Elden Ring (+DLC) But I Can ONLY USE BACKHAND BLADES

Hello everyone. Today I’m going to be beating Elder Ring and its DLC while only using backhand blades. This weapon class turned out to be considerably stronger than I expected. Crushing every boss with a super powerful dash attack. That was a lot of damage right there and there, too. Oh, what a welltimed saga. Oh my god, how did that not hit the eye? You I’m hitting you in the leg. having quite possibly the strongest guard counter in the whole game. Beautiful. Oh, no way. That’s an absolutely absurd amount of damage. Okay, hold on. Did you see that first guard counter? That’s just unreal. And access to absurdly powerful unique hashes of war like blind spot, which hard counters some of the most difficult bosses. Can I do it twice? Yes, I can. Oh my god, that’s so good there. That is like perfect. I’m going to be starting with the basic backhand blades and rushing to the DLC to collect the others as soon as possible so we can see how they hold up in the base game. You can use the Ash of War on this thing. Easy. Wait, I forgot I could do it. Bye-bye. I’m planning on making a video like this for every weapon class. So, if you enjoy this one, subscribe so you don’t miss the next one. All right, backhand blades only. I think I’m just going to go with whatever has the most decks, which is warrior. Okay, so the way I’m doing it with these DLC weapons I’ve decided is I’m going to spawn in the basic one. Although, actually, in this case, I’m also going to give myself the Ash of War it normally comes with. There we go. And then we can use this to get to the DLC. And obviously, since we rushed the DLC as soon as possible, it shouldn’t be too long before we get the rest of the weapon class as well. So, as always, we’re going to be rushing to the DLC as soon as possible. Obviously, the remainder of this weapon class is all in the DLC. There are three backhand blades in total. These normal ones, the curs blade circ, and the smith script ones. So, not that many this time, which is kind of nice cuz it means we get a lot of time on each of them. Although, I imagine I’m not going to be using the smith script ones very much cuz they are bound to just be straight garbage, as all Smith script weapons kind of are, but we’ll give them a shot. The main things of interest here are the unique Ashes of War, specifically blind spot is very interesting. Deadly dance on the cursb blade sir might be kind of interesting too. That’s the one where you fly in the air and spin around a million times like the uh cursb blade enemies. And then the other thing that’s a really really big deal is getting the deflect tier so that we can use guard counters on this thing effectively because the guard counter on backhand blades is ridiculously good. Like it’s busted levels of good. It does a [ __ ] ton of poise damage. It does a ridiculous amount of damage. Like the motion value on it. I looked at it before I did this video. It is absurd. It’s something like 400 motion value, which if you don’t know what motion values are, they’re basically like you take the attack power of a weapon and you multiply it by a number and that’s how you get the actual damage of a weapon. So that’s why when you do an R1, it’s different to when you do a charge heavy. For example, when you do a jump heavy on this weapon, you get a motion value of 198. So 400 motion value. 400 is ridiculous. So there’s that. Also, it hits like six times. That’s also a pretty big deal. So, we’re definitely going to be using a [ __ ] ton of guard counters where I can, which I’m pretty excited for. Blind spot is something I want to use a ton as well cuz it’s got eye frames on it. That sounds very interesting to me. I think I can make cool stuff happen with blind spot. For now, though, we are just going to go kill Margaret and Godric immediately. I want this to be one of my fastest DLCs yet. I want to see if I can get there like ridiculously quickly. Normally, it takes me about 2 hours. This time, I think I can do it in considerably less. I can actually quickly put a Keen infusion on this since I gave myself the Ash of War. Keen infusion. All right, market time. The thing, so generally the strategy with these weapons cuz I have used them quite a bit, so I do kind of know what I’m doing. Wow, that was a very early roll. That was kind of funny. I don’t know what happened to my brain there. Anyway, I have used them quite a bit. Generally, what you want to do is um running heavies, interestingly enough. I feel like it’s the only weapon in the game where that’s really like the straight up meta because they’re really good on um dual curved swords as well, but on dual curve swords obviously you want to do jump attacks and they’re like considerably better. Um so it’s kind of a unique play style which I like. And obviously the reason these running heavies are so good is cuz you know I mean all the reasons anything would be good, right? They do a lot of damage. They do a lot of poise damage. They hit a lot of times, so they proc multihip really quickly. Good at building up status effects, etc., etc. It’s just a really good attack. But what’s nice about that is that obviously it’s really quick, so you can throw it out any time. Uh like a lot quicker than doing like a charge heavy for example, which kind of sucks on this. Uh, and you get to use that letter thing, the letter talisman that buffs running attacks, which makes it like quite a lot stronger, too. Also, I just realized I haven’t used blind spot once. I guess it kind of doesn’t fit well with blind spot cuz on most of his attacks, you’re just straing it. Anyway, oh my god, I got the [ __ ] turnar around animation. Do I need to lock in? I can’t have another moment last like last video. I get turnar around animation then get startled so badly that I scream. It is looking okay here as well. It’s not it’s nothing crazy, but I don’t know. Maybe I should do a charge heavy and see what the damage looks like. Okay, interesting. Stagger kind of came out of nowhere. Damn. It does tend to be the case that in the early game for some reason Ashes of War will like outscale. Let’s look at a charge heavy. Yeah, I mean it’s probably about the same when you can in that you get more time to punish. Oh my god. So me falling off that tiny sword there almost got me killed and dead. Beautiful. Okay, we’ll look at blind spot on Godric. What a scuffed Marget to be honest with you. I played so weird, man. I was kind of focusing what I was saying. Okay, obviously here we’re going to be dumping basically every single point we get into decks. So, this weapon gets saling in decks when it’s max upgraded on a Keen Fusion. This is also a great time to talk about this video’s sponsor, Boot.dev. So, boot.dev allows you to learn backend web development from start to finish in Python, SQL, and Go. And it’s sort of set up like a game would be in that they use game mechanics like chests and armor and items and potions and achievements, etc., etc., to make coding a more engaging process. It’s basically using all of the things that games do to try and keep you playing endlessly, but now directed towards something that’s extremely helpful. Also, there’s a big focus on building actual projects like you do for a real job, which is a method of learning that personally I’m a big fan of because when I learned Premiere, for example, which I’m literally using to edit this video, I went about it in a very similar way. Also, they recently launched their new training grounds, which allows you to practice challenges infinitely before going back to your coursework. And you guys know how much I absolutely love practicing endlessly, so I’m a big fan of that one, too. Also, all the content on their website is free to read and watch, so you can get a taste of it before spending any money. And then, if you do spend money, you get access to all the interactive parts, as well as the community Discord, where people are there to help you out if you ever get stuck. So, if any of that sounds interesting to you, it really helps me out if you go to boot.dev and use my code oshia 2 for 25% off the first year of the annual plan. Okay, Godric time. This time, I will remember to use blind spots. I have barely used this Asher war. In fact, I think I’ve used it like once in a video. I think I fought Nile with it. Wait, maybe we can use it here. Uh, that was really weird. That did kind of work, though. Maybe here. I mean, that did work. Charge heavy. I wonder how much poise damage it does. Probably not a lot, right? Oh, okay. Okay, never mind. Maybe it does kind of kind of a bit. The actual damage damage isn’t looking so hot, though. That was pretty good, though. Like, it felt pretty easy to eyeframe stuff with blind spot. What’s in phase two? Surely we stagger him here. Yep. Head shot. Nope. How How do I miss a headshot there? I should have just hit normally. Okay. I don’t know when we’re going to blind spot here, though. I guess on the same sort of attacks. I feel like that like one two swipe combo thing he does this one right here. I went the wrong way. [ __ ] dude. Surely you can influence wins which which surely you can control which way you go with the blind spot though, right? Cuz I kept going left there when I wanted to go right. I felt like I was holding right on the stick. Maybe it wasn’t direct enough angle or something that you must be able to control it. There’s no way. One. Okay, there we go. That’s what I wanted to do. and charge heavy. Huge. Okay, this again. What? How is that not an eye frame? That was too early. No way, man. It was so easy to eye frame everything with the blind spot the first time. It’s okay. I’ll get used to it. I guess this kind of feels weird this Ash of War. Mainly because I don’t know how the hell I’m influencing where it goes. Maybe I need to be locked off. Okay, went the right direction that time. Like I swear to God I’m holding the angle I want to go and sometimes it just goes the other direction. Those R1 ones are kind of chunky though to be fair. Also it’s probably a a gigantic pierce damage hit cuz it’s a poke on blind spot. Okay, we got another one of these. No, we don’t. Never mind. Feel like he’s being so weird right now. Big charge heavy. Yep. Ah, missed the headshot again, dude. Beautiful. Surely that’s enough poise damage. No, it’s my moment. blind spot and the W just like what the [ __ ] dude. I’m swear to God I’m holding the other direction. I swear to God I’m holding the other direction. Look at that headshot though. And there in fact you can see what I’m holding. Editing me puts a thing on screen showing what I was holding on the previous blind spot. proving me right and vindicating me and definitely not making me look stupid. It’s maybe I’m doing like some freaky [ __ ] where right at the end I just input the complete opposite direction. I am hitting all these headshots though which I’m pretty happy about. Saga. No saga. No. Oh, that was so so meaty and like optimal punish. He’s