IMPORTANT Things to Complete Before the Legends Z-A DLC
The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends EA is only a few days away, so there are a few things I would recommend preparing before the game officially releases. Of course, the most important part being money, as having a heap ton of funds will allow you to buy things like berries. What is that? I don’t know. Pokeballs, healing items, and more, which we will all get into. And speaking of berries, these are going to be an extremely important part of the DLC, as we will be introduced to a new character known as Ana, whose main focus is preparing donuts for us using the berries we give her. These donuts will allow you to enter hyperspace. And Hooper will be our ally that creates these portals to hyperspace. And so, Hooper needs to eat donuts, which will then provide your character with a survey timer and level buffs depending on the donut you create. On top of that, Ana will be able to create special donuts that closely resemble the primal forms of Kyogre and Groudon. These special donuts are likely going to be used to survey a special area where players can encounter Kyogre and Groudon, possibly even as a rogue mega battle. There are loads of other things that we will find out about the donuts when the DLC releases, but for now, our main mission should be to buy as many berries as we can. There are berry stalls across Lumio City with two specific stores located right in zone 8. And honestly, don’t question what they’re selling. Just get whatever you can. The only issue with these stools is that when you go to buy a berry, you can only buy one at a time, which does make it quite annoying and it does take up a lot of time to buy the berries. But it is what it is. Definitely check which ones you have as I’m sure you’re subconsciously probably picking up a load of berries during your playthrough anyways, as there are loads about on the floor when you’re running about. And the best part is you don’t even need to press anything. You can just run across the item and it will automatically pick it up for you. Now that we found some berry stores, we need money to buy them and lots of it. So, what are the quickest ways of earning money in the game? Well, battling the ZA Royale will allow you to earn a decent amount of money and also level up your Pokémon at the same time. On top of that, you can also find random items during the ZA Royale battles and then sell them off to the Pokémon Center for some quick cash. There are also a few good AFK methods which you can use to farm money in the game. Like one of my favorites being the cafe method that also allows you to get your thousand battles in for unlocking the shiny charm. I would highly recommend it as it’s a good opportunity to make shiny hunting easier and quicker for yourself once you have that shiny charm. And here’s how to do it. Obtaining the shiny charm in my opinion is the hardest thing to do in Legends EA. I mean 1,000 battles. Yeah, that will literally take you weeks to complete. But luckily for you, I’ve got the easiest solution to solving that problem, along with many others you will have to face when trying to complete all of Mabel’s research tasks. Starting off with completing your Pokedex. Now, I know a lot of you are panicking about trying to get Pokémon like Alakazam or Slurpath or even Steelix, as those Pokémon are only available through trades. Well, yes and no. You see, some of the Pokémon could be caught during your playthrough of the game, either inside quests or in the Wild Zone. But if those don’t work out, then here’s a list of trade codes Austin John kindly made for the community to use. And this is how I personally obtain trade only Pokémon. It’s so easy. Type in a code, match with another person, and both of you will be able to evolve your Pokémon once traded. I’ve had zero problems using this method. The community is very nice and everyone helps each other out. Now, the next part is the thousand battles. And guys, don’t worry. You’re going to do this whilst AFK. You see, there’s a restaurant called Restaurant Lenar that allows you to battle three trainers back to back for the cost of 3,000 coins. But don’t worry, you will get more after you defeat them. And the trick here is that you will constantly battle them overnight whilst you are sleeping. But how is that possible? Well, you’re going to need a Pokémon like Garchomp that is tanky, powerful, and has access to a move like Santom. Santo is the move which you will assign with the button A. You are now going to attach a rocky helmet to Garchomp, which is extremely important to pulling this trick off. You can buy a Rocky helmet from this guy inside Racing Construction. Make sure your Garomp is at least level 70, as it helps the more powerful he is. Now, head over to the restaurant and start the battle. You are going to set your turbo controller to constantly press the button A. And yes, you do need a turbo controller to pull this off. They’re very cheap on Amazon. I picked this one up for £25, which is like $30, but