Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Scholar Breakdown
Night Rain finally added a true support class. We got exclusive access to the Forsaken Hollows DLC and we got to play both the new characters. I’m going to break down the scholar. So, let’s start with the Scher’s passive called Bagcraft. So, this lets you carry extra consumables and the more you use consumables, the more they level up. At level three, they even add a secondary effect. So, the key to this passive is that right when you start, you should be using items right away. The more items you use, the more powerful you’ll be. And by day three, if you’ve been diligent, you’ll have some very powerful consumables at your disposal. Now, let’s move on to the character skill. This one lets you apply buffs to teammates and debuffs to enemies. By using your analyze skill, you can aim at different enemies, and as this bar fills up, the more powerful the buff or debuff will be. One downside to this is that analyzing takes time. However, the closer you get to an enemy, the faster it’ll run. Of course, when you analyze, you don’t have your weapon out, so you are very vulnerable. High risk, high reward. So, the scholar’s ultimate ability called Communion is probably one of the most interesting of the bunch. So, what this does is when you activate it, all enemies and allies in the area are linked together. Whenever an enemy takes damage, all enemies linked will also take damage. Additionally, if I’m linked with allies and I use a flask, all of my teammates will also recover health. seems like an incredibly useful ultimate depending on the boss you’re facing or if you’re fighting a large group of enemies. So, the scholar definitely fills a support role, but if you’re interested in doing a lot of damage, you should check out our breakdown on the Undertaker, a character that can slingshot across the map with a giant hammer. She is super cool.