dead. Yep. Beautiful. You love to see it. Okay. I mean, it was pretty good. And blind spot’s clearly good if I could control where it was going. Either I’m doing something horribly wrong or it’s just kind of goes wherever it wants to go. That can’t be the case, man. That cannot be the case. Like look, I can control it here. Maybe I should need to be locked off. Maybe that’s what this is. Okay, so as always, I’m going to go run around and collect all the basic items I pick up for setup. and I will see you in about an hour with a bunch of items on screen that I picked up. It is extremely tempting to kill Alex early on this run, but I don’t think I will just because I can’t think of an explicit time where we’re going to use Ash of War as our main focus before we get to Farum. So, you get to live. You’d think at this point that I would just skip this whole thing considering I do it every single time and it’s the exact same and it’s like there’s nothing to it and it always gets cut from the video and I’m still doing it. I don’t know why it would feel weird not to. Like there’s an authenticity in the run that comes with me doing this. Obviously, there are other moments in the run where I’m like, you know, using tools to skip over running sections that are just nothing, like running through Forbidden Lands, but those are pretty minor in comparison, I guess. I just feel like it’s too too large of a section to be skipping. Doesn’t feel genuine anymore. This is actually where Blind Spot is perfect on some [ __ ] eating turtling enemy who just says find the shield. Okay. Of course, the one time he doesn’t do it is when I want him to. Okay, now sit behind the shield. Sit behind the shield so I can do the cool thing. Just sit behind the shield for a second. Just for a second. Stop attacking. Who is this rat? Oh no, rat. Third party. He’s This is the most aggressive I’ve ever seen. Okay, never mind. He He brought the the great shield just it’s it’s just bait. He’s annoy. He wasn’t actually planning on using it. And of course, I get it as the drop just to rub salt in the wound. I will be doing Rise Quest again. It’s kind of just for the love of the game as well. Obviously, we get free Gambit out of it. That’s the main thing. I want to get Gambit every run. I think it’s such good practice for no hit stuff. Also, I think it just makes the game more fun on repeat playthroughs. And I’m back. Wow, look at all those great items I got. Aren’t they so great? I literally did that whole thing in silence, like the [ __ ] human macro. Okay, so to get to the DLC early, we need to kill Red and then do Vare’s quest and then kill Moog. So, Rodan is next. And this might sound crazy, but I think the plan for Rodan is to hit him until he dies. I’m not sure why I’m not doing that every time really. It seems like the best way to go is with a charge heavy build. Obviously, normally that’s kind of a terrible way to go on backhand blades cuz the charge heavy is not very good, but we only really have access to the components to build for charge heavies. So, I think it’d be interesting to see how it does. On top of that though, we’re also going to get the backhand blades plus 12 and grab Godric’s grape rune and probably grab blue dancer charm too. Hello. And that’s the video ruined. I’m going to have to delete all the footage. Okay, well first thing, let’s go get Godric’s grape rune. I got to go back to starting every day with practice. Wasn’t that long ago where every day, you know, before I did any recording, before I did editing, I would just start by practicing for a couple of hours. And it was really helping. It was helping my consistency, especially on those bosses where, you know, I maybe wasn’t super confident. I got to start doing that again. Okay, that’s that. Let’s go get blue dancer charm. It’s kind of [ __ ] up that that one dog just doesn’t care about our beast torch. Okay, that’s a little bit less damage than I expected. Okay, we’re fine as long as you get the stagger. Goodbye. Okay, there’s blue dancer. Let’s go level this weapon up. Oh, also I’m going to be toggling run on in the art just so I don’t have to farm rats for more runs when I die and I’m going to die too much because I’m testing stuff so I can make more interesting video. Blue D should be a very big damage increase on this actually cuz these literally weigh 2 kg. Very nice. Okay, plus 12 backhand blades. Let’s go fight Reddan. Here it comes. Strength talisman. Yeah, just a regular item right there. Nothing remarkable to say about it at all. We can actually grab crackl blade right here as well. Thank you. I’m kind of interested to see how this does cuz basically every time I’ve used these things, I have avoided the heavy attack pretty much exclusively cuz it’s really not that good. At least as far as I can tell. Although I haven’t actually like built into it properly. So maybe I’ll find out here that it is in fact really [ __ ] good. It’s just that it’s very slow and seems to hit not quite as hard as the running heavy. Regardless though, I feel like this should be good here. Good opening, too. Like I kind of messed up the positioning on this like that. What the hell am I doing? I’m just going to continue. Weirdass RNG. Also, I just did a running attack anyway. I’m messing everything up immediately, dude. At least do the attack you came here to do. Okay, there’s actually really good damage. Jesus. Did that count as in front of him? I really hope it did. Okay, it did. And another one. Stagger maybe. Oh, please stagger. That was really, really good though. Obviously, it didn’t stagger. I guess it probably doesn’t do very much poise damage even with Crag Blade. No horse jump. There we go. And maybe the second charger will Okay, that’s actually kind of insane damage. Please do the jump. [ __ ] yes. Short stagger now. No, the R1 damage is kind of crazy. Oh my god, I can’t believe I just did that. Oh, so washed. Can we just forget that one happened? Just forget that one happened. Yeah, let’s see this again. That was actually looking pretty good. The only downside that I can see is that the poise damage kind of sucks. And also that there’s like five other ways to use the weapon that do more damage, but whatever. Give me the good opening again. This time I won’t mess it up. Okay. Guess not. This is going to go nuts when we have some multi head set up big. Oh my god. Like imagine it would have stacked fully there easily. Another charger. Okay. Surely he staggers this time though. Surely. No. Oh, dude. The damage is just insane, though. Like, he’s basically dead already. Oh, no. No repost. [ __ ] Okay. Instant horse jump, though. He is just dead. This animation is super cool, too. Damn. Okay. Yeah, that just absolutely [ __ ] destroyed him. like pretty close to skipping phase two. If you had a little bit more poise damage, it would do it. Good ass weapon. Like really [ __ ] good weapon. That is radon done. We need to head to Moog, which I want to do incredibly quickly. So, there is only one thing that I’m going to go grab before we get to Moog, and that is the glintstone webblade so that we can get cold infusion on our backhand blades because cold infusion actually works very well with decks and obviously having a status effect is going to be really [ __ ] helpful with damage. So, let’s go do that and then do Var’s quest and get some Moog. Oh my god, this weapon already has a deck scaling. That’s crazy. Wait, it’s getting more damage from the scaling than it is from base. That’s wild. Dog time. It is shocking to me how much better this boss is than Rana in the next room over. Would have been kind of sick if this was the remembrance boss. Damn. Oh, that’s such a nice punish for this weapon cuz it’s optimal to do the running heavy anyway. I rolled early. Served. Deserved hit to take. Goodbye. Beautiful. I need to go quick. Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. Okay, there’s the glintstone webb blade. All right, now we need to do the fastest vary quest of all time. Give me my talisman slot. Thank you. Yes, yes, yes. Oh my god, suddenly everyone’s got the biggest monologue. Actually, while we’re passing through, I’m going to grab ritual sword talisman to fill a talisman pouch. Beautiful [Music] die. Excellent. Okay, didn’t lose too much time there. Three invasions incoming. Nice. Okay, we’re good. We’re making good time. Thank you. No time for any preamble. Just death. Thank you. Back to var. All right, just pull it off quick, dude. And there it is. Okay, off to Moog. Beautiful. 24. Think I can run up there and kill him in the next 6 minutes. Perfectly jumping up all the sloped areas to be marginally faster. Just put me in the summoning salt video already. Might be the goat of making it to Moog slightly quicker than normal. Okay, here we go. Now, I better not [ __ ] up the fight after all of this. I kind of don’t exactly know what I’m doing here a little bit. I guess just charge heavies still. This should do a lot of damage actually with cold infusion too. It’s more just like will I not [ __ ] things up? Big charge heavy. It’s not bad. I don’t know if charge heavy is the way to go. Yeah, the running heavies are basically the same. Oh, thank god that staggered him cuz that was not safe. Clearly, that was a huge headshot though. Damage is kind of through the roof now. That was pretty big damage. really already get off a few extra heads. Nah, we really don’t want him on the stairs. Charge heavy gear. And another one. That’s huge. Tap on his head. Big repost. What have we got? 2 minutes. [ __ ] This is going to be cutting really close. That is not good. We are now further up the stairs than we ever were. And I got hit. My god. There’s the frost though. The [ __ ] stairs, man. Okay, so that wasn’t safe. I just got very lucky. Okay, this is bad. This is what we want, though. Coming down the stairs. Oh my god, finally. Finally, I can play and not be scared. That’s not so good, though. He is stalling me like a [ __ ] too. Going to drink here so I get 10% more damage from Ritual Sword. Oh, please approach. I have a minute 30. Come on, man. Big ch heavy. Maybe jump heavies of the way. Good wing hits. This is a really awkward position to be in. Okay, good thing I managed to do that somehow. I can get more hits in there. Oh no, I’m running out of time. Oh, jump heavy on the head. Huge post. Come on, man. Come on. It’s like [ __ ] 10 seconds. Come on. One more opening. Dead. Oh my god. Make it to the egg. [ __ ] [ __ ] Make it to the [ __ ] egg. [ __ ] Come on. Come on. Come on. Go. Go. Come on. Please. Please. Yes. Yes. [ __ ] Yes. Stop 130. Okay. So, there are quite a few things we want from the DLC this time, although most of them involve me just kind of running around and picking stuff up. First of all, there’s the obvious, the two other backhand blades that we can get. So, that’s the cursb blade sir, which we can actually get immediately from this cursed blade enemy here. and the Smith’s Rip Circ, which is in one of the forges. And