Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 – NEW PAID DLC
It has been a long, long time. Welcome to Gran Turismo 7 and welcome to a brand new big update, the spec free update which came out just now. And also we have a new paid DLC as well. So to pay to play this paid DLC called Power Pack, you get to Menu Book 9, you need to be playing on the PS5 version and of course have Grand Trootman 7. Um, so yeah, we’re going to be checking it out. Oh, a large sailing vessel has arrived at the port. You can compete in the power pack races from there. Ooh, I believe I have purchased this already. Um, it was 25 UK pounds. I brought it. Um, should we do it? We should definitely do it. I am I am so down. I was playing this game yesterday and I was confused. Like, why was I playing these terrible racing games lately? Oh, just a YouTube video. Okay, sure. The power pack is an attempt to provide an opportunity for players to experience proper racing at a real world pace. Ooh. As in real world racing, these events will take a good amount of time to complete. But if you take on the challenge, your driving techniques and racing skill are sure to improve. practice. At the beginning of a race weekend, the practice session provides an important opportunity for you to learn the track properly and understand the character of your car. Your time here will directly affect your performance in the practice session and in the final race. Qualifying. The qualifying session requires you to set your best lap time within the limited amount of time provided. While the position you secure in qualifying is important, of course, you have the chance to redeem yourself in the final race final. The race weekend culminates in the final race. Rivals around you are all drivers who set a similar time in qualifying, so it’s not going to be easy. And even if you can end the race one position higher than you started, you can still call that a good result. These race events provide a distinctly different experience and longer time frames compared to racing games until now. Take your time and enjoy the flow of time matching a realworld racing experience. When you overcome the challenge, you should have a deeper understanding of cars and racing than ever before. Enjoy racing and good luck. Thank you very much, sir. Okay, we’re jumping in. Exciting terms. Oh, here we go. Welcome to the world of Power Pack Racing. The races in this mode are more realistic and challenging than anything you’ve ever played before. Uh-oh. Oh no, I might be in trouble here. Now, to compete, you’ll need to pay an entry fee. What? How much is that going to be? Those only who finish a race will earn credits, so be sure to try your best. Each race will have practice, qualifier, and the final round. Build on your achievements and aim for the top of the spot. Top spots. There we go. Depending on how you rank, you’ll be rewarded a certain number of stars and credits as a reward. Ranking high will earn you large amounts of stars, while ranking low will earn you, okay, comparably less. Lovely. You also want to collect stars to obtain special cars. Oo, okay. A total of 50 cars. 50. A total of 50 races will be held in all. That’s a lot. For each race, you’ll be allocated one car according to the difficulty level. Clear the race uh to compete in subsequent races on your map. And don’t forget, I’m rooting for you, so give it your best shot. All right. So, where are these all the time points here? So, we got one, two, three, four, five, six here. Which one do we go for first? I’m tempted by the 70s. That’s That’s one that’s leading leaning me a little bit. Yeah, let’s do this one. This looks fun. Okay, I’m ready. So, yeah, we need these stars to unlock this price. That’s like a roulette ticket or a vehicle. Oh, it’s been tuned. Does anyone know if that vehicle is completely brand new for this um expansion this this DLC? Let me know in the comments. Okay, let’s go for this one then I guess. Suzuka circuit three laps 16 cars. So if I pick this car which is slightly slower, there is more more money available. Um, I’m a bit rusty, so we are going to stick with the the skyline, of course, the first skyline. Love it. It looks so good as well. So, there there was a bit of drama around this power pack um thingy. So, all the cars are pre-selected as far as I know. Um, which is a bit a little bit of a downer, I guess. For people like me, it’s completely fine. And by the way, did I get my I did get my 5 million credits. So, you get 5 million credits with this DLC as well. Um, yeah, let’s do it. Oh, by the way, this pack also includes also includes um new AI. Brand new AI. We’re doing practice first. Welcome to the practice round. During the session, you you can race um and return to the pits as often as you like. Now’s your chance to warm up. Some nice soft tires on as well. Check the