First Look at The Power Pack DLC on Gran Turismo 7

Hello everybody. Welcome to GT Planet and welcome to another video here on our channel. My name is Chaz Draco, lead video producer for GT Planet and today I’m going to be looking at the power pack DLC which is down here in this bottom corner on our main screen. I’ve been playing with the cars in the Spec 3 update earlier on today. You can see that video on our channel right now, but as of this moment, I want to look at the power pack. We’ve kept this separate and obviously we want to come into it. There is a video that leads into this though and you’ll see the menu hopefully eventually that you get here when you’re presented with it. But before that, the first time you come in, there is a video. So, we’ll play that now and show you what that looks like before we get into this. The power pack is an attempt to provide an opportunity for players to experience proper racing at a real world pace. As in real world racing, these events will take a good amount of time to complete. But if you take on the challenge, your driving techniques and racing skill are sure to improve. Practice at the beginning of a race weekend. The practice session provides an important opportunity for you to learn the track properly and understand the character of your car. Your time here will directly affect your performance in the practice session and in the final race. Qualifying. The qualifying session requires you to set your best lap time within the limited amount of time provided. While the position you secure in qualifying is important, of course, you have the chance to redeem yourself in the final race final. The race weekend culminates in the final race. Rivals around you are all drivers who set a similar time in qualifying, so it’s not going to be easy. And even if you can end the race one position higher than you started, you can still call that a good result. These race events provide a distinctly different experience and longer time frames compared to racing games until now. Take your time and enjoy the flow of time matching a realworld racing experience. When you overcome the challenge, you should have a deeper understanding of cars and racing than ever before. Enjoy racing and good luck. So, as you can see, there’s a bit more structure to a normal race weekend here. And it means that it’s not just jumping into a race with a rolling start. There’s grid starts and all sorts. And there’s different paths you can take. So, there’s an FF tuning battle which goes through all of this. You can see the different roulette tickets and things like that. There’s different races as well. You get a fivestar roulette ticket and then you get a million credits and then you get a six-star roulette ticket for a car. There’s loads of different things, loads of prizes and loads of different routes to go down. There’s a Skyline GTR GTP, sorry, GP tune Skyline that is just there. There’s a lot of different things to do. I think that one of them the names Yeah, some of the names are not always giving away what race they are. Andrew mentioned that the Nurburgring GR3 race scared him and he was wondering, you know, what you do about that. Apparently Sarah is your race engineer as we will find out. As American muscle cars, the GTI, which I imagine is the Golf Golf GTI, but as a fan of Japanese cars and Hondas, the one I want to take on is the Civic Race ‘ 90s. You can see here. Oh, right. Okay. If you go into it, it shows you a little bit more in detail about what you can do. So, European old-timers, ah, Nurburgring Endurance in GT3s. Okay. Right. This is cool. It’s the first time I’ve pressed any of them. You see, uh, there’s a historic rally. I imagine this will be Oh, this is all like historic cars then. All of this. Wow. Watkins Glenn GRC Memories, which is the uh Daytona Road Course Spar Franks. Wow. Okay. So, there’s some cool stuff there. Let’s have a look at this. Oh yeah, look. Civics, Civics, Civics. More Japanese cars that are tuned. Oh, hello. GT500 stuff down this way. Okay, this yellow route, sorry, orange route is definitely going to be the one that takes my fancy the most. You’ve got some touring cars there as well in the green route. That’s quite cool. And then there’s a lot of GT stuff. Bit of a weird mix in the uh the blue side of things as well. Okay. Right. We’re going to go for this one. Ah, look at the different colors. So, Europe, United States, Nurburgring has its own, historic has its own. Tuning has its own, and then Japan, Asia. So, we’re