Predicting New Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Legends Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC

Pokemon Legends ZA will be receiving DLC. And this is paid DLC, too. So, should be a pretty big size. And this is going to introduce us to new Mega Evolutions. That’s right. We already know that this DLC will be introducing us to a Mega Raichu X and a Mega Raichu Y. So, I think more Mega Evolutions outside of these two is not outside the question. Today, we’ll be talking about the Mega Evolutions that I think we will see within this DLC. [Music] Welcome back to the post where we talk about all things Pokemon and today we’ll be talking about the Mega Dimension DLC for Legends EA and and what specifically I think this will be bringing. So, first let’s just kind of lay the groundwork. Like I said, we do know that this will be introducing new mega evolutions, at least Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Personally, I think it’ll be bringing even more than these two though. Why do I think that? Well, for one, it’s called Mega Dimension. It It’d be a little lame if Mega Dimension only gave us two Megas. Um, but then even beyond that, I think just that price point tells us a lot. Mega Dimension will cost $30. Uh, talking US there at least. And this is pretty comparable to what we’ve seen from past DLC’s. The expansion pass for Sword and Shield, uh, which included Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra was $30. And then the Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC for Scarlet Violet, which included the Teal Mask and the Indigo Disc, was $35. So having Mega Dimension be right around uh those prices uh right on the price of the Aisle of Armor and Crown Tundra makes me think that that’s pretty comparable in terms of what we’ll see from this, which is really big because like I said, those DLCs were two parts. This DLC seemingly is one part. So, you know, the comparison there just makes me really wonder like, oh, just how big is this going to be? And so then you can kind of look at Isisle of Armor and Crown Tundra and you can kind of look at the hidden treasures of Area Zero, Teal Mask, and Indigo Disc, and you can kind of maybe gauge what this Pokemon amount will be for this. And so, going to use my cheat sheet here. There were 21 designs in the DLC for uh Pokemon Sword and Shield. And actually, if you wanted to be a little technical, 23 designs because you do have the Karex Ice Rider and Karex Ghost or Shadow Rider. I I don’t I’m tempted to not include those two though, and that’s why I said 21 just because you do have to think like, all right, it it’s not that hard, right? They literally just put one design on another design and added some rains, right? So, it’s it’s not this huge difference. Uh but either way, 21 designs. That’s that’s pretty big. And then we have with the uh the hidden treasures of various zero DLC that we were given for Scarlet Violet. This was 20. And again, you could up that a little bit more. I didn’t even include the different terraforms for each of the ogre pond, which would be there’s teal mask, wellspring, hearth flame, and cornerstone. So all of their terraforms, that’d be four. Plus, then there’s the fact that there’s technically an authentic and a masterpiece form or a masterpiece and a uh regular form for Poltergeist and Sinestra. So, technically six extra. So, technically there’s 26 new forms there. Also, you could make the argument there’s two more than that because Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, while not a part of that DLC, definitely feel more connected to that DLC than they did the base game of Scarlet and Violet given the uh existence of Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Iron Crown, and Iron Boulder, but that’s up for you to decide. Either way, definitely 20. And quite possibly you could make the argument for 28. Uh, so again, I I could see Mega Dimensions uh amount of new mega evolutions being 20. I could see it being around there. Certainly 15. I think that’s very much in the realm of possibility. So, just wanted to set that groundwork. And now I’m going to go into some ones that I have uh some predictions on. And then something that people point out is there are some mega stones that appear in this trailer. And so I’m going to kind of give my thoughts on those. First up, starting with ones that I think will happen. Number one, I do think that a mega hoopa will happen. And you might go, “That’s crazy. Hoopa has an unbound form.” And you’re right, he does. And you’re right, it would be crazy. But I still think that it’s very possible Hoopa does get a mega. Um, you know, one thing about Hoopa is that it actually changes type when it uh changes to its own bound form. So, while it does get the stat boost, it changes to a psychic and dark type versus its normal type in which is a psychic and ghost type. Perhaps they give a mega evolution to the uh confined form of Hoopa that allows it to keep its psychic and ghost type, but still get a stat boost like it does