(WE FORMED A NAVAL BLOCKADE) War Sails Part 5 Bannerlord DLC Gameplay
Hello and welcome back to War Sales. And I finally installed a new mod. Yes. And it’s been a it’s been a little bit of time since I’ve done that, obviously, because well, the DLC’s just come out and uh well, there’s probably quite a few people working on their mods, making sure that they’re all uh compatible. But I have Helmsman now. Yes, we have Helmsman. So, that is definitely a wonderful quality of life improvement. You’re going to get to see exactly what it’s all about as we go into a battle. I haven’t tried it out yet, but hopefully it’s going to be great. Very, very much looking forward to it. Anyway, what I actually wanted to do right now is just show you that I upgraded my stealth armor. I’m not entirely sure if this is actually worth doing in any way because it feels to me like the uh well, I mean, no offense, right? But the the stealth does seem relatively straightforward. I don’t know. Maybe um maybe it’s going to be really really good for us to do this. I mean, you can see here. Look at this. Look at what I’m actually doing right now. I’m literally just upgrading our gloves for our stealth gear. I’ve also gotten this blackened armor. It looks as though the blackened armor set cuz I already got the blackened cape as well from the marketplace. Apparently, this is the best thing that you’re going to get in regards to doing stealth. And so, yeah, you should probably be on the lookout for that if you are very much wanting to do stealth in anyway. And otherwise, we are just going to sell all of this. We’re otherwise making 40,000 from all the all the things that we’re selling right now. You can see here how much, you know, what we’re actually selling. And um otherwise, do I want to get rid of any of these? Do I? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We do want to get rid of a couple of them at least. And uh let’s see. Oh, yes. Actually, one thing I wanted to do, let’s put a a banner on us. We don’t have a banner right now, you know. We don’t actually have a banner, so probably very very useful for us to do that. Uh, harpoons. Do we want more harpoons? I think we’ll probably just keep one set of harpoons on us just in case. Just in case. So, we are literally here. As I said to you before, I kind of wanted to I kind of want to show uh pretty significant amount of the uh should we say initial progression of our little faction here. We don’t even necessarily have a faction right now, but the fact is, look at look at Alder right here. Wow, she’s actually leveling up her medicine skill really, really nicely. So, that’s going to be great. And uh yeah, we have 20 days for the courthouse to be created, which is pretty nice in my opinion. I think that’s pretty decent. Unfortunately, because Mr. Garand here is a Vlandian, he is going to create a bit of a problem with the governor’s culture. You could see here we’re losing one loyalty as a result of this. So, we might might in fact be losing six in total, which is going to be quite harsh. I think that’s going to be very, very dangerous. And indeed, I all I’m doing is just recruiting Nord Nord younglings from here. And uh we’re going to go over to the uh over to the castle cuz we’re still at war against still at war against the Vlandians. Of course, he is still at war against the Vlandians. So, we will see if we can actually take this. I mean, this is indeed one of the newer uh newer siege layouts, so it might very well be easier for I mean, look, they have 400 people. I’m a bit worried about this, actually. I’m a bit worried about this, despite the fact that we have 150 troops. 25 of them are literal tier ones. So, not very much looking forward to it if they decide to sally out, but there’s only 172 if they do decide to sally out. So that is good. That is a very very good thing indeed. And we also have Derard here apparently declaring war on the Sturgians. That’s absolutely wonderful. That’s actually perfect for us because that means they’re going to be distracted. Oh yes, the Vandians are going to be focusing on enemies that are much closer to where they are located. Obviously, I mean, they’re not going to travel across the ocean to attack us, are they? Uh they probably will. They they probably will, but uh we we we’ll see. We’ll see. May maybe they’re not going to do that. Maybe they’re going to give us a bit of a break, which is unlikely, I’d say. But uh you know, you never know, right? You never know. So, we’ll see what we can do here. I am going to try and I will try to starve them out because I personally believe that starving them out is going to be the best course of action here across the board because I mean, just think about it. I doubt we can even take this if we go in with 400. I I doubt we can even do that. I I don’t know. I think