going to go Civic Race, three laps, 10-minute qualifying, 16 cars. Okay. Ah, so look, you can choose the fastest car, the middle ground car, or the slowest one, and you get a little bit more prize money. You have an entry fee as well, so it’s not free to get in, but look at the power difference. I think we’re going to go for this one. That looks so cool, doesn’t it? Okay. Pay 300 credits and in we go to Tokyo. Oh, that’s quite interesting how it does that. So, this is practice. We’ll go into practice and this is when you’re in the pit lane. Oh, hello Sarah. During this session, you can race and return to the pit as often as you like. Now’s your chance to warm up before the qualifier, getting a feel for the track and the handling of your car. Remember, you can practice spelled wrong as long as time allows. Okay. Yep. Yeah, exactly. They really like to throw words at you, don’t they? Okay, so you can see all the different drivers out on circuit with their car numbers and stuff. You can travel speed. Okay. Ah, look. Practice is an hour long. Wow. You can spectate the cars going around. Okay, let’s go to the track. I love this. It drives you out of the pit lane as well. It keeps you obviously in this camera view. God, that’s a scary pit exit. Okay, and now I’m in control. Let’s go in the little Civic. So, this is obviously, oh god, my brake pedal. The power pack is obviously designed to make the racing a bit more realistic as Jordan called it. It was a catch the rabbit race in the previous format, how it was always, you know, starting 40 seconds down on the lead cars and usually their cars of a similar pace. So, you know, you were just having to save fuel and somehow beat a car that started half a lap ahead of you. Whereas now, this actually sets it up where it’s like a race weekend. You can also see people’s tire compounds as well, which is intriguing. Let’s just get a lap on the board here before we qualify, just to make sure that we have the just so we know what the performance is going to be like. I could probably throw it in more than that through there. These are so fast. This is so much fun already. But this is a car and track obviously that you can drive normally. Break pig. Was well too late on the brakes there, wasn’t I? I wonder what it’s like for invalidating lap time just, you know. See? Okay, so 129. This is my outlap. Now we’re on to a time lap. Interesting that the little timer at the bottom is blue when you’re improving rather than white text. Usually the arrow. Excuse me. Whoa. Oh, thank you, Sarah. That noise scared the life out of me to put a headset on her. Yeah, usually that text down there that tells you that you’re improving on your lap time is white no matter what color the arrow is. Suppose they’ve just decided that they’re going to make it blue. Needed to really throw it in there and make sure that I was using all of the tire. Okay. Don’t know whether I’m fastest or not yet. Not confident into here. I’m not confident anywhere on this circuit to be honest. It’s not one that I know too well. I know that I can go a lot faster through there. I’ve gained a bunch of time on my outlap though, which is good. Flat. Yes, flat. We want to break a lot earlier for this. There we go. That’s better. I’ve got a sneeze. No, I think I got rid of it. Not sure if these are Sophie AI or whether they are regular AI, but wow. Best record. Is that the best wording for it? Then again, I suppose it’s down to translation. 1292. Oh, some of these guys are fast. I need to really step on it. I like this already because it seems to be a challenge. The AI is putting in good times in cars that are clearly faster than mine. I think they’ve got like some 60 horsepower more. Ah, I always think that’s a much longer corner. I’m still 710, but that’s not going to put me anywhere competitive. Not good. Oh, that’s not good either, Chaz. Come on, you big idiot. You’re better than this. It puts you under pressure, though, and I like that because a lot of Gran Turismo 7, admittedly, doesn’t put you under pressure. You’ve got the pressure of catching up with a car that’s probably faster than you and saving fuel than you in a lot of the longer races, but in this circumstance, you’re just putting laps in round the circuit and you’re under pressure to make them as fast as you possibly can. Look at that. Only seventh’s quickest. Okay, we’re going to move on to practice. So, return to pit. We’re going to Oh, can we not just Ah, look. End practice. Begin the qualifier. Okay, let’s do it. I like this little thing because that noise is usually at the start of the daily races. That’s cool. Oh, tennis music. It’s time for the qualifier. The lap times here set here will determine the starting grid for the finals. Compared to the practice, this session is shorter. Just relax. Try and set a good lap time. Oh, okay. Cool. Yeah. So, we’ve got other cars on track now with us. So, it’s not like a lone qualifying. It’s good that they tell you, you know, about etiquette on track and if there’s a faster car, then, you know, let them go. Let’s go straight out on track as soon as we can. Let’s get this little Civic to the top, shall we? So, what were they doing? 