when it changes to the Unbound form. Uh that’s just speculation. Either way, I do think that Hoopa could very well get a mega evolution here. It is called Mega Dimension and it is about Hoopa, so I I just don’t think that’s too far outside of the realm of possibility. Next up, we have Volcanion. And this is a little bit weird of one to predict. I I admit uh given that this is a DLC focused around Hoopa, it seems weird for Volcanion to get something. But often times we do see a Pokemon play a role in another Pokemon’s game, right? Like for example, in the Crown Tundra, which Karex was presented as the sort of mascot of Glacier and Spectre played a role in that story and Sword and Shield, Eternitus plays a role in that story. Right. to Legends Archus. That game was arguably more about Diaga and Pacquiao than it was Archus. So, I think that it’s possible that Volcanian could play a role in this DLC. And if so, I think it would get a mega evolution just because Dianci has a mega evolution. Hoopa has its own bound form. And if you ask me, it’ll get a mega and mega dimension. But then Volcanian has nothing. It has nothing at all. Sure, it’s got an exclusive typing, but that’s inevitably one day not going to be the case. But a mega is forever. So, I think they do give Volcanian a mega evolution here. I just think, like I said, that makes sense. And now, my next one, you’d think, okay, mythical, mythical. Is he going to present another mythical? No, I’m not. I’m actually going to present to you Lantern. And you might be like, what lantern? And yes, lantern. And this is because if you look uh at the professor’s lab in this game in Pokemon Legends EA, which you might be like, “How do I find that?” Well, long story short, people were able to play the demo and because of some reps not really paying that much attention to what they were doing, go inside the professor’s lab and explore around in there. And in there, we did see that there is this screen with a lantern on it. And then another screen with a lantern and a chinchow on it. and then a screen with a DNA helix, which is the symbol of Mega Evolution, mind you. And interestingly enough, right near this is a picture of Pinser’s Horn, a Pokemon that does have a Mega Evolution. Also, interestingly, this little room does exist in Pokemon X and Y where it’s a Trubbish there instead of Lantern. And you might go, “Okay, well, Troubish and Garboder never got a mega evolution.” And that’s true, and that definitely is a point against this, but why change it from Trubbish? Why change it to lantern? that just seems like an intentional choice and it it makes me wonder if there was intention behind that choice. Uh so I could very well see this being a tease to something in the future and that lantern doesn’t get a mega evolution in the base game, but then does get a mega evolution in uh this DLC. But that’s just my personal opinion. Um I I admit there’s not a ton here. I just thought this was really suspicious. Hopefully some of you can see what I’m talking about. Okay, now for the next portion of this video, what I’m going to be doing is looking at these mega stones. And you might be wondering where these mega stones are even coming from. And they’re coming from this trailer for Mega Dimension. And the part where we go through the portal right before we get to Raichu’s new mega stones, uh, we see these floating around. And so what I’m going to do is I I don’t have any notes on these on what I think these are. I’m just going to give you I have talked about them on Him Power podcast before, but I’m just going to give you my by looking at them just my off-the-cuff what I think it’s going to be. So, number one, I think that one uh is certainly a fairy type of some kind. I’m not going to lie, nothing immediately comes to my head for this one. So, I actually cuz there’s brown and there’s yellow and there’s pink and I can’t think of a Pokemon that immediately matches that other than like Mw, but Mw already has a mega evolution, so it can’t be that. But either way, yeah, I really don’t know. That one stumps me. I guess if I have to make a prediction here, even though it doesn’t have any brown in its design, maybe the mega evolution does have brown in the design. I would say Sylveon. Uh, we do know again that we’re getting these Raichu megas. So perhaps they want to share some love to Eevee by giving its callous evolution, Sylveon, a mega evolution. And then for the very next one, honestly, the first thing I think of is Butterfree. I don’t necessarily think this will happen because Butterfree does have a Gmax form, though some Pokemon like Gengar uh does have both a Gmax and a mega evolution. And then we see Raichu has an alol form and a mega evolution. So it’s not outside the question, but this does look like Butterfree to me. Just saying. Now for the very next one, this is one that I set on hidden power and so I I I’m just going to go through with it and say Leani. Look, I really want Leani to get a mega evolution. So maybe there’s some copium here. Uh perhaps it gets some red