure we are nicely fresh going into each race. We’re pretty much maximizing uh, what we can get away with in that month. There are no like 6%, you know, days. It’s either 8 or 9% the day before. Uh we need to be at zero. So that’s spot on. Absolutely spot on. Let’s confirm those changes. Uh what next? Let me take a quick gander at what’s going on in development. So uh we got our first research uh research project going. It’s our underfloor. Uh we got uh 29 days to go. We just had a bit of cash through from the bank. Before we go ahead and immediately slap another research project on, let’s check with manufacturing. We’ve got a slot available. Uh we’ve got two of the suspensions uh coming. Uh 14 days to finish those. We’ve got one chassis and we’ve still got two more to come. Let’s go back to the uh warehouse. Let’s see what we have in stock. So that’s one of the new chassis. We’re fine on front wings. I think we’re probably fine on rear wings, especially cuz we’re only two weeks away from the new one being ready to start build. And they only take 3 days a pop. Uh side pods, we have plenty of spares, I think. Yes, we do. That’s good. Under floors got a spare. Uh suspension. We are building the new suspensions and we’re building the new chassis, but we’re not building that many because we ran out of cash. So, let’s increase the number of chassis by one. Chassis aren’t cheap. Half a mill each. Suspension’s much much cheaper and quicker to build as well. So, we’ll slap another couple of those on. And that’s half the money gone. So, we’ve got just under a mill, which is unfortunately what we needed to do research project. So, we’ll have to live with that. Uh, was it only three underfloors that we have? Yes, it was. So, let’s go ahead and add another underfloor in there as well because it’s going to be a while till we can build or design a new one given that we’re researching. So, let’s make sure that we don’t start finding ourselves low on stock on the under floors. It’s getting a warning popping up. Just having a look. There we go. Very strange. and dismiss that. [Music] Lovely. Okay, so next thing to do is just advance time. Got uh h of course the obligatory fire in the design center. That’s going to shut everything down for 11 days. Oh my god, that’s annoying. Okay, a little refresher of the standings. We’ve already looked at those. Uh balance circuit in our car isn’t well suited due to its low speed performance. Uh where it’s not well suited due to all of our performance really. We are potentially looking at a wet Grand Prix. Uh there is the forecast. So you can see we’ve got medium rain uh on Saturday which uh is going to be for the sprint and sprint uh uh then main qual be dry on the Friday for uh first practice and then sprint qual. And then we’ve got light rain forecast on the Sunday. So might not get too much wet running in the actual race itself, but the sprint could be a bit of a damp affair. Uh there is the circuit setup. It’s only uh only one medium speed corner on this and then there’s high speed looping through that first sector and then a lot of slow speed stuff and uh well yeah uh looking at our car it’s terrible. So uh I I again this could be quite a rough race. We’ll see how things go but I don’t think we’ll be on for points today. Certainly not in the sprint. And let’s uh set our targets. I still think we’re good enough to make sure that we can get both in the top 18. Let’s head to Miami. Once again, we touch down in Miami as F1 returns to the Magic City. We’re in the state of year round summer. The streets of Miami Gardens will come alive with the roar of racing and the excitement is only just beginning. Don’t forget the schedule this weekend sees the drivers take to the track for an allout sprint race. A good opportunity to clinch some crucial championship points. What will happen this weekend? Only time will tell. [Music] Good evening. Right. Uh so no rookies. We are going to run the hard tires. We’re going to try and run for the whole session if we can. Let’s put a good chunk of fuel in there. Again, we’ve got to be wary we don’t overdo it there. [Music] Put the uh older bits in. [Music] Uh, got to stick with that ERS. And it’s only one session, so we can probably get away with that gearbox even if we are running a long time in the session. [Music] Likewise, just the one session, I think that engine will get through be cooler as well, which will help. uh ERS. Doesn’t matter if that breaks as long as it can go in and then we still have to use this gearbox. No choice in the matter in that regard. So, uh now we need to think about a setup and because it’s a sprint weekend, I’m probably just going to go with one setup on both cars and and then make adjustments from there. So, [Music] going to go with where is my setup page? There it is. So, seven on the front. Oh, excuse me. Uh, we’ll go with a 13 and a half on the rear like so. We’ll go with a 37. And then we’ll whack that all the way up. And then we’ll push this down a little bit to there. And let’s just do the same setup on both cars. Um, when you’ve only got the one session and you’re not planning on stopping, unless it’s a a massive uh difference [Music] in where you need to be, it’s better to just go with one setup, I find, and uh you don’t really have time to fine-tune. So [Music] there we go. So I need to do the run plan over here. Check out again. Take the ERS. And there we go. Let’s uh hit the track. So now we have green light evening power. [Music] It looks as though check I need to go into my settings again because I think once again yes it has. It’s turned DLSS on again. I don’t understand why it keeps doing that. I keep applying settings and then I save and it just ignores it. It’s very strange. Good for me, too. There we go. Radio check when you can. So we have uh Nagel getting a run out today for Red Bull. Victor Martan getting a run out. Mercedes copy. Is that Shurikawa? No, it’s uh it’s Kian Shields getting a run out there. We’ve got uh BA getting a run out for Racing Balls. Cash Bashuka getting a run out for Aston. So, uh some rookies, quite a few rookies actually getting a run out today, which is a little bit of a surprise. They’re still the same. [Music] Is it that working properly? We need to work on the tires. Keep the temperature on the tires. Yeah, it’s been a spate of uh bad news over the last few days. Uh I was dis, you know, surprised and upset to uh to see that Patricia Rattlage passed away. I didn’t even realize she was still alive into her 90s. Um loved watching Keeping Up Appearances when I was uh when I was younger. Uh Jane Goodle passed away recently as well. Sure there’s somebody else that I’m forgetting. Oh wow. Look at the temperatures in that engine. All good for my side here. Got that. That is massively overheating. So, need to go on conserve there. This one’s getting a little warm. And we need to increase lift and coast. Yeah, copy. We have feedback from Valtry. And we need to increase lift and coast by 30%. Oh, it’s a really strong start. That’s excellent. Hopefully, we’ll uh get something similar with Czechov, but I somehow doubt it. 69. Yeah, terrible. And try to keep the temperature on fires. [Music] Update when you can. Yeah, happy. Understood. seems to be the drive shaft. Copy. Ah, damn. Has he actually stopped? He has stopped on track. VSC. VSC. Oh yeah, that engine’s gone in a big way. As you can. [Applause] Ah, it’s a pain. tried to save it. Wasn’t quick enough. So, we need to do major surgery on Perez’s setup. Now, we’ve lost his practice engine as well. He’s going to be very much underprepared going into the race weekend with a lot less running time than he could have need than he needed really. So that’s a shame as well. We’ll just have to make the best of it. In a way, I kind of wish it had been the other way round with the setups that it was Valkyrie that had the worst setup and Perez who was almost bang on because then it would have taken some of the pressure off trying to get uh Perez’s car right and Valkyrie would have a lot more running time to compensate for the lower setup and the higher risk going into the sprint. [Music] I think based on how Perez qualifies and how bad the setup is, we may start him from the pit lane on the sprint just to try and make sure that we do get the setup spot on for the Grand Prix itself. [Music] Speaking of Grand Pris, we had the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend and uh some interesting moments. Not a huge amount of action. Very difficult to overtake for quite a lot of drivers, but we did see some uh wonderful moves. I was particularly impressed with Antonelli over the weekend. Starting to show some real pace in that Mercedes and uh wonderful maneuver. Checker flag has been shown. [Music] Uh wonderful maneuver he pulled on Charlair. And of course, we have the big controversy between the McLaren drivers on lap one and then Pestri not being on the podium for the team’s constructor celebrations. I wonder if that was his choice or if they were in the middle of a debrief with him to try and calm the situation down. Uh it’s it’s all a bit of a mess and it’s all McLaren’s own making at the moment because they’ve tried to be uh um very uh political with their drivers and try and play there and balance things out and asking asking Oscar to pull over for Lando at Monza. Not good. And that’s just it’s it’s led to this situation. Jimmy Cooper. Yes, that’s the other one that I saw in the news. Um, and Liverpool are rubbish right now. Yeah, we’ve gone from scoring lots of late last minute winners to conceding a lot of last minute winners. So, uh, time for time for Slot to earn his uh earn his keep. We’ll turn it around. It’s just how long it will take. Right, let’s uh get prepped for the sprint, shall we? Or the sprint qualifying. [Music] [Music] Welcome everyone. Qualifying for the sprint awaits us and we’re raring to get going. [Music] So, sprint qualifying is going to be dry. Let’s uh start by sticking in the right bits. [Music] Okay. And let’s take a look at the setup while we’re here. So, oh god, everything is just off my This is going to be tricky to try and decipher. Uh, so we need to reduce the front wing. Uh, not the front wing, sorry, the rear wing. So, let’s drop that down first of all. Let’s go with a 13. Uh, and then where do I start everywhere else? I’m going to uh going to up that to a nine, I think. And then we’re going to increase the front wing. That brings that back in a bit. Now, we need to rebalance things over here. And I think the one N is too much. So, let’s bring that to a 28. Now, I’ve got too much here and and not enough here. Let’s push that back up. Let’s bring the front wing down. It’s looking a little bit better. Might be we’re going the wrong way. Might be we should think about uh going to a 46 instead. Uh let’s just see what happens if we up this. Maybe go to an eight on the front wing. Yeah, you see that’s hurting that H. [Music] [Music] Let’s go to a 46. Let’s go there. Take that back up. [Music] trying to find that right balance. Need a little bit more on the front. And that is starting to look a little bit better. Everything’s getting that good sized step. So, we’ll try that. We’ll see how we get away with that. Uh, just small changes needed for Valkyrie. Um, [Music] let’s increase the front wing [Music] and just bring that back that way. I’m wary about that breaking. So, maybe we put that back and make the change here instead. That gives me a little step. We can then drop that back down again. I only need to find 5%. So I need very little steps and then one okay step. So that might be it. We’ll try that. We need to fix his powertrain down to 6% now on that gearbox. Stick with that ERS. That’s fine. Go with that engine. And [Music] I think we are good to go. Just checking see if we’ve got [Music] everything else is fine there. They’re all on those. So yeah, we are ready for qualifying. Evening cats. Have I had any issues with save files? What courses crash when you open the game? Uh, none. Uh when I was doing some uh one of our first couple of races, um I think because I crash uh because I closed down OBS after the stream before I saved uh and closed the game, uh I did get I think I might even have saved the game. I’m not sure, but I did get uh a GPU crash which crashed the game. Um, but I’ve not had any any issues with uh, you know, the game just not loading properly. [Music] [Music] Uh, that’s it’s hard to tell because he’s missing a load of run time, but I’m not sure what that means as far as setup. Very, I think he may have possibly made him slightly worse. We’ll find out when we get back. [Music] You may have a mod conflict if you’ve thrown a lot of mods in. [Music] This is why I like to add my mods one at a time. Do a quick test, make sure everything’s working, and then add the next one in. Do a quick test, and then add the next one in. And that way, I know if there’s a uh something that’s causing a conflict. I can take the the last one back out again and there won’t be a conflict. And if I don’t need that one that I just threw in, I can look at something different. Or if I do need that one, but I don’t need one of the other ones so much, I can then start to go through and see which ones I need to think about taking out to find the conflict. Position. We’re looking good. Go, go, go. All right, and pretty much everybody on track. We’ve got uh a Williams coming out of the pits, but that won’t be an issue for Very, might be an issue for Czecho in the opening sector. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay. 339. We’ve seen it. Paris complaining about traffic, but he didn’t get held up by anyone. [Music] [Applause] Oh, no. Wait, he did. 347. He’s down 8/10 of a second to Valkyrie in the opening sector. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So, Valkyrie down half a second in the first sector to Hamilton who’s setting the pace at the moment and down 3/10 in the middle. But then we kind of expected that 215 the parody is down a 10th in the middle. [Applause] So it’s a 130.4 four nearly 3/10 quicker than Lando currently P4. Voucher might have lost a little bit of time at the end. I think we got overtaken by Borletto which maybe did something there. So Perez again kind of matching bot ass but lost all that time in the opening sector. [Applause] [Music] Gazzley up there in second ahead of Norris. Bit of a scruffy first run. We will have time for another one. Hopefully the tires will be okay. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] George on a quick lap. [Music] Not quick enough in the first [Music] up to second. So Ferrari one two at the moment. [Music] George only good enough for seventh. He lost all that time in the opening sector. Here [Music] comes Limblat. [Music] He’s good enough for 17th. It’s not great. Hulenberg tracking behind one of the Williams drivers. That’s Alban. There’s sights in the background. [Music] Be a nice little tow up to the line here for Hulenberg. Could be a very good final sector. Good lick. Ah, he matches Albon, but again, he’s lost time in that opening sector. So he is currently going out. Alban just through in 16th sights with a mighty final sector. Goes purple and he pops up into ninth place. Knocks his teammate into the drop zone. So everyone’s set to lap time now. Let’s get uh fresh tires. Well, I say fresh tires. Let’s get tires prepped for another run. And let’s have a look at the setups. See how we did. 82. So, we did improve, but we went the wrong way. So, we’re not likely to get through. Have I got time to change the setup? No, I don’t. That is going to be up there. and then we can tweak based on that. There’s not really much I can change at the moment. So, let’s just go ahead and make the changes. See if I can at least get him out on track. Let’s bump that up to an 85. Let’s try that. That’s going to take 4 and 1/2 minutes with 5 minutes and 12 in the session. So, we’ll be able to get him out on a shakedown lap just at the very end. Let’s take a look at Valkyrie. We actually did go backwards slightly. Uh we nailed the braking stability. Let’s try just moving the front wing up to a 75. That won’t break park fairmeling adjustments are fine. [Music] Hopefully we can uh get Valtry a little bit closer to setter perfection. [Music] Everyone’s going to be filing back out again in about a minute. [Music] Norris has gone early. [Music] Uh, Gastley’s popped out as well in the Alpine. There he is. [Applause] Uh Yuki taking a trip out now. I’m waiting for the bulk of traffic to come through though. Uh both Aston are out. And here we go. Everyone’s starting to pile out now. [Music] So out goes Valkyrie. Chance of getting uh getting him through. See Max in the background and Hajar both peeling out of the Red Bull garage. [Music] [Music] Here come the rest of the uh the field as well. [Music] So, Norris on to the start of his flying lap. He’s going to immediately hit traffic in this first sector. [Applause] [Music] He’s going to get held up here quite badly as three cars in front of him. Oh. Oh, that’s a mess. That’s a horrible mess. So, 339, but that’s going to have a knock-on effect into the start of this sector as well. [Music] [Applause] Gap is currently good. Good to go. And here goes Valkyrie. Paris is setup almost complete. He’s in the safety park. [Applause] We should have a nice clean run here. I don’t think we’re close enough to be affected by dirty air. So, this is uh our best chance here with battery. I think it’s going to hit traffic anywhere as well. [Music] [Applause] Norris goes purple in the final sector. He’s [Applause] He’s safe. He’s through. No improvement for Valkyrie. Get Check out on a shakeddown lap. [Music] Looks like tires are just not fired up. Look. 88 now. 87 on the uh tires. [Applause] We might have to start taking manual control of our drivers on their warm-up laps just to make sure that the tires do warm up properly. [Applause] [Music] Antonelli’s top Valkyrie. I think he improved, but he didn’t get through. Did he actually improve? [Applause] Yes, he did by nearly 210. It just wasn’t enough unfortunately. Yeah, Paris is looking well again. It’s tricky cuz he’s already done a a flying run, so he’s already got slightly higher confidence, but I think we have improved his setup. Question is how much? I mean, I think he was here before and now we pushed him up to here on the default. [Applause] [Music] Okay, so Hulenberg has just squeaked through. Yuki is the only other car. No, that’s it. Cenod’s on a lap. Peros is obviously not going to set a lap. So it will be Yuki Cenoda, Liam Lawson, Alex Albon, Valtry, Czecho, and Arvid who will be eliminated in Q1. And there we go. Mercedes top with a one two. And again, a mighty final sector for Kimmy there. Pretty close between those top three. Pretty close to the top four. All separated by a tenth of a second. Let’s see if that carries on. We are out. Let’s see who sticks it on pole for the sprint. It’s Max. Max takes pole from Hamilton. Sights up in third. That is the result that he needs to give him a really good chance of scoring points in the sprint. Then the two Mercedes are Russell and Kimmy. Llair down in sixth, Oscar is seventh, Gazzley eighth, Hajan Knight, Colinto 10th. So both Alpines are in the top 10. Uh Norris did not make it out of Q2 eliminated there in 12th behind Ollie Bman. Uh then it’s Alonso from Hulenberg, Boraltto, and Aon. And then we have our drivers here as well. So no penalties to affect the qualifying order. That is the sprint qualifying. There may be penalties for the main Grand Prix. Let’s get prepped and ready for the sprint. [Music] [Music] [Music] Well, it’s a different format this weekend with a sprint set to spice up today’s events. [Music] And of course, the big incentive here is getting a few extra points on the board with the top finishers in the sprint set to add to their championship tally. But who will be victorious in the Miami Sprint? We’ll soon find out. [Music] So, the heavens have opened and it is uh over 3 mil on track. Is it going to go all the way up to full wets? I don’t think so. Uh let’s take a look at the weather. [Music] Yeah, it’s actually going to dip down and then climb back up again. So, it will be in all the way through. There we go. We did get a slight improvement for Valtry. So, we know we’re close. We know we’re close. Fixing the toe will probably fix the cornering enough. Uh we will check that in uh main qualifying. We can make adjustments before then. Uh we’re up to 92%. Oh, wow. Look, it’s still not right there. It’s a 1 nine. How is that not bang on? It’s slap bang in the middle of the little window there. Wow, that is tight. The tiniest little change is what’s needed just there to fix that. But a good recovery from where we were. And again, we’ll make some adjustments after the sprint. We are starting from the pits and we’re going to go straight out. So, let’s hit the track for the Miami Sprint. And here in Miami, it’s time for the sprint. [Music] And it’s lights out. And away we go. So, it’s a good start from Max holds position. Sites holds third. Russell and Anteneelli swapping places on the uh off the line and then back again into turn uh one [Applause] [Music] and we have a yellow flag. Someone wide. There we go. That was Aon drifting wide and having to let some cars through as he rejoins. Let’s see what happened there. Now we’re watching Estan trying to go side by side at that almost and they’ll find themselves in quite a few places lost as a result doing that. So 18 for Valkyrie and let me know track conditions. Okay, if there’s anything left in the tank, let’s go for it. And tires are good to push. We need to push Jo because there isn’t so much of that usual concertin on this circuit. Charge up. So, if we want him to catch up to the pack as Valtry is trying to get past Yuki, let’s give him some battery out of uh the tight section here. Yep. Science has passed Hamilton. Science up to second. [Applause] And there we go. Perez is onto the back of the pack now. Let’s get Very really pushing on the overtakes. Got the pace. You can do this. Do the same for Czecho as well. Copy, mate. [Music] Car is nicely fired up. Vtory is looking a little threatening towards Lawson here. [Music] Is now getting a little bit too hot. Let’s cool those down. Let’s just concentrate getting your tire temps down. Yeah, copy. And try to cool down the tires as much as possible. Is he going to have a look at the inside here? He is. Can’t quite get alongside. Nearly stuck his front wing in. Thought better of it at the last minute there. [Music] Let’s [Music] [Applause] ease down on the battery now as well. [Applause] [Music] Then we need lift and coast. Copy. Just get an overtake for Czecho. That will give him a nice little boost in in his confidence and could be the difference maker between being stuck at the back for a long time and starting to carve his way through the field. He’s just not there yet. On copy. So, we’ll save and wait for an opportunity. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Very nearly forgot to uh get ready for the stream tonight. I was uh engrossed in uh rolling line. [Music] I’ve been uh you know, wanting to pick up a coffee for a while. But it was it’s on sale at the moment. It was I think it might come off sale this weekend, but I picked up a copy yesterday uh yesterday morning/ Saturday evening and uh I spent so long yesterday just playing that trying to figure out the controls and and trying out different maps and going through the uh the workshop for some uh for some engine mods. and rolling stock mods. And then uh decided to take a little project on. Started to build my own little layout. Give that a try. Got that working nicely. And now I’ve started working on converting a really nice mod layout that I’ve uh that I found into four track mainline. And it’s I just lost all track of time while I was playing that. [Applause] But that is the train game that I have always wanted because it gives me the ability to build a model layout exactly how I want it and then run the trains the way I want to run them. And that’s kind of the the experience I’ve always wanted with games like uh Railway Empire, but haven’t really been able to do. I mean, I love just sitting and watching the trains running, but you can’t really do that in in for too long in Railway Empire or else things start to go wrong. This is just all about just sitting and watching the trains or or controlling them without any stress of having to make certain deliveries or keeping an eye on whether a town is not earning enough cash or anything like that. It’s It’s perfect. Oh, here we go. We got an opportunity building for Jacko now. Let’s see if we can punch him through. More energy available. Copy me. Ringetic. [Music] [Music] From tire point of view, we don’t think lift and coast is necessary. Boat push [Music] and start putting some pressure on Lawson without Valkyrie as well. 15 laps to go in our uh second sprint of the season. Science still keeping Hamilton back comfortably so at the moment as well. Max is off into the distance. So, he’s looking to get his first win of the season, albeit it’ll be a sprint rather than a Grand Prix. [Music] [Music] And there we go. We finally get Czecho through. Gets the move done on a will try and fight back, but we have the inside line through the rest of this sequence now. Doing a good job. And hopefully we can jump straight past Limblat in the process. Oh no. Maybe not. Have we damaged the engine with that? Single yellow. Copy it. I don’t think so. Oh, we’ve had a crash. God damn it, Czecho. [Applause] [Music] At least we kept a behind us. Got away without any damage to the car as well. There’s no uh structural damage, no arrow damage. We kind of lit the tires up a little bit with that spin, [Music] but we kept the position. Very cheeky way to do it, but we’ll take it. Let’s turn back to Valkyrie. Uh, I’m well. Thank you for asking, Meta. And charge button on. Charge button on. [Music] Another yellow flag. Don’t be Czech again. You’re currently P7. [Music] Yeah, I think it was. Oh my god, Czecho. Right, we’re down at turn five. Oh, we’ve seen a few. That’s what a did on lap one. Perhaps a little laps in concentration, maybe. [Music] And that’s it. That’s Czecho’s race pretty much done and dusted. So, uh, it’s a sprint. We’re not going to do much. So, I’m just going to uh retire his car. Save some of the wear. So, box now. Box speed confirm. We retire the car. He’s obviously not in the right head space for the race or for the rest of the sprint. Just asking for him to do something stupid and put it in the wall and smash it up. So, we’ll get him out the way off the track out of palm. Would be nice if I could get Valkyrie up another couple of places again. Just not there. Charge on. Copy. Get those tires temperatures down. Copy. We need to do more lifting coast. Please increase by 10%. Oh yeah, copy. Lawson’s too close to Borletto. There we go. He’s slipp back a little bit clear. We’re uh now in a position to maybe have a look. Got a really nice slipstream. We’re close. Charge on. He’s thinking about it. [Music] Let’s harry him. Mode push. Copy. It’s really haring. We’re okay to push a bit harder if you can. Suggest that you can reduce the amount of lift in coast at turn one. Again, losing a bit of time coming out that section. Car is not good. I retired him. He uh had a big spin. We were lucky he didn’t damage the car cuz he did clip the wall and then he went wide. His confidence was shot. So I just decided why take the risk of him doing something stupid and retiring it. So I manually retired him instead. [Music] Already [Music] lost a complete power train from him uh smashing it up [Applause] at Australia. I don’t want to lose another one. Autolet slipped back again and that’s left Morrison nicely on him. We might have a run on the back of Lawson here. Not close enough. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Charge on. Copy. Really cool those tires down. We’re going to lose a little bit of ground here by doing this. But maybe if Lawson gets past Portalto, we’ll have better luck getting past Portalto ourselves. And it gives us a chance to refill the battery. [Music] Fastest lap for car sights. Track is cooling right down. I hate cooling down. It’s drying up a bit. It’s not going to go to in I don’t think uh sorry to DRS. It’s going to stay damp, but yeah, the water level is going to stay pretty low for the rest of the Grand Pri out. So, temperatures in the tires are going to be more important than uh they were in the opening laps. [Music] [Applause] [Music] You could save less. [Music] Charge on. Wary of the fact that Cenoda is closing in on us. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Yeah, Lawson now looking to try and line up for Toiletto who has slipped further away from his teammate. [Music] Just pick up the pace. [Music] New fashion lap for Max. Now size is looking really good for second place here. Now 3 seconds clear of Hamilton. Been very little in the in the way of overtaking as you kind of expected. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Let’s keep an eye on Rosson and his efforts to move up. [Music] is now starting to creep back towards Lawson now that we got the space a little bit more. Tire temps still coming down which is good. Batteries in a healthy spot. A little bit of spare fuel, but the engine temps quite high at the moment, so I don’t really want to push the engine just yet. I’m going to try and let that cool down a bit more as well without taking on too much extra fuel. Just drifting away again. [Music] So nine laps to go. Max very comfortable. 5 seconds clear of SC who is 3 seconds clear of Hamilton. Then the two Mercedes. Oscar in sixth fromlair. Gazzley currently holding the final points position. It’s a bit of a train forming behind Pastri. Llair, Gazzley, Hajar, Norris, all within half a second or so of the car in front. This focuses on long racing. There we go. Tie attempts back where they need to be and Lawson has dropped away now. We’re going to have another go at him. We’re currently 17. So we’ve got Cenoda behind gap behind 1.1. Let’s give him everything we’ve got. Tires required. You can save less cover. So let’s go. Mode push. There we go. He’s lining him up. He’s going to take the inside. Beautiful move. And that is comprehensively through. Let’s immediately cool down the tires in the engine again. Just cool your tires. Yep. Same for battery. And we need to increase lift and coast by now we can see what happened. Now this was Valkyrie Botas. Can they squeeze by? Lovely little dive up the inside for Valtry there. [Music] Charge on. has got him back into maximum peak confidence as well. Borletto is 4 seconds behind his teammate. So once we get onto the back of him, should be a pretty straightforward overtake on him as well. No worries, mate. And there we go. We’ve dropped Lawson already. [Music] It is the right helmet. For a second, I thought it was the wrong helmet, but it is the right one. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] We don’t think we need any lift and co [Music] might Need to use the battery to get close here. There’s progress to be made. Without slipstream, we are slow on the straight. Let’s have push. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] All that for only 3/10 in the final sector. [Applause] [Music] Do your best. We have Gats Lawson by another second. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Start to push the tires a little bit more again. Now increase pace. It would be a good time to do it. Almost out of battery, so we can’t do this for very long. Portalto is probably as high as we’re going to get in the sprint. I don’t think we’ll have enough time to try and go after anybody else after that. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] That’s it for the battery. Remember, long way to go in this race. Almost in that 1 second window for the slipstream. [Music] [Applause] [Music] There we go. So, now we can really start to think about [Music] [Applause] getting ready for a move. We need more battery if we want to make it clean and comprehensive, but I still might be able to get him in the braking zone. Thought about tires still good. [Music] Drop the rain on the uh lens of the camera there. [Applause] Max just taking a nice Sunday drive at the m Saturday drive really keeping it very comfortable. Up to 6 and 12 seconds over science now. And you can see we are getting that slip string to pull us up to the back of uh Gabby. Just cool down the tires as much as you can. Not a lot of opportunity without the DRS to recharge the battery and and not get dropped. So, uh not sure where we’re going to be able to do that. [Music] [Music] Okay, let’s get on it. Still everything to play for. save just a couple of percent here in the opening sector. And track water level about to go back up again. That’ll help with the tire temperatures. [Music] Charge on. [Music] And we have lost some ground. Portalto might have upped his pace slightly. Quicker than Hulenberg. [Music] [Music] a long way to go. Technically, he’s probably in better shape than we are because we’ve spent a long time within a second or so of the car in front, which has affected our tire attempts. He’s been in clear air for quite some time and I think he has upped his pace look as he’s now just 3 seconds behind. He’s gained a second on Hulenberg. Is that Hulenberg dropping away or him closing up or a combination of both? There’s only one dry line, so it’s quite tricky. It’s a bit too dry for you. DRS is enabled. Damn it. And we’re not close enough to do anything about it. [Music] It’s not going to be around for very long. I did not expect that at all. Our radar very much lying to us here. Maybe that’s why Bortal uped his pace cuz he knew that DRS was coming. [Music] Traffic really is drying up, isn’t it? So, we might see some uh movement here. Might see some overtakes now that DRS is active. [Music] Norris is trying to get onto the back of Gazzley. Hajar is trying to stay on the back of Norris. Colipinto’s there as well. It’s all really close. Somebody’s about to lose the train. And it’s Hajar. Colopinto will have a uh a chance here. [Music] I think we’re going to have to settle for 16. [Music] There are three laps remaining, including this one. Okay, let’s just see what happens if we do up the tire pace a little bit. See if that will allow us to close up pace in turn 12 a little bit. [Music] Oh, now Colin is the one who’s going to be at risk, I think. [Music] Yeah, Bman’s really pushing. Oh, the and the tracks dried up. That’s why it got wet again. That’s why the DRS wasn’t active. [Music] So, we missed the opportunity for a DRS overtake. So, now we have to hang on to whatever battery we’ve got because we’re going to need it not just to get past Portal, but then to try and hold him back on the the last lap if we do get past him. Very tempted to just go all out for the last two laps. Might need to pick up the pace a little bit. Let’s go for it. Wow. That little uh flash of uh dry there has allowed Max to open the gap up to 9 and 1/2 seconds. Two more laps. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think we’ve got a decent chance of a sort of a run at 12th or 13th with Valkyrie in the race depending on what happens with the weather. God knows what Car is going to be able to do. Get back to doing lifting co now. All good. He’s just had a miserable weekend so far. [Music] No worries, buddy. So, we got just enough battery to try and throw it up the inside [Applause] somewhere on the next lap before we get to this area of the track. But I don’t think we’re going to be close enough. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] We need to be about half a second closer to have any real chance here. You’re starting the last time lap. [Music] No more lifting coast. Copy. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Yeah, we’re not close enough. Not unless we’re getting almighty drive here. [Music] Let’s focus on raceing up a little bit, but it’s not enough. It’s not enough. [Music] Evening army. We need to do more lifting coast. Please increase by 10%. Max wins. Science. 11 and 1/2 seconds clear. The finish line to win the sprint. Maxappen with an amazing display here. Maximum points is the best result they could have hoped for. Dutchman finally gets his first win of the season, although it’s a sprint rather than a Grand Prix. Is that uh indicative of what will happen in the actual race itself, though? [Applause] Do your best. [Music] There we go. We are going to have to settle for 60. If we’ve been able to stay within a second with the DRS activated, we could have hadition ready. Copy. Okay, that’s the checkered flag. [Applause] What happened for Perez? Uh, I decided to retire him uh just to save him from potentially doing something stupid and smashing the car up. He was having a bit of a bad race. Well, bad sprint. And Sergio Perez ends up outside the points in today’s sprint. They’ll be disappointed to have not even finished the sprint here today. Confirmation of the sprint results. Max takes the win from Carlos Science who got past Hamilton uh on the uh opening lap I think it was. Uh and then no real change anywhere else. You see uh it was as it was for the Williams drivers. Oscar did manage to get ahead of Charllair for the extra point. Gazzley hung on to eighth. Norris made a little bit of progress but then just ran uh ran a ground trying to get past Gazzley. Hajar down a place as was Colinto and Bman. Uh so Norris the big gain or the big winner there. We gained four places without after a an interesting start but as you can see you know AON also one of the bigger losers with that lock up uh say lock up that running wide on opening lap dropping him down multiple places. He did pull uh one back or two back as Perez uh pulled out at the end. But uh again, not a good race for Lindblad. He is struggling this year and uh Helmet Marco may uh give him the chop at the end of the season when his contract comes up for renewal. Let’s get prepped and ready for qualifying for the Grand Prix. [Music] [Music] [Music] There’s tension in the air today, so it must be time for qualifying. The Miami International Auto Room has some lovely long straights, but a driver still needs to have total trust in their car setup to get a fast qualifying lap. Turns 14 and 15 in particular are the ones that catch the drivers out in qualifying. And here’s a driver there’s been quite a focus on recently, Karun Very Bosas. Neither of the team’s drivers have brought home many points so far, so they’ll be looking to change that as soon as possible to prove their worth on track. But don’t go anywhere, folks. It’s nearly time for qualifying. [Music] There we go. Use the intermission to go and get another drink and break out the emergency sausage rolls cuz I’m a bit peckish. Uh let’s see. It’s just under 1 mil. So DRS will be active, but it will be into territory. Uh, let’s make those tweaks to the setter. So, I bring this up by two clicks. That might do it. And then uh we need to push that to a one N. And then bring that back like that. And then bring that up to there. And that should hopefully do it for Czecho. [Music] Let’s fuel them for two flying laps [Music] and let’s send them out and uh take a a quick look at what the weather’s going to do. It’s going to get worse. So, we absolutely want to be out straight away, as does everybody else. All right, that was Valkyrie sneaking out. Czecho out behind him. So, we’re not first on track, but uh we’re out early on. [Music] Who is actually ahead of us? Let’s have a look. Russell, and Gastly. So, that’s good. Whole field is piling out. Look. [Music] And there’s the last man out, Alex. [Music] [Music] And that’s about as close to the line as we can get for Czecho given his lack of running in uh practice. So I think we have got him up to about 100% on the setup. Battery’s looking nicely placed in the high confidence bar. Like to think we’ve got him uh sorted as well now. [Music] Gap is good. Okay. Low push and you are good to go. Entire temperatures are good. Track is clear. Mistake with someone is clear. It will be mode push for last corner. ared with a lock. We’re looking at turn 11 and the car fails to respond. Just unable to control the car by that point. It’s one way to get some heat into your tires. He’s on his outlap, so not the end of the world. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Let’s compare oursel to Gazzley down 3/10. She closer to Norris at the moment. Okay, so the Audi’s just a little bit quicker than us in that first sector. I think pretty much everyone’s going to be quicker than us in the first sector. Probably the middle sector as well. I don’t think we’re going to qualify very well at all here. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Max looking mighty and this first run could decide who takes pole. [Music] It’s advantage Russell at the moment. We are going to go for another lap and see if we can get a little bit of improvement. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Max top a 10th and a half. Can’t see anybody beating that on this run. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] And there we go. The only driver slower than us, Ollie Bman. Bit of a surprise. [Music] In fact, now that DRS has been turned off, we probably aren’t going to improve. We’ll give it a go. You never know. Might squeeze a little bit more out of it now that we’ve got both drivers feeling a bit happier after this first run, this first lap. [Music] You’re good for mode push. Good to go when you want. And in front we have a train of gas. [Music] Start off for last corner. So a clear track for both cars. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Will it be enough? [Music] I just want to see if I can get at least one of my cars through, but given how far off the pace we are, I’m not convinced we can make it happen. The lack of the long DRS straits is really going to hurt us as well. It is a small improvement for Valkyrie. Not for Czecho. [Music] Track still getting wetter as well. [Music] There we go. 228. It’s just not quick enough. [Music] [Music] We are seeing a lot of cars coming out for another run. No improvement for me. No improvement for Czecho. We get some more confidence in them. But unless the track dries back up again, and it’s not looking like it’s going to happen, then uh yeah, we’re out already. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] So reporting a lot of speed time up cuz it looks as though it’s that’s it for us. Bit of a damp squib of qualifying. Track continues to get worse. Nobody’s going to be improving. [Music] That is it. That’s the running order. So, Borcelletto, Colipinto, Limblad, and Bman will join us in elimination. And still the track’s getting worse. What a disappointing qualifying. [Music] All right, let’s see. Stuck it on pole. Kimmy. Wow. Mercedes blocking out the front row. This could be uh a dream situation for them. Uh so Kimmy on top by nearly 3/10en of a second from George. Thenlair in third, Gassley up in fourth place. Cenoda fifth, Hamilton sixth, Lando, excuse me, Lando in seventh. For Snap in eighth, Albon up in ninth, uh Lawson 10th. So it was Pastri out in 11th for the Saints, Alonso, Hajar down in 14th place, then Aron and Hulenberg bringing up the bottom of that little group there. Interesting. [Music] We’re almost ready to go here in Florida as we look forward to 57 laps of F1 racing. The Miami Grand Prix arrived onto the calendar in 2022 with much fanfare. And F1 history is still very much being written here. Drivers have to take chances around the street circuit and hope those chances turn into victory. Spectacle is the name of the game here in Miami with a stadium at the heart of this track. With long straights and sbens, not unlike Suzuka’s Sector 1, proper ERS management is sure to give drivers an edge towards victory. It’s race day and final preparations are underway. [Music] One thing we could have done, and I didn’t realize until it was too late, was we could have checked the setups, made some tweaks, and sent them back out if we needed to. Both drivers are just that little bit away. So, that wasn’t enough there. I’m happy with that. We got to 97 with Czecho as well. Again, look at that. It’s just not quite there. I’m happy. I’m happy with that. We’re only going to break it if we try and mess with it now. Uh it looks like it is going to be a fully wet race, but oh, look at this period here. This potentially could go dry. We know our uh weather center is not the best. Don’t think we’re using it for sponsors this time round, but even so, it’s not amazing. Yeah, we’ll definitely have to keep an eye on temps. We certainly do not want to be pushing the tires because they’re going to be overheating anyway. There may possibly be just dry enough for [Music] a little stint on the softs. And we’ll have to keep an eye on the weather. Uh, we’re going to take four laps of fuel out to help keep engine temps under control. Fact, I’m going to go more than that. Let’s go seven laps of fuel out. Let’s really go for it in terms of fuel saving. We’re going to gain a lot back as the uh race progresses just by not pushing. Uh, and then if the engine get temps get too high, which they probably will do, we can uh go into fuel save to cool them down and deal with our fuel shortage without too much of an issue there. We’re going to go hard off the line and then very quickly cool things down. Just want to see if we can maybe steal a place into turn one. Go through that opening uh first sector. And we are done. The uh Grand Prix is ready to go. Head to the grid for the start of the Miami Grand Prix. Final checks are being carried out by the teams and it won’t be long until we get this race underway. [Music] The RB driver has got a lot of people talking. I think they could have been higher up than 20th, but let’s see if they can move forward from here. And it’ll be exciting to see just what will happen here today. [Music] And this is it, the Miami Grand Prix. [Music] It’s lights out and away we go. Who’s going to come out on top into turn one? George gets ahead of Kimmy. [Music] [Music] It’s 19th for Valtry. Perez in 20th. [Music] I think that’s a position game for Perez. It is. That’s good. He’s got a nice early overtake. Let’s uh [Music] go on the attack with both drivers. Copy. Keep battling away. [Music] Let me know what you think on track conditions. [Music] Late move from Bman. Gets in past Limblad but couldn’t get in past Perez. Track water coming down a little bit. [Music] [Applause] We’re going to have to start calming things down in a second. Let’s do it now. Your tires. Down 13 kilos of fuel. That’s a lot. Charge on. Copy. And try to cool down the tires as much as possible. Copy. charge on. Okay. So, overtaking in these conditions very tricky around this circuit. Going to have to be patient and just pick up the scraps where we can here and there. [Music] As long as we finish with both cars in the top 18, I’ll consider that, you know, a job well done. Given how Perez was performing in the sprint, it’s not a given. [Music] Foundry does seem to be the safer pair of hands for us so far this season. And this is Bman having a look. [Applause] Have we shut the door? Yes, we have. I thought for a second B might have another lunge up the inside, but we shut that door. [Music] [Music] [Applause] the CLA trying to find his way past Gasley. [Music] [Music] Russell has sprinted away. No real surprise there. Question is how well will Antonelli be able to stick close to him? Will he be able to keep pulling away from Gazzley? [Music] I think G’s up a place, isn’t he? Yes, he is. [Music] [Music] [Applause] Track still getting a little bit drier. [Music] Yeah, just level one accuracy, but it’s not reduced further by sponsor involvement. So, that’s good. And Bman does jump us now with the H. The gap opens up for them. He threatened that on lap one. This time he had a clear run. And I’m not going to panic. Not going to overreact. Going to keep working on uh controlling our temperatures. Perez might even get a slipstream to retake the place and he has. So Bman pulled out into clean air to try and make a move on Valtry and it backfired horrendously for him. Next go in front. [Music] Tie temps a little high. Engine temps starting to creep up a little bit, but they’re okay for now. Again, this is running in that dirty air. Let’s just uh look at cooling the tires down a little bit. Just concentrate getting your tire temps down. We are going to be stopping. We’re not going to try and go to the end. I don’t think I just don’t think we would have any pace at the end. It’ll be a sitting duck. Oh, problem for Alonzo. And as far as we can tell, they’ve got a fault with the car. [Music] [Music] No info on what that fault is cuz uh we got Crofty instead of uh Alonso. [Music] And we need some lift off. Copy. And we need to increase lift and coast by 30%. Copy. [Music] Something always happens when I take a big bite of a soft drum. Anthony sets the new fastest lap at 141.3. He’s uh almost 3 seconds behind his teammate, but he’s starting to gap Gastly. Oh, we have a yellow flag. [Music] There’s someone running a little wide somewhere. Fair behind us. But this is what happened. That’s Oh no, that’s not quite what they would have wanted. At least he managed to hold position. Sign of things to come. That takes a little bit of pressure off the back of Perez. [Applause] [Music] And I think uh Colinto is now probably ripe for an overtake attempt here. From tire point of view, we don’t think lifting coast is necessary. Copy. We must do lift and coast every lap or else we may not finish the race. Copy. [Music] [Applause] And we get a run. Norris with a fault as well. But it looks like they’re carrying some kind of Oh, shut up, Crofty. Uh George responding to Kiwi set his own fastest lap at 140.7. Track continues to get that a little bit drier. [Music] So, we need to push [Applause] and you can use all the boost bar. Drop it. [Music] Yeah, Colopinto has now dropped off the back just of the Audi’s thanks to that little bit of extra pressure from Very. Can we convert that? It’s so bad through this sector, though. [Music] It makes it hard to uh stay close enough to have a lunge. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Again, just not close enough. [Music] We’ll keep uh piling on the pressure. Let’s actually give him a little bit more tire as well. We don’t need to worry about management on these tires. Just pushing. You say we don’t need to worry about them, but we are actually burning through them quicker than the prediction. And Antonelli with another fastest lap. These two trading at the moment every lap. [Music] Come on. Come on Valkyrie. At some point you’re going to have a speed advantage. He’s going to be out of battery somewhere. Oh, a little jin from Colinto. We were thinking of pulling out into the inside. Shot that down very quickly. [Music] And again, look, we’re just losing so much time through sector one that by the time we get around here, we’ve dropped several ten of a second. Even with some extra tire pace, can’t keep up with them. I’m going to back off. Go back to uh copy. Doing a little bit of saving your tires. Let’s ease off on Czecho as well. Get back to you. See, we’re already, you know, burning the tires up a little bit more on baseline levels. Copy. [Music] It’s not an issue yet, but I don’t want them to get too low too soon. I do think we are going to have to go for an undercut though if we want to make any real progress which means stopping very early. It is going to get dry. Look, question is how dry are we going to see? Cars stopping for softs. How long is it going to stay dry? [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] And did we take out too much fuel at the start? Quite possibly. [Music] [Music] going to be jumping back on rolling line uh as soon as the stream is done. And uh I will pop it up on a separate stream if anyone is curious. I’ve always wanted to own a really big model railway and I just either never had the money or the space or combination of both. At the moment it’s both. Um, but when I’ve had the money, I haven’t had the space. And when I haven’t when I’ve had the space, I haven’t had the money. And now I don’t have either. And this allows me to kind of live that dream in a virtual world. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] closing back in on Colinto again. [Music] Cool your tires. Copy. [Music] It’s the uncertainty at the moment of not knowing what’s going to happen here. Otherwise, I would have probably pushed hard and gone for an early undercut. But I I don’t know what’s going to happen here. [Music] Ah, Bman gets us. [Music] We will first play that half. Continue like this. Let’s try and punch back. We can use yours. Okay. Seeing some patches of sun appearing on the track. [Music] Uh just keeping an eye on Czecho not having a look. No lift off needed. You are doing a good job. And we are close to Colinto again. Let’s try and re reapply that pressure and also keep that gap to be bareman. Okay. To push harder through six and seven if you can. suggest that you can reduce the amount of lift in post. We have an opportunity here. There we go. Get the inside line. We don’t have the slipstream though. Ah, damn it. [Applause] Har’s not close. Let’s have a look. [Music] Right. The best thing for us here would be Colopinto pulling into clean air to try and overtake Hulenberg and allow us to slip stream our way straight past him. It’s not going to happen, though. [Applause] [Music] track has gone a little damper again, but we know that uh dry period is threatening, looming. [Music] He’s one and a half seconds behind. [Music] It’s going to stay dry for a while, it’s looking like, but how dry is the question. Dry enough or soft? Debatable. [Music] Dry enough to trigger DRS? Absolutely. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] setting personal best sectors here with Very. Okay. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Uh, we got to fault for someone. pad you up, [Music] but the car’s definitely not happy. And again, we’re not going to find out what it is. And we’re out of battery now. Charge on. Copy. And charge button on. Charge button on. We’re just stuck in dirt. Yeah. Can’t make any progress. [Music] [Applause] [Music] And again, as soon as we stop pushing, all of a sudden, battery gets very close, but not close enough to do anything. AON gets past Haja, and the Mercedes have got a comfortable grip at the front. 3 seconds apart still. Gazzley’s now 4 seconds behind. Llair has backed off. Hamilton still behind Cenoda. Norris and Vstafen still as they were. Albon still there. Science up into 10th though. So Williams getting both cars into the top 10. And uh Max is going to start coming under a bit of pressure soon by the look of it. Turning [Music] Dry spell fast approaching now. I’m not convinced it will stay dry long enough for us to consider swapping onto uh a set of uh soft tires. [Music] Oh, there we go. Valkyrie is really starting to put some pressure on Franco Colinto [Music] again. We just lose ground through the end of sector one. And Colinto is close enough to maybe get a tow from Hawkenberg. My engine temps are starting to climb again. We need to do more lifting coast. Please increase by 10%. coming and we need to increase coast. Okay. Uh is the uh Miami Grand Prix? Yes, we’ve already had the sprint. Now we’re on the actual race itself. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Looks like a little mistake for Colinto in the braking area there. That’s dropped him away from Vulenberg and given Valtry another chance to get really close again. Will you have a look? No DRS is about to switch on. [Music] You are good to go. Mode push. Copy that. So deployed. Deployed. Yeah. Confir. And let me know the track condition. There we go. DRS is active. DRS is enabled and we will be the first car on track to actually get it. Problem for Past Street. Why didn’t we get it? We were close enough. No one got it apparently. Ah, maybe they moved the activation point. We just missed it. Who are my drivers? Uh yeah, Valtry and uh and Checker. We’re in the year 2026. So this is uh an accurate representation of what the grid would be. Barring liveries, I’ve been a little bit creative. [Music] And again, no rear wing opening up. Why isn’t the rear wing opening up for DRS? Should be active. Charge on. Copy. Charge on. Copy. [Music] I think we might have found ourselves a bug. [Applause] [Music] Yeah, we definitely range is questionable. [Applause] [Music] Ah, there we go. Wings are open. DRS on you. [Music] It’s too bad there’s no air for 25. Yeah, I mean the modders are doing an amazing job to uh keep the game going. It’s just a shame we have to rely on the modders who at some point will just say enough’s enough and to stop [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 67. All right, I’m going to pause for a second as we have a little lunge. Yeah, it’s not going to be dry enough to make that switch. It’s dry enough right now, but it’s going to get wet again too quickly. [Music] Foundry gets the move up the inside. Will he be able to hold it? That’s the question. We’ve given Colinto the DRS now. All good. We are P8 now. The car in front of me is Niko. And we do hold him off. Lovely. So, up to 17th uh sorry, 18th place for Valtry. Chance to try and move forward a bit now. [Music] H. No, I haven’t bothered. Oh, yellow flag. Is there someone running wide in front? Hadar, I think. Yes, Kaja making a mistake. Let’s have a look at that. It’s the Red Bull driver. Oh, but they need to be watching those track limits and they might want to take a look at the floor. This is out of Boralto. That gets Hulenberg right up behind him and also us up behind Hulenberg. [Music] Uh, do I have F125? No, I don’t. Um, I’ve got fatigue with that series now. Um, I loved 22, then didn’t enjoy 23 so much. 24. Never really got into and, you know, had no real interest in getting uh 25, but I am going to go for an early stop here. Let’s start to use up these tires. We are going to go for that undercut. Okay. If there’s anything left in the tank, let’s go for it and try to increase pushing status. [Music] And Lawson’s already gone for an undercut. The Kiwi having the same idea as us. Let’s see. Is he actually going to gamble for soft tires? It’ll be a massive gamble. He is I think. Oh, actually I don’t know. That’s the inside rim. No, it has gone for another set in the right call. [Music] Let’s get after these cars in front. We’ll box Perez first. We’re not close enough to get away with stopping them both on the same lap. Box this lap. Box. Yeah, copy. Box this lap for interest. [Music] Box this lap. Okay. Box. Box. We’re going to box. Be nice if we can get past Colinto here. Bman’s already jumped him. He’s having a look. Didn’t have the slipstream though, but Colinto did, so we couldn’t get alongside in the braking zone. [Music] Might get him this time though into turn into the final turns here. Oh no, wait. We’re stopping, aren’t we? So if he does get alongside, he’ll just back out anyway. See Lawson isn’t that far behind. Oh, damn it. Colopinto’s boxing. All right. Can we do a better job in the pits? We’re earlier in the pit lane, I think. So, we might Oh, no. We’re just behind them. So, yeah, we’re probably not going to get the jump hit. [Music] Oh, it’s a bad stop. It’s a bad stop. Damn it. will help it. Sorry about that and track will be clear. Push. Yes, copy. So, those tires going to the end of the Grand Prix now. Try to take care of these tires. Hey, copy. Got to him. 1.4 four. [Music] Be nice to get a move on Hulk for the extra confidence we do before we stop. We must do lifted coast every lap or else we may not finish the race. Oh, had you very slow. Max is in. No lift off needed. You are doing a good job. Max going for another cut as well here. Charge on. Coming in. [Music] Decent stop. Oh, and look at this. Everyone in front of us is stopping. God damn it. So, Haj will get out of the pits ahead of us. We might get out in front of Hulenberg, though. 2.5 decent. Through goes Hajar. Hulenberg has to wait for us. So we have jumped a place. There goes Colinto. Perez is out in front of Hulenberg. So Perez has jumped Hulkenberg as well. Nice. So we did get a partial undercut. car behind Perez. He’s 1.3 seconds behind. Max gets uh out behind Okon, but immediately manages to get past him with DRS. It is still active. [Applause] Hulenberg is going to put pressure on Czecho. I need to use his battery. I don’t think we’re going to hold Hulenberg back. Oh, maybe. Maybe. Yes, we did. We shut him down. Very nice. Hamilton and sights in [Music] the moment. We are good. Hamilton’s going to be comfortably clear. Alonso in now. So, everyone’s starting to box early as the uh track gets ready to go back to proper inter conditions. [Music] We’re going to lose the DRS very soon. Everyone’s starting to box. If we’re going to get any kind of positions on the undercut, this is where it’s going to happen. Tight ups are good. It’s going to be tight. It’s going to be very tight. There you can see Bman. He’s coming out. Was it Aon? I’m not sure it’s AON. We jumped both of the harsh drivers. Well, I think we’re ahead of Bman, but we jumped Aon. Limblad will come out behind us. That was always going to be the case anyway. But there’s a chance now that we can get past Portalto. Max has already pushed up and caught past him. [Music] None of the race leaders have stopped yet. [Music] It’s Hulenberg having another look at Czecho. And again, Czecho can hold him back. That’s good for Czecho’s confidence, but not good for his batteries. He’s pretty much gone. button on. Can I get DRS on Colinto? Nope, it’s gone. Charge. Ah, damn it. But we’ve made uh a couple of places. Here we go. This is the key position for us. Forto in. [Music] And there you see uh Albon and Pastry exiting to rejoin. Evening Jordan. Hajar sets a new fastest lap. A 1396. That’s probably going to stay the fastest lap now. Oh, we couldn’t quite get him, but we certainly closed the gap right up. How did Qually going? Uh, badly. Very badly. Car does not like this circuit. [Music] So, Limblad will uh will be dropped behind us. Borletto puts the moves on Colipinto there. [Music] [Music] Hey, I’m not a big fan of the Miami circuit. I love Kota. Kota is amazing. And I kind of like Vegas. But I’m not not a massive fan of this circuit here. [Music] So now it’s going to be all about protecting our tires as Alonsozo actually sets the new fastest lap, a 1396. [Applause] You’re Canadian, you can’t stand Montreal. And Montreal is an amazing circuit. [Music] [Music] Limblad still has his box. He’s holding up P Street. [Music] Looks like Oscar’s finally going to get through up the insides. Yeah, easy as you like. [Music] Uh, whatever engine issue was having has got worse. Vibrating. That’s just down to where rather than a specific fault. [Music] It looks like it’s going to be a one two for Mercedes at this point. They’ve been uh pretty close to each other and steadily pulling away from Jazzley as the race has progressed. No one’s been able to really make any, you know, emphatic moves up and down the field. [Music] And none of the RA uh the race leaders have stopped yet. What’s Hamilton’s pace like now that he’s in clear air? on 1397 last lap. See what he does at the end of this lap coming. He’s uh definitely going to jump Cenoda and uh probably going to jump as well. [Music] And we need to increase lift and coast by 30%. Copy. Then take care of the tires in high speed. Yeah, copy. Which tracks in particular, Jordan? We need to do the full management on this set. This may dramatically change how I think of you. Big lift off. Yeah. [Music] [Music] [Applause] Do I only stream on YouTube? Um, consistently? Yes. Every now and again I jump onto Twitch, but not very often. [Music] I am going to throw um rolling line onto Twitch [Music] after this rather than uh staying on YouTube. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] And there we go. Llair is in. So is Hamilton going to get past him? might not actually. I think the player is just just going to stay ahead. [Music] See, I’ve been playing Rolling Line over the weekend. Is it good? It depends on what type of game you’re experience you’re looking for. If you are a model railroader or you’ve you’ve had a fascination with having a model railway then absolutely it’s it’s a dream come true kind of game. Uh if you’re actually looking for a game with game play less so it’s it’s more about building and constructing the layout and then just watching the trains run like a real model railway. [Music] So, Limblad is out of the pits and a long way back now cuz he went so long. That gets us where we need to be in terms of position for our sponsors. 17th and 18th. Gazzley’s in. Yeah, Suzuka. When you’re talking about Asian tracks, Suzuka, China, they’re good tracks. If you’re talking about uh going into uh the tracks and the arrow functions as well, less so. Not a massive fan of Lail. It works well for bikes. Doesn’t work quite so well for cars. Not really a huge fan of Abu Dhabi. It’s better than it was, but it’s still kind of tame. Bahrain is a decent track, but it’s old now and it’s not particularly exciting track. That’s one I wouldn’t mind seeing rotating. [Music] And Jeda is has his moments, but again, it’s one of those tracks that, you know, I could quite happily live without. [Music] [Applause] But there, oh dear, that’s not what they need right now. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] I like Singapore cuz it generally throws up an interesting race. The last couple have been pretty bland. It’s definitely better for the removal of the um double chicane in the final sector. Not sure about the addition of DRS in the uh final sector. [Music] I’m talking for the same reason, Jordan. I’m talking as a spectator. [Applause] [Music] So Russell gets the undercut and Kimmy, not that he really needed it, but that if Antonelli had got the undercut, that could have made things interesting at the front. [Music] Perez coming under pressure from Hawkerberg again. [Music] Biggest problem with Formula 1 at the moment though is just the size of the cars. They’re too big. Tracks that used to be really great for racing have become processional because there’s just no room to get past cuz the cars are just too damn big. [Music] You stick a modern F1 car next to a car from 20 years ago side by side, the size difference is actually pretty staggering how much bigger they are now. When you go back to the ‘9s, [Music] it’s even more pronounced. [Music] [Music] You can push. You could save less. 26 will be smaller, but not massively. There still big cars. [Music] When you say parody, I think you mean par. [Music] I don’t I don’t I don’t mind there being, you know, a team that is strong. You want to have You don’t want to have a spec series. You want to have teams at different levels because then there’s movement, you know, within the teams. Some teams will have their hot period and they’ll be very very strong for a period of time and then they’ll cool and other teams will start to come to the four and you want that. When you got a spec series where everything’s equal, it’s dull. I think [Music] You want to see those innovations that teams bring that suddenly start to catapult them up. You know, those ideas they had that nobody else thought of or very few teams thought of. But, you know, give them a huge edge temporarily until the other teams, you know, figure out how to do it themselves and start, you know, closing that gap down again. Just look at the double DR uh the double diffuser in 2009. Gave Brawn a monstrous advantage. They weren’t the only