1292s. Was it 282s? Everyone’s on hards as well. Sports hards. I need to remember that these corners are basically flat out through this whole first section. They’re not long sweeping tight corners. Hopefully we don’t get anybody coming out. They’re all sort of going out, fillering out one by one in a set time, like in a pattern. Again, that’s a much faster corner than that. This car is so quick. It’s great. There’s some little markers on the outside and then the inside of these corners that I’m aiming at is like apex markers. I don’t know if that’s what they’re meant for, but that’s how I’m treating them. Never seen them before. Never noticed them. But now, because I feel under pressure, I feel pressure to notice them and go for it. This feels wonderful to drive around here. It’s a very difficult circuit. Okay, there’s nobody coming out of the pits. There’s a car ahead of me. We don’t need to worry about that too much. Come on, Chaz. It’s this second one that’s like almost flat. I’m under pressure now. Seriously under pressure. I feel like especially because I’m recording. I have to show you lot that I’m not a complete [ __ ] And again, you know I’m a [ __ ] don’t you? You’ve watched enough Daily Races videos to know I’m a [ __ ] Now, is that time at the bottom compared to my practice time? Or is that session best as in qualifying? Probably didn’t need third there. No, look at it. Capability is much much higher than what it had. No, that’s not an English sentence. The capability was much higher than I anticipated. This is ah scary. Okay, we’re not quite in the 29s. 130.6. There we go. That’s better through turn one. That’s better through turn two. Gain half a second almost. It’s just such commitment needed around this track. They’re doing 133s. There you go. 1296 by Coco. Pure under steer. Pure under steer from the rear. We’re second off at the moment. You know what? I thought thought I’d be cocky and go for the slowest car and get away with it, but seems like that is not the case or it’s not that easy. Gain time back here. This is honestly I can’t tell you the difference in the feel of the pressure this puts you under. I’ve only done a practice in a qualifier, but already I feel like I have to take this a lot more seriously. It’s not just a case of jumping the fastest car you’ve got and outpower everybody. 7/10 up there. Is that going to put us in the 29s? Yes, finally got the 29s. Can’t believe I’m celebrating that to be fourth. More commitment around there. Gain another tenth or two. We want to avoid the under steer here. Come on. There we go. Pure time gains. We’re currently on for fastest, but how am I going to hold on to that pace? Who will there words? I’m concentrating. No, that’s a wall. Just I am trained so hard. I’ve never been that good at this circuit just to just to get the excuses out of the way. But yeah, I am floundering now. The inside wall turn. Oh, come on. You can do better than that. We moved up to third. Why did I grab third? Actually lost time there because I didn’t run out as wide. Didn’t get as good a run. I lifted for so long. As long as we get this corner right, we might get back on to pull. I say back on to pull as if we were ever really there. No, come on. This is really hard work. Really, really hard work, man. Got one of the EGs in front of us. Oh, hopefully they don’t get in my way. Oh, there’s two cars now. One’s Frager. What sort of paces he carry through there? Wow. Okay. Yeah, the AI aren’t messing. Look at this thing go. I was on a compromised line. No, I’ll be intrigued to know whether the session ends as soon as it hits zero or whether you can complete your laps. We’ll see. That felt better through there. Like your apex there was better, too. I’m trying so hard. This is It’s really fun as a result. Oh, turning too early there. That’s not enough for pull, is it? No, it’s a