Where’s Silent Hill 2 DLC? #silenthill
The Silent Hill 2 remake has been out for just over a year now, and there has been constant rumors and speculation since then about potential DLC in the works, especially the return of the fan favorite extra scenario born from a Wish that was seen in the original where you play Maria for a short while going about the town. But so far, we’ve seen nothing. And yet, the rumors continue to persist. So, what’s actually been confirmed then? Well, nothing. In early June and again in October, alongside fan speculation about various game data updates, a notorious horror game leaker called Dust Golem claimed that the Born from a Wish DLC was in the works, which was picked up across the internet in various game news outlets. But just a few days after the October leak, the actress for Maria in the remake stated herself that she had not worked on anything related to Born from a Wish. As of today, there hasn’t been any official confirmation from either Konami or the game’s developer, Blubber Team, who are well into development of their actually announced Silent Hill 1 remake. I enjoyed my time with the remake, and I’d love to see more regarding the world of Silent Hill 2, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for something official about this eventually.