you can still get some for cheaper. The all black version I think is like 20 pound which is like $25. Anyways, now you’re going to attach a rubber band to the L2 button and leave it to play. Your guarant automatically fire Santom on the first turn. Now because the L2 button doesn’t automatically work on the second turn, Santom will help take down that Pokémon on the second turn. But if that doesn’t work, then once the Pokémon makes contact with you, eventually they will faint due to them touching your rocky helmet too much. You will leave your controller like this overnight. And when you wake up, obviously depending on how long you sleep for, you should both be rich and have a thousand battles complete. So once you obtain the shiny charm, I would recommend putting it to work. But before we do that, let me show you a special Lucario you can obtain for free that actually belongs to Karina. And as you guys might know, we will be seeing Karina in a DLC. So this Lucario could have a special place in the game when Karina sees it. Once you complete the main story of the game, head over to your room in Hotel Z. By the desk, there will be a Pokéball that contains a Lucario. Grab it and keep it for when you see Korilla in a DLC. But want to know how to obtain the shiny Lucario the fastest and easiest way possible? Well, here’s a guide to the shiny Pokémon. Get yourself a shiny Ryoli early for when the new Mega Lucario Z comes out in the Legend ZA DLC. Here’s the fastest and easiest way of doing so. Travel to Nouv Cafe Truck at the bottom left of the map. Once you arrive there, turn right and head towards the sewers and then take a right turn. Keep going until you see an ice bridge, which you’re able to create using a firetype move. Ahead will be a ladder which you will climb and then follow the specific route towards Ryolu’s residence. You’ll know you’re going the right way when you see a Pidgeot in the way. Now, Ryoli only spawns in certain weather and only in the morning, which can make it quite difficult to spawn. You can of course use the bench method to spawn Riolui until you get a shiny, but most of the time you’re not actually spawning him, which makes this shiny hunt AFK process a lot longer than usual. It is possible it’s just going to take you a longer time to do. So, what we are going to do is reset the day and night cycle until we get a Rayolu. It will spawn in the distance and you’ll easily spot it. Now, head around the buildings towards Ryolu. We are actually going to take him out, but before we do that, save the game just in case something goes wrong. Now take out Ryolu and save the game. And as soon as you hear that fainting sound, start your stopwatch and time 5 minutes. It roughly takes Ryoli 5 minutes to spawn in. So we are going to wait for those 5 minutes and just before the 5 minutes is up, save the game as close to the time in which Ryoli spawns in. This will allow you to actively open and close the game until you get a shiny. This can take a while and it heavily relies on your luck to spawn in a shiny Ryolu. But this, in my opinion, is the quickest way to shiny hunt for them. So just go in the distance and keep opening and closing the game until you spawn a shiny. The cool thing is Ryolu can in fact also be an alpha. So you do have that chance of also spawning in a sha. I spent about 4 hours opening and closing my game until I got a shiny. I personally used an ultra ball to match the golden black and caught it in my first attempt. Now, in order to evolve Ryoli as fast as possible into Lucario, all you need to do is make sure it’s daytime. So, visit a bench and restart the day so you have more daytime on your hands. Then, visit a cafe, buy whatever drink you want, and just exit. Repeat this process four times, and your Ryoli should now be ready to evolve into Lucario after the fourth drink. And now you have yourself a shiny Lucario, ready for when a DLC comes out. And along with Lucario, spoiler warning, there are also going to be four more other Pokemon which will be receiving a new mega evolution. We can all catch these Pokemon right now in a legend base game. And one of those Pokémon is Gibble as Megaar Chomp along with Absol Meow Stick will also be receiving brand new mega evolutions. There is a new and very fast method of catching shiny Gibble in Legends EA. And this method could spawn up to three shiny Gibbles at once, plus a variety of other awesome shiny Pokémon. And guys, it 100% works for all Switch 2 users. I’ve tested them multiple times and here’s how to do it. Quick shout out to both Papa Hefe and Panro Games for their guides. Their channels are awesome, so go check them both out. I’m making this quick and easy guide, so if you are limited on time, this will be a perfect opportunity to follow my quick video. We’re going to start off by flying to zone 8 and make sure it’s a brand new morning as we need as much time as possible in setting this up. This is where you will constantly fly back and forth into the zone until you spot an alpha drill in one of the front holes. Once you