new best lap, right? Is this our last chance? Wall. Oh, sorry, Frogger. I said about the etiquette of getting out of the way and then I didn’t fulfill it there. I’m annoyed. I’m annoyed at myself for messing that up. Look at this though. Oh my god, I can gain so much time there. My god, he’s so fast into there. Yeah, he’s almost like trail breaking round it. I just wanted to follow and just see what sort of pace Frogger is doing. Clearly not as good as me cuz he’s behind me on the grid. It hasn’t forced you to finish your lap as soon as the session hits zero. I tell you, oh my god, I feel so under pressure by this. It’s mad. Let’s get everyone to complete their times. Is that it? Yes. Qualifier ended. Okay, not bad. Fourth place. I’m happy with that. And we’re actually running my race number. I didn’t notice that. Car number 10. Okay, it’s only three laps. It’s time for the finals. The first corner tends to be where things get a little chaotic, so be aware of your surroundings and maintain your driving line. Sarah’s not been watching daily races, has she? Don’t charge recklessly. Even if you only move up by a single position, you’re off to a good start. Your model should be don’t make any mistakes. I’ve tried that. It’s sounds very epic, doesn’t it? How I’m feeling, Sarah? I’m myself. Oh, the liveries. Some of the older Civics’s on the front row as well. Oh, cool. So, you get a grid like this. Big fan of that. That was a normal spoon one and a Yeah, normal one there actually as well. No racing liveries on some of them. That’s so cool. Oh, that’s a nice livery. Oh, and so is that. There’s some absolute belters in here. Are we ready? Oh no, messed up the start. Frogger’s going to have me. We were three wide there. Excuse me, Mr. Froger. Oh, we’ve lost two places off the start immediately. Oh, the commitment through there is terrifying. Right, let’s use this car’s clear top speed advantage, especially in the slipstream. Look at it go. Oh no. Sorry, Mr. Frogggin. I don’t want to disrespect the AI because I like to race them how I’d want them to race me as if it was a real person. This is nerve-wracking. It’s like doing this in daily races. It’s honestly what it feels like. Okay, we got the run. Oh, do I want to go for it into here? No, I don’t really want to go for that. God, I hope this looks and sounds as good on the external cameras as it does on the onboard camera here. Got to run here, but Is it enough? I think it is. We got the top speed advantage surely. No, it’s just down to pure slipstream. Oh, round the outside there. Twice in one race. The corner I’m scared of most. I didn’t think I’d be doing that. They’re side by side for the lead. We’re back in this fight now. Come on, little EG. Go. Little Civic EF is all over you. I don’t know if we’re going to take a win here. You know what? The AI has some serious pace about it and that’s so good to see. I’m having to push really hard here to get at them and make mistakes as well. One more lap. The slipstream is massive. Come on. We’re just going to go for it. That was so close to the wall. Cars behind have got the run stream. Oh, I think I’ve broken us away from the top two a bit too much there. Although they’re fighting, so they’re going a bit slower than usual. Hello We’re in the mix here with a couple of corners left. Left the door wide open. However, I want to go for this. Yes. Oh, no. Wind steering wide. No. I’m so sorry. Sorry, Valerio. I didn’t want to do that to you. I don’t like doing that. I really don’t. Cuz I’d feel awful if that was a real human being, let alone an AI. I don’t mind getting beat by Mia Zono cuz not only is he rapid, he’s lovely. I can’t put into words the amount of concentration that entire race meeting has just taken. That is they they said that it was going to sort of step Gran Turismo 7 up a level, but that race alone is just wow. Am I just rubbish or as always the music phenomenal? That was tough. Very tough. We’ve got a a daily races style sort of celebration at the end. And I got fastest lap. 43 grand. Ain’t bad either. Pretty decent amount of money for that. And then Yeah, I was going to say I imagine we get a uh a replay of it which I’m going to come out of and hopefully be able to save. Yes. So then I can use that in the video. Cool. That means you would have seen some wonderful external shots throughout the video so far. And then we exit. And what is next? Do we get some sort of well done in your first race? Here’s your stars and stuff like a bush tucker trial. Suppose you won’t