Black Ops 7 Zombies DLC 2 Nuketown/Alpha Omega Remakes Leaked (BO7 Season 2 Nuketown Survival Map)
Apparently, New Town Zombies and potentially some sort of incorporation of Alpha Omega may be returning as a remake remaster inside of Black Ops 7 zombies. So, this is a rumor coming from the Ghost of Hope. And like with all leaks and rumors, of course, take it with a grain of salt. And to be honest, I don’t even really know what to say about this rumor. It’s come out of such a left field and so unexpected. But I have to say, if this rumor is true, I don’t think this is what the community really needs right now. Astra Malorum looks extremely extremely good, especially aesthetically wise with the skybox and everything, but it does look like a relatively small map. So assuming New Town would probably come later considering it’s just leaked now. Two relatively small to mediumsiz maps back to back is probably not the best way to start off the DLC cycle. We’ve started off with a bang with Ashes of the Dams, one of the best zombies maps we’ve ever gotten in pretty much the entire Dark Ether saga. It’s so much larger and has so much more depth and atmosphere than so many maps that we’ve gotten in so long. So, apparently, New Town Zombies is going to be a survival experience. So, essentially, there’s going to be a main map, which sounds like it’s going to be something like Alfa Omega, but I don’t think it’s just going to be an Alpha Omega remake or remaster. It doesn’t really make any sense for the Dark Ether timeline. It may just be loosely inspired on Alpha Omega. And the reason why I say that is because obviously Alfa Omega has a lot of very specific things that just do not make sense for where the story line is currently at with us being fully inside of the dark ether. I highly doubt we would see an Avagadro boss again or we would have the elemental ray gun marks as the wonder weapons considering we just had them on Shattered Veil. So I would have to assume there would be an entirely brand new quest. There would maybe even be some new areas, a completely different wonder weapon, etc. But this is probably going to be Ricktoffin’s map because Nuke Town Nevada, it’s all about Rick Toffen. It’s literally Camp Edward. And according to the rumors, we will not be seeing the rumored overrun nuke Nazi New York map. So it would make sense for this to be in its place. And considering the fact that Rtophin has quotes in the game where he talks about splitting the atom, etc., it seems like TR is still running with this idea. And it’s literally New Town. So, this could be the spot from Rigtoin’s home universe where the Nazis mass-produced these nuclear bombs that they potentially went on to nuke New York with to help win the war for the Reich in this alternative timeline where the Nazis and the Axis powers won World War II. So, I think a Nazi New Town would be a lot more interesting concept than the original watered down, if you would say, Alpha Omega. I split your skull as easily as I did the atom itself. There’s an atom bomb when you need one. That splits their atoms. Anywhere I go is ground zero. I me a weapon of mass destruction. So I assume the map would be a lot more about that than anything to do with Alfa Omega’s initial story line with the APD, Avagadro, etc. It’s all going to be probably completely unrelated to that because we’re from a different timeline. that’s going to be completely different to the original and not in a broken cycle either. The context is all going to be very different. And really, the only similarity is going to be the location and just the general theme of New Town, the actual town itself, as well as the bunkers. Flow-wise, it’s going to be completely different, which I don’t think this is bad by any means. Actually, I think that Alpha Omega is not a great zombies map at all. It just doesn’t play well mechanically, gameplaywise, or anything. And especially in Black Ops 4, people were waiting for Ether to return for so long and for it to return with just remakes. People got extremely burnt out by that. So I think there is an opportunity here to do a new town or expanded New Town once again like Alfa Omega, but it actually be good gameplay-wise. But Alpha Omega had really good radios and lore. So I don’t think it can ever compete with that. But hopefully this version of an expanded New Town can be a lot more streamlined and actually play well gameplaywise. Now, I would assume we can go within the bunkers, etc., just like we could on the original Alpha Omega, but like I say, maybe the layout isn’t going to be exactly the same. And now that we’re getting survival experiences, of course, the survival maps are not just going to be from Ashes of the Damned. Some of them are going to be portioned off from the DLC map. So, it makes complete sense for us to see New Town zombies. And in fact, I’ve seen so many people in the community asking for new town zombies in this game, considering it’s basically a Black Ops 2 successor. And Ashes of the Damned is a spiritual successor of Transit. So maybe this is what we’re going to be seeing with Alpha Omega quote unquote coming back. It might not really be a just straight up remake. It’s just going to be a spiritual successor where we might be able to expand on some of the areas that the original New Town expanded upon with Alpha Omega, like the bunkers or like the outside areas, but it’s going to be a bit reformatted. And then of course they can just release the center area, the actual New Town experience as a survival map. That would be a lot of fun. And I don’t know why they didn’t do this with Black Ops 4 initially. They literally had it pretty much there ready to go and they could have just released as a survival experience and for some reason they didn’t and we might just be seeing it brought back all of these years later, but people thought it was so much fun back in the day. So yeah, I’m sure lots of people will have a lot of fun just playing New Town Survival. To be honest, the original Alpha Omega just played terribly with all of the different Nova Crawlers and the weird thing you had to do with the gas. I can’t even remember. Honestly, I barely played the map. But I think all of that nonsense is going to be stripped for this one and it should have a pretty cool quest as well and it could still tie into the backstory of the map towards this New York setting even if it’s not an actual map we get to see. The last thing I want to say is it’s been rumored that a remake would be coming for Black Ops 7 zombies for a while but no one really guessed New Town. I mean there was a few people saying it but lots of people were saying Mob of the Dead. I was even seeing some people saying Shadows of Evil because Widow’s Wine is rumored to return. But people were thinking more so of a bigger map, not a smaller map like this. But this is completely fine because according to the rumors, there’s going to be five DLC maps. So, we would still be getting the regular four other DLC maps that would be completely brand new. And I think the map is still going to basically be be brand new. Yes, it’s a remake, but like I say, I think it’s going to be more of a thematic remake. It’s not going to be exactly the same as Alpha Omega. I think it’ll be radically different with just some similarities and the general layout being the same, but the quest, the Easter eggs, all of that is going to be the story line, all of that is going to be very different. Now, obviously, this is also the location where Malton hid in the bunker. Victus of course got cast into the dark ether at Tag to Toten. And lots of people have been saying, well, now is the perfect time with Ashes of the Dam to bring back Victis, especially because Ted returned. But so far on Ashes, there’s no mention of them at all. So maybe New Town coming back could be the second opportunity where we could hear from them again. But anyways, let me know all of your thoughts on this in the comment section down below.