leaderboards for lap times. and prepare for the Weight might just do like one lap and call it a day if that’s allowed. I’m hoping it’s allowed, right? Should we go to track? Yeah, I was playing this yesterday. I was like, why have I been playing these horrendous racing games when I have this on my PS5? What am I doing? I have no idea. Um, yeah, not not great. Just an hour of practice. Wow. Fair enough. So, this is the um snooker track. See, this this track was in the game already, as I’m sure you guys know. Oh. Oh, bit too uh bit too aggressive there. Yeah, very interested to try the um obviously the new AI. The steering feels so much better. Looks stunning. Of course, I’m really curious if this game will eventually come out on PC. I feel like PC players would absolutely love this game. They won’t admit it, but they will. They would absolutely love it. Interesting line there, Scott. But we take it. Oh, man. Where do we break here? Bit bit late. It’s fine. Must recover. I thought I was breaking there a bit early, but maybe not. Oh, look at it. Is my brake light screwed? What’s happening there? Why is it flashing? No idea. The game looks so pretty, doesn’t it? We obviously are playing on a PS5 Pro. Bit unfortunate this um power pack is not releasing on the PS4 version. Don’t really know what it is. Um feel free to enlighten me. Definitely not the best lap ever, but it will do. Late on the brakes. This is not an F1 car scar. This is far from it. Jeez, the brakes, man. Right. How was that lap? Oh boy. Guessing not particularly pretty. Actually, it’s not even didn’t count, did it? That was just the outlap. What was I doing? I completely forgot. Wonder how far down I am going to be on time here. It does make it sound like the difficulty is going to be quite hard. And where obviously I’m a little bit out of practice with this game, I do wonder if it’s if I’m going to be to like keep up. If it happens, it happens. I have to come back stronger. I have to be better. Okay, not bad. First sector. Holy smokes. Wow. using all the roads. Indeed, I’d like to go up the grass here. I could have played a bit later there, I reckon. Whoa, the back end. Woo! Man, I have missed this game. We had such so much fun with this series. I I don’t know why we stopped it be awesome to bring it back. Obviously, there’s a bunch of new cars that have been added as well. Uhoh. Uhoh. So, you can’t focus on talking. Um, a bunch of cars have been added now with this update as well. Yeah, I don’t think this is going to be um a purple now if I’m being completely honest after that. But the potential is definitely there. So that’s good. I scrubbed off a little bit too much speed there. Not a terrible last sec. Well, I’m saying that we did go wide, didn’t we? Yeah, we’re quite far off the pace here. Oh no. My last lap that was coming out of the pits was 219. So yeah. Uh it’s going to be a struggle. So yeah, first sector I had lost I wasn’t on the pace at all, man. We’re going to have some competition here. Oh no. Um the last sectors that’s where we went off. So there’s definitely time there. So, we’re probably not too bad in that sector, but the first sector, this could get painful. This could get very, very painful. But we’re going to end practice anyway, so apparently I’m that confident. Actually, how long did we get for qualifying? 11 minutes. Okay, I’m going have to try and just stay out on the same set of tires and just just keep going. Just keep getting the laps in, I reckon. That’s all I can do. It’s time for the qualifier. This is important. This is important. I don’t know if we get any like stars for doing a good qualifying. I don’t think so. Oh boy. Be attentive on the exit of the pits. That’s a good shot. Actually, if things get too crowded, pull back. That’s a That’s a good That’s a good Yeah, good idea. Try and create yourself a bit of space. Definitely pleased I picked the fastest car uh for this, but I did the fact there’s a there was a challenge there. All right, let’s do this. If we can get out first. And we’re definitely not first. Okay, don’t worry. Ignore that. We got a decent amount of space between me and the guy in front. It’s not too bad. Yeah, I’m not expecting um a win here. that way. Definitely not. So, this is just the out lap. What I’m going to do is I will come back when we’re ready for our time lap. But yeah, I’m not expecting a victory here, guys. I’m sure you guys can probably see that already. Um, but yeah, hopefully a sort of consistent race. Um, hopefully improving during the race with my lap times and consistency maybe. I don’t know. And let’s get back in the group. Hopefully, we can still get a couple of stars. Yeah, excited for the race. Excited to see what time we can set. I’ll see you guys in a sec. Try and get a good exit out of this corner, some good speed. Yeah, traffic’s fairly evenly flowed