that’s probably going to be unlikely. So, I’m thinking what we’ll do is we will starve them out, take out the walls, then we only have the militia to deal with. And the militia, as you can see, are basically just, you know, Nord militia spearmen, Nord militia archers. Really nothing too crazy to write home about. And that should be easy enough. Okay, so we have a little bit of a situation on our hands and uh well, we did level up as well. So, I did get a focus point. I put it in throwing skill. I don’t think that’s really going to be super dramatically good, but I mean, as you can see right here, we have 93 in throwing skill. And the throne weapon damage, speed, accuracy, etc. Literally only increases by five six%. I I’m feeling what what is that? That’s some That’s some pretty terrible gains right there. But yeah, I guess uh the main the main thing is the perks. I guess the main thing is the perks. Anyway, we are having a problem as you can quite clearly tell from me just, you know, uh spritzing onto the screen right there just very very quickly because you can see we have Veric. Yes, that scoundrel has decided to appear at exactly one day left on the food situation. Yes. So, uh, the problem now is we’re going to have to go in. Yeah, we’re going to have to go in. And what we’re going to do is I’m actually going to take everyone. I’m going to take everyone in here because we are over the limit. That’s fine. That doesn’t matter. The reason why that doesn’t matter because we’re going to lose a bunch of people anyway, so it doesn’t really matter too much. Also, Ferg is now of age, by the way. So, I am going to be managing him afterwards. This is going to be a little bit dangerous because if Volar decides that he wants to besiege the castle after we’ve taken it. H then things are going to be painful. Oh yeah, things are going to be very very painful because they have two they have 800 800 people or something like that. Yeah, pretty crazy stuff. So not sure if we’re even going to be able to survive this. It is looking very unlikely. Let’s just say that. Looking very, very unlikely. Okay, so here we go. What are we gonna do? Well, first of all, I think we’re going to run over Where’s the best place for for cover? I think this place is good for cover. But the problem with that is that it’s I don’t know. It feels a little bit too open in this area from from the battlements positioning because you could see here it literally just takes us straight in and we are being shot the entire time from there. I guess it is kind of a similar situation to the other side as well, but oh well, never mind. Okay, fine. Let’s just go. Let’s just go and see what happens. Maybe we’ll be okay. I mean, as you can see, the uh the infantry are on that side, but is that good? I don’t know. I don’t know. Okay, let’s put them into a square formation. Put them in a square formation right here. I’m going to get out my uh wonderful wonderful throne weapons. N Oh, okay. I was actually going to say nice because I thought I killed him, but I didn’t. Great. Nice head shot. There we go. Let’s tell our forces to charge in cuz they’re otherwise just going to get peppered to death and we are otherwise going to make our way towards the archers. How dare you shoot me in the face? Funnily enough, the time to kill is kind of too high. It It feels too high for me right now. But uh we’re actually doing all right. I I mean, are we are we doing all right? Yeah, we’re not going to be able to do this. How many I have 25 N Huskals still remaining though. I have 25 N Huskals. Is that actually possible? I don’t think so, actually. I mean, I’ve got Sea Chiefs as well. Is it possible for them to actually kill 150 people with just 50? I mean, it is possible if I’m still alive, but I’m not alive. I’m dead. So, uh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I can actually take control of people, can’t I? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I actually forgot about that. Wait, can I not take control of my own people? Uh, why why am I getting the the the enemies? Why am I getting the enemies selected? That’s not working. That’s not going to work. Does it not work? Maybe it’s only Is it only uh like naval combat that that works with? Because it doesn’t seem to work for me right now. Uh I mean, you can see here, I’m literally looking at this guy right now. Yeah, this is not working as you could tell. Uh oh, really? Come on. I was actually kind of hoping that we’d be able to take control of someone maybe. Okay. Yeah, we’re going to lose this. We’re going to have to run away. Okay, so uh we did manage to get away obviously. We literally ran, you know, I mean we ran uh very very far away. Tried to recruit as many people as we could. As you see, I have loads of low tier troops once again. And the funny thing is they