then on top of that, there are a couple other things we want. One is the deflecting hard tier, cuz if you remember, guard counter on backhand blades is unique and really, really [ __ ] good. So, I want to use that a bunch. And deflecting hard tier is probably the best way to go about it. So, we’ll get that. And then lastly, I want to get the lacerating cross tree talisman, which is the one that buffs dash attacks. And to get that, we’re going to need to do a chunk of letters quest up to the point where we kill hornscent with her. And considering I’m a little concerned about that cuz hornscent is scary. I think we’ll also fight gas on the way so that we have a little bit more damage. I guess we could just kill this curslade right now as well. Hopefully it isn’t insanely tanky. I do kind of know how to fight these guys now. Oh god. Okay, we’re fine. I’m going to be honest. I thought they would be cooler than they are. Maybe I’ve just like the way I’ve chosen to fight them isn’t really a good way to do it, but or like it it isn’t the interesting way. But they’re kind of a lot more just kind of spacing out the attacks than I thought they would be. Like they’re a little bit less engaging than I’d hoped. They’re very cool looking though. I kind of messed up there, but we’re fine. Got away with that. And you’re dead. Easy. Okay, there’s the cusblade sir. So, these things are very similar to the regular backhand blades to be honest. The only difference is this ash of war, which is pretty cool. Although, it might be kind of hard to find a good use for it. I guess we’ll see. From what I remember, the recipe for furnace pots that you need to take out the furnace golems easily is down here. Beautiful. Okay, this weapon class is kind of weird actually cuz it doesn’t feel like there’s any way to use it that is the outright best. Like most of the time there’s probably a couple ways that are good or viable at least, but there’ll be one that is really really good. Like you take, I don’t know, the great club, for example. I’m sure you could do jump heavies and it’ be decent, but charge heavies are like definitely the best way to use it. With this weapon class, it’s it’s difficult to tell. Like dash attacks are really good obviously, but R1 spamming also seems really good. Jump attacks seem pretty solid, too. It’s kind of nice, though. It means there’s some more variety. Maybe it’s just very well balanced. Maybe that’s what it is. It’s interesting that the beast torch scares away the wolves because to be scared by the beast torch, you have to consider yourself a beast. These wolves are struggling with poor self-image. This jit cracks birds. Anyone else have a permanently blocked nose? That’ll be fun to deal with if I ever stream. Before we go and fight gas, I will go and get the deflecting hard tier cuz I think it would be kind of interesting to use on gas. I don’t know if it’ll really work cuz he does have pretty small openings and obviously we’re only plus 12 so the damage is going to be kind of whatever. We don’t have multi stuff set up as well. So, I don’t know. We’ll see. But, um I think it’s still worth giving it a shot cuz the problem with the deflecting heart here really is that elemental damage goes through your block. So, a lot of the bosses in the game, it’s just not going to be very good because you’re just going to be taking a ton of damage even if you do parry correctly. And gas is probably one of the few, especially in the DLC, but that’s not the case. Okay, let’s go collect the remaining things we need for the pots and then blow up the furnace golem. Okay, so we do have a strap for this that I saw Mitch do that I’ve done before, although I remember it being kind of annoying. Like that. No kick. No kick. No kick. We’re good. Two. Three. Dead. A. Finally, dude. [ __ ] Okay, there’s the deflecting hards here. Let’s grab the guard counter talisman quickly from Stormvil and then let’s go fight gas. It seems like a waste to use guard counters without using the guard counter talisman. Beautiful. There is a very good chance that this does not go well at all. Primarily because I’m not used to playing with the deflecting hard tier or guard counters. Also, the damage is probably not going to be super good considering we’re plus 12. I mean, it’s gas. He’s not the tankiest boss in the world, but still. And we do a frostbite to be fair. Actually, I forgot to say when we were fighting the cursed blade, but like it did feel like it died really, really fast actually. Okay, I pressed the wrong button. But that was good though. Nope. Too early. This is going to be rough. I got to figure out which ones I want to guard counter and which ones I want to roll. I seem to remember something like this kind of happening last time when I used deflecting hardier on midra. It just kind of went horribly for some reason. It’s surprisingly unintuitive for me. I know a lot of people really really like the deflecting harder though like think it should be a core part of the kit level of like it which I mean I couldn’t disagree more but you know if you like it you like it I guess. Maybe we get one over here. Holy [ __ ] that is a lot of damage. Wow, what an attack. Obviously, we knew it was good, especially considering I looked at the exact stats behind it and I parried too early. [ __ ] man. Oh, dude, look how big that hit is on a plus [ __ ] 12 weapon. No, my repost. Oh. Oh my god. Did you see the stamina? I literally had none. Dude, thank god I have the stamina tier in phase two, right? Definitely a lot more opportunities to parry and guard counter in this fight, but you got to cut me some slack cuz this [ __ ] is not natural to me. This is like the first time they put the monkey in front of the typewriter. You know what I’m saying? like you can’t have him writing Shakespeare day one. He’s got to he’s got to start off writing like I don’t know Dr. Zeus or something and you know maybe he won’t even manage that. Green Eggs and Ham was a little too complicated for the monkey. Maybe we give him the alphabet and we see how he gets on. Beautiful. It’s kind of weird how long the openings feel. Oh wow. I just looked at the stamina bar for the first time when we were doing a guard counter. This thing uses a lot, huh? Big Frost. And it’s like a shocking amount of stam. Beautiful. And it’s also just an insane amount of damage. Okay. See, it’s probably sick as [ __ ] if you parry this whole thing. Why did I do an extra roll? I’m a weirdo. Oh. Oh, the cancel. Oh my god. Oh my god. That was slick as [ __ ] Right. I forgot you can’t parry then. Phase two. I’m just going to do it anyway, though. It’s actually not that much that seeps through that stamina bar or the health bar even. Oh my god, dude. That was so satisfying. You have no idea. Give me the big poke. Just get absolutely chunked. Plus 12 weapon. I had to roll that cuz I was at a bad spacing. No kick. We get it here though. No stagger. It’s fine. We get it here. No, I lied. And here. Oh, you hate to see it. Gas fans are weeping. And goodbye, dude. That was so good. That was so good. It is a very very satisfying attack to hit. Actually, the only thing that is concerning about it is that stamina consumption cuz that is like [ __ ] crazy. It’s consuming like 60% of this stamina bar, which is a fat stamina bar. Like how much? 30 endurance. And we were draining that completely. So that’s guys done. Now we can progress Letter’s quest and get the last written cross tree. Okay, so just the hornscent. So hopefully if I just go to where the invasion is now, the summon sign will be there and I can assist Lea and kill Hornscent. And this is really nice too because every time I come through the DLC, I summon Hornscent at the end of the Mesma fight so that we can remove him from the letter fight, but obviously having him killed by letter also removes him. Saves us a lot of time. Any summon signs? No. I mean, supposedly it should be there. Please have summon signs. I don’t see any. resting in a grace a couple of times can be necessary to advance dialogue options. Classic from software quest a little bit like this is the thing though with from soft quest is obviously this whole time passing thing does get kind of annoying but I understand what they are trying to do this just can’t be the solution and I also feel like some sympathy for them because I it’s not like I can come up with a solution that’s better off the top of my head of a way of giving the illusion of time passing without it making quests kind of obtuse and unintuitive. I think it’s a difficult problem to deal with. And I like the idea of it, too. I like the idea of it potentially working. Like, if it felt natural, which I’m sure to some people they have returned at periods and it’s worked itself out in a way that made it feel very natural. I bet that’s sick. It’s just that I feel like 60% of the time it either doesn’t work or it just puts people off, which is a shame. Okay, there’s the summon signs. Finally, he’s summoned to assist letter. He is probably going to one-shot me, so I got to be careful. Ah, caught his ass. There’s the Fri Fist. Frost, please hit him. Letter, she’s actually holding her own. Damn. Okay, my goat. Okay, that was actually like really really easy. Maybe we didn’t even need to go kill guys to be honest. Let’s talk to Letter. Give me that lacerating cross tree. Thank you. So, that’s that done. Final thing from the DLC that we need is the smith script suck. Smith script suck. Okay, we actually kind of needed that anyway. So, there we go. Spence script. Okay, quickest exit. I guess that is the last thing we need from the DLC, though. So, back to the base game. Let’s go fight DTS. I guess we’ll just stick with what we already have going on right now. See if we can do some dash attack stuff. That would probably be pretty good for DTS, to be honest. Should we do a quick Marget? I think he’s going to get smoked. I tried to pre-fire him. That’s disrespectful of me. I completely forgot what I was doing immediately and just did a charge heavy [Music] big jump attack. Oh, it’s so nice when you get like a very clean punish but also just happens to proc your status effects. It’s very satisfying. Oh, I’m mid rolling, aren’t I? I should be careful. If you’re wondering why that’s even a concern, it’s because Oh, nice. That quick combo he does with the sword, the light sword is a little dangerous when you’re mid rolling because if you’re too close to him, you can’t space it with two rolls. He’ll catch you. This [ __ ] is going to be so busted when we have a full multi hit to set up. I think that’s probably the goal. Like we’ll go through Lindell and then we head to Consecrated to grab the multihit tier and we’ll probably do some of Milison’s quest to get the Millison’s prosthesis and wings sword insignia. When we have all of that going, the guard counter is going to hit. unbelievably hard. I’m thinking maybe we can get a guard counter off on the initial like stomp he does with the horse. Oh my god, one