SHOCKING News For Sonic Racing CrossWorlds DLC…
What’s going on everybody? Welcome. Hope everybody’s day is going well. I’m Arman Hammer. You already know what it is. Back at it again with another video. So, as y’all know, we did finally get some new details about the festival coming up, which will be tomorrow. All right. Actually, by the time y’all get this video, it’s probably going to be today. You know what I’m saying? And by the way, we will be streaming that festival. All right. So, be sure to tune in if you can. Maybe get in on the action. hop up on my squad. Long as y’all don’t sell me on the track, then we should be good. However, not only do we get news about the incoming festival, but we also got news from the head of Sonic Team himself about what the future of this game is potentially looking like as a whole. So, before y’all [ __ ] go down in the comment section talking about what’s your source, where’s your source, [ __ ] The head of Sonic Team himself. Right. So, anyways, without further ado, let’s get into the video. So, starting off with the news about the new festival coming up, we will be getting a Joker festival once again, right? If y’all remember back then during the open network test, we did have an opportunity to play as Joker and unlock his rewards through a festival. However, because that was only a test run, um those rewards didn’t carry over to the final game, and we will have the opportunity to play as Joker and unlock his rewards once again. Right. And this is good for those of y’all that didn’t get to participate back then. Y’all finally have the opportunity to play for and keep the Persona Rewards, right? Um the time for this festival will be tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. So, we finally have a basis for what time they kick off these events. Um, usually every Thursday at like what, 8:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. depending on where you are. And of course, time completely depends on, you know, what region you’re in. You know what I’m saying? So, yeah. Um, I’m assuming it’s going to be the same rewards, decals, horns, um, tickets, etc., etc. However, because this is the free content and not the season pass, um, don’t expect the new stage. Matter of fact, I’m pretty sure they already said it. It’s probably going to be the same rewards. You get the character, you get the vehicle parts, and then you get, you know, the extra rewards that you get during the festival, etc., etc., right? So, for those of y’all expecting anything new coming into this, don’t. All right? It’s probably going to work the exact same way it did before when we played it during the open network test. And by the way, um, world match will still be disabled. And however bad that may sound, somebody in my comment section from, uh, one of my earlier videos, they made a really good point. The servers of this game are actually already crazy as it is. The last thing we want is for them to be running two servers at once and then the [ __ ] online just crashes as a whole. I’d rather them fix the server issues that we have right now first and then try to run up two different modes, two different servers at the same time. You know what I’m saying? We’ll be all right with that world match for a couple of days. But anyways, that’s the news about the festival. So, let’s go ahead and get into this dev talk. So, in case anybody’s wondering where this all went down, I think it was during the Brazil Game Show 2025, where somebody was able to meet up with the devs and they were able to ask a couple of questions to the head of Sonic Team himself, Tekashi Lazuka. All right, everybody give it up for the goat Tekashi Lazooka. You know what I’m saying? That [ __ ] brought Sonic back from the dead singlehandedly. And it wasn’t hard, bro. All [ __ ] had to do was lock in and put a little elbow grease into it. Put a little passion into it, right? You see what happens when you listen to the fans and you adjust based off of feedback. Now, speaking of the head of Sonic Team himself said that the next steps of the game will depend directly on community feedback and I quote, “If enough people are coming in and playing it, there are conversations about the game. We have one year of DLC. We could do year two. We could do year three of DLC. Tell us what you want. These are the things we can do because it is an online game. We could add new gadgets. We could balance the game differently. Bro, I’m not even going to hold y’all. This might actually be the best news that we’ve gotten on this game yet. All right. Not only are they willing to directly take feedback from the community, but I’m guessing the sales for this game blew their expectations out of the water because now they’re talking about year two of DLC, year three of DLC. Tell us what you want. Tell us who you want. Now, don’t get me wrong. Are we going to get everything we want? Probably not. All right. No, we’re not going to get Donald Duck Sonic crazy worlds, bro. I’m just saying [ __ ] at this point. He also said that they completely restructured their team. That means merging Sonic Team with the Sega Arcade division to what he described as a perfect partnership. So, it’s not over there like Bandai and Spike Tunesoft where it’s like, “Okay, this is what we want. Put the game out. You have until this time to do it. And if you got any problems with it, well, get fucked.” It is a perfect partnership. All right. They’re working as a unit. There’s communication. They’re talking. They’re taking feedback. All right. Three years of DLC, bro. Imagine 3 years of DLC for this game, bro. But that goes back to what they were saying earlier about new players coming in and playing the game. All right. Like I said before, this all sounds good on paper, but y’all need to put this game on sale. Bro, the game is not bad. In my opinion, I feel like I got my money’s worth. But it’s like, we got to remember it is a Sonic cart racer. Only like 10% of the real population of gaming actually bought this game, bro. I’m not even going to hold you. And not because it’s bad, but because more people just need to be exposed. They need to know about the passion that’s going into this game, the longevity that this game could have. Bro, hey, 3 years, that’s a lot of time to grow. It could be up there given the right circumstances, but it starts with you. It starts with y’all. Put this game on sale and get more [ __ ] on this mug. Because what people don’t seem to understand about this game is despite this game’s current issues with all that’s going on right now. This game is not bad. Actually, it’s nowhere near bad to be honest with you. The game is damn near flawless. All right. And before y’all [ __ ] start tweaking in the comments, I said damn near. All right. Before y’ This is crispy cream levels of glaze, bro. I said damn near. All right. I’ve been having fun with the game. Y’all have been having fun with the game. We’ve all been having fun with the game. All right. The online isn’t even bad to be honest with you. When you’re actually in game racing against other players online, the net code, the online is damn near flawless, bro. You don’t see [ __ ] teleporting around the map. You don’t see [ __ ] appearing behind you. The problem is everything that’s building up to the race, right? You got [ __ ] DCing in the lobby. You got [ __ ] DCing on the waiting screen. You got [ __ ] DCing on the loading tab. All right. If they’re able to fix that problem along with rebalancing some of the items like they said they were, right? They added new gadgets and they add the content on top of that. We should be GG’s with the longevity of this game compared to the [ __ ] we’ve been getting with Unreal Engine 5. Cuz let’s be for real, most of the other Unreal Engine 5 games are optimized like [ __ ] right now. This one damn near stands at the top, bro. And its crossplay and its multiplayer for what it is, bro. This is some damn good optimization. I don’t think there’s any other game on Unreal Engine 5 that’s doing this right now. Unless y’all can name me one down in the comment section, I’ll say I’m wrong. But how many other games on Unreal Engine 5 has stable net code in-game crossplatform customization and they’re taking feedback from the fans? Bro, y’all can’t name another one. Let’s be for real. And on top of that, it feels like a Sonic game, bro. And I was saying this before on stream, but the devs themselves said they wanted this to not only feel like a racing game, but your typical 3D Sonic action game. And I feel like they did their job perfectly, bro. Like, this don’t even feel like I mean, it do feel like a cart racer for real, but this dead ass just feels like a Sonic game, bro. And I think that’s why I’m having so much fun with it, bro. Like, it’s not Mario Kart, but Sonic. That’s what people seem to be getting [ __ ] up about this game, bro. You have to play this game completely different from Mario Kart. All right. If all you’ve got in your head is Mario Kart, but Sonic, you might as well go on up out of here, bro. Cuz as long as you have that mentality, you probably not going to enjoy the game, bro. I’m not even going to lie. But anyways, y’all, that’s the video.
