Price & Full Details Revealed For The Farewell Tour DLC Pack! | WWE 2K25

What’s going on everybody? Kenny Bomb is in the building and after weeks of waiting, the pricing for the Farewell Tour edition of WWE 2K25 has finally been revealed and it’s not good. Now, I will say it’s not as bad as it could have been, but it’s still higher than I expected it to be and it’s higher than it was in previous years. So, it’s not great. But the big question is, is it worth it? Today, we take a look at what’s included to see if we can get the answer to that question. But first, I need y’all to help me out by dropping a like on this video. Just don’t forget to smash that subscribe button because as I’m recording this, in just a few hours, I will be doing a live stream. And during that live stream, I will be giving the farewell tour edition away to three people. Now, let’s get into it. Run, boy. They’re coming now. All right, so the moment we have all been waiting for is finally here. They waited up until the last minute, but 2K has finally confirmed what’s going to be included in this pack. And most importantly, they gave us the price. So, let’s go ahead and take a look at this press release on 2K’s website to find out exactly what is going on. WWE 2K25 Farewell Tour Edition honoring the incomparable John Cena available today. It should be available by the time you guys see this video. New edition and standalone DLC pack worthy of the GOAT. You know what? We got to stop right there because they keep throwing that around. You got to be careful with that goat word. You got guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, the Undertaker running around out here and you’re calling John Cena the goat. Now, it may be time for me to put him in my top 10 of all time, but number one, I don’t think so. But let’s jump into the big details. And this first one may be a sire of relief to a lot of people because as we know Goldberg and Nikki Bella never got released on last gen consoles. Here we have confirmation directly from 2K. Today 2K and Visual Concepts launched WWE 2K25 Farewell Tour Edition and the Farewell Tour Edition pack for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch 2. So, everybody will be getting the Farewell Tour Edition and it’s not going to be for current gen only. But if we jump ahead a little bit, they tell us exactly what’s included in this pack as well. So, the Farewell Tour Edition pack features multiple new playable superstars and additional content celebrating both the final chapter and unforgettable early stages of the record 17time world champions epic run in the Square Circle. There are four playable superstars allegedly in the new farewell tour edition pack. Two new versions of John Cena himself include the Wrestlemania 41 version as well as what I would personally say is the best version of John Cena, the Doctor of Thuganomics persona that first established Cena as a superstar on the verge of greatness. One of Cena’s most persistent and powerful rivals throughout the course of his career is Brock Lesnar. And that is definitely true because we just saw Brock Lesnar take John Cena down again who makes his return to WWE 2K franchise with an updated look including cowboy hat and long hair. So, as I’m recording this, they still haven’t posted Brock’s entrance on their ex account. So, it looks like he’s not going to get his own spotlight, but I think they did a good job with this model. But they continue making his WWE 2K franchise debut. The Ron Cena persona of our Truth, as seen on Saturday night’s main event in tribute to his childhood hero, dons a familiar red t-shirt and a baseball cap with a John Cena inspired move set to match. Now, we’ve all seen Ron Cena, and I think we’ve all known what to expect from him, but I’m hoping they just didn’t do a copy and paste of John Cena’s moves onto our Truth. I would like to see him have a blend of both of their move sets. I think that’ll make the character more unique and a lot of fun, especially because they’re labeling these four new superstars. One of them is new. Brock Lesnar’s definitely new, but I think the others are just more like alternate attires with their own spots on the character select screen, I would say. But they also confirmed that we will be getting five Farewell Tour t-shirt cosmetic items as well. So, with all of that, how much would you guys say this thing is worth? Honestly, Brock Lesnar, that is a big addition. The five t-shirts, I’ll probably never use them. Ron Cena, that is a cool attire for our truth. Love throwback John Cena. And they did give us the Wrestlemania 41 entrance. I mean, based on what we get from our other DLC packs that only cost $10. I think $10 was the perfect price point for this one as well. But unfortunately, 2K did not agree. Let’s see what we will end up paying for this thing. So, if you don’t have the game at all right now and you’re going fresh, brand new, $150, that is very pricey for a game at the end of its life cycle. Now, you are getting everything because this does come with the Bloodline Edition as well. So, it’s giving you everything including the Wrestlemania 41 pack. But $150 this late in the year, price is kind of crazy. 70 70 that’s two games. Yikes. If you’re in a position to spend $150 for this pack because you don’t have the game yet, I would say just wait until 2K26. Unless you’re that person who likes to wait until all of the bugs are ironed out so you can get all of the content at the same time. You don’t need the latest and the greatest and you can wait until this time next year to buy 2K26. This pack is going to be for those people for that $150. But after looking over the second option, it might actually be worse. So if you don’t have the game, you do have another option if you don’t want the DLC, and it’s $90. So you can get the standard version of the game, which if I’m not mistaken is $70, which is still crazy late in the year, and then you can get the farewell tour edition pack, which is $15 separately. 70 + 15 is 85, but this pack is $90. So, if you buy the game by itself and then buy the $15 pack, it actually comes out cheaper. Now, it is more expensive because the VC comes with it, you actually get more PC uh VC if you’re buying it on PC because you don’t get the island cosmetic items. But if you don’t need the VC, then you can just buy the game separately and then buy the farewell tour pack next to it. It’s cheaper. So, I mean, there’s that. But you do get 32,000 VC if you buy it in the pack. So, if you plan on playing my faction or buying different things on the island, it may be uh more beneficial to buy the full bundle. Now, this final option, I believe, is going to be for most of us. And there was a lot of speculation going around with some people believing this would be $20. I personally believed it would be 10, but it looks like 2K fell right in between. So, if you want the Farewell Tour Edition and you already have WWE 2K25, the official price is $14.99. Now, I know this is not the price a lot of us wanted to see. In fact, a lot of you guys wanted it to be free, but unfortunately, that’s just not realistic, but $14.99 is a lot better than $19.99, especially for what we’re getting in this pack. Now, if we look at what’s included here, they actually give us 15,000 VC as well. So, while they’re forcing us to buy that, that is $5 worth of in-game currency. So, at the end of the day, it kind of breaks down to $10 if you play My Faction or if you like to buy different things on the island. So, as I’m recording this video, it’s past 12:00 p.m. Eastern time, but the Farewell Edition is still not available on Xbox. It should be up any moment now, but I got one even better for you. If you take a look at the standard version of WWE 2K25 right now, it’s on sale for $27.99. So, don’t buy that $90 pack. Come get it while it’s on sale and buy the Farewell Tour Edition separately for $14.99. Save some money. But thank y’all for tuning in to this video. Let me know in the comments section, will you guys be buying this pack or did they price it too high? Thanks again for tuning in, Bomb Squad. Let’s get to that. Hey.