thing to do it. Toyota did it as well and I think there was a third team. Can’t remember which one. Might have been Sala. Um but you know uh it was deemed legal and then everybody else scrambled to create their own double diffuser. But uh you know without that the ability for that situation to happen Brawn would never have won the world championship. We would never have had that dream scenario. [Music] [Music] Well, the budget cap stops, you know, a large amount of being able to outspend opport, you know, other teams. It’s not like in the Oh, yellow flag. What do we got? Is that a McLaren single yellow? No, no, it’s Colinto. Yeah, copy. Just saw him dropping down the order here at turn 10. Oh, he was ahead of us as well, so that’s given us an extra place. Just lock up there. That’s a big lock up straight into the runoff zone. He’s still there. Now he’s going. It’s not like the uh the late 80s when McLaren would have an engine for every single session. They would have engines for practice. They would have a quali engine and then a race engine and then it would be a brand new race engine the next weekend and a brand new quali engine. You know, it’s it’s a different it’s a whole different animal now. Finances are a lot more balanced than they than they have been at any previous point. [Music] [Music] All right, we’re past the halfway point. Still need to find 6 kilos of fuel, which is why I’m still fuel saving. Engine temps are back now in a very healthy situation. Tire temps are looking decent. Again, we don’t know what the tire situation’s like as Antonyelli finally makes his stop. He should be uh comfortably clear of Gazzley, but he’s going to end up being a long way behind Russell, I think. Cenoda still hasn’t stopped yet. [Music] I don’t believe the cost caps changing with the new regs. No. [Music] There’ll be a new Concord agreement which will change prize money payout. And of course, we’re going to have a new team in there as well, [Music] which will dilute the uh prize money a little bit. [Music] Oh, wow. We’re close to another period of DRS. But very brief, very brief little potential window here. Yuki still hasn’t stopped. He’s going to drop a lot of places here. He’s going to drop behind. Hamilton’s closing in on the back of his teammate just in time for that potential DRS activation. Might get him even before that even happens. But uh assuming you need about 20 seconds, then yes, the load’s going to drop way down the order. [Music] [Music] And this is going to be win number three for George Russell, assuming nothing changes. So, it’s the new fastest lap of 1387. Shows just how slow Snow is going right now. Is this the lap he boxes? No, he’s staying out again. So, I mean, he could theoretically punch his way through a few places, but we’ve seen how hard it is to overtake. And even with better tires, I think it will be a struggle for him. [Music] Unless the rest of the field I mean he may even be trying to go to the end. We don’t know how badly his tires are worn. He might try and go without stopping. Oscar with the new fastest lap now. 138.7. [Music] Hulenberg is still stuck behind Perez trying to find a way through. We have a position leeway at the moment as well. We need 17th and 18th for the sponsors with 16th and 17th. Oh, now Hamilton potentially has an issue as he’s side by side with So, both drivers reporting big vibrations. Looks like Ferrari are trying to rebrand themselves as the Beach Boys. Oh, that’s a big fault. That’s a serious fault. Is it temporary? Is it permanent? And that could really hurt Ferrari’s chances because Max is closing in. There he is. Another fastest lap for George. 13869. And I think we might just bypass potentially that little Yeah, no DRS after all. [Music] We don’t think we need any lift and coast. Just up our pace just a little bit. No lift off needed. See if we can start to close back down on Baltto. Copy. [Music] actually got full batteries as well. So, let’s burn those mode push. Copy that. And more energy available. Okay, copy. Yeah. And Hamilton’s look gone from trying to get past his teammates now desperately trying to keep Vstappen behind. Max has got the run. just couldn’t quite get enough of the car alongside. [Music] Cenoda is still out there. I’m starting to think he might be trying to go to the engineer. [Music] Lap 34. 24 laps to go. [Music] Our tires are in good shape. [Music] Now Norris is right there as well. All over the back of the stappen. Oh, damn it. Wrong button. There we go. Where’s Norris? Oh, he’s side by side. [Music] There we go. I keep pushing the wrong buttons. So, Norris suddenly appearing. We have picked up the pace a little bit. Antonelli with the new fastest lap. 1384 starting to close in on his teammate a little bit. It’s Limblad with a fault. He’s not going to be doing much this race anyway. 16 and 12 seconds behind Colinto at the back of the grid. Here comes Max for another look. And we have a yellow flag [Music] [Applause] and we have single yellow. Copy. And there we go. It’s It’s a crash for Franco Colinto. Straight on the left. So, let’s follow the action going into turn 12. That’s not a sector one yellow. Oh, and that’s a pretty big impact there. Well, following a crash like that, it’ll be important now to ensure that any debris is cleared from the scene. And Max is through up into sixth place. Ferrari’s afternoon is going to get a little worse from here cuz I don’t think will be able to hold him back that much. We need to reduce K1 usage. Drop it. Although Llair is looking to try and get past Yuki here. Colipinto’s in the pits. No doubt that’s for a change of tires, maybe even a change of front wing. Can’t do anything about that big hole in his rear wing though. And Norris gets past Hamilton. It’s just a new set of tires. Yeah, Norris is through. Is through on Cenoda. And this is where Yuki’s going to start going backwards. He should have stopped. He should have stopped a lot earlier. I wonder if we might see other teams make a second stop. I am out of battery again. Charge on. At least I am with Valkyrie. haven’t really made any impression on Bortalto who himself has been pushing up to the back of the Lawson. Oh, that’s not good. They’ll need to retire the car. Something’s just gone terminal on that car. I wonder if it’s a gearbox that’s just finally given up for Charlair, having just made the move. Expect to see him pull into the pits if he can make it around. He might not even make it around depending on what the bault is. [Music] Going to keep an eye on the rear of the car just in case we suddenly see a huge plume of smoke start to belch out. [Applause] [Music] Charge button on. If it’s his battery, he can keep going. But I don’t think it hits I don’t think it’s the battery. I think it’s the gearbox. You can see Cenod just closing up. Poor acceleration out of that Ferrari. I think it’s the same issue that Hamilton’s got. He’s down in eighth place now and losing a lot of ground. Could we see a double retirement from Ferrari today? [Music] [Applause] Watch how quickly Max pushes up now that he’s passed the not. [Music] [Applause] [Music] That’s going to be all she wrote for Shalair. He’ll pull into the pits. And I think that is a uh Oh, there is Yuki finally boxing. [Applause] But that is a retirement for the Monagas driver. One car stop outside of the of the track. How far down is he going to park? This is a bad stop as well. They don’t finish the race. Oh yeah, copy. 21 laps left down in the pits. Oh, that’s a slow one. Cod’s going to pop out just in front of us. Wow, he has dropped a long way, but his tires are going to be the best on the grid. [Music] Hon with a fault now. Everyone’s car starting to fall to bits. [Music] which is making the fact that we’re running better engines all the more disheartening in terms of our pace. Portalto has caught and passed Lawson. So Lawson is our next target cuz we’re not going to catch snow. [Music] He’ll go flying through here in a second. At least we have a little bit of breathing room behind us now. [Music] Science gets past Hamilton. He’s really starting to struggle now. I think he has gearbox issues as well. It’s possible he might not finish the race, but if he does, he’s going to be slow anyway. So, he might not even finish in the points. Still a way to go and he’s lapping a couple of seconds a lap slower than the cars behind him. It’s a 142 for Lawson as well. That’s uh 2 seconds slower than us. So, Senota’s going to go flying past any moment now. And then we’re going to start to close in pretty quickly. See Yuki just trying to just get his nose alongside Lawson defending well. He’s defending very well. It’s going to be frustrating the hell out of Yuki here. And there’s Valkyrie. And there’s Jeze. [Music] So I said the target, you know, uh could be on for, you know, 12th, 13th. I think that is uh very much an achievable target. 13th Actually, no, not 13. 14th is a very achievable target, but I thought we might get there with Valkyrie. Uh, we’re going to get to 14th and 15th by the look of it. And if Hamilton retires, then that’s another position game for us. We’re going to have to do it with retirements. We don’t have the pace to get 12, 13th, 14th without him. [Music] desperately need those new wings. And of course, the design center’s just been shut down for 11 days cuz it’s on fire. Something’s never changed. [Music] There we go. Lawson now about to come under pressure from Valkyrie. He’s taken the gap down to 2.8 seconds. Can I get a point? Highly unlikely. [Music] 18 laps to go and we’re just not showing anywhere near the kind of pace we need for the top 10. I still need to do more fuel saving. [Music] Get back to doing lift and coast now. Copy. And we need to increase lift and coast. Copy. [Music] [Music] Now targets for the race with the sponsors are 18th or higher for both drivers which is the highest we can go for. But um I did say during the sprint based on how we were doing in the sprint, BF might have a chance of like 12th, 13th or 14th in the Grand Prix. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Lost one second in front of you. There’s progress to be made. [Music] like to do this without burning the battery if possible. [Applause] Axon Norris fighting over fourth. Both Williams have got past Hamilton. He’s down to eighth and he’s only 5 seconds away from the bottom of the point. [Applause] [Music] 143 last lap. Yeah, this car’s really really struggling tires. Let’s get looking. Oh, look at that. Easy. Lovely. Straight through on the inside. Lawson gets a bad exit as well, so he’s already a second behind and he’s set up beautifully for Paris to get right on him on the next uh Big overtaking opportunity. [Music] [Music] Raise his lung. [Music] entire face update when you can. Yeah, tires are good. [Music] And there we go. finally finished the sausage rolls. Sun starting to peek its way through the clouds. Wenberg behind gap to him 1.8. Perez goes up the inside. Lovely move. It’s 14th and 15th and Lawson into the pits. So continue like this. Are we going to see pit stops from anybody else? front gap to him 2.2. [Music] Are we going to see two stops from drivers? New set of enters or has he simply just been pushing the tires too hard trying to minimize the the loss of pace that the car’s bringing? Who knows? But he’s close to being lapped. Russell has just started lap uh something. Not uh what lap 43 I think. [Music] Yuki’s got himself back up onto uh the back of Gabriel Boralto. It’s a long way from the P4 that he was running in earlier. [Music] Let’s see how easily he can try and sighthe his way through the field. I mean, he’s got a car that’s been running well. He’s got brand, you know, say not brand new, but much much better tires. Theoretically, he should cruise on through, but who knows? Oh, yeah. Another sneak attack at points if other cars make a second stop. If they don’t, it’s not happening. [Music] There’s still fuel saving and we’re lapping slower than Porto. [Applause] Perez coming under pressure from Vulenberg again. [Music] The only car ahead of us that’s likely to have a a major fault causing a retirement is Hamilton. He’s now just dropped down to 10th as Pastry’s got him. [Music] Another lap down for George. He’s now on lap 44. [Music] He’s already lacked Colinto and Limblad. [Music] Still got plenty of tire left. I am thinking about upping the tire pace a little. And push. See what happens to the temperatures after a couple of laps like this. [Music] a reflection. I did probably take too much fuel out, but wasn’t expecting it to actually go to uh as dry as it did. [Music] [Music] On the plus side though, the fuel saving has been able to keep our engine temps under control. They did start spiking a little bit in the early stages of this Grand Prix and then when we started saving brought them back down to a controllable level and now they’re perfect. So this is putting uh less strain on our engines [Music] [Music] and the kind of pace that we’re showing now is what I was expecting in the opening Grand Prix. So, the fact that we picked up 20 points so far this season is a huge shock and very much against where I expected us to be and and where we actually are. But we do seem to have a better chance of actually scoring points when it’s dry compared to when it’s wet. Our drivers don’t fare amazingly well in interchangeable conditions. [Music] And if we can stay in DRS and protect the tires a little bit, we can generally tend to go a stop less than our competition. Why islair out? Uh, I think gearbox. We’ll be able to have a look at the end. Colipins