bits in its design. Uh and that’s why you see that red or pinkish streak on this mega stone. Uh and I don’t know. I just I just could see it. I just really I I really genuinely could see Leanna getting a mega evolution. I feel like it’s a Pokemon coded to where it could easily mega evolve. Now, for this next one, I’m going to guess Talonflame. Honestly, I could see this one being Talonflame. I think Talonflame is an iconic Pokemon from the Callus region, so I think it makes sense for it to get a mega evolution. If not in the base game, then here. And now for this very next one. this blue with a uh a darker blue or like purplish kind of swirl to it and and it looks like there’s a little light blue in there. Honestly, the Pokemon that comes to my mind, I don’t even think it will get a Mega Evolution, but just to give my first impressions, I do think of Quagsire. This is one that I’ve seen people say, so maybe that’s just infected my brain, but yeah, I’m I’m calling Quagsire there. That’s that’s my personal guess. Now, this next one, I really think it’s Flygon. If you look into this mega stone, you can see a Flygon in it. I swear, guys, I I really I feel like I’m I’m going crazy here, but I really feel like there is definitely a Flygon in that design. Tell me if I’m wrong, I guess. Tell me if you can’t see it, but I feel like I see it clear as day. The very next one, I’m going to say Floatzil. Again, I have seen that one out there, so maybe that’s kind of affected my my mind, but that’s just my honest opinion. Then for the next one, this is a little odd, but I want to say Tyloian. That kind of feels like Tyloian to me, which interestingly enough, if we do look at Toad and Chikorita being the stars in Legends EA, you know, if they’re going to receive mega evolutions, Tyloian would be the odd man out there. Yes, it has a regional form, but it doesn’t have a mega evolution. So maybe maybe it’s Tyloian. Then for the very next one, the blue with the green, this would certainly be some kind of uh Pokemon that would live in the in the water. I would assume it would be a watert type Pokémon. No immediate ones are coming to my head. So, I’m just going to pin this one down as being lanterns because again, that that was my prediction from earlier. So, yeah, we’re we’re going to say lantern. Now, for the very next one, this one’s interesting because it does have a color scheme very similar to Mega Jinx. And you might be like, there is no Mega Jinx. And you’re right, there’s not. But there was supposed to be. We know from the terror leak that a Mega Jinx design was indeed planned for Pokemon X and Y, but was ultimately scrapped. However, I don’t think this Mega Stone is Mega Jinx because for one, if they’re bringing back a design from 12 years ago, they very likely would have tweaked it, much like with the other designs we’ve seen them bring back in some way, like for example, Farfetched’s evolution from uh generation 2. Certainly has similarities to Surf Fetch, but is definitely not a a spot-on comparison. Uh, and so I just don’t think they do it for that reason. But then the other reason is the reason they scrapped this mega. They stated in the terror leak, we know this from uh, notes from Game Freak that they scrapped this mega Jinx because well, Jinx used to have some controversies surrounding it. So, Game Freak ultimately did scrap this design because they were worried that by giving Jinx a mega, they would put a spotlight on Jinx and this would bring back the conversation of Jinx possibly being racist. Uh, look, if that’s the case in 2012, I feel like, you know, XY came out in 2013, so 2011, 2012 is when they would have made this design and ultimately scrapped it. I feel like that would still be the case now. I I to be honest, I mean, I I just don’t see why they’d all of a sudden be like, “Yeah, let’s let’s remind people that Jinx might have been racist, you know? Let I I don’t think that they’re going to do that.” So, I’m going to go with Toxipex. You know, it does have the blue and the purple and then the yellow spikes. It’s a weird call, I admit. Yeah. I I genuinely I see Toxipex here. And now for this last one. Honestly, I could see this one being Hoopa. I think it looks very similar to Hoopa. So, I could see this being Hoopa’s mega stone. Like I said, I think Hoopa’s getting a mega in this game. Or if I had to present an alternative, I would say Noivern. Please, Noivern. I need No to get a mega. But there you have it, guys. Those are my predictions for these mega stones, as well as just my case for a mega hoopa, a mega volcan, and a mega lantern. I ultimately I think there’s a lot of Pokemon Callus that could get a mega. I think that a lot of the attention will be on callous Pokemon. Uh, Xernius, Evveltto, Zygarde, I’d say they’re all possible to get megas at some point, either in ZA or it’s DLC. I’d imagine that Zygarde would get it in ZA and not in DLC. But regardless, I I think that there’s a lot of Pokémon that are liable for Omega. Let me know your predictions of these stones in the comments below.