all know what a bush tucker trial is, will you? Oh, the noises on that were beautiful. Just play that again, chess. Oh, that’s stunning. Lovely noises. So, another civic race. So, we’ve got central clockwise and south clockwise. Okay, that’s cool. So, it’s not just as Andrew said to me, actually, he messaged me and he said it’s not as straightforward as complete race unlock thing next race. It’s you’ve got to race race. Okay, so we’ve got Hachioku 80s at Sukuba. I know Sakuba a little bit better. So, there’s a load of tuned ah tuned AE86s. I don’t like that one so much. I like that. That’s really cool. Spicy car. 500 credit entry fee. So, at least it’s cheap to enter the races, but you know, it’s not free. That’s the main thing. Okay, I’m gonna use the practice because it’s clear that I need it. Another great sounding car, I’m sure. Wow. Okay. Hi, Revan. Love the dash. Okay, let’s get used to this wagon. Back end wants to kill me. We’ll do two or three laps. Get used to it. Okay, it doesn’t break. You have to be ready on the throttle for the back end to try and come around. So, even with traction on, it’s not necessarily a risk of spinning. It’s just more about keeping momentum. I mean there is a risk of spinning as well. There’s Daniel Salis in front. It’s a cool car already this. I can tell you that for free. I love the fact that they’re all cars in a similar category and of a similar type that would be racing against each other in the real world. Nice and smooth to the apex. There’s the momentum dying. Let’s see what we can do into here. Now, I know I need to break a bit earlier. Yeah, you still got to be careful cuz at the end of the day, it’s naturally aspirated and all of the power is up high in the revs. But even low down, it does start to break away a little bit. It’s got really good traction. It’s funny cuz it makes a hell of a lot of noise all the way up through third and you’re not even doing 100 miles an hour yet. Okay, I think we’re fastest. Yes, we are fastest by a good margin. Okay, I can rest easy on that. Okay, let’s end the qualifier. Uh the practice, sorry. I’m happy with that. If I can set a fastest time, I don’t mind letting the session go on. 10-minute qual. We’re not going to use the whole thing, I don’t think. We’re going to advance it once I’m happy with the times I’ve set. Let’s go straight out. Boom. Soon as that green flag drops, we’re out of here. Nobody else coming out just yet. Just get me on track and get me on pole position. I just I couldn’t get on with that previous one anywhere near as much, but again, it’s a nightmarish circuit to start the uh to start this route through the power pack with. We could go down different routes and so on, but I just want to see what one of them looks like. This is never going to be a video where I covered all of it because it’s a lot more gameplay and it’s obviously going to take a while. We believe there’s some 24-hour races in there as well. Not sure on the opportunity to get Bspec anywhere. We’ve not seen anything about that just yet, or at least I haven’t. And from Andrew’s messages, he hasn’t either. Don’t know if Jordan’s out of bed yet. get a good run onto the start finish straight just because this isn’t usually the principle of a Gran Turismo race or event. This doesn’t feel like Gran Turismo 7 in a weird way. You know, setting a qualifying time before a race and stuff. I know that we do that in the daily races, but I don’t know against the AI, it just doesn’t feel like the done thing. This feels like a pretty tidy lap. This a wider line on the way in. I was going to say to narrow the apex and get everyone out, but made a bit of a mess there. Archaz. This car sounds brilliant though. Absolutely brilliant. On and off the throttle a little bit. Held rotate it. 1 minute.4. Pleased with that. Not pleased with how far the mark I was there. Turn one. I get a bit of a better run. 1026 from Fraga. So yeah, definitely doing all right cuz he was on a similar pace to me in the Civics back at Tokyo. It’s good that they’ve given the obviously the World Series drivers names to the AI in this. I know that they do that in a number of the races, but makes it a little bit more relatable that you’re driving against people and not just the car with, you know, a non-named driver behind the wheel. We actually gained a little bit of time based on that hair pin. I don’t think we’re going to go sub one minute’s gone quicker than me. There we go. That put me to bed, didn’t it? That was tidier. But look, I lose time. I