developing an issue. That might just be uh excess wear rather than an actual out and out fault or a bit of both. But you know, he’s he’s nowhere now after that crash. [Music] [Music] Not far from being able to actually stop fuel saving altogether. Tires are getting a bit too hot. Let’s turn those down again. Get those tires temperatures down. And we have another yellow flag. H safety car or a VC right now would be very interesting. It’s a crash rock on who is behind us. So that doesn’t help us. [Applause] And that’s what Colinto did. Punched the hole in his wing. And that’s exactly what’s happened to Aron. So his race is toast. [Music] [Music] Snow pressing on Hamilton. The Hajar has got past him. So Hamilton out of the points. [Music] Senota has got the pace to get back into at least 10th. [Music] Don’t know if he’s going to have enough time to get any higher than that, but he will get back into the points, but it it’ll be a disappointing result considering how well he was running in the first stint. He just stayed out so long. He’s praying for other cars to box now, I think. and he might not even have been able to challenge for that point had it not been for uhlair’s retirement. [Music] Here is Cenoda lining up a move on Hamilton. He’s going to go to the inside and get him under braking. Yeah, not even close. [Music] Bletto might get Hamilton at this point. [Music] We are 11 seconds give or take behind Hamilton. Gaining at about a second a lap, second and a half a lap. It’s doable. We might yet get Hamilton at least with Valtry. I don’t think Perez will. [Music] into the final 10 laps for the leaders. George is 6 and 1/2 seconds ahead of Anton really brought that gap down cuz he was uh 10 11 seconds behind at one point, but he’s still too far back, I think, to really challenge. Currently holds the fastest lap, but there’s no bonus point for that. Gazzley back in third is pretty secure uh in that. He’s not going to catch Antony. He’s not going to be caught by Versappen. Who would have my top two drivers be this season? And no, you didn’t ask me that last uh last week. Uh I would have to say Haja and then it’s a tossup between Pastri and Bortalto. [Music] Pastri has come on leaps and bounds this season compared to the last although he has struggled a a little in the last couple of weekends. Uh, Hajar has just been phenomenal this season after, you know, that awful DNF at Australia where he didn’t even, you know, complete the warm-up lap. You know, his season has just come on in leaps and bounds. He is easily rookie of the year. Borletto’s had a really strong if unspectacular season in that uh second Audi second salva as No. [Music] In terms of the rookies this season, it’s easily Hajar as the top rookie. I would say Borletto just above them and then Antonyelli close behind in fourth. Um Dan’s season never really stood a chance, you know. I’m surprised he actually made the first six Grand Prix because the writing was on the wall and as soon as Colinto went in the car, that was it. He knew he was never going to get back in the car regardless of what happened with Colinto. [Music] Yeah, Borletto is uh too quick for us. He’s uh got past Hamilton. So now it’s can we close down Hamilton in the remaining laps? And we are almost done with fuel saving. In fact, I’m going to stop fuel saving with Czecho. keep it going just a little bit longer with Very. Yep. Do I think we’ll see a driver shakeup? Um not a major one. Um McLaren have got their two locked up for another at least another season. Uh and Norris I think is contracted until the end of uh 2026. Pastri is contracted to at least the end of 2027 if not 2028. Max is contracted to Red Bull till 2028 I believe. Uh Science could maybe move on. His contract runs out at the end of next season as far as I know. Don’t know about Albon. I think he’s there for another couple of seasons yet at least. [Music] I think we’re going to see some change at Red Bull next year. I would not be at all surprised if Yuki goes somewhere else. [Music] [Applause] Science has been a bit of a suitcase. You’ll have to explain what you mean by that. [Music] Do I think Lewis will get bought out? No. Um I think he’ll be around Ferrari next season. Uh beyond that, he may just call it quits. Suitcases and he moves around a lot. Well, there aren’t many drivers who tend to stay at the same team. It’s pretty rare these days. Norris is still early in his career. [Music] Max uh has always been in the Rebel Academy, but he’s moved teams kind of. Um Hamilton has moved uh to, you know, his third team. Russell was at Williams, now he’s at Mercedes. He could well move on to another team at some point in the future. Uh, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Antonelli continues to improve if he doesn’t get um Diggy from Ferrari at some point in the future. SH is on his second team. Um, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if SH eventually loses patience with Ferrari if they can’t sort the car out and move. Valkyrie was at Williams, then he went to Mercedes, now he’s going to be at Cadillac. It’ll be uh he was at Salva as well. So that’ll be his fourth team next season. Perez started at Mercedes then went to I think Salva. Um then Force India, I’m not sure about the Salva, but he definitely went to Force India, which technically became a separate team with Racing Point as Colinto gets lapped and then obviously went to Red Bull. Now he’s going to be at Cadillac as well. So that’s another new team. Hulenberg’s been across up and down the grid all over the place. Um, Aon, uh, he’s only on his second team, I think. Or did he have a No, he had spell Port India, didn’t he? [Music] I think [Music] Now, Lono has been to what? He started at uh Menardi then went to uh Beniton. No, sorry, Rena. They were Renault by that point. Uh went to Renault. [Music] Oh, they might still have been Benon. I think they I think they were Renault by that point. Not sure. No, no, they didn’t change till Renault until I think the late 2000s. So, they would have been Bennington. Uh then McLaren, then to Renault, uh then to Ferrari, then back to McLaren. Now to Aston. So technically he’s on his seventh team. [Music] [Applause] I’ve forgot to stop fuel saving. There we go. We’ve actually got fuel spare for go at the end of this. Six laps left. We are closing the gap. No more lift and coast. Another fault for Colinto whose race is already you ruin point of view. We don’t think lifting co is necessary. Copy pick up the pace. Should see the back of Lewis’s car pretty soon. Still lapping a second and a half quicker. We’ve got plenty of time for Valkyrie to get through. And I think we’ve got enough time for Czecho as well. And we need to increase pushing status. So we are potentially on for 13th and 14th. [Music] Alban’s on his third team at the moment. [Music] [Applause] [Music] It’s almost unheard of for a driver to go their entire career in just one team. I mean, you look at, you know, some of the the the true greats [Music] and they’ve all had multiple teams in varying degrees. Hamilton, as I say, is, you know, had uh that great early success with McLaren, but they dropped in performance dramatically. So he went to Mercedes and he spent years at Mercedes, racked up multiple championships there, but now he’s at Ferrari. So he’s on his third team. [Music] Even Vstappen has had a team change even though he’s been owned, you know, he’s worked for the same company as such. It’s second team five. There we go. That is a retirement for Colinto. Did he actually pull in the pits? Yes, he did. He should have done that a long time ago. Uh Michael Schemacker, you know, broke in with Jordan in 1991 for one Grand Prix, then went to Benitin, and then won two world championships with Beniton, went to Ferrari, and then won five more championships for Ferrari, and then came back and had a a cameo season for Mercedes. [Applause] Even Senna had multiple teams. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay, let’s go. You got to start somewhere and it’s extremely unlikely that the team that gives you its debut is going to, you know, be a top team that’s going to stay a top team for the rest of your career. So even if you, you know, stay with a team that gave you your debut and you’re very successful, at some point they’re going to fall in performance and someone’s going to come and knocking with a big money contract and you’re going to uh move on somewhere else like we saw Hamilton debut from for McLaren, won his world championship in the second season, missed it by a point in his debut rookie season which would have been an amazing achievement. Four laps to go at the end of this one. Cover it. [Music] [Applause] A long way to go. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] All right, we have a run. Not quite close enough here, but we should get him into the braking at the hair pin. [Music] suggest that you can reduce the amount of lift in post at turn one. Yeah, copy. And try to cool down the tires as much as possible. Yeah, copy. Here we go. This is the run. Hamilton. 4. Come on. Pull out. Pull out. Pull out. Pow. Long way to go in this race. Couldn’t quite get him. [Music] This time we should get him into turn one. Two laps to go at the end of this one. Copy. There we go. Job done. As much as you can. And there’s Perez. doing a great job. Your P30. [Music] Charge on. Copy. [Applause] [Music] So now we have to do that all over again. But with this time we won’t have the battery. We are close enough to have that lunge though. Hamilton in front. He gets up the inside and that should be move completed. All right, let’s concentrate. And there we go. Move is completed. Good job. Well done. Okay, in front is so 13th and 14th. That’s a pretty respectable result considering a lack of pace [Music] in qualifying. Car definitely performs better in race pace than one lap pace. There’s no question of that because we can be more strategic with tires. [Music] Two more laps. Yeah, copy. [Applause] And there we go. Hamilton already dropped down to 15th and a second and a half behind Perez now. And Ferrari is going to go the the distance, but only just, it would seem. Next guy in front. There is Russell just a few corners behind us on track on his final lap. We’ll stay on the lead lap. We’re not going to get lapped unless we have a major mistake somewhere. [Music] At least I think that’s the case. Antelli is about 4 and 1/2 seconds behind. He’s not going to be close enough. He’s about to lap Nico Hulenberg. There he is whizzing past the Audi. Russell coming up to lap Lewis Hamilton. And you have to imagine he’ll take some not insignificant amount of pleasure from that. [Music] Okay, in front of you. There we go. Hamilton pulling over under blue flags. We are just going to stay on the lead lap. I think another lap and we might well have been uh blue flagged, but we’ll be okay, [Music] but it will be win number three this season for George Russell. Starting the last lap. Understood. [Applause] Russell wins it. First over the line. And coming in first, it’s George Russell. What an achievement. Sometimes you take the incredible skill of these drivers for granted, but not today. Antonelli crosses the line to make it a one-two for Mercedes. Glorious result for them. Gazzley is going to hang on for third and he’s going to be 20 seconds clear of Vistappen in the end. What a great result for Alpine. [Music] [Applause] And here comes Max home in fourth. Norris will take fifth. It’ll be sixth and seventh in the end for Williams thanks in no small part to Ferrari falling apart with technical issues up the wazu. Yuki Cenoda has not been able to get past Hajar. Hajar is going to hang on for that final point. So, uh, a disaster for Yuki, who should could and should have scored a lot more points here today. Here we go. Hajar home in 10th place to take that final point. Perez having a cheeky little look at Valkyrie in the closing stages here. Oh [ __ ] fuel. And we need lift and coast. Okay. Come on. Make it. Make it. Make it. Make it. Make it. Make it. [Applause] Yes. Never in doubt. Okay. Check flag. There we go. 13th and 14th. And all things considered, that’s a really strong result uh for our car. Uh cuz overtaking was almost impossible for us. Uh and that was mainly down to us getting that undercut on a couple of cars earlier on. I have to say George Russell looked excellent out there. Incredible. That was a really welldeserved win. They got their race strategy absolutely spot on. We may see these kind of scenes a lot in Formula 1, but it’s easy to forget just what it means to the whole team. And right now, it’s the British driver who proudly takes his place on the podium. That takes him up to three wins this season. They prove just so hard to beat. [Music] And after a hot and sweaty Miami Grand Prix, I think this is as good a time as any to cool off. [Music] Well, Karu, how do you think they’ll be feeling in the team garage at the end of that? Well, it was a bit of a mixed bag here. Some things went their way, but others didn’t. I think their main target now will be finding some consistency for sure. [Music] And with that, our weekend in Miami now draws to a close. For the next round, the teams are traveling to the circuit Gil Vner for the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. So, confirmation of the final result. It is win number three, as I said, for George. Antonelli in second makes it a clean sweep for Mercedes today. Gazzley in third. Great result for Alpine, especially considering what happened to Colinto. In fourth place is Max Vstappen uh trying to close the gap at the front of the championship, but uh George I think is about to go top quite comfortably. Uh Lando in fifth place, sixth for Science, seventh for Albon, eighth for Alono, ninth for Oscar Pashri. Hajar just hanging on for the final point in 10th. Uh then it was Yuki Cenodo from Bortalto, Botas from Perez. Both drivers making some good gains there. Hamilton down nine places and just about managing to finish in the end in 15th. Uh two very very sick Ferraris. One of them having to end its race early, very early. Uh Nico Hawenberg in 16th ahead of Liam Lawson, 17th 18th for Ollie Bman, 19th for Limblad, 20th for Aron, and then the two retirements of Colinto and Charlair. Let’s take a look then at the drivers standings. It is George now top and by 20 points over Charlair. Max is now up to third, level on points with Charlair, butlair has that win. Max still waiting for his first race win this season. Has picked up a win in a sprint this weekend though. Then it’s a 30point gap back to Lando uh and Oscar. The two McLaren drivers tied on 56 points a piece. Uh both have a win but Lando with more podiums. Then it is uh Lewis in sixth down a place into sixth place. 