In this roundup of wrestling game news, we have the first look at some new Persona cards coming to WWE 2K25, including Drew McIntyre as the chosen one. We got news of some free DLC content you can unlock and a big teaser for a new crossover coming to WWE Champions. Plus, looking ahead to 2K 26. We have news of a brand new star being scanned and updates on Nikki Bella’s model following recent criticism. Before we get into any of that though, if you’re new to the channel and you want to stay up to date with all latest wrestling game news, then please do hit that subscribe button and turn on your notifications so that you don’t miss out on future videos. So, let’s start with an update on the Nikki Bella situation following the criticism of her model and Nikki asking for it to be updated, which for those unaware came about following the release of the island expansion pack that included Goldberg and Nikki Bella as new characters. Following the release of the pack, many players complained about Nikki’s model. As rather than include an updated version that featured a current look, the pack features her old model from 2K23 with a shorter hairstyle. In response, players took to social media to complain about the model. This then leading to Nikki publicly asking for the model to be updated and Brie Bella criticizing the model on the Bri and Nikki podcast where she branded it ugly with Nikki then adding it looked like she’d been left in a field for years. Now, in an update to this, Nikki’s revealed that she was rescanned during the October 20th episode of Monday Night Raw as 2K were backstage at the event scanning talent. Posting on Instagram, Nikki shared this clip of her being scanned with footage showing her inside 2K’s mobile scanning unit surrounded by cameras. Following the clip that she shared on Instagram, Nikki also discussed the moment she was scanned on the Nikki and Brie Show podcast, where she had plenty of nice things to say about 2K and the whole process. So, they scanned me for the WWE video game for 2K. Thank you. No, I go, I’m sorry for my sister. They all laugh. Don’t ever apologize, but you got a scan because of it. New scan. Did they get the hair? I did. They get the Did you ask him where the hair inspo came last time? We’re not going to go into that. The news of Nikki being rescanned is great news as it means we’ll see a brand new model for her in the near future. though we don’t know if that’s one that’ll be added to 2K25 as part of a future update or if given the timing the new scan will be used for next year’s game in 2K26. Staying with news of superstars being scanned, Nikki Balor wasn’t the only star to announced that they had been scanned this week as posting on X NXT superstar Luca Chrisphino revealed that he too was also scanned for 2K 26. Not only did Luca confirm that he was scanned, but he also shared footage of the entire process using his metal ray bands as Luca shared a video inviting players to come with him to get scanned. In the footage, we see Luca in a 2K’s mobile scanning unit and meeting up with handlers Ryan and Will. When entering the scanning booth, we get a firstp person view of the setup as he sits in the chair surrounded by the cameras before we then switch to shots of Luca in the chair being scanned as the handlers have go through various facial expressions so that they can capture how he looks in different scenarios, allowing them to recreate him as accurately as possible. Following the scan, Luca shared footage of photographer Andrew capturing his legs, as these photos will be used to create them as textures to be used in game. So, this is the first time in a good few years that we’ve had a look at the scanning process, which is now a lot more refined than it used to be and a lot easier to move around as the mobile unit allows 2K to travel across the country and scan stars when needed. Based on the scanning of Luca, the mobile unit appears to be in the NXT parking lot. So, if it was there this week, that means they could have also scanned other stars for the game. As were various stars that have yet to be featured in the series who appeared on the show with a list of these, including the Cullings Izzy Dame and Nico Vance, Ariana Grace, Blake Monroe, Zarya, NXT Champion Ricky Saints, Jasper Troy, OTM, Hank and Tank, and Laney Reed. Also on hand to be scanned were some stars from other promotions including AAA stars Mr. Urguana and Le Parka along with TNA stars Leon Slater and Zachary Wentz. As for which of those names will make it into 2K26 is something we’ll have to wait and see as Luca is the only star so far to confirm they were scanned. Moving on to our next story. It appears there’s a big crossover on the horizon as the Twitter account for the WWE Champions game has been teasing an upcoming crossover with Namco, which will see stars from the Tekken franchise added to WWE Champions. While details of the crossover have yet to be revealed, the WWE Champions account has shared several teasers that show the silhouettes of the characters that’ll be part of the crossover with these appearing to confirm Kazuya, Jyn, King, and Arma King. While no dates have been announced for the crossover, it’s expected to begin sometime next month as the game’s currently running a Halloween event throughout October. Getting back to WWE 2K25, there’s a new live event active in my faction that allows players to pick up some free DLC as 2K have added a beat the beast event that challenges players to use any ruby tier card to take on Brock Lesnar, which if you’re able to defeat him, this will reward you with a 99 rated card for Brock that will allow you to use him in my faction, even if you don’t own the DLC. If you plan to attempt the event, it is pretty challenging as Lesnar starts with three finishes. Though, as it’s an O DQ match, you can take him to the outside and then use weapons to wear him down as you can use the sledgehammer repeatedly without it breaking. As for who to use, I went with the Abyss DLC card as it’s a pretty high rated card. Though, if you find yourself struggling to complete the match actions, you can also switch over to a cruiserweight as they have much easier actions to complete. If you’re lucky enough to defeat Brock, this will unlock his card so that you can use him in my faction. So, if you want to play as him, but you don’t want to buy the DLC, this gives you a way to do that. On the subject of My Faction, let’s talk new superstars. As for fans of Kane, new Keno3 persona is now available in My Faction. Though obtaining him isn’t as easy as we’d hoped as rather than include him in the new Hellfire packs, Kane’s included as a collection set reward. Meaning if you want to unlock the character, you’ll need to open Hellfire packs and collect the new cards for Abyss, Dexter Lumis, the manifestation, Eric Ron, and Randy Orton. Once you collect all five, this will unlock Ko3 as a new character, which you can then use throughout the other modes. Driven by twisted demonic impulses every step of the way. Staying with news of new Persona cards, the WWE games account to reveal the new one that’s coming to the game in the near future is posting on X 2K announced the addition of a classic version of Drew McIntyre as the chosen one, revealing that he’s set to be added to the game via my faction. showing off Drew as the chosen one. 2K released this footage of his entrance. Well, this confirming that he comes complete with his classic Trons and his Broken Dreams theme with the model also shown to be a brand new one as we’re getting a classic younger version of Drew rather than just an attire update like we’ve seen with Kane. Currently, there’s no official word on how to obtain Drew. Though posting on X, WWE games mo Wy Wson noted that he found the card to be part of a live event reward, adding that it’s also said to be an infinite tier card, which is one of the highest rated cards in the entire game. So, we’ll have to wait and see what hoops we have to jump through to unlock Drew as being a live event. I’d imagine it’ll be similar to the one for AJ Styles where it’s not just a single event. So, that’s the latest roundup of wrestling game news. Let me know what you make of it in the comments. And if you want to check out more videos, you can check out the latest episode of Did You Know? featuring a trick to get more than 30 weapons in ring.