stopped the siege at the town for some reason. And I don’t know why they did that. Um I don’t know. Maybe maybe our uh our defenses were just way too good. I don’t know. That’s that’s unlikely. Let’s just say that. I feel like that’s that’s completely unlikely. But then the 800 basically decided to turn around and besiege it as well. Now, I’m not sure what’s happened since then because these two vassels have now come over here and they’re trying to murder us, obviously, and we are going to have to try to defend them while we are besieging the castle again because what I decided to do was, okay, if they’re going to besiege the town, then I’m going to besiege the castle and we’re going to try and be as efficient as possible with our time. Now, unfortunately, the town is now rebelling for some reason. I don’t know why, but they are having a a pretty big issue because of I assume being besieged. You know, let’s face it, everyone hates being besieged. So, you know, that’s probably the reason. Anyway, we will try if we can to do some big big damages here. Uh if we can maybe big damage incoming maybe. Uh or I could just go, you know what? Uh yeah, maybe it would be an idea to use our throwing weapons to be honest. Um, I think, see, the thing is being in snow is absolutely terrible in general for pretty much every single scenario. Like, I’m going to be traveling so extremely slowly here, which is very, very sad. I mean, you can see here I did decent damage there. That was a head shot, I believe, or a neck shot at the very least, which is decent enough, but obviously you don’t really want that if you can help it. You kind of want to get something a little bit better than that. you kind of want to get uh I don’t know. Yeah, a a headshot at full speed would get me massive experience, but as it stands, we obviously are not going to be getting that. These guys are They are so annoying as well. They are so annoying. Let’s actually tell them to charge. What? What? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. What’s actually happened here? They just ran into us and now they are dead. What’s actually happening with that? That’s very strange. Okay, I assume they literally just didn’t even understand what was happening and they basically just went in with any old random units and as a result they have now basically just killed themselves because it’s not me doing that. That’s for sure. It feels like they’re literally just throwing caution to the wind at this point. Nice damage. Very, very good. And let’s get this guy. Oh no, never mind. Okay, that’s fine. I’m actually wondering whether we should actually start Should I execute them? I really really badly actually want to start executing. I think I will. I think I will, but not yet. Going to take him prisoner right now. And we’re just going to I I was tempted. I was so tempted right there, but I was just I was kind of thinking, you know what? No. No. We cannot possibly do that yet. I I feel like we need to try to find some kind of spouse first potentially, uh, someone with decentish stats and then just go from there. But it is it’s such Oh, it’s so annoying. It’s so annoying not not being able to do it because you can just fundamentally reduce the chances that opponents are going to come back and just absolutely murder you. And uh yeah, it would be wonderful if we could do that, but obviously that’s yeah, it’s going to be a little bit dicey for us. A little bit dicey for us right now. Okay, let’s actually see here. D is actually slightly better than what she was using. That’s pretty decent. This is better than what she was using as well. She has no gloves. How How does she have no gloves? How do you have no gloves? Alder, you should have told me. Uh she she obviously can’t. Uh so yeah, that’s my bad. That’s my bad. And uh bear in mind that even though I’m doing the siege here, I don’t actually have my engineer companion cuz he’s stuck. He’s stuck inside the garrison of the town because obviously he’s defending. He’s allowing his expertise. Oh, it’s not under siege anymore. Oh, okay. Well, that’s nice. Um I I don’t know when that happened, but yeah. Anyway, the point is his expertise is actually making all the difference in the world. I’m pretty sure at least. Okay, now dismount and ignore 25% dismount resistance. That actually sounds pretty cool. However, I’m thinking I would like running throw because plus 30 throwing skill to troops in your formation sounds amazing. So, it’s either plus 30 throwing skill or plus 5% throwing weapon damage. I think 5% throwing weapon damage considering the fact that uh you know these percentages right here, they’re not very good, right? So, I think 5% is probably really really that that’s kind of powerful, right? So, I think we’re probably going to do that. We’re going to do that because that’s going