have an alpha drill, you will need to guide it towards the entrance of the wild zone. Exit the wild zone, save the game, and then close and open it back up. Then enter the wild zone and wait until the alpha drill uses dig. As soon as you see the alpha drill preparing the dig attack, walk out the zone and wait for him to spawn right next to you. This is where you will hard save the game, close it, and open it back up. Now, when you open the game back up, you will now need to guide Drill all the way up the stairs and make him hit the break point. This is where the alpha drill will run back towards the entrance. Now, instead of saving the game, you will need to run back with him until he reaches the second flight of stairs. Once he reaches that second flight of stairs, that’s where you will hard save the game and close it. When you open the game back up, you will now have to pinpoint drill’s exact location on the map. And this is very important. Make sure he doesn’t follow you. You will need to run back yourself towards where we were running to before. 65 m away from alpha drill. This is where you will hard save the game and close it. When you open the game back up, your alpha drill should still be there. And your main mission now is to guide him back towards the wild zone entrance. So just get him to follow you back. And as soon as he’s there, enter the wild zone, hard save the game, and exit the game again. Once you open the game back up, you will have to pinpoint Alpha Drillbird’s location right at the start of the entrance and then run back towards the other side of the wild zone around 70 m or so. This is where you will essentially spawn a guaranteed gibble hole in the wild zone because when you’re running back, you will see another hole appear in the area. That right there has now confused the game. And in return, they have guaranteed you a gibble spawn every time you enter the area. And yes, the gible will be there forever, so long as you don’t catch or take out any of the drill birds. And the same with the gible. Exit the wild zone and just fly back into it. You can now fly spawn into the area multiple times trying to shiny hunt for that guaranteed gible. And you don’t need to worry about the day and night cycle anymore, so long as you’re not attempting another gible spawn. But in this case, we are because we want three or more guaranteed gibbles. So, exactly how we did the first process of spawning and bringing the alpha job to the entrance, then using the 65 m method and bringing him back to the entrance so we could spawn another hole. You will repeat this two more times totaling three guaranteed gibble spawns. Once again, I repeat, do not take out any of the drill birds. Doesn’t matter if it’s shiny, just leave them to be. Do not catch or take them out as it will ruin the whole process. So once you complete those three steps, you will have at least three guaranteed gibble spots in the wild zone, allowing you to shiny hunt gibble very fast. And all you have to do now is just fly back and forth the wild zone until you spot a shiny. And not only can you spawn a shiny gible, but in fact a shiny drill, a shiny Machop, a shiny alpha cam, and many more. This method is so broken once you set it up. The shiny hunting process took me less than 10 minutes, and I legit spawned all those shinies within that time frame. Next up, we have shiny Absol. Travel to Jean Pokémon Center where you’ll find these stairs. Climb up the right side and run towards this ladder. Climb the ladder and follow this path towards the location where Absol resides. Now, just glide towards Absol before he sees you and accidentally falls down. On top of that section, you’ll come across some benches which we are actually going to use to AFK shiny hunter Absol and so many other shinies. The method is so simple yet so rewarding. You will of course need a turbo controller for this AFK method as you’re going to set your controller to automatically press a button whilst you touch a rubber band to the left side of your Joy-Con. This will allow you to go to bed or do whatever you want. And when you get back several hours later, you should have a shiny Absol. I was lucky enough to spawn in a shiny alpha absole, which of course is just dependent on your luck. But you should at least be able to spawn in a regular shiny Absole at the bare minimum. And not only are you able to spawn a shiny Absole, but there are legit so many other shinies you can obtain around the area. I’m telling you guys, this area is so broken. And you can even spawn shinies in Wild Zone 19, including shiny fur throws. I unfortunately didn’t end up spawning a shiny Dratini during my time being AFK, but you do also have that chance of getting a shiny Dratini. But I’ll still take the elemental monkeys anyways as now I was able to spawn all three of them. Next up, we have shiny Pichu and shiny Alpha Pikachu. Both shiny Alpha Pikachu and Shiny Pichu are actually very easy to hunt in Pokémon Legends Z8. And if you’re preparing to have a shiny Mega Raichu on your team for the