here. So, we got a decent gap here between me and the guy in front. No one’s coming out the pits on the brakes. Bring the car around. Try and touch his apex. Not too bad. Not a bad start. The center’s absolutely iconic corners. This in terms of demand on the car. Felt okay. Maybe it could have been a little bit more aggressive. No. God damn it. A fairly good start. I got absolutely ruined. Oh, this quarter terrifies me, by the way. Absolutely terrifying. in this car in this game for some reason it’s it is just terrifying. Right. So, this will be um I guess a bit of a banker first lap. Definitely a lot more time to find. This will probably be if not last near last. I’ll be completely honest. Definitely a bit more track there to use Scott for next time. Bit concerned this guy in front is getting closer and closer, which I guess is a good thing and a bad thing. Break fed up. Damn it. Got nervous. Got so nervous. Not a shocking lap to be honest considering how rusty I’ve been. Just see where we’re at. That’s as fast as that. Oh, not bad. Where’s this guy in front? Guess he may have made a mistake. Right. This guy’s right in my way now. God damn game. right is faster than you. Get out of the way. This guy is right in my way. This is not a good place to have a car that close to you. It’s not good. It really isn’t. Just doing a little bit of gardening. Surprisingly haven’t lost too much time. It’s quite a neat little first sector. Oh man, this guy is Get out the way. No, he’s not giving it up. Now I’ve lost first place. Here we go. Yeah, traffic is definitely an issue. Where is this guy? He’s there. Great. He’s come back at me. Of course, we’re now doing a race. Lovely. To get in front of him. I’m guessing he’s behind us now. This is still a time lap. There might be some potential here. Saying that it’s probably gone down the hill now. Oh. Uh, it’s all good. Oh, he’s coming back at me again. No, this is the worst situation ever. Get up wee. You nan poop. Breaking light so I can get past him. Get me, man. I must stay in front of him. This guy’s sick and he’s suddenly as soon as I got near him, he started getting racy. Ah, as you would expect, this has definitely not been a quicker lap. No, no, no. Actually 4 seconds up. I wish I was joking. I break so early. Damn it. Already three temps down. No. Try and find that time back. Try and be a little bit more aggressive on the center’s use all the curb. Not sure that’s quite works. 3 minutes remaining. That way we have another time for another lap. I’m third at the moment, which is not shocking. Oh, I pushed it too far. That corner. You have to be so careful. So, so careful. You will be punished. You will be punished with that corner. Holy smokes. Do you do not want to mess with that corner? Do not mess with this track. Holy smokeroonies. Brakes like a little bit late. Went veering off. Absolutely went flying off. We have time. I believe as long as we start the lap, we have time. We still have time. And that corner, the brakes will just lock up. 2 minutes remaining. It’s been a pretty tense qualifying so far. Hasn’t quite gone to plan. So, we need to find a good second. Um, yeah. Interesting. How much do I have to break here? It’s a big little experiment. Not too bad. It’s not an ideal racing line. Remember these I’ve collect Oh jeez. As soon as I push it a little bit more, I lose. It’s going to give me a terrible entrance to this. Oh jeez. To the starting line basically. Anyway, last lap. I’m ping him up. Okay, that’s good. Right. How much do I push you now? Under steer. Under steer. Where are you going? I’m down a second down. Barring a miracle. We’re starting for the best. I’ll keep going because I think there might be there’s definitely time in this lap. There a bit more time there as well. Like the entrance I don’t know. This could be a cheeky little corner as well. Oh, one sec. I found a bit of time there. Come on. Let’s go. miss apex, but it’s fairly okayish. Come on, grip up. We’re up a little bit. No, it’s going down now. Damn it. Right. How much risk do I take here? Bit more time there for sure. It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine. Found a little bit of time. Bit late on the power there maybe. So, that is a pretty concrete third place. Um, I think there might be still some guys going. We got a purple last sector there. Yeah, definitely concerned about my first sector. The guy in first was a lot quicker than me. A second up. Um, yeah, I’m losing a lot of time in sector one. All the way down to like sixth maybe, which is yeah, a bit a bit of a concern. Um, three laps though. It is time. It is time. Yeah, the first corner can be a little bit chaotic. That’s That’s true. To be aware of your surroundings. Maintain your driving lane. Don’t charge recklessly. Even if you only move up a single position, you’re off to a good start. Your motto