NEW FREE PSN STUFF! Get 4 FREE DLCs, New Free Game Update + More PlayStation News and Updates!

How’s it going everyone? Want to go over some free stuff you can get on the PlayStation store right now for a game that I have been uh glazing quite a lot as people would say. So, we’ll go over that. On top of that, a free title that’s been getting some traction on the PlayStation store. Skate has revealed its season 1 and that’ll be kicking off next week. Remember, the game hit early access just a few weeks ago and season 1 will be kicking off on October the 7th. And I want to give you guys a heads up on a brand new survival horror RPG. Parasite Mutant game looks pretty cool as far as atmosphere goes. We’ll talk that at the end of this video. But first of all, Trails in the Sky First Chapter does have some free DLC packs that you can get right now. There is a launch celebration pack that will get you a bunch of different costumes. There is the free sample set volume 1, free sample set volume two, and the free sample set volume 3. The free sample sets really are just in-game items for you to utilize. And then the launch celebration uh pack is a bunch of cosmetics and things of that nature. Uh this is legitimately one of my favorite games of the year. You know, for a long time this year, I’ve been saying it’s 1A 1B with uh Clare Obscure Expedition 33: Death Stranding 2. I put Trails in the Sky First Chapter in that category as well. Yes, I am biased. This is one of my favorite franchise, but you know what? as just a new JRPG. I I’ve said that this is the game to get into the series and the game is absolutely tremendous. It really picks up by the end as well and I can’t wait for Trails in the Sky second chapter. If you have yet to check it out for yourself, if you’re not sold on it, there is a free demo available that you can check out. And that free demo is a sizable demo. Like we’re talking uh you know, six, seven, eight hours of content if you go ahead and do everything in that demo. It’s quite remarkable how much they packed into a demo. So, highly recommend you to check out Trails in the Sky first chapter. Go play the demo, buy the game, get a physical copy, get it uh digitally, whatever the case may be, whatever you want to do, and your progress in the demo will carry on over into the full game if you do decide to play the demo and uh you know, you put five, six hours into it or even more than that and uh download the free content that is available right now as well. So, jump on that. It’s one of the best games of the year. And if you want to make an argument for uh it being game of the year, I am certainly listening. And it’s got a 90 on Metacritic. Welld deserved and one of the best reviewed games of the year as well. So great to see that. Moving on from that, Skate Early Access Season 1 will be kicking off on October the 7th. Uh has been getting quite a mixed reception to say the least. You know, not everybody’s been on board with it. I absolutely detest the art style. I will say that. Like I love Skate 2 growing up. Skate 2 was one of my games. Came out early 2009. That was my era of gaming and I love Skate 2. Sunk so many hours into Skate 2. Uh that this new skate game, you know, just from an aesthetic standpoint. And that’s an important aspect of a skateboarding game. The presentation and really not just for a skateboarding game, any game that’s going to be an important aspect of it. And I just really do not vibe with uh skate from an aesthetic standpoint. Nonetheless, with the new events with season 1, we are going to have Skowen, a celebrating Halloween. Skateaween and Sandman is a light-hearted Halloween celebration that’s less about the spook and more about getting a chuckle, creating an inventive costume, and just skating in a fun outfit. Keep an eye out for the spooky decor around the city. You’ve got seven play Maple Harvest. The annual Sand Van Seven Ply Maple Harvest is a long-standing festival celebrating the city’s unique maple trees. In the 70s, skaters discovered that trees would were perfectly suited for skateboard construction. It’s a community tradition rooted in accomplishments, growth, and reflection. New challenges and tasks. Season 1 will introduce 40 new challenges that will rotate in and out weekly. Players can also take on all new daily, weekly, seasonal, and event tasks to earn tickets and unlock fresh rewards. New brand partners and soundtrack editions are noted as well. New brands are joining the in-game store, including NHS’s Santa Cruz, Creature, and Independent. Season 1 also brings 21 new songs with the ’90s vibe, featuring tracks from Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Ice Cube, and more. The full track drops soon. Launching alongside season 1 is the brand new Lightning update and skate pass, which you can read more about in the grind volume 6. The skate pass will be their variation of the season pass and it’ll be your option to unlock new content and things of that nature. The skate pass. Starting with season 1. As you play skate, you’ll earn in-game seasonal currency that’ll allow you to unlock new pages of the skate pass. Each page unlocks a new set of rewards that you can choose from. Rewards are split into free and premium tracks. Everyone must earn skate pass levels to unlock rewards, but free rewards are accessible without owning the premium pass. Each page of the skate pass requires you to earn a total amount of skate pass currency, aka ticks, to unlock. Uh you can also exchange that currency for items that you want. For season 1, it’s a little shorter than regular season. So there’s over 80 rewards split between the free and premium tracks, including free track customization items like the white of backward cap or lucky strip cargo panda decks and gear like the snake wheels or the I know skate food decks, stickers, outfits, and social items like badges. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out if you can’t complete season 1 pass before season 2 drops in December. As long as you obtain a seasonal escape pass before the season ends, you can continue working on season 1 through season 2, season two to season 3 and etc. So, that’s how they’ll be handling it. As far as FOMO is concerned, I would prefer for just all the content to be available available perpetually, but I get it that these games often uh thrive on FOMO. So, it is what it is. Season 1 will be kicking off October the 7th. Lastly, I do want to give you guys a heads up on a brand new survival horror RPG that is coming out to PlayStation 5 in 2026, and that is Parasite Mutant. Parasite Mutant is a survival horror RPG that uses active time chain system. Players play as a psionic agent Nova, who is on a mission to investigate a mysterious abandoned island city, eventually leading her to uncover a hidden conspiracy and secret, changing her fate completely. Certainly some comparisons will be thrown out for this game to a uh something to the effect of Parasite Eve. I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing whatsoever, but uh seems to be a pretty interesting game. Don’t expect something incredibly high in budget, but it uses a semi-realistic anime art style and utilizes modern rendering techniques to give players a HD visual experience. Additionally, they’ve introduced a retro filter and CRT filter to bring players back to the late 90s and 2000s vibe. Bit of a throwback aspect as well. Uh, Parasite Mune certainly again definitely got the Parasite Eve vibes going on there. Wanted to give some attention to that and that is scheduled to be released sometime in 2026. So, have that on your radar as well if you are into uh horror RPGs. That looks like what it’s going for. A bit of a throwback vibe going on for it as well. But that’s going to do it for me. Again, Trails in the Sky First Chapter has gotten a plethora of free downloadable content. Go check it out for yourself. And if you’ve yet to pick up the game, definitely pick up the game. try out the free demo. It’s fantastic. Game is legitimately one of the best games of the year, and I doubt that it’s going to get nominated for game of the year, but it absolutely deserves to be. So, uh, yeah, highly recommend that and, uh, some free content for that. Skate, another free title, uh, early access right now, but, season 1 of the early access period will be kicking off on October the 7th. The skate pass will be dropping as well, their variation of the battle pass, so you’ll be able to go through that. and Parasite Mutant, a game that’s certainly inspired by Parasite Eve. That’ll be coming a PlayStation 5 in 2026. That’s going to do it for me. Let me know all of your thoughts in the comments section down below. As always, sound off there.