DLC, then this is the perfect guy to get in your shiny Gorichu as fast as possible. Starting off with the AFK method for shiny hunting Pichu. Pichu could be found in zone one, right at the end where he’s divided from other Pokémon. Hi. And opposite where Pichu resides is the Pokemon research lab. This lab is the source which will allow you to AFK shiny hunt Pichu. The lab allows you to go back and forth the entrance and exit whilst also spawning a new Pichu every single time. And so all you have to do is continuously go back and forth the research lab entrance and spawn Pichu back to back until you get a shiny. Now, the AFK process comes into play by using a turbo controller to automatically press the A button for you whilst you attach a rubber band downwards to the left joystick of your controller. This way, you can go do whatever you want and in an hour or so, you can come back and hopefully you get a shiny. The shiny Pichu appeared for me just after an hour of being AFK. But be aware, this shiny Pichu runs away from you when you get too close. So once you enter zone one and go towards the black ladder where Pichu resides, just after you drop down to catch Pichu, I highly recommend saving the game and getting whichever Pokéball you want to use, ready for Pichu’s fate. Now using the L2 button, lock in and aim at Pichu. Drop down while still aiming and midair just throw the Pokeball of your choice. This, in my opinion, is one of the best ways of catching a Pichu without him noticing. Now, in order to evolve Pichu into Pikachu and then finally Raichu as fast as possible, just head to the Stone Emporium near Vernal Pokémon Center where you could buy a Thunder Stone for only 3,000 yen. And next to the Stone Emporium is a cafe. Head to the cafe and buy whatever drink you want. It doesn’t matter because all we have to do now is just exit. And then repeat this process four times until Pichu is ready to evolve. Doing this trick will allow you to max out Pichu’s happiness in less than a minute. And therefore, we can now evolve Pichu into Pikachu. And then of course use the thundersstone to evolve Pikachu into Raichu. And by the way, there is also a good chance of the Pichu spawning as an alpha. So if you manage to get yourself a shiny Alpha Pichu, then there’s no need to hunt for that shiny Alpha Pikachu. But if you don’t, then here’s how to shiny hunt for shiny Alpha Pikachu the quickest and easiest way possible. There is one guaranteed alpha Pikachu that resides on a rooftop in zone 6. And in order to spawn and despawn this alpha Pikachu as fast as possible, you will have to run from zone 6 towards an area with stairs. Once you reach those stairs, you will see a man with the worst haircut possible. And in the distance, the Alpha Pikachu. And all you have to do now is just run back and forth the stairs, spawning a new alpha Pikachu every 7 seconds. Unfortunately, although the process is easy to manage, it could be long and tedious. I ended up spending 4 hours hunting for that shiny alpha Pikachu. But I guarantee you this is the quickest and easiest way. A shiny Pikachu, in my opinion, is a lot easier to spot than a shiny Pichu. A shiny Pikachu is a lot darker than its regular color. And the cool part is is that when you do hunt for shiny Alpha Pikachu using this method, there are loads of other shiny Pokémon you might encounter along the way. The easiest way of hunting for shiny espert is in zone 3. You guys have probably already seen this trick, right? Well, if you haven’t, let me introduce you to the stairs method. Just run up and down these stairs for an hour or so. And you can, of course, do this whilst being AFK. Just attach a rubber band to the left side of your joystick and have fun. And when you’re ready, head over to check your shinies. So, once you find and catch shiny Esper, evolve it, and have it ready for the Legends EA DLC. In a DLC, there are of course going to be new Pokémon, which we will have so much fun shiny hunting. So, make sure you have some cool balls lined up. You can obtain some rare perky balls by ranking up in online battles. It’s actually very easy to rank up now as you are guaranteed to gain points every match so long as you participate in defeating your opponents. That way, the only way for you to go is up. Other than those balls, of course, make sure you stock up on plenty other regular balls at both the Pokémon Centers and the Pokeballout where they actually have some nice other balls available. Pokémon in the DLC will be extremely powerful. So, of course, make sure to max out your Pokémon to level 100. There are many ways of doing this as quickly and efficiently as possible. And one of them could be defeating Pokémon in the wild zones. These four wild zones are the best for leveling up your Pokémon as fast as possible in Legend ZA. The first location is Wild Zone 17, which contains a pride of Pyro and a Skarmmory. But be aware, they are extremely dangerous. The zone even has a statue of Pyro, so you know not to mess with them. But today we are going to mess with them by using any