to get us 5% extra. Okay. So, as you see, we have actually managed to Oh no, there’s Oh dear. Oh no, there’s a ballista still alive. Oh no. Okay, that’s kind of terrible. I really wanted to destroy this, but as you could see, all three of our trebuchets missed. All three of them. Can you believe it? So unlucky. So unlucky right there. Okay, well we’re fine. We’re okay. I don’t think we have to worry about this too much. I am on purpose leaving our trebuchets up and running because I’m hopeful that maybe they’ll target the enemy trebuche which is over here. Uh what we are going to do though is I am going to literally tell them tell my forces to go on the other side. We’re going to tell them to go Oh no, I can’t do that. Yeah, I can’t do that because the wall is repaired over there. Oh, that is so unfortunate. That’s real bad. That’s real bad. Okay. Um I have a bad feeling I’m going to die. I have a very bad very very very bad feeling. Very very bad feeling. So, let’s actually just get our forces to go in there straight away. Just super super quickly before they can even shoot with the ballista. Okay, come on guys. You need to move a little bit quicker than that. Come on now. Move a little bit quicker than that. Please. And I mean, we’re doing relatively well already, but that’s just purely because we do we still have our Huskals. Bear that in mind. We still have a population of Huskals just purely because we were able to get away because 800 was so slow. They were extremely slow in comparison to our army. And obviously, if they were slightly smaller, they would have caught us easily. And if they had any any uh vassels nearby that were in a smaller party size, they would have had absolute free reign to do whatever they wanted to do. Catch us, kill us, you know, catch her, whatever. And um yeah, it would have been very bad. But we are seemingly doing okay here. Oh, not Huskal. Thank you. Very good. Very good. Nice. Nicely done. Nice. Uh that’s my horse. Let’s not kill that. Thank you very much. And I think we’re done. Yes, we can now speed through the rest as we are 100% done here. And now the question is, are we going to stay in here and defend? Are we going to stay in here and defend or are we Oh, wait a minute. Where’s the last enemy? Where where is the last enemy right now? Huh? That might be a little bit a little bit of an issue. Is it up here? I am not seeing it when I hold down alt. So, the problem is, am I going to have to search high and low for it? Maybe. All right. So, we did manage to achieve victory there. I have no idea where he was, but apparently he was he was dead now. So, 29 renown and 15 morale. Obviously, morale actually coming in kind of handy now because we kind of need it. You know, make sure that our forces are going to continue fighting. as long and as hard as they possibly can. And otherwise, what we’ll do is we’re not going to take any Vlandians. I know, I know. I probably should, but I’m not going to take any Vandians. I’m just going to take Corsair and Nords and various things like that. That’s all we’re going to take right now. Nord warriors. That’s actually very, very nice. Nord science. Bear in mind, we’re going to be moving very, very slowly if I take all of these guys, right? We’re going to be moving much, much slower. What is it? Uh, 0.33. Yeah, that’s quite that’s quite significant. So, I’m going to leave the younglings here and we’re just going to move on. This is going to be a big problem. I have a bad bad feeling about this. I don’t know whether we should stay here to be honest. He Let Let me just see his composition. He has 40. I mean, cavalry is not that good. Just Just bear that in mind. Cavalry is not that good at sieging, but if they have a high enough level, it doesn’t really matter, right? So, if they have a lot of Landian knights, they have 11 of them. If they have a lot of Vandian vanguards, they have 43 of those. And if they have a lot of Vandian cavalry, I mean, Vandian cavalry isn’t actually that good as far as I’m aware. Let me actually just take a quick look. Let me see. Are you good? Yeah, actually, not even not even that bad. I mean, tier four, as I said. So tier four is kind of good in my my estimation. And they have 47 of those. They literally have huge amounts of troops right here. So the question is, are they going to They are immediately going to come in here, aren’t they? I mean, they will immediately come in here because the wall is down. So, the question is, do I want to leave it and go over to the town or do I want to try to defend? I feel like maybe we could actually defend this. I feel like it might actually be possible to be honest. Yeah. You know what? Let’s go for saddle bags here as well. And what I’m going to do is I’m actually going to be equipping these harpoons instead of the spear cuz we’re going to need that. That’s going to be in my opinion uh very very much necessary. That’s going to make a big big difference. We’re going to have to let it get taken, friends. We’re going to have to let it get taken. That’s That’s very unfortunate. And indeed, this is all just for the very very minor amount of experience that we’re going to get for it. Um I would love to Where’s my Where’s my convoy? Is it literally Oh, no. My my Yeah, it’s in It’s in there, isn’t it? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I can’t possibly do battle with these guys on the field. So, it’s going to be uh it’s going to be a waiting game for the moment. Okay. Okay, so we are literally just going to do this and I’m just going to swap out the um the harpoon. Oh, of course, as soon as I get ready for the for the inevitable battle, uh you know, then then they decide not to go forward. You know, that’s hilarious. Okay, so what we’re going to do is I’m just going to swap out Alder’s saddle here. And the main reason why I’m doing that obviously is because she’s probably not going to be that useful with it in comparison to me having a horse that hopefully does not die. We now have a noble mount available as well. So, I’m going to be equipping that, too. I’m just making sure that we are as prepared as we possibly can be. We need to make sure that we live in this battle. This is literally one of the most important battles we’ve had so far in my opinion at least because this means I will be able to retake the town very very easily hopefully because they’re going to either rebel or their uh garrison is going to desert or whatever. And I think that’s going to be exceedingly exceedingly powerful. I am actually going to execute these people. I’m pretty sure I’m going to execute these people after the fact if I am successful in achieving victory here just purely because they have they have uh shall we say ground my last gear. Yes, they certainly have. Okay, so we are going to take a look. Are they going to go around the Yeah. Okay. Wait, wait, wait. Let’s have a look see. Uh this is going to be the best course of action. Going over to the left side here. Making our stand against the mountain area. That’s going to be the best if we can make that work. Let’s see where they are. Are they actually going to charge us? If they charge us, then we are going to be in an exceptional position. If they don’t charge us, then I’m not entirely sure. I’m going to be questioning their sanity because I have no idea what they’re doing. Guys, they technically should probably be charging us right now because they do have the ability to win very, very easily if they catch us out of position. Uh like right now, we’re kind of still moving. We’re still getting like set up and stuff like that. So it’s really going to be very very simple for them. But they are not doing much. They are not doing much. So as I said, if if they want to actually fight us and they want to fight us here, they I’m pretty sure at least they will lose just purely because of the environment. Nothing because of my own strategy or anything like that, but just cuz using some somewhere like this is exceptionally good. So incredible that we are going to just murder everything. It’s going to be great. Um, yeah. Let’s actually see. My forces are quite far behind. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, no. Here we go. Here we go. This is actually perfect for us. This is actually very much perfect. This is what we need. We need our forces to stay round about here. We need to put them into We need to tell them obviously to face this direction. Um, hopefully they’re going to face the the correct direction. And we’re otherwise going to be putting them into a shield wall. There we go. Nice little shield wall. And can you tell can you face the other way please? What are you doing? Oh no. Are they literally facing the wrong direction right now? The enemy. Okay. Put them here. Little bit more. A little bit more that way. Okay. Um yeah. I mean it’s it’s it’s okay kind of. Yeah, I guess. I mean, this is the reason why this strategy why why I wanted to do the strategy here because I mean literally look look at what’s happening. They’re getting caught up. They are getting caught up and they cannot use their cavalry’s main strength which is agility, mobility, maneuverability, you know, just just absolutely everything that you could ever want from cavalry. And they cannot possibly do that. And you can see here we’re actually maybe going to be okay just purely because of that. I’m not sure. I guess we’ll I guess we’ll go I guess we’ll give it a go. I don’t know. I mean, so far it seems all right. And uh they are actually able to for some reason use the slope as some kind of speed boost which is kind of annoying. But that’s not really doing much. As you could see