Saints Row in 2025… Still Horrible?
The Saints Row reboot didn’t just flop, it killed the entire franchise. But 3 years later, was it really that bad? Even revisiting it now, Saints Row 2022 looks visually appealing. But very quickly, things start to fall apart. And sorry, I’ve never seen such a deformed [ __ ] in all my life. And the shooting honestly kind of looks and feels like a Teimu version of Fortnite. It’s not horrendous, but it certainly doesn’t feel polished at all. As we enter the open world, one thing that caught my eye right away was this black hole that would flicker in random locations. Almost looks like someone is trying to enter the game from a different dimension, but I was thinking, “Fuck that. It’s so easy to escape cops or defeat them in this game.” Also, listen to this and tell me this car doesn’t sound like a god to hell vibrator. But if there’s one area where this reboot gets it completely wrong, it’s the story and the characters. And it honestly feels like something the old Saints Row would have made fun of.