strong watertype Pokémon that has the ability to learn the move surf. Now surf can be obtained from Mabel’s research at level 29 and is a very powerful move that can hit multiple opponents at the same time. For this zone I chose to specifically use for alligator as he can also mega evolve. So it makes the process a lot easier. One important thing to note is that the pride of lions sleep at night. So, if you do want an easier method to flood these lions, I would highly recommend switching the time zone to night using a bench and then sneaking up on the pyro and obliterating them all at once. And trust me when I say when they asleep, they are in some deep sleep. This method should allow you to farm XP candies from the alpha and also gain very good XP from the wild Pokémon. The second wild zone is known as wild zone 13, which is the easiest wild zone to clear out of the four. It has a load of bargain grass type Pokémon, meaning all you need is firet type moves. The best Pokémon I suggest bringing is someone like Charizard, who is extremely powerful and also knows flying type moves. There are usually three different alpha Pokémon that spawn in this wild zone. Those are Alpha Trevenant, hello, Weeping Belt, and Heracross. Obviously, there are more different Pokémon that can spawn as alphas, but those are the main three. I gave Charizard the moves, flamethrower, fire blast, fire fang, and air slash. Those will all oneh hit KO the wild Pokémon so long as your Charizard is of decent level. Also, do be aware of Alpha Trevenant as he has moves like Rock Slide that can deal very high damage to Pokemon like Charizard. So, when you get an opportunity, defeat him as fast as possible. This Wild Zone is great for just spamming Charizard back to back and there is also a Pokémon Center right near the zone. So, if you need to heal your Pokémon, then you can do so very easily. The third Wild Zone and my favorite on the list is Wild Zone 15. Now, in comparison to Wild Zone 13, Wild Zone 15 is personally the hardest to clear on this list, but is also very fun to try clear at the same time. It contains a load of different alpha Pokémon. But luckily for us, all we need again is a Pokémon like Charizard, as most of the Pokémon that spawn, if not all, are bug type Pokémon. This does, of course, change once the day hits night as the typings change to a more ghostly themed area. So, make sure you bring more Pokémon as backup. I would personally suggest bringing Pokémon like Salamaments or Escadril that are very powerful and learn moves that can one-shot the wild enemies. This area is great for farming quick XP candies as there’s usually a bunch of alphas all in the same facility, but it also makes it quite difficult to stay alive as you’ll just have a bunch of wild Pokémon in a circle all trying their best to take you down. So, I would highly recommend using the entire Wild Zone area to your advantage. Spread out and take them all on one by one. or you could just be brave enough to go in straight for the spree head first and no regrets. And the last wild zone on this list is number 20. Now, of course, this area has the strongest Pokémon in the game, and unlike the other areas I mentioned, there is no specific typing for this area. The Pokémon are all random, and most could be hard to defeat, but the rewards are worth the effort. The main center of the area usually contains two very strong alpha Pokémon. And for this area, I can’t really recommend taking any specific Pokémon as the alphas could be so different to each other that you just can’t predict what’s going to appear next. Although, I personally always bring a Pokémon like Excadrill with me at all times as this Pokémon is so good against basically everything. It hits hard, it attacks fast, and it’s all around a great Pokémon to have and use. And it also hits strong wild Pokémon like Gardevoir, Lucario, and Aggron pretty well. So, definitely consider bringing one with you on your team. This wild zone could be the slowest for farming XP, but as I said, it is very rewarding. So, it kind of balances the time taken versus what you get out of it. Let me know down in the comment section below which wild zone you enjoy clearing the most. And then another method could be farming mega shards. This is how to max out and get 999 mega shards in one day cycle in Pokémon Legends EA and level up your Pokémon as fast as possible. We are going to start off at Quzico. And if you turn around, you’ll see a mega shard in the distance. Walk towards it and you’ll notice two buildings next to each other full of mega shards across the walls. And to prove to you guys that you can max out your mega shards in just one day cycle, I went ahead and completely sold every single mega shard I had before attempting to show you this method. I started with zero, and now you will see me max out my mega shards. Of course, you will need to buy out the pinker plushies and max it out to level three. So, I will insert a quick clip from my previous video I did on how to max out the canary plushies for those who are