dash attack. I don’t think we’re going to be able to get guard counters off on this guy. The dash attacks are crazy though. This is actually a really good weapon class, isn’t it? And with this being their kind of optimal way of using them, they’re also very easy to use. Okay. Not if you accidentally do the wrong move. They also have a very strong rolling attack to be honest. Like, okay, well, that doesn’t count cuz that was frost, but that’s like a lot of damage. Oh, and they hit actually twice. Interesting. So, that probably procs multi hit, too. I really should start hitting him when he does that instead of just kind of standing there like a idiot. Beautiful. That’s really unfortunate. And you know what? A forcing me out. What a [ __ ] Come over here. Uh I didn’t actually mean to do that. Can I have a somewhat large opening? No. 1 million rolling attacks. At least let me finish it off with a dash attack. Okay, bye-bye. Smoked. I have no Gambit. I should probably go get Gambit. Okay, let’s go get it. Say goodbye. What the hell? The fact that he just stood there and healed in front of me. Oh my god, the disrespect. So, by killing Bernal and then going to Volcano Mana, it actually unlocks all of the things in his shop that you normally get from the kill requests in Volcano Mana, which means you can get gambits without having to fight annoying NPCs, which is very, very nice. There it is. Beautiful. I can’t believe you guys voted for backhand blades over straight swords. I’m just saying. I mean, I like backhand blades, too, but straight swords is like that’s a good one, man. I like straight swords. It’s interesting. Nobody uses straight swords. Well, I mean, they kind of do, but not much. Like, Square Off is going to be interesting for people who haven’t seen Square Off. That’s going to like be mind-blowing. And dual straight swords is really fun, too. And I could also build some like freaky twin blade talisman thing or something. I kind of want to fight odds noble. Okay, now please don’t roll on me immediately. Of course. Oh, okay. Well, that was a interesting detour. What were we doing? All right. Going to fight Goldfrey. Okay, now Goldfrey for sure is a very good boss for guard counters. Oh, I’ve also definitely got to remember to grab the sanctified webb blade here cuz I’m probably going to want to use lightning infusion a couple times at least. And after you kill fire giant and burn the bowl, you can’t get it anymore. Okay, let’s see this. Surely I won’t [ __ ] up my timings here. He’s so simple. Oh man, that one is just so funny. Maybe. Oh, he god broke me so [ __ ] fast. Also, that intro where not only do I miss the timing, but then the axe just phases through me is it’s very, very funny. I’m such an idiot. It’s fine. We get him this time. It’s a lot of damage. All right. I keep accidentally strafing. Okay, it’s fine. Right. He’s going to guard break me on that one. Okay, what do I guard counter like this? Oh my god, that is a lot of damage. Stagger and you are dead. We got like two guard counters off that just chunked him for like a half his health bar every time. That was actually really, really good. Cuz normally when we have kills that look like that good on Goldfrey, it’s using one of his weaknesses like lightning or something. I mean, obviously he’s a super weak boss, but still. Did you guys know that when you have uh the backhand blades equipped, you can run up here and crouch behind the black knife assassin and then wait for her to stand up and then sneak behind her and then she’ll just sit back down. This only works when you have the backhand blades equip equipped though. It doesn’t work with anything else. Don’t tell me in the comments that it works with anything else because you’re wrong. Okay, I think it’s time we bring out the cursed blade, sir. To be honest, it’s been sitting here. It’s been stewing waiting for me to actually use it. And now that we also have a final talisman slot, I think we should fill it with Millison’s prostthesis, which means doing a bit of Millison’s quest. Fun, fun, fun. Wonder whether I remember how to do the Commando O’Neal cheese. It does actually take a surprisingly long time to do this whole quest line. It’s almost like they expect you to be exploring the areas surrounding it on the way to do it in a reasonable pace as you play through the game or something, which is [ __ ] ridiculous. So, I’m pretty sure we jump up here. We get in this little cubby. There we go. We are on the branch. We need to shoot at him this. And then we need to like stand here and crouch. So, last time I did this, I said I was confused as to why I needed to stand here and face the other direction and crouch. And somebody in the comments explained that when you do this, because you’re not looking at him, some of the terrain behind you isn’t loaded or something. So, there’s a little hill that normally he gets stuck on, but because you’re not looking in that direction, the hill kind of just isn’t there. So, he’ll just teleport through it, and that’s how he ends up below you. Like, yeah, like there he is over the hill that he shouldn’t be able to get over. Isn’t that interesting? And we come down here and we just hit the floor. This should be good. And now we wait. Do you think if you’re a game developer and you see people doing [ __ ] like this on your game, it’s annoying or it’s like interesting to see what people come up with? I mean, that’s probably just a question of what type of person you are. There he goes. Beautiful. Okay, let’s go talk to Gallery. Thank you. Wow, she’s she’s back to full health. People in these quests really require a lot of babysitting. Maybe that’s the other thing about it is that when you set things in motion and then you pass time and then something happens. Sure, makes sense, right? But something like this where it’s she should go here regardless of whether I talk to her here or not. But she’s not going to leave here until I talk to her. So, you have to be there to babysit it. It feels like this quest should progress itself up until this point here. I need to go get her arm for her. Okay. Yeah. Take this arm I found. Build your own millennia. Okay. Go fight God apostle obligatory. I kind of suck at this boss. Hopefully, we’re fine anyway. Okay, that was very greedy of me, but it did do a lot of damage. Like, surely I can do [ __ ] that would normally be unsafe because I can just recover by guard countering. Surprised he didn’t stag it there to be honest. I can probably stag us right here. I’ve missed of course. Oh, I missed all my parries anyway. Whatever. Goodbye. Now it’s time for you to die. It has to be done. Shouldn’t have had such a good talisman on you. Beautiful. So that’s plus five decks and also like a multi-hit talisman rolled into one, which is pretty big for us. Let’s level up the cursed blade circ to plus six and then go fight Morgot. Okay, plus six. I don’t want to get it to plus 7. I feel like that’s too far. I want to see if I can get this Ash of War off cuz Morgot’s got such huge openings. Hopefully with the big stomp at the end, too. That’d be really sick. Regardless though, this should be pretty good. Like this got good deck scaling. Yeah, be already. And it comes with blood loss and we’ve got Milison’s prosthesis now. Like he’s going to get [ __ ] destroyed, I think. Can you get a free hit off here? I feel like you can. was made greedy. Jesus almost ran out of stamina. It is kind of surprising how much stamina these things use. Maybe that’s something they were trying to do with the DLC as a whole cuz there’s a lot of things in the DLC that are really stamina intensive or so weird. Oh my god, dude. He’s like pretty much dead. I got to see the sash of war though before he dies. I mean, I think I could have killed him right there if I’m being honest. Maybe here kick. Oh, it didn’t kill him. Wait, we can do it again. Oh. Oh, man. Wow. That’s like probably the fastest Morgot we’ve had. I don’t even know since when. That might be just the fastest Morgot we’ve had. That was so quick. Like he would have died pretty much on phase transition there if I didn’t hold back which is pretty insane. That is genuinely very impressive. Okay, let’s go to mountain tops. I’m thinking curs blades suck for Nile because the thing is with Nile is he does a lot of stalling and if you have some form of ranged attack, it’ll bait his really good attack that he’ll jump on you and actually engage with you in a fight. So hopefully cursblade sir is able to do that. So let me go level this thing up. I guess we can also use blind spot here too cuz it can eyeframe stuff. It It’ll make up for that one time where I used blind spot on Nile and didn’t realize that you could eye frame things. Plus 19 smith scripts suck. Damn, look at that deck scaling though on the Keen Fusion. That’s kind of insane. Okay. Yeah, we go with that for sure. Okay, let’s go find N. I’m pretty sure this also has a different unique guard counter which is kind of interesting. So maybe we’ll see that cuz I guess Nile has some pretty decent guard counterable attacks. Also, if you want to know how to do this skip, I made a little video about it. I will link it in the description. It is surprisingly easy, actually. Let’s go. You are my friend now. Very aggressive from this guy. Okay, that was actually more damage than I thought it would be. Did you see how it just missed with like while he was right here? Oh my god. Why do they do that? Oh, why do they go in like a huge arc that misses? Hey, this does does kind of counter him, though. Look at this range, though. It’s so bad. It’s really disappointing. This was the attack that I wanted to bait. So, I think we just need to R1 spam as well on basically any opening we have. It’s kind of the only good attack. Maybe I can guard counter this. What the [ __ ] was so goofy? That shit’s so goofy. Oh man, that’s so funny. Yeah. What do you think about that? Doesn’t like that. What do you think about this? Yeah. Can’t do anything about it. [ __ ] idiot. Okay, R1 spamming is still really good. Another huge guard counter. To be fair, it is kind of a lot of damage. It’s just really weird. Oh, you are dead. Yep. Wow. Smoked him. Okay, that was actually surprisingly good. I will say that was surprisingly good. But I mean, if we used either of the other ones, it would have been way better probably. I don’t know. I don’t know. Let’s go to consecrators. And we’re here. Okay, let’s go kill the Avatar. One of the other really weird things about Smithcript weapons though is that they don’t have damage fall off in the way that you’d expect them to, as in gradual decrease in damage proportional to distance. It’s like break points where after a certain distance, the damage suddenly drops off to zero. Like if you remember from a previous video I did where I used Mesma’s spear and I think it was on Morgot and I threw the spear at him from like a ways away and it did like 20 damage or something like ridiculously low. So yeah, that’s another problem