they literally just charge into each other which is fantastic for us. That’s really really good. So if we can just kill these guys I think we’ll be pretty happy. Nice. Good damage. Good damage. I would like a little little bit. Ah, I really wanted to attack that guy, but no such luck. Okay, we’re fine. We’re fine. I don’t even need to worry about this. Actually, I don’t think I need to worry about this. This is I think this is actually a victory for us. I’m calling victory right now. That might be a bit early, but I think we’re okay just because look at the look at the cavalry. Look at what they’re doing. They they’re literally being so useless right now. which is exactly what you want. And that’s the reason why I said to you if they had charged a little bit earlier and a little bit faster, as in if they had just gone straight across the battlefield, they actually would have caught us out of position cuz they wouldn’t have allowed us to get to this point in the first place. And I’m just hopeful that we will now be able to recruit some people, actual people from the town itself cuz we need to try to rectify this situation quite quickly cuz otherwise what’s going to happen is our prosperity is going to continue tumbling. It’s going to continue going down really, really badly and we do not want that. any kind of any kind of, you know, kingdom management that we’re going to be doing right now is going to be focused on making sure that our loyalty is as high as possible. We obviously are we clan tier? No, we are not clan tier 4. So, I will not be able to create my faction yet. It’s going to take a bit of time for us to get to clan tier 4, unfortunately. But that just means that we are going to have to try just that much harder and it’s going to be kind of uh kind of difficult for us right now. But I guess uh that you know the the greatest rewards take the greatest effort or what whatever they say. You know that that kind of thing. You know you know what I’m trying to say here. All right. So basically this is all to do with personality type I suppose. So it it doesn’t really matter too much. As you can see, we also have a bunch of recruits coming to us. So, all I’m going to do with these guys is literally slap them in the garrison. That’s it. Just slap them in the garrison. We should probably be taking some of these higher tier troops out and using them. Uh but there you go. Basically, all I’m trying to do is just wait here for some time, recruit people from the town itself, and then just put them in the garrison and then just rinse and repeat that that strategy every single time. And that generally will help us a great deal. As you see, our garrison is now starting to apply a little bit of a bonus to our security and our loyalty is still kind of terrible cuz we have bound villager issues apparently. Um, apparently these guys are having some issues. Let me actually just go and see what’s happening with them. Not sure if I’m going to have the ability to really do much, but I guess we’ll try it out. Family feud. Okay. I don’t really like Family Feud. I’m not a big fan with I I really don’t like this this quest actually, but um I’m we’re going to try it. One of my relatives fell victim to his temper during a quarrel who killed a man from Ravikia. We offered to pay blood money, but the family of the deceased have stubbornly refused it. As it turns out, the deceased is kin to Vorstein of Ravakia, an elder of this region, and now the men of the village have sworn to kill my relative. This sounds pretty serious. I’m sure that as lord of this district, you will not let these unlawful threats go unpunished. As the lord of the region, you could talk to Van and force him to accept the blood money. I’m not sure about using my authority in this way. Is there any other way to solve this? My family is concerned for the boy’s life. He’s gone hiding around the village commons. We need someone who can protect him until Vulan sees reason, accepts the blood money, and ends the feud. We would be eternally grateful if you can help my relative and take him with you for a while, maybe. M. Yes. Okay. I will protect your relative. And we are still at war against the Vlandians. But that’s okay. That’s all right cuz that means that we will be able to launch an attack against Ostaken potentially. And we might be able to actually murder them, which would be wonderful because you could see here, look at the uh the defenders in our in our town right now. We’re looking very very secure. Possibly. possibly. It’s not not a foregone conclusion that this is going to be the the safest thing in the world, but I think this is going to do completely fine for us right now. And we’re going to, of course, level up, continue recruiting from here, and get a whole bunch of people. And that’s going to be it for this episode.