interested. Now, there’s a few things you need to prepare in order to maximize this farming method. One of which being collecting colorful screws because you will then need to trade your screws with this guy found outside of racing construction. Who has pink Canari plushies for sale? These will increase the number of mega shards you’ll find after smashing mega crystals. You will need 16 colorful screws in order to buy out the pink and plushies. I didn’t have enough here to buy out, so I just upgraded it twice. Now, there’s a few specific locations which allow you to farm mega crystals at a fast rate. The main one being the city center where you could go around the tower and break all the crystals around it. Unfortunately, spoiler warning, post game, those crystals no longer exist around the tower. Instead, it’s the last wild zone we unlock. So, if you find yourself in that postgame situation, then luckily for you, I have a few location suggestions which you can visit. But first, you will need a fast attacking Pokémon to help you out. And my go-to would be Riolu. Now, back to smashing. Once you are done smashing these two walls and any other shards around the area, your next place of interest is going to be a hotel Z, where you’ll find a ladder that will take you up to the rooftop. Climb the ladder and drop straight down. Here, you’ll find some shards on your way to the big hit. Smash all these shards and then continue moving forward towards the main area of shards. Here you’ll find a bunch of them lying around. Stay in that area and smash them. Now go back to where you are coming from. Take the first right turn and then glide towards the other end. There will be some crystals on your way as well. So make sure you smash those two. Now there will be a ladder right next to you. Climb that ladder. Smash any crystals along that rooftop. Come back around and then drop down to this area where you might see a deli bird running around. In that area there are loads of mega shards available for you to smash. Go ahead and smash them. And after looking at the total, we already have 435 mega shards that we’ve collected. And so the next area you want to go to is in between blue sector 4 and espers. Fly towards the rust syndicate and we’ll go from there. Once you arrive, take a right turn and then take another right turn up these stairs. Of course, smash any crystals along the way. Once you go up those stairs, there will be an alleyway where there are a ton of mega shards available. Smash them all. And as you can see, we’ve already collected 572 shards. And this next area is where we will end it. If you go back down to those stairs where we came from in the distance, you will see a hollow beta. Go towards it and smash any crystals along the way. Now take it up and head towards the left side of the rooftop. You will find mega shards on your way straight down. And then you will come across a ladder. Take the ladder and you’ll find yourself in a pool of shards. Smash everything and then glide towards this area. Keep moving forward and smash any crystals along the way. Now, on your way back, you will see a long bridge. Go across it and then just run around the rooftop smashing crystals. In a distance, you will see a building next to the Pokémon Center with loads of crystals on it. So, now we are going to go towards there. There will be mega shards along the way. So, of course, smash them. Towards the Pokémon Center, there’s a road with a woman and her Dratini. Head towards her direction, and there will be mega shards in the middle of the buildings. You can, of course, keep heading straight down and smash any mega crystals in that area, but then come back to the middle part where you’ll see a ladder. Climb it and go around the rooftop until you reach this man with blonde hair wearing a suit. There is jackpot. Loads of crystals for you to smash. And as you can see here, we’ve now maxed out our mega shards and done it all just before the night closes in. So now we can head back to Quartico, sell our crystals, and by the time we reach there, all the crystals would have respawned again, allowing you to constantly redo this method without any hassle. Just like I mentioned a few minutes ago, I would also recommend going after all the colorful screws you can find all over Lumio City, as these will just make your life a lot easier when doing certain things in the game, like catching or defeating Pokémon after you trade with the Canary guy. So yeah, deers, make sure you get those done. And the last thing I want to mention is planning out and hunting for your Mega Dimension team. Those will be the six Pokémon that you will take with you to hyperspace. Of course, you can shiny hunt them as it will be a lot cooler to have a full team of shiny Pokémon. I personally actually shiny hunted for my DLC team and made a shiny hunter video on my channel. So, if you guys want to check it out, go ahead and watch it. It’s a really good video. But other than that, hope you guys have fun preparing for the DLC and I’ll see you in the next video. Peace.