with them which is crazy as well cuz they don’t even go that far to begin with or do much damage and they use like all of your stamina. Okay, bye-bye. There it is. That is pretty much all we want for the multiit setup. So, I guess we can pretty much go wherever we want now. I think I would like to beat Fire Giant to death with dash attacks. To be honest with you, that sounds quite good, especially considering they are going to mince him, I think. All right, let’s see it. Our first look at like close to full build dash attacks, which is I mean what I assume is kind of the best way to use this weapon. So, this should be really really good. Obviously, we’re only plus 18 or whatever, so we’re lacking some damage there. But in Fire Giant, you’re not really meant to be plus 25. It does quick break. I got to make sure I’m hitting the back of the foot cuz when you’re hitting the back, I didn’t get the dash tag. When you’re hitting the back, it hits the weak spot, even if you’re kind of too low down. So, obviously, we’re hitting kind of low. There’s a lot of damage right there. And there, too. The thorny crack here is so busted good. Not going to lie. We provide so much damage. Oh, what a welltimed saga. Oh my god. How did that not hit the eye? There’s no way. How did that not hit the eye, dude? [ __ ] you. I’m hitting you in the leg. Oh my god. I How did he do it so accurately? He dropped all the hot coals on my head, bro. I It’s like he could He was doing it on purpose. What the [ __ ] I guess that’s why you never go in and hit the leg. Jesus. Oh, the instant karma deserved, I guess. Big opening. Did that not hit the weak spot? cuz I swear we broke it at one last time. Oh my god, I keep not getting my dash attack. Oh, it’s okay. I’m fine. We’re fine. Okay, phase two this time. This time cleaner. Hopefully he staggers still. Oh my god, he must be so close. Maybe from that. Maybe from this. Maybe from this. Right in the dick. No. That’s such a shame. He must be literally like zero poise. Please do something I can punish. Thank you. H I keep accidentally doing a heavy attack. Maybe eye hits. I think it just doesn’t hit the eye. Like some attacks really struggle hitting the eye even when it looks like they should be able to. Oh my god. You see how much damage that just did. It’s crazy. And dead. Smoked him. That was obviously very very good though. Would have been even better if I got the stagger, but whatever. I guess that’s kind of the weakness of this. Dash attacks do very little poise damage really. At least it seems like they do. I feel like the play for godskin duro is kind of the obvious. It’s buff up and use the cursed blade circ of war and see whether we can script them with that. I really hope we can. It did look like pretty good damage on Morgot. Obviously, we didn’t get to see it very much, but it was hitting hard and now we’ve got all the multi-head stuff. It should be kind of disgusting. What I will do though is get winged sword insignia, I think, to buff the damage further. We’ll grab an additional buff and obviously we have commander standard as well from killing O’Neal. And then we will fight godskin duo. I guess we also want to get it to plus 10 as well. Do I remember how to do the good strats? Okay, I’m not even going to need to, am I? And you’re dead. Bye-bye. Yeah, there’s that. Okay, plus 10 cursed blades suck. Okay, that is everything. Let’s go fight God’s juror. He must be asleep off that. All right, rallying standard strength. Okay, here we go. Please work. Oh my god. Wow. That’s That’s quite some damage. Okay, with that damage, we may well be able to do them both at the same time. That’s crazy, actually. All right, here we go. Please work. Oh my god, I just whiffed it so hard. Ah, it’s kind of impossible to do it, I guess. Holy [ __ ] We would have killed him in one. Oh my god. Wait, are they alive? That’s crazy. I didn’t realize we were doing that much damage. We just one cycled them. Like effortlessly one cycled them, dude. What a monstrous weapon. Holy [ __ ] Okay, I got to use this more. I’m not sure where. I have to come up with something. It’s kind of a long attack is the only problem with it. But that’s so good. Okay, then let’s keep going to Malaketh. Malikth is kind of an interesting boss here. I think beast clergyman is probably very good for guard counters and then obviously Malikth himself is not so much cuz the destined death effect is going to go through our blocks. So I think maybe for phase two we swap to like blind spot or something but in phase one it’s definitely guard counters for sure. I guess we could use the cursed blade circ on as well actually. Probably be quite good there. All right huge bird skip incoming. That is a really massive hit on the end as well. Last time we did this pretty much effortlessly this time. Hopefully we’ll be the same. Good roll angle there. Yeah, it’s just it’s just easy. Oh, why don’t I just wait? Why don’t I just I’m so impatient. There we go. See, like Oh my god, man. It looks like I’m [ __ ] faking it. I think it’s just when I say it, the thought of me failing comes across my mind and then it throws me off. All right, let’s see this. So, this is guard counters phase one, blind spot phase two. I guess I’m just kind of dodge until the end of his combo and then deflect the last one like this. Yep, that works pretty well. Oh, wow. That is actually unbelievable. Oh man, I don’t know if I can blind spot on this attack. Probably not. Not that it matters. Jesus, dude. It’s just so much damage. Oh, he might just die here. Throwing his life away to be honest with you. Oh my god. When the multi ramps, bye-bye. Just absolutely melted him, dude. That is crazy that the guard counteratt attack stack isn’t too. What an absurdly good attack. Okay, where next? We obviously have a ton of DLC stuff to do. I kind of like going to Mellennia early though. Normally we go to Mellennia so late. I kind of like the idea of going to her early and I have some cool stuff to show for her this time cuz back blades are really [ __ ] good for Mellennia and curs blade sir specifically has cool stuff with ash of war. Also so much for blind spot on Malakth as well. Didn’t even get the chance to. So, we killed him so quickly with the dash attacks. Maybe we blind spot on Loretta. I think I also might go with a lightning infusion because she’s weak to lightning and obviously we have all this decks. So, it should be really good with lightning as well. It’d be better if I went and got the scorpion lightning scorpion charm, but I’m too lazy. I could go get the lightning tier and goodbye. Beautiful. Okay, let’s go fight Loretta. This should be pretty good. I need to actually remember to use it. We’re trying to use blind spot. Don’t kill the boss with the rest of your attacks when you’re trying to use blind spot. That was maybe a little bit early. Probably should have done it on the bit you can actually punish. It’s just too many things in my brain to process at once. Fighting the boss without just turning your brain off. Literally impossible. Oh, what the [ __ ] That was super weird. Okay. Can I get something that I can punish with blind spot? That works. That works, too. Let’s try this again. [Music] I am out of stam. Okay. What are you doing? She doesn’t realize she’s next to a wall. I guess we can just spam it. Oh, you can spam really fast. Oh my god. Okay, wait. New strat unlocked. Pressing the buttons more. Oh, that would have been cool. No death. Oh yeah, just [ __ ] on. It is a really cool actual war. I didn’t realize you could use it this quickly as well. Wow, you can really like throw them out there very fast. Actually, it is kind of weird to get used to, though. And I still don’t feel like I’m properly able to control where I’m going with it is the one concerning thing. Uh, no way. That is the one annoying thing about the Sminous Spear is it does like to just slam into the wall directly in front of you. Okay, millennia time. So, I have a couple of very cool things to show here. Hoping I remember them correctly. I might have to consult my own [ __ ] shorts actually to remember exactly what I was doing on the cursed blade sir. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I remember I remember remember. So there’s a couple of things that are really really good about a blades on Millennia. So yeah, the big thing is this running heavy which is like already probably the best thing to use on this weapon combos into an R1 like that. And then also specifically on the cursed sir, the Ash of War is really really good. If she’ll give me an opening to use it, she won’t. And she’s also all the way on the edge of the [ __ ] arena. Come here. And also the other thing with the dash tag is it’s so quick. So you can get it in in these smaller bangs. And like this combo kind of does a lot of poise damage, too. And obviously it stacks multi hits super fast with this weapon. It procs bleed really fast and she’s phase two already. Okay, we will be able to get the Ash war off here though at least. So yeah, in any larger opening on Millennia, you can use the Ash of War on this thing. Although you can’t do the kick part, which is kind of a shame. Do it here as well. But it’s still really good though because it stacks multi head so quickly. It’s so many times in a row. Easy. Guess we didn’t even see a water foul in phase one. It’s a little bit of a shame that she’s done like basically zero large openings for me to get deadly dance off, but whatever. Yeah. See, it looks like you could do the kick, but trust me, I’ve tested it. You can’t. Wait, I forgot I could do it. That was probably not safe. Bye-bye. It’s really, really good for her to be honest. Even better if you just stick with the dash attack into R1 combo, but it’s also very cool that Deadly Dance is like an actually usable Ash of War on this boss. Another insanely quick Mellennia as well. It’s kind of sad cuz I want to fight her more. Okay, where do we go from here? Probably back to the DLC. I suppose something I’m kind of curious about is how the R1 spam looks on this actually because every time we’ve kind of defaulted into it, it’s been really really strong. The only thing is having large enough openings to get a lot of R1’s off and stack the multi- hit is kind of difficult, but obviously we have Messma here. Oh, also we’re doing slash damage here, which Mema is weak too, so this should be really, really, really good. It’s also very nice that we don’t need to worry about Hornscent for once. Here we go. I’m fairly certain he’s going to get destroyed. I forgot to crack blade. Do you think I have time off the start? Probably don’t. Oh my god. Just about. Wa. Okay, that was interesting. I thought I was far enough behind him so that he wouldn’t do that attack. Oh. Oh my god. That I think that would have sent him into phase two. We didn’t even see a thrust drive. I got to reset this for sure. Oh my god, dude. That’s just so absurd. Wow. We might have actually found the new new matter. I got to quit out. He will die on the next hit for sure. That is crazy good damage. Is that really necessary? Here we go. Oh, how much was that? 11,000. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And then just just keep going. The rolling attack is such a good opener on it, too, cuz it comes out so [ __ ] fast. Oh, you were dead. Bye-bye. Just absolutely smoked him. Yes, light attack spam is incredibly good on this weapon. That might be the best way to use it. I don’t know. The dash attacks are super good, though. Okay, who’s next? I’m honestly kind of happy to just keep heading down the critical path and go Romina next. Shackle. What’s the plan for Romina, you might be asking? It’s called hitting her till she dies. Ever heard of it? Didn’t think so. I might throw on the cursed blade circ though in my off hand just so I can maybe keep up poise damage by tossing a projectile at her when she stos. Kind of just a classic. It’s kind of just backhand blades on Ramina. And you know what? It’s still a lot of damage. Not if you miss half of your hits there, but the rest of the time. Whoa. What the [ __ ] just happened? Oh, come on, man. Maybe this is where we Oh, yes. Beautiful. Thank you. Cursb blade suck. A valiant attempt. Hey, this is phase transition. See, I know. I’m watching. Eyes are on the health bar cuz I know she’s a sneaky bastard. Oh, what a jump attack. Maybe this is where. Get him. Yes. Poise damage maintained. That’s huge. You already know that’s huge. Stagger incoming most likely. Come on. Huge stagger. How are you not staggered? They removed staggering from the game. I think must be what it is. Did that seriously miss as well? Oh, after all that. [ __ ] you. How do you not stagger? Oh, that was super weird. And now she’s just And now she’s just stalling. Worst day ever. How did that one miss? Dude, the range on this on the spcript weapons is just terrible sometimes. All right, goodbye. Stupid bug. It is really shocking how bad the range is on this. Like it actually goes 5 m in front of you. I really like how this guy runs. It reminds me of something. I just don’t remember what it is. So good though, right? Oh, the forward stance. He’s so excited to go look out into the like what even is he looking at? The repeating texture. Okay, here we go. First try bird skip for sure this time. All that practicing that I haven’t done. Oh my god. Get up there. This part might actually be the most annoying bit. I mean, it’s just like you think by this point I would have figured out very consistent way to do it. I think I I probably like every time I come back to it, I figure out the lineups again and then forget them by the time we we’re back here. To be fair though, I did get it in like two tries. So, that was actually pretty good. Okay, letter time. So, running heavies do tend to be a fairly good strategy against NPCs anyway. So, it probably makes sense to just stick with that. And we can also buff too, so that’s nice. You can double back when she starts talking and then run out here and it skips her longass monologue, by the way. Wow. Okay, that was actually like really impressive. I’m not going to lie. I’m shocked. It just mashed him like that. Love to see an Natan though. Oh God, that is so much damage. Do not let her heal. Beautiful. Oh my god, that was like the fastest letter ever. [ __ ] was over instantly. Beautiful. I’m kind of feeling like blind spot is a really good call for PCR cuz it does pierce damage which she’s weak to. And also I feel like I should be able to use it a lot. I have used it on Gradan a bit before actually, just a small amount and I’m pretty sure I could use it like really often. I don’t know. I didn’t do that much testing and that was pre knowing it has eye frames. So, I think I think it could be quite good. If we’re going to do that though, I should go get Alexander Shard quickly, so give me a second. Oh, you know what? While we’re right here, let’s grab the lightning scorpion charm. Beautiful. Okay, lightning damage test. Lightning damage test on the magma worm. Oh yeah, that’s pretty good damage. Not sure why I’m doing a charge heavy. Damn. Oh my god. He’s probably dead. Yep. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lightning damage is insane, dude. So good. I mean, having a second physic tier that gives you more damage. And obviously the flat 15 from Scorpion is really strong. They love forcing you to be the bad guy in this game. They love putting you in a position where to play the game, you have to do something that you probably morally disagree with. Obviously, it’s a game, but you know what I mean? Like a lot of these situations, the only way to do something that isn’t kind of [ __ ] up is to not play the game at all. Surely I dodged this. Okay, I actually did. Goodbye. Like, obviously, it’s not cruel to give him like a warrior’s death. Maybe it’s cruel to do that, but you know, you don’t have to do that. But like the non cruel thing would to just be not fighting him at all. You know what I mean? Okay. Anyway, let’s go fight PCR. So, I’m hoping that I can use the eye frames on blind spot quite a lot to dodge stuff and punish, especially since it’s pretty fast. Okay. I probably could have done it there actually. Maybe here. Yep. Look at that. And I could probably get an extra hit in there. I definitely kind of don’t think it makes sense here. That’s a lot of damage, too. Okay, maybe here. Nice. Oh, okay. Okay, so you can’t get an extra hit in there, though. That was immediately promising, though. Also, I kind of think I figured out how to control blind spot properly. I think you just need to hold like direct right or direct left when you’re locked on and then it’ll actually go in the direction you want it to go instead of just kind of messing you around. Maybe I can do it here. Oh, I think it’s should be fast enough for that. Okay, we’re definitely going to reset this, but I would like to test as much as I can. Okay, maybe I maybe I can’t control it properly. Not so shocking, I suppose. Maybe here. Oh, yeah. And it’s fast enough to not be unsafe. That’s so good. Oh, dude, that is so good. Okay, hold on. We’re going to quit out cuz I want a clean kill. This is sick, though. This is actually really, really cool. I bet you get some counter hits in here as well. Maybe I can just do two there. Oh yeah, dude. That’s so nice. It could have easily been too slow for that, too. Jesus. Okay, that’s still just like an insane amount of damage. I guess some of these uh it’s in the R1 combo, too, are also pierce damage, but they should be. Okay. That looked so early. Wait, that was definitely a counter hit. Do you see how much damage that was? It’s like 3,000 damage. My god, there’s dash attacks though. Oh, I totally could have done a blind spot there. Uh, I have space here surely if I run directly into the corner. Yeah, we’re fine. I’m going to reposition him there, though. Okay, we’re fine. That looked a little scary. I kind of don’t like being here. I’m not going to lie. Oh, no way, man. Bad roll, I guess. Oh, I want to reset it so bad. But it’s such a bad habit to resell everything. Beautiful. Okay. Well, I probably messed this up anyway somehow. Nope. Never mind. Yeah. I mean, clearly dash attacks are the way to go. Actually, maybe not. I don’t know. Cuz it’s not like you can’t use them. And we are doing an insane amount of damage per blind spot here. I can’t believe I got hit on that combo, dude. Would have been so easy to not. Okay, very lucky that Oh, wait. Actually, I might be dead here. Never mind. He might be dead, though. Like literally one more hit. I got to finish it with a blind spot, right? Here he comes. That was so sick, dude. Oh my god, that was so [ __ ] good. That’s like a perfect solution for Adon. It’s so good. His weakest damage type perfectly fits in to punish his openings. Doesn’t use much stamina. It’s super strong. Okay, who’s next? You know, considering that pierce damage being so good there, we could take it to Bale next and do a similar thing. Bale is also very weak to pierce, although I have a feeling I might kind of have a difficult time not accidentally killing myself using blind spot, especially since I fight Bale locked off, but we’ll give it a shot. We’ll see. Like, it should be a [ __ ] ton of damage, too. It should be really, really good. Oh, I had an interesting idea as well for how we will pick the next weapon class. What I want to do is ask you guys to comment what weapon class you want and then I’ll put all the suggestions on a wheel and then I’ll spin the wheel and then obviously things are going to get commented multiple times so they’ll be placed on the wheel multiple times so there’s a higher chance that that will get picked. I think that would be kind of kind of interesting. I don’t know if that’s what I’ll do every time. We’ll see how it goes. But it would be fun to see what wins when it’s like sort of weighted according to popularity cuz a lot of the time when I do the poll obviously I’m picking the things on the poll. I guess when I do that though, I could end up with some horrible weapon class. I could be forced to do bows straight away or something. Don’t don’t type bows in the comments. Also, the other thing is with the polls is I can never tell what the hell is going to win. I feel like I have no understanding of what is and isn’t super popular because every time the pole is a landslide on a weapon class that I didn’t think was going to win like this time, you know, backand blades didn’t seem like a option that was going to lose for sure, but it didn’t seem like it was necessarily definitely going to win like it did. Same with the previous time curve great swords. So yeah, comment the weapon class you’d want to see. I’ll put all the comments on a wheel. I’m going to spin the wheel and then check the community posts. I’ll probably post like what thing one shortly after this video comes out. Okay, let’s go. I’m trying to think in my mind of what things are going to work for blind spot here. I mean, obviously we could just throw it out in the normal large openings and it’ll be easy, but I want to try and use the eye frames. [ __ ] I can never get the opening hit, dude. Like, what about here? Okay, obviously not like that. Obviously here. Yep. That’s a pretty big hit. I feel like on stuff like this, there’s a decent chance. Jesus, dude. Okay, the thing is about that right there, like that specific situation, um, is obviously I didn’t go at the angle I intended to. And the problem is in phase two, obviously there’s a a line of lightning after that attack. Okay, man. Come on. Don’t do me like that. It is quick enough to get it in there. Wow, that was a very fast phase, too. Actually, like in theory, his hand slams are like the ideal time for it, but I just don’t know if I can consistently control the direction I’m going, which is really annoying. Nice. Go here. Oh, that’s very sketchy. Okay. What a freak. Uh, the little What? What was the adjustment took so long? Oh, it locked onto the head. Oh