GTA Online Mansions Prices LEAKED…Downloading Early, Rockstar’s NEW Update & MORE!
We’ve got some new information to talk about regarding the mansions DLC in Grand Theft Auto Online, including the prices of these big luxury properties, whether or not you’re going to be able to preload the game onto your consoles or your systems, and a whole lot more. So, the Safe House in the Hills update is arriving in just a few short hours, and we have some new details on some of the contents that’s going to be arriving in this massive expansion, including what is likely going to be the price of the mansions. So, Rockstar Games is handing out Christmas gifts to a bunch of news sites and media outlets and journalists and other personalities, and they’re actually doing so kind of in honor of a safe house in the hills. At least that’s what according to their note says on the packages that many people received. And alongside that, there was also this email that was sent out. Grand Theft Auto money down payment for Rockstar creators and fan channels. If you’re receiving this email, thank you for your longtime support. Please feel free to reply with your Rockstar ID and preferred platform by December 8th, which is when I’m recording this video, and we’ll provide you with a $20 million lump sum for your first luxury property in time for launch as a token of our appreciation for your support. All the best, the Rockstar Games community team. So, it seems like at least at a minimum, these brand new mansions are going to cost upwards of $20 million. And they could be even more than that. I’m going to say that $20 million is honestly probably on the low end just based on what a Rockstar Games has shown us so far, all the features of these big luxury properties. It’s way more than I thought it was going to be. but also number two, how much discount Rockstar Games was giving us before the update arrived. I told you that the $2 million bonus that they gave us was probably only going to be around about 10 or 15%. And it turns out I was right. 10% off of $20 million is $2 million. And then of course, Rockstar Games gave us like an extra $1 million bonus on top of that. So it should not be surprising at all that that’s how much these are. But this is essentially a confirmation that the new mansions are going to cost upwards of $20 million. And remember, you ended up getting that discount by completing the new listings missions that were available in Grand Theft Auto Online over the last couple of weeks. They were the sort of teasers that Rockstar Games threw out. Well, it looks like those have actually now been removed. Just a few hours ago, again, when I’m recording this video, it’s early in the morning on Monday, December 8th. Rockstar Games have actually removed the new listing missions from the game. They seemingly updated their tunables, and that’s because these missions were only supposed to go until December 7th. It’s a little odd that they’re not going all the way up until the actual release date of the DLC, but Rockstar Games have removed the teaser missions from the game. So, if you haven’t done them, unfortunately, you’ve lost the opportunity and you’ve also lost that opportunity to get that bonus money and the discount on these properties. Now, another change that Rockstar Games made alongside removing the new listings missions is they changed the cars and the luxury auto car dealership, and that’s the only other thing they’ve done. So, previously it was the Bravado Banshee GTS and the Ubermach Revolter, but now the Revolter has been swapped out for an Uber Machobi. Again, I don’t know what Rockstar Games is up to here. Seems like a weird change. Maybe it’s something that’s kind of done on a schedule and they didn’t even know it was going to happen. But either way, if you notice that it’s not just you, it’s been done for everyone. Now, one thing that’s also a little bit strange is the release date of this DLC. It’s coming out on Wednesday, December 10th. That’s not really traditionally when Rockstar puts out updates for Grand Theft Auto Online. It’s always usually on a Tuesday. In fact, that’s when we traditionally thought the update was going to be coming out just based on the way the GTA Plus event week was set to expire. It was set to expire today. And that would have made sense because after today, it would have been Tuesday. Tomorrow, the update would have come out. But we’ve seemingly got this like one extra random day. We don’t know what Rockstar Games essentially needed that extra 24 hours for. But it is going to be coming out now on again Wednesday, December 10th. But it also looks like Rockstar Games has updated the GTA Plus stuff. It’s no longer going to expire today. It’s going to go all the way up to Wednesday. Someone asked Rockstar Games Insider Text 2 who said, “Is GTA Plus changing tomorrow, a day before the launch?” And he said, “Nope, it’s changing on Wednesday along with the DLC’s launch.” So, that part is interesting. Again, I have no idea why Rockstar Games decided to do that. Maybe it had nothing to do with them. Maybe it was more so an issue with the platforms they have to update the game on like Sony and the PlayStation 5, Microsoft and the Xbox Series X and S, Steam on the PC or whatever the case might be. And speaking of that, what’s also interesting and something that’s lacking from this year’s update as compared to updates of the past and updates of previous years is there’s no way to preload the game. at least yet. Again, when I’m recording this video, which is on Monday morning, and typically Rockstar Games make the preloads come out about 48 hours before, there is no way to preload the game on your console. In case you’ve never done that before, it essentially allows you to download like 99% of the update and then when the update time actually arrives, you download like the last little bit and then you’re good to go. It essentially saves you from downloading possibly at times gigabytes of files which could take a long time depending on your internet speed. Could be hours if not multiple hours. And that’s unfortunate if you’re excited about playing the update. All your friends are already on and you’re just sitting there waiting for the thing to download. That’s unfortunate. And that’s what Rockstar’s done in the past. And that’s what a lot of games have done in the past. Allowed you to sort of preload the game onto your console. But Rockstar has had some issues with that over the last couple of updates with a lot of leaked information getting out there. Uh these jailbroken consoles and systems when there’s a preload on there, it basically allows you to see inside the entire update early. So Rockstar probably thought to themselves, “Okay, we’re not going to do that anymore. We’ve already had enough issues with leaks. We are not going to let you preload this update.” And honestly, I don’t blame them. This sounds like a massive DLC, obviously from what we’ve seen so far with the big mansions, but the return of Michael de Santa as well, which is going to be huge. He is a fan favorite. Uh there seems to be so much going on in this update. Another thing that Rockstar is adding in this update is a new mission creator, which is coming to all versions of Grand Theft Auto Online. But alongside that, they’ve also updated their community resources as well. Essentially, their community guidelines. I’ll leave a link to it in the description. What it seems like they’re trying to prevent here is these missions being abused, whether it be in-game, like cheating or griefing, whether it be like uh through other aspects like harassing, bullying people, sending threats, or whether it be ensuring people’s safety from people trying to repromote real world events or anything like that. Uh I’ll leave a link to it in the description. I don’t know how many people are interested in it, but it is something that Rockstar Games just recently updated and you need to be aware of it because if you do break any of these rules, you will probably end up getting banned from Grand Theft Auto Online. I know Rockstar Games just actually banned a handful of people right before this update came out uh because they were probably doing some glitches in the game trying to get their bank accounts up so that they could probably afford uh these big mansions. So Rockstar’s on high alert right now. So just be careful. They will ban you if you are not following their rules. But anyways, that is all the information that I have got for you guys in this video today. Hopefully you did enjoy.