want to run out of the corner. I’m really trying, thoroughly, thoroughly trying because the AI is suddenly upper level. I’m not sure if they’ve added Sophie 3 to this and that’s why it’s so much quicker, but yeah, they really have ramped it up. This is feeling like a good lap. This should put us back into pole. Let’s see. One more corner to go. Not sure I needed third gear. It has helped actually a little bit. And back to pole position we go. It’s very close though on the times. I’m going to go and sit in the pits now and I’m going to advance time. We’ll see if anyone sets a new fastest lap. We’ll see. 5 minutes to go. Miazono’s back out on track. The number 52, the blue dot. Let’s see if he can set a faster time. Any purples coming in? Only greens. I did a purple sector two. 3 minutes left. Still no improvements. Nice. I think we’ve got this in the bag. Frog has decided to go back out. Only one minute left for any improvements. It doesn’t look like they’re coming in. Yes, pole position. Fantastic. Much more positive than the uh the Civics. You made pole position. I did. Okay. 12 lap race. So, it’s not a short race this. It’s not going to be a short video either, but we have a lot to think about then. So, we’re on pole. There we are. Wow. We were 8/10 clear of the rest of the field. The top two. That looked like a Raven West car then from the uh was it the race driver grid game? Is it me or did the screen just randomly get lighter then? Well, Mia Zono has mugged me. We’re going to be Oh, hello. Too wide into the first corner there. I’ve been absolutely done off the start. Wow. I have been mucked. I’m fifth. Let’s try and have carata back here. Nope. Never mind. Oh, mugged. Now, is it that my car’s got the least amount of power or something? Excuse me. Wasn’t very nice, was it? Well, too hot, Chaz. This is proper racing. This this isn’t just turn up like I said before with the fastest car and mug the AI. Look at that thing go Raven West. This isn’t just turn up and go with the fastest car. You get given a pre-tuned car and it makes it very very fair. And you know how real motorsport is? It’s cars of a similar specification and categorization all against each other. This is highly highly enjoyable. Just got to not do anything stupid like I did on that previous lap. Just get on the power earlier. Thank you. Come on, son. That’s twice now. And there’s the same thing I did on the last lap. Oh mate, it’s like daily races getting that slip stream. It’s just mental. That’s better. It’s not just a bunch of people turning up in road cars and then one guy turns up in an 1800 horsepower Viper, i.e. me, and decimates the field. Hats off to Polifany, though, for putting this together because can’t been easy. I know that it’s taken them a while to get it to this level and give us, you know, a realistic motorsport format, but at least they’re doing it. All right, I’m getting there with this now. Not sure in terms of tire wear what the situation is. I don’t think that there’s any sort of multipliers or anything like that. It’s just straight up sprint racing. We’re in the slipstream now. Not that that matters. He’s just driving away. We don’t want this battle to get too intense because Then Mia Zono will just get further and further away. Ah, back end got away a little bit there. This is actually fantastic because I’m having to really try to get ahead of them. Yeah, we’re losing him in a straight line, so it’s not even like we can sit in the slip stream and take advantage of that. But we are quicker around here, that’s for sure. MO setting fastest laps. Can have a look down the inside. I’m trying so hard. I promise. Just find me nose down the inside there. Hopefully they don’t get back in front down the straight. But look, his car is quicker. Oh no, he’s going to have me. No, he’s broken earlier. So I’m going to cut across his nose. Okay, let’s go after Mr. Mazono. No distractions. Let’s get it. We gain quite a bit through there, that’s for sure. Through that little bit under the Dunlop bridge, which we can now obviously mention more openly now that Dunlop have partnered with Grancher as well. I know that when they were sort of tied in with Mitchellin, I was a little bit more apprehensive about going on about Dunlop bridges and stuff, but now we don’t have to. Sorry, I was just focusing on the final corner there. Fastest lap of the race. Banging news. Only caught by about a tenth of a second though on that previous lap. Definitely through that righthander I gain time. Oh, it may be me lapping on my own here for a bit, but I can tell you that the gaps are changing only ever slightly. I lost a load of time there, I think. Oh, no. I actually gained quite a bit of time. Wow. 599. You can tell how hard I’m trying. Really trying. I know I’ve said that a lot here. It’s not an excuse. I just want to promise you that I’m not going easy on the AI to make this look more challenging than it is. Oh no. No. We made a mistake. Oh, and another one. Get back here, Mr. MOO. He’s just so fast in a straight line. I can’t get with him. Looking behind. We have cleared off from Mr. De Brin. That was a much slower lap that one. I say much slower. It was a 1 minute. 