should be don’t make any mistakes when breaking. Be mindful of the cars in front of you. Got it. When it comes to overtaking, again, don’t be hasty. This is a long race. It’s true. It is a long race. I don’t know what my race pace is going to be like. I think honestly the best result for us at the moment would be third. Um I think that’s yeah that I think that’s that’s the top we can probably get right now to be honest. Some nice looking cars in this race. Woo. Feels good to be playing a proper racing game. It does. Very very happy right now. Look at these cars. Interesting to see how the AI works as well. Made to try and do like a few tests. It’s quite racy during um during qualifying actually. They weren’t giving it up, were they? Yeah. I’m hoping I don’t see these guys. Um no bad start. No. So, we’re back. We’re back. back the second phase of the start. We did pretty well. Don’t know why I was being so cautious there. Why? Why did I do that? I was so cautious. I was like, “Oh no, the cars around me. Oh no, I must leave them space.” Gee, you think Max snapper never says that? No, just closes the door. Well, let me go get myself some work. Oh my god. Hello. That first sector is screwing me up again. Get off the grass, Scott. Quite interesting to see how they um operate that corner. Oh man, the AI is catching me up. Oh no. Maybe seventh will be our best position. I don’t There’s a guy right there on my left. Holy smokes. What is he doing there? I do not have the pace at the moment. I think I might need a bit of help with the racing line. I think I’m not quite following um cysts. Just some kind of like reference. I’m really I I do need a driving line. I’m sorry. I’ve played too many racing games, too many different cars. I need a little bit of guidance. Okay. I’m sorry. All right, there we go. Give me a a little line, little reference at least. Here we go. Whoa. Sorry. Sorry. Is he still there? Oh, he’s gone. Absolutely brutally murdered that man. Whoops. Sorry. And we got some serious straight line speed. Is that why we was catching up in the second phase of the start? Holy smoker. Yeah, we are definitely quicker in a straight line. In the corners, not so much. That guy’s still there. And he’s just far enough back that we are able to claim the position. We’re going to claim it anyway. I can find a bit more time in this first sector. It just seems to drive away from me. I’m basically um Oh my god. But that’s fine. We break more than enough again. Oh, I’ve got to work with shoe marker. No, no, no, no, no, no. I thought I break more than enough. Gee, where’s I break? I feel like I break more than enough. I swear I did. I have to watch your back. Ah, we are basically straight line merchants. That’s That’s all we can do right now. We’re at a corner. The AI is absolutely butchering me. I’m not exactly sure what I can do about that if I’m being honest. It just seems to have more traction and more grip around the corners. Looks like they got different I’m pretty sure we got the same tires. So that can’t be it. Look trying to drive away. Eh, not happening. Beautifully done there. Beautifully done. Please break. Oh my god. Brakes on this car are absolute ass. Someone just set a 218 in a race. It’s like a qual lap. What is this guy doing? is that mid part of the corner. They just seem to have like that little bit of an extra edge over me which makes it very annoying. Wasn’t too bad there. Right. Do not screw this up this time, please. That time I played too much. But that time I played too much again as well. It’s never like a middle ground, is it? It’s just like a if I am crashing or burning. Is fifth possible here? What’s the last lap? Actually, oh my god, I need more laps. Nice couple of last corners there. Come on. Look at the straight line speeds. Oh no, it’s fine. Don’t panic. Oh, we did it. We did it. Whoop whoop. Well, that was that the end. Did I improve a little bit? Got 16 stars. I came fifth. I didn’t improve on my my starting position. Um yeah, I don’t What was our last lap there? That would have been kind of interested, but I don’t think we can find out. He seems happy still. We got some credits as well. Driven some serious miles. And we got a little roulette. Okay, that’s pretty good. Yeah, that’s the second phase of the start. Had a really bad start. We got absolutely blocked, but then I had a chance to attack here and I just just I’m quite close to the going. No, I just I completely just You can see I’m just slamming the brakes on. I don’t know what I’m doing. There we go. 16 stars added to my name. Beautiful. So, do I need to like pay these these stars into here? Is that how it works? Or I have no idea. Um, a lot of fun though. Definitely a challenge for anyone that hasn’t played the game for a little bit and jumping back into the game. So, we got a little fourstar roulette. Receive the gift.