my god. See, that’s the sort of thing I’m talking about. Also, that was a gigantic head shot. I guess this does like no poise damage as well cuz we’ve not been getting staggers. Kind of makes up for it though by hitting incredibly hard. See, that’s what I wanted to do. And that’s a counter hit. I think did a hell of a lot of damage if it wasn’t. See, you remembering to look for lightning. I feel like I’m a lot better at that now for some reason. I don’t feel like I should be, but I just am. Oh my god, man. Okay, scary attack. Haven’t dodged this in a while. Beautiful. See, that’s why I’m the goat. Oh, I might be the worst to ever do it. Oh my god. Wait, why did that do so much damage? It’s been a very long time since I’ve bought a lot of veil, to be honest. So, I’m a little out of practice as you can tell. Oh my god, bro. Okay. All right, man. I clank on terrain in this arena. That’s just unbelievable. What sort of This is like This has become Oh my god. The greed was insane. I made such a terrible obvious mistake and then got away with it somehow. Beautiful. Oh, I thought I could do more. Why could I do more the other time? Ah. Ah. Ah. Oh, beautiful. And the counter hit for sure. It’s so good at doing that as well. Yep. That’s actually really nice there on that punish. Not going to lie. Beautiful. Maybe big slam. Nope. More blind spots. Can I do it twice? Yes, I can. Oh my god, that’s so good there. That is like perfect. Oh my god, dude. He threw me around so much. I was in such a weird spot. Big double hit. You’re trolling me. Okay, I haven’t messed it up yet. Surely I don’t mess it up. Beautiful. I forgot to do the good dash tag. Okay. Still no stagger, by the way, which is just insane to me. Oh, okay. Speak of the devil. Oh, you are the most dead guy who’s ever died. 9,000 damage combo. Holy. You wouldn’t think that this would be a good bail weapon. You’d really wouldn’t think it would be good, but blind spot makes it so so insane. I mean, obviously the dash attack was kind of doing more damage there, but he does arm slams constantly, and having an option that strong for it where it’s also counter hitting is invaluable, basically. Okay, who do we have left? Dancing Lion, Rana, Midra, and Putrescent. I think that’s everyone. Oh, Shadow Tree Avatar. I did have an idea for Rana. I think she would be a pretty good guard counter boss. And obviously, we have a really good uh lightning damage setup as well, which is very ideal for her. And we’re probably doing a lot of pierce damage, which she’s also weak to. Okay, here we go. I guess in phase two though, she does have elemental damage. I probably should have done that done it there actually. [ __ ] Oh, I I keep not Okay, that was not the best first attempt. Need to remember to actually block and then also not miss the timing. It’s such a struggle. My muscle memory like really wants to just take over off the rip. Beautiful. Oh, no way. That’s an absolutely absurd amount of damage. Okay, hold on. Oh, hold on. Did you see that first guard counter? That’s just unreal. That’s unreal. That was like a third of her health bar in a single attack. This is no buffs. That is unbelievable, actually. Let’s see this again. I thought this was going to be good. I definitely didn’t think it was going to be this good. This kind of blows everything we’ve ever used on Rana out of the water. I forgot to do it. Wow. Even without it, it’s good. She wasn’t standing in water there, though. She’s going to go face two. I got to get at least one one more guard counter. Yep, there it is. Oh. Oh, she’s dead. She is just completely dead. Wow. Yeah, that’s the best Rana we’ve ever seen. It’s not even close. That’s crazy, man. I can’t believe that we’ve had so many really strong builds for her, too. Okay, maybe we go dancing lion next. I kind of think cursed blade sir would be interesting here cuz we’d be able to get the ash of war off fairly comfortably on a couple of openings I believe. Hopefully we can do some like Attack on Titan [ __ ] where we Ash of War all the way down his body. Oh, by the way, I always forget to say this, but supposedly it really helps. If you aren’t subscribed, you should subscribe and possibly like the video. I feel like there is a nonzero chance here that when trying to do the Ash of War, we will just whiff and miss horribly. Uh but hopefully not. Like this should be able to get all the hits off right on some of these openings. Like if we get the um what do I even call it? Corkcrew attack where he goes in the air and then this one right here. Like maybe we go here and get a running attack again and get hit because I’m an idiot. Awesome. There goes our opening. So good from me. Oh, how how even how how it’s actually like a superhuman ability to clank on everything in this arena. This couldn’t be more flat. That’s That is actually unbelievable. I didn’t think that was possible. Okay, maybe we can do it here. Okay. Yeah, you can’t get the kick. That was a lot of damage, though. Okay, I’m definitely recessing. If we can get the kick off, that’ll be really sick. You know what else we can do actually to push this even further? We could get the uh the stomp talisman because that does buff the kick at the end of the ash of war. Okay. Shattered stone talisman. Yeah. So the kick is already like a very very big hit. Now it should be even bigger. We’re still looking for the corkcrew. I think we tried it on this one. It didn’t really work. But maybe I was just too late. Oh my god. Okay. Yeah, that was a very big kick and we missed like half of the starting part which means we didn’t stack our multi gear properly. Okay, here we go. I Oh my god, dude. Come on, man. No way. I got to reset this, though. I can’t believe that. Like, where was it aiming? I think I have to free aim it, to be honest. I think locking on [ __ ] me up there. Okay, here we go. No. What do you mean, man? No. How did it miss? Okay, we go. We go. We go. Surely I remember how to do this. Oh, there it is. The big kick. Holy [ __ ] Yeah, that’s what I wanted to see. That was so much damage. Wonder how much that was actually in a single hit. Oh man. Oh, there’s the bleed, too. You are dead for sure. And I Okay. Insane to be making a mistake on that of all things after such a clean lightning phase, too. I want to kill him with the kick or something. Like maybe I can time it. If he did phase transition, maybe I could land the kick just after he comes down. No. What do you mean? [ __ ] Oh. Okay. Okay. Maybe here. Kick. Oh, I’m too far away. Yeah, I kind of need to drink. I can do it. I promise. Oh, it’s so close, dude. Here we go. It didn’t kill. No way. It’s kind of an early roll. Wait, maybe we can do it here. Oh, my kick is better than yours, actually. That’s crazy. What a cinematic end, dude. My friends told me I sounded like the QBblecop AI the other day and now every time I’m saying anything that’s like commentary. I keep thinking about it. It’s like gotten into my head. I feel like I’m talking like the QB cop AI. It’s pissing me off, man. Okay, who do we have left? Midracent Shadow Tree Avatar. Honestly, I feel like it doesn’t matter what we do on Shadow Tree Avatar, so I’m just going to go kill him. Okay, here we go. One dead tree coming up. Oh, that is okay. That was not good. He is not supposed to do that attack. Oh yeah. Yeah, that’s pretty good damage. That’s actually very good damage to be honest. I mean, phase one has like a very small amount of health, but even so, that is the sort of damage I’d expect out of like an okay fire damage weapon. Definitely not lightning. Deck builds really are just so disgustingly strong in this game. I feel like a lot of that is kind of just multihit tier though or just multi-hit stuff and how many multihit things you can stack. That was weird. Just walked into me for a while. Oh my god. Oh, why did I not roll? So trash. and dead. Very nice. Okay, easy. Dead in one rotation surely. [Music] Nope. At point blank. What is happening? Okay. What is actually going on? He just did a ranged attack at point blank and then just did the next attack without looking at me. Freaky ass AI. [ __ ] stupid boss, man. I actually do wonder what was going on there. Maybe I got like a stored attack or something. That is really weird. Concerning for my consistency at this boss. Okay, I think we go put next and then we do Midra last. Midra is going to get deleted by this by the way cuz it does slash damage which he’s weak to. Putresent probably will also get deleted. I think maybe the way to go is to get like shared order or something and then do a lightning infusion with it cuz we did that before I think where we went sacred blade with a lightning infusion and it worked really really really well. It would probably also make sense to go with jump attacks. I wanted to use them somewhere but jump attacks do make a lot of sense for Petress cuz he has a lot of stuff that’s jumpable. Okay, we are here. I’m going to grab the jump attack cloak quickly. Okay, there’s the cloak. I also wanted to grab sacred order. Beautiful. Okay, you trust in time. Oh, you already know this animation’s about to look super goofy. Yep. Why is he holding it like that? Okay, this is the first time that we’re actually going to like focus on the jump attacks cuz up until this point, I mean, I seriously got hit by that. I think I rolled super early. You know what? No, we can’t open like that. We can’t can’t let that set the tone of the fight. What I was saying is that most of the time when we’ve used jump attacks up until this point, it’s just been something I’ve thrown out when it’s convenient. We haven’t actually like really paid attention to it. I’m pretty sure they’ve been doing decent damage though the whole time. We had that one jump attack on Bale that for some reason did like a million again. Really? That’s interesting. Two of these back to back is so weird. Okay. Can I get like real attacks now? Yes. Thank you. Okay. [Music] Yeah. I mean, they seem to be doing quite well. Not like unbelievable though, obviously. Oh my god. Okay. What the [ __ ] happened there? I mean, that must have been like some weird double hit thing, right? That’s crazy though. That must have been what happened on Bale. It’s just so much damage. I think you can jump this too. Oh, that would have been so nice. That would have been such a slick way to end it. And you’re dead. Okay. Yeah, that’s really really good. What the hell happened on that hit? I just don’t understand. It must have been a double hit. Maybe it was also a counter hit or something because you know there’s like a third of his health in a single attack. All right, final DLC boss Midra. Now this might be the most straight up just [ __ ] hit the boss until it dies. There is because honestly Backhand blades as they are like they couldn’t be better suited for Midra. He is very weak to slash damage and they do slash damage and their timings work out really really well for how large his openings are. And that’s like me speculating even. I don’t