2, which is still pretty quick, I’m sure. Pants are so sweaty. This is the perfect start to this though. Oh no, that’s very wide. That’s just undone the last two laps worth of time that I’ve gained. Just that one mistake. Actually, you know what? I carried a lot of speed through there and got some of it back. But yeah, this is definitely the best introduction to this that it could have been. It’s been so challenging already. No matter what I do though, I can’t get any closer than this. Okay, we’re 2.2 away now. Actually, we’re starting to really get there, but it’s not enough at this point. I’m going to need some more ridiculous laps. Sub one minute lap times. I don’t think they’re going to come. Maybe. Oh, there you go. 598. Come on. Oh, lap traffic. That could be focusing in the last two laps. That could be a game changer. Let’s see. Less than 2 seconds now. Let’s hope that Mizono gets done by lap traffic here. Oh no, little slide. That’s the first proper slide I’ve had in a while now. The lap times are consistent, aren’t they? What’s that? Only about four or five ts from one to the other. Blue flags are waving. Already gone by. That traffic isn’t making life too easy. Oh no, I’m not going to be able to do it. Oh, he’s been held up here. Ah, now we’re going to catch the lap traffic at the worst possible moment here. Oh, yeah. Look. Oh, no. In the back of him, so I can’t even get the run. got faster car than me. I said lap traffic could make it interesting. Wow, what a race. That was so difficult. I haven’t won one yet. Yeah. All right, Sarah. Cheers. Oh, I was trying so hard. My fingers are killing me. This is nuts. Absolutely nuts. I am unfortunately going to have to end this video here. But as you can clearly see everybody, the power pack is no joke. It is absolutely no joke. Maybe it’s just me that’s rubbish. I don’t know. Still, let us know how you’re getting on with this because clearly I’m not good enough to even win the first two races, but that’s a lot of money. You do get a lot of money for it and you can’t knock that. But wow. I’m going to save this replay as well so that can go in the video. I’m physically tired after that. But you know what? I’ve thoroughly enjoyed that thoroughly. I’m going to obviously keep going at it now. Ah, okay. So, once you get enough stars, I think you unlock the next thing. Is that how it works? So, because I finished second, I can still go on to the next race. You don’t have to win them to move on. There’s the amount of stars you need in each region. So, wow. To get a million credits, you need 700 stars. How do you possibly get them? Can you redo the race and get the same stars? So, if I did that race again now, surely I can’t. That’s tough. Very, very tough. Still, this is the power pack, and I love the menu of it. The layout of it is fantastic. The difficulty is unbelievable. It really does ramp it up a level, and I’m not joking. It’s tough. Very tough. Let us know again, like I say, how you’re getting on with this. Head over to GT Planet and discuss it with like-minded members. Wait. Oh, I’ve got a fourstar roulette ticket. Cheers. Um, yeah, head over to GT Planet and that’s going to be a good race. Obviously, discuss it with like-minded members over at GT Planet and let us know what you uh what you thought of that. I’ve said that too many times now, so I’m just going to say goodbye. Thank you so much for watching. We’ll see you again soon.

After trying out all of the new cars on release day, Chaz eventually wandered over to the Power Pack segment of the update, in the form of paid DLC.

Here, the game gives players the opportunity to race in a more realistic “race weekend” format, as opposed to the “catch the Rabbit” races, as Jordan described them.

You have Practice, Qualifying and a Race, all in cars that the game presents to you, so it’s on a very equal footing.