53 points just three points behind the two McLarens. So pretty close there. And Anteneelli rockets up to the back of that group as well with his 22 points this weekend. Uh strong weekend for him. Second in the race, second in the sprint. Uh so 22 points earned. Albon in eighth place on 34 points ahead of Fernando Alonso on 30 and Cenoda no points. Uh disappointing weekend for him in all things considered. Uh but after Cenoda comes Pierre Gazzley up three places now on to 23 points. uh one ahead of Carlo Saints who’s also up three places. He’s on 22. Uh Botas drops down another two places to 13th. He’s still on 18 points. Hulkenberg still on 14. Hajar picks up a point to climb up to 11. Then it’s Lawson with four. Okon and Perez with two a piece. And then the non-scorers, we have uh Ollie Bman in 19th from Bortalto, Colopinto and Arvid Lindblad. into the constructor standings. Mercedes go top with 155 points, 16 points clear of Ferrari. 52 points for Mercedes gained across the sprint and the Grand Prix. Just eight for Ferrari. Uh so uh huge transfer of points there. Uh McLaren in third picked up 15. They’re now on 112. They’re 27 behind Ferrari and 15 points clear of Red Bull in fourth place who outscored them by six this weekend. Aston have 56 points as do Williams. The two teams tied on 56 points a piece. Uh Aston in fifth ahead of Williams on uh position count back there. Then it is uh that’s all thanks to Yuki’s podium at Suzuka. Alpine up two places into seventh with 23 points. Uh most of them scored by Pierre Gazzley and then uh Cadillac, well all of them scored I think by Pierre Gazzley. Uh Cadillac down to eighth place, still on 20. Audi still have uh 14 in ninth. Then it’s uh Racing Balls with four and Hus with two. Let’s take a look at the pit stops. So George also got the quickest stop uh today. So just winning everything. Uh Racing Balls in second. Look at the difference in the stops as well. A 2.2. That’s blisteringly quick uh in this early stages of the campaign. Uh Liam Lawson gets the second quickest stop. Then it’s Har with the third stop. Ferrari pick up some points with McLaren. Mercedes again. Racing balls again. Then Aston, Red Bull, and Cadillac. So, uh points split across across quite a number of teams today. We managed to sneak in for a point. Uh that’s very nice. So the standings are like this. McLaren stay top with 128. Racing balls would close the gap. They’re now 23 points back in second on 105. Red Bull have 75 as do Mercedes and Ferrari. Three teams tied for 75 points. Uh then it is Alpine with 61. Aston with 28. H up three places with 18 now just ahead of Audi who also have 18 points. And you have 15 points for Cadillac in 10th. Williams down in 11th. Just eight points for them. But everybody has scored some points so far this season. Our quickest stops, a 2.5 for Valkyrie. They gave us that one point. Not a good stop for Perez. Uh bit of a delay there. Lost about a second and a half on his stop. Could have been good enough. You know, we’ve seen Perez’s stops being quicker than Valtry is. And if we did lose 1.4, four. That means we could have been on for a 2.3 second stop. We could have had a lot of points with Perez if that had gone well. Oh well, never mind. E. Both drivers do achieve their sponsor targets. 472,000 and change a piece. So, we end up with just under 946,000 to add to the bank balance. And let’s head back to HQ, take a look at the condition of the cars, and start prepping for Canada. [Music] [Music] We have that spare underlo. Very nice. Uh we have our money from the sponsors as well. I forgot about that. That is a very nice $6 million in the bank. No compulsory activities this month, but let’s see what we do uh in the next sponsor period. Maybe we’ll get some extra cash there. That’s proper commenting commentating. Uh I do try. Uh will you see me tomorrow? Yes, I will be around tomorrow. We got a little bit more tidying up to do before we uh end the stream tonight. A little bit more sort of housekeeping and stuff to do, especially some money to spend. Already burning a hole in my pocket. Uh and then I’ll be uh back up on Twitch uh shortly afterwards uh to uh carry on tinkering with my train set. Uh so yes, we now have that extra underfloor. Good, good, good. Let’s see what car bits failed. Uh, side pods on both cars. Oo. And a suspension. Uh, we are about to equip a new suspension. So, I’m not overly concerned about that. Uh, what’s my twitch? Uh, it’s uh it’s a nervous tick. You’ll see my eye making these weird little blinky movements. Uh, it’s a good question actually. I think it’s uh jimbob_jbpg, but let me just double check. It’s on my channel. Uh let me uh just find the link. [Music] [Music] Uh twitch.tv/jimbob_jbppg. Uh, let me copy that. Uh, there we go. And I’ll paste that into the chats. [Music] There you go. There is my Twitch link. Uh, let’s get back to the game. [Music] Or not. I ran out of memory and the game crashed. Let me quickly reload that. I have to skip through the opener because uh even though the music is uh not licensed, the video is and that will cause issues. [Music] Right. So, where were we? Under floor sponsor money. There we go. should never have clicked that little box that pops up. Uh so, oh, we’ve got Yeah, we got faults on both cars. That’s fine. Yeah, we knew about that. Uh got some other issues that are about to fail though on this car. Taking a look. The front wing’s going to fail soon. We still got spares, so I’m not worried about that. do not have a replacement MK 2, but we do have the first of the uh the new Mark III suspensions. So, we will fit that instead to Very. And then uh we should have the second one for uh Czecho in time for Canada. So, that shouldn’t be an issue there. Uh might even have both chassis available as well. And then uh nothing to fix now on this car cuz we’ve already changed the side pods. No spare side pods now though. So we’re going to have to build some of those. Uh everything here is grayed out even though I’ve got engineers to go because the whole facility is on fire again. Uh let’s uh make a couple of spares. There we go. So that’s a million gone. Uh let’s take a look at facilities. Uh, that’s tempting, but I don’t think it’s worth it. Um, team hub would be nice to upgrade. That would be nice to upgrade. It’ be nice to get another upgrade on the hospitality. Let’s finally get the final upgrade on the helipad. That leaves me with $6 million. That’s going to cost 2.2. 2. That’s going to cost 4.9. I’m going to go that way. I’m going to stick another upgrade on the race sim because we’re we’re fighting an uphill battle just trying to keep um Valkyrie and Czecho from, you know, dropping in performance. But we need to make sure that our American rookies can develop as quickly as possible. So, uh, an extra level there will go a long way to that. And it’ll be the last time we upgrade that for quite some time now, cuz the next upgrade is 8 million. Why was the helipad done first? Uh, because that increases the amount of money we earn uh from our sponsors by an extra percentage point. So, it’s worth it’s worth it if we’re tight on cash to try and just squeeze every last little drop out of the sponsors. Uh, Valkyrie is in full enthusiasm after that result. Excellent stuff. Czecho is pretty happy as well. Uh, into the inbox. We’ve cleared off everything in here now. So, can’t get another research project started yet. Again, we’re on fire. So, let’s advance time a little bit. Uh, why have I not had to do another sponsor agreement? That’s weird. Yeah, we haven’t had to do another sponsor plan unless it’s automatically done it for us. Oh, that’s not good. Oh, okay. Uh I’m I’m concerned. Yeah, we don’t have a sponsor plan. So, we’re getting no money in 6 weeks time from the sponsors. Why is that? It might be because of the crash. All right, let me um let me reload the auto save and see if that fixes it. Depends when it auto saved. Seven days. Yeah. So, we’ve already gone past that point. Ah, damn. All right. Well, that’s a bug and it’s an annoying one, but it there’s nothing we can do about it now. Uh, we can now use our design center again. Yay. So, let’s get another research project done. And now that we’ve got the chassis project sorted, let’s um get a basic project done on the chassis. One engineer. There we go. That’s a million. That’s the last of our money gone. That might have been silly. No, I’m 5 days away from the race and still nine days away here. Not silly. Got away with that. All right. So, let’s fit the new chassis updates to the car. Let’s fit the new suspension onto uh Czecho. There we go. So, our car has taken another step forward. You can see it’s actually looking a little bit nicer now. Uh not a massive amount nicer, but a little bit nicer. Uh we certainly managed to improve our uh wear rates slightly. So uh looking at the averages, we’re still down 1 and a half km an hour. Much closer in terms of acceleration now, which is good. Uh DRS, we’re only down by nearly 4%. That’s pretty good. Uh, still down a fair bit in the low speed, but it’s less than a full tenth of a point now. So, that’s better. Same for the medium speed. Um, still down a lot in high speed. Uh, dirty air tolerance has improved, but we’re still down exactly 8%. Uh, tire wear cooling has improved a little bit, but we’re still down a fair bit there as well. A good uh a good 7% nearly. Engine cooling was still down by about 9%. So yeah, um definitely still need to do some uh some stuff. Go back on the save file. If I do that, I just undo the race weekend that we’ve just done. So um yeah, we’ll we’ll just have to, you know, suck it up. What we’ll do is we’ll wait until the next sponsor period comes to an end and if necessary I’ll mod in $6 million to cover what we would have normally got from our sponsors. Um yeah, very strange that we haven’t got another sponsor period. I don’t know why that’s happened that way, but uh yeah, we’ll see. Right. Uh with the car prepped and ready. Uh that is it for this Grand Prix stream. We are still hanging on in there in the constructors uh with 20 points in eighth place. We got a a sixpoint gap to Audi. Uh ninth is the target from the board. So we’re a place above where we need to be, which is good. Speaking of the board, let’s quickly check in with what they thought of that result. They were delighted. Excellent. Um, still debt at the start of this month and there’ll probably be debt at the start of the next month as well, but uh, yeah, we are doing quite well at the moment. Uh, we’ve scored points in three of uh, 12 Grand Prix this season. I don’t expect us to achieve the long-term objective this season. Um, but we still got, you know, uh, the end till the end of next season to get ourselves regular points. Hopefully, we can keep pushing the team forward and, uh, achieve it a little earlier than that, but we’ll see. Uh, I don’t think we will somehow, but it’ll be a sprint weekend in Canada. The first time we’ve had a sprint in Canada before. Uh, kind of curious to see how that will go. What’s the weather going to be like? Ah, it’s going to be hot. Very hot on Friday. Look at that. 29°. Uh cooler on the Saturday and then uh a bit bit toasty again. No cloud cover on the Sunday. Uh so it will be uh dry tires uh all the way through. Uh could be a race that we might sneak a point if we can play the tires right. You never know. We seem to do well when we can undercut, but tire wear isn’t usually a major issue at Canada. So, we shall see. We shall see. Uh, that’s it for tonight. I hope you’ve enjoyed tonight. If you have, then a thumbs up would be much appreciated. If you’re not yet subscribed to the channel, then why not consider hitting that subscribe button as well. And make sure you hit that bell for notifications as to when my live streams start. Uh, I will be jumping on to Twitch in about 10 minutes or so, 10 15 minutes with um, uh, rolling line. I’m just going to be tinkering with the railway that I’m working on. Uh so if you’re at all curious as to what the game is or if you just want to hang out, then uh you can come join me on Twitch for that. And then uh I’ll be back at the usual time tomorrow, 8:00 p.m. here on YouTube for round 7 as we head to Montreal and the Canadian Grand Prix. Until then, that’s it from me. Thanks for watching. I am Jim Bob and I’ll be back with some more F1 Manager very soon. [Music]