think I’ve ever actually used these on Midra which is how good they are. It’s like it’s so obviously good that I can tell just based on the, you know, what we’ve been seeing so far. Uh, uh, Team Fortress 2 Spies shortly after the release of The Dead Ringer. Yeah, only real Fort Heads will get that one. Oh, wow. Looks lot of huge woods we have. Thank god we go. Uh, I played the new Battlefield, which is probably the most fun I’ve had in like a shooter where you respawn since Titanfall 2. I mean, I don’t think it holds a candle to Titanfall 2 cuz that’s like, you know, probably one of the best movement shooters ever made, but it’s still pretty good. Like, I’m It’s definitely fun. I guess I haven’t really watched anything. I watched Bismouth’s video explaining the world record history of Donkey Kong 64. That was cool. I like it when the people who make videos about speedrunning talk about the game that they play. I watched Pan and Co’s Invisible Wolves video again. I’ve watched it like three times at this point. And the other video he put out recently was the one button challenge or something. Everything Pan and Co makes is incredibly wellmade. It’s so well edited. so well scripted and thought out and explained in detail, but also building up these very complicated concepts about Mario 64 in a way that can be understood even by me, which is quite an amazing feat to be able to do and make engaging. I don’t know if it’s necessarily the hardest thing in the world to sort of get someone to the point where they understand it, but to do that and also have it be interesting enough and engaging enough that it still feels like entertainment and not sitting in a classroom is very impressive really. And then on top of that, I’m constantly in awe by how well edited his videos are and how he I mean, he obviously has such incredible mastery over the tools that are available for Mario 64. Like if you watch that invisible walls video for example, he literally has taken the time to go into the game and highlight every section where there’s an invisible wall and like draw them out in game, which is just so sick. And I feel like it hits especially hard considering how much time I’ve spent with the Elder Ring camera tools to get all the free cam shots that I do. I know how even with tools that are like specifically designed to work with the game, it can still be like really difficult to get the stuff that you want and still takes a really long time to do it. So, I can’t even imagine how much time that invisible walls video took to make. It’s just an insane project. You should go watch Pan and Co’s videos is my point, I guess. Okay, we are here. Let’s see this really simple slash damage fast weapon. It should melt Midra for sure. Competing with the top spot for how good this is against Midra. At least I hope so. Oh yeah. Like absolutely. Holy [ __ ] That’s a very fast phase, too. I kind of ran too early there. Oh, I rolled the wrong way. Oh, I read the attack totally wrong, man. That’s what happens when you run slightly too early. You get a stored attack, stored ranged attack. I probably could have done at least one extra hit there. Jump attack. Oh my god. Really? Come on now. That is such an early phase two. Cannot be going phase two that early. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Actually getting a stagger. That’s crazy. I don’t think the backup blades have ever had a stagger before. He’s going to die. He’s just dead 100%. Yep. Jesus. Was that less than a minute? Yeah, but absolutely right. That was absolutely less than and it was like 30 seconds. The Midra speedrun. I think we already kind of knew what was going to happen there cuz it was just obvious. It’s so good for midrow on paper. There was no way it was going to be anything less than that. It’s a nice way to end off the DLC. I didn’t do meta. I never do meta. If you want to know why, go watch my level one DLC boss analysis video. Even if you don’t want to know why, go watch it anyway. So, I spent a lot of time on it. Okay, back to the base game. I am going to do now before I forget. I definitely said I wanted to go with curslade suck here. I still don’t feel super confident on this boss. Like I still feel like I need to do a few more hours of practice and then it’ll be there. But at the moment, you know, I can’t in my head imagine exactly what I do with every attack and like predict what he’s doing in advance and stuff like that. And like I’m really confident on the positioning so that I wouldn’t even have to think about it anymore. Also like what am I doing here? I don’t know the timing on that nearly well enough. I almost forgot that too. It’s also been a little while since I’ve actually done any practice on Classy. I wish he wouldn’t give me such horrible RNG though. Like he’s just he’s just stalling me out a bit. That’s doing a lot of damage to be fair. Okay, this is what we wanted to see though. Should be able to get off like probably a couple of Ashes. Like one here. Jesus Christ. What was that backstep? Okay. And another one. Stop. No way. He just does the same attack again, right? Okay, he didn’t. What is he doing? Wing. Huge war. Yep. These openings are so big, dude. I’m not talking cuz I don’t want to mess it up. Good dodge. That was not right, I don’t think. Okay, here we go. I’m pretty sure we go in on this. What is he even doing? Oh [ __ ] Is this No way. It’s laser already. No, it’s triple. The hell is he doing? It’s being so weird. Did I just clank on his body? Okay, comes from this side. That one looks a lot scarier than it actually is. I really wish he would do the really good opening though. Did it at the start. It’s like three Ashes of War. It’s this bit that I’m like slightly Well, I’m just not super confident with when he starts teleporting. First of all, I feel like I have trouble tracking him when he does it. But secondly, I’m like not totally confident on what he’s going to do and when I can approach when I need to roll. This must be um laser. Yeah. Okay. Good roll. All right, here we go. This is where we see it. 65 kicks. I missed. I need more stam. Dead. No. [ __ ] you. You lived on one health, dude. That was pretty good. The kick hits were massive, but I can’t say it was like unbelievable really. It probably would have been more just spamming like light attack or running heavy. We also didn’t see a bleed. I mean, this has really low bleed build up, but we hit so many times that I would have thought we’d get one at least. Okay, onwards to the final three bosses. Let’s honestly just kick Gideon in the head. Kick. No way, man. Oh my god. I’ve never seen him do that. Continue. Okay, thank god. Two hits with the star. That’s crazy. If only he did that every time, this fight wouldn’t be so obnoxious. He’s kind of sick of my [ __ ] I guess. He’s like, I know you’re going to just keep hitting me as I try and roll away. Smack you over the head. Okay, you know what? We have literally used the Smith script circ once. We should use it again for Horu. I think I probably still want to go with a jump attack build just because they tend to be really, really good against him. Also, if you notice that swift slash is like omitted from this video. I tested it before. I believe it was on the Dex run. It’s very obviously a PvE thing and not a PvP thing. It was like immediately obvious that it wasn’t going to have good applications in PvE. I could be wrong about that and somebody’s going to be like it’s really good for this one specific thing, but it doesn’t seem like I’m missing out on much if anything. The jump attack does throw, doesn’t it, as well? Yeah, that’s so goofy. There’s no way this is going to be good. I kind I wish it was good, though. Like, it’s cool. I wish my weapons weren’t so bad. [Music] Okay, that’s it’s not bad damage. Certainly not bad. Why did it do a different amount that time though? Or maybe multi- bit or maybe it’s like uh it hits more than once if you hit like if you’re close enough to him. Also, I think it’s messing with his AI. I guess we’ll see how it is locked off as well. Okay, that was a lot of damage right there. Uhoh, I didn’t turn in time. That sucks. And there’s no way we can hit it from out here, right? Nope. See if I can remember this well enough. Okay, this opening few jump attacks. huge. God damn it. Oh, I guess I can Ow. Guess I can hit head shot, too. Oh. Oh my god. I thought they were going to track and hit him in the air. That would have been so cool. Goodbye. Oh, that would have been so [ __ ] sick. That’s a shame. That was pretty good, though. I mean it wasn’t obviously it’s like pales in comparison to the other two but it definitely wasn’t bad which you know with smith script weapons I kind of think of them as just being bad so maybe this is one of the better ones cuz definitely on like I don’t know smith script daggers for example you need an ash of war cuz without it the damage is just garbage. Okay final two bosses normally I like to go with the strongest thing and this time is no different. I feel like it has to be the lightning infusion regular backhand blades. They are just so disgustingly good. I’m fairly sure they’re going to be a lot worse on Ratagon though cuz he’s resistant to lightning. Most importantly though, this is going to be disgustingly good for Elden Beast cuz he’s in water. So, the lightning damage is going to get a bonus. We aren’t going to get a stagger here either. Surely I can get away with that. Okay, it’s not going to matter that we won’t get a stagger. Look at that damage. Holy resistant to lightning, by the way. Jesus, man. That’s crazy. I shouldn’t be able to do that to him on something he’s resistant to. That’s just nonsense. Should be extremely good here as well. Should be even better here. Actually, it really is like the only thing. Wow, dude. That was a light attack. That was a jumping light attack right there. What was it? What I was saying is the only thing this weapon doesn’t have going for it is poise damage. Like literally everything else about it is so strong. Whoa. I’m like stuck in his body. We’re fine. No, no, no, no, no, no. Die. Beautiful. [ __ ] your stars, dude. Just a quick like 10,000 damage combo. So easy. That was fun, man. This is a good one. This is just like a really really strong weapon class. Like strong decks weapon. Smoked the whole game. I can’t think of a single time it actually struggled. even in early game. Like the Moog was really good, too. Yeah, I I can’t think of a time it struggled. It’s just an insanely good weapon. Comment what you want the next weapon class I cover to be and I’ll put them on the wheel and I’ll spit it. And then check community posts. There’ll probably be something like a couple days after the video comes out saying what the next one is. If you made it this far in the video, press all the buttons down below. I really appreciate it. Look at all the lovely members on screen right here. I will see you very, very soon in the next one. Thank you for watching. Bye. [Music] [Music]
