NEW EXPEDITION 33 GOTY DLC IS INSANE New Simon & Verso’s Drafts
Expedition 33 did it, guys. They dropped the release date for the new content update DLC, and it’s right now, literally immediately after the Game Awards, they announced that the update is live. If you’re on PlayStation 5, I’ve been able to play it and get my ass kicked plenty of times in it. After winning a record-breaking nine awards, including game of the year, rightfully so. During the Game Awards, they announced on stage the new content is live right now and dropped a trailer for us to see that new content. Seriously, a masterpiece game. legendary devs and also very mean devs. They heard all the broken stuff that we were doing to their game and they sort of are delivering a form of payback to us with the new content area called Verso’s Draft located in the water to the left of Lumiere. They also updated the challenge towers, adding in more boss fights of familiar enemies with extra boss mechanics to absolutely torture us with. And yes, a divergent Simon included. And this dude is no joke. We cannot bully Simon anymore. He’s actually a skill check fight, meaning as of right now, you have to parry or dodge his initial attacks, and you cannot cheese him immediately with big damage builds. Divergent Simon, for one thing, doesn’t let you use first strike picto. It just does not work, and it will not let you take your turn first. Shortcut will not work either, and neither does revive paradox. He will always at least, as of right now recording this, take his turn first and will keep attacking unless you parry all your hits and you don’t have a teammate die or you don’t have shields on any teammates. This dude is insane. And when he does a strike, it’s basically a phase four Simon, meaning he can strike and mix you up, either doing a single strike or four strikes or even three strikes with a heavy delay. So far, there is a tell on which attack he is going to do. Now, behind him, you can see a set of lines before he strikes. And sometimes he does it as he strikes, which is pretty messed up. If there’s one line, that means he’s just going to be striking once. So, you only have to parry one at a time. But if there are multiple lines, depending on what there is, it could be two, three, or four lines. He will strike that many times. And what makes it even worse, each one of these lines have different delays depending on how far apart and also what colors the lines are. This is Bro, what what are we doing? I’m sorry, Sandfall. I’m sorry for what I have done. Please forgive me for I have sinned. But it’s crazy because sometimes you have to actively parry the first hit and then register mentally how many strikes are coming now because it doesn’t sometimes show you until you parry the first hit. His health pool is obviously way higher now, but also requires way more defensive pictos and overall more efficient parrying. A absolute true skill check, guys. Hit that subscribe button and notification bell to help raise that 30% even higher. And also check out our platinum video. We made a platinum movie for expedition 33. had a really great time editing it. Took me about two months to really finish it and it’s out right now. Really would appreciate you guys checking it out and let me know what you think in the comments below. And if you have any hype points, all right, on YouTube, you have hype points that you can use to help out creators or get their videos like jump started in the algorithm. Please use it on that video. It really does mean a lot. I appreciate you guys so much and I’m looking forward to more on this game. They’ve also given us some patch notes. So, patch 1.5 is officially live. Versos Drafts is a new playable environment taking the characters of E33 to a brand new location with new enemy encounters and new surprises to discover. It’s on the world map to the left of Lumiere, and you can only access it once you get to act three. SA’s underwater ability is also required because it’s technically underneath the water. New costumes as well for each member of Expedition 33. We got to see this highlighted in the the trailer, which is pretty cool. I like the CL outfit and the myel like maestro or like ring leader outfit is kind of cool. There’s also new boss battles for late game players to overcome in endless tower. There are variations of iconic bosses from the main game designed to be even more challenging. Yeah. So, aside from Simon who we already talked about, there’s also the lamp master who has even more crazier mechanics and sort of has the effect where you need to really take out his lamps because he will do bonus attacks every single time if you don’t take out those lamps, which is kind of crazy. And he also, funny enough, I almost killed him and then he fully healed himself like a jackass. So, I don’t know if that’s avoidable because my low damage pictos were my low damage and pictos were equipped. So, we’ll have to go back and double check exactly how that boss fight is. They also added new luminas and new weapons, which I’m going to be exploring a little bit more deeper in tomorrow when we fully play through the new area. But, chat was telling me there’s a new picto called minus AP where you basically can minus 1 AP and make moves cheaper to cast. So, those moves that are like 1 AP, you can make them cost zero or essentially nothing to actively use, which is pretty great. And as far as weapons goes, we definitely have to look through that because some of that stuff will probably help us out with Simon tremendously. I mean, going into fighting him now, you definitely want to be at least a new game plus two to really have a more efficient time against him. But overall, it’s a pretty fun fight what they have at the moment. They also move the old key quest item to the final area of the game where before you kind of got locked out of getting all the journals, now you can actually access it in the final area, which is pretty cool. So, a lot of people that haven’t been able to platinum the game or haven’t started New Game Plus have been avoiding it because of the old key quest item, but you can actually get it now in late game. That’s great. Photo mode looks awesome, by the way. I love the way that you can zoom in. It’s so fantastically done. Most other games Final Fantasy need to take notes that yes, we want to zoom in on these characters and see much more than having them disappear in the background. And you can also move the lighting around as we saw in the trailer, which is awesome. And Luminina sets. I didn’t think they would do this, but we could actually make 50 different Luminina loadouts to adapt for characters, which is such a godsend. We needed that for the longest time. Now, we could just create different loadouts, which I will be doing for my Simon runs and try to perfect them. And this will be really great to set up for you guys. So, I’m looking forward to that as well. And the abandon battle option, too. Sometimes if I got hit by a Simon blow that I didn’t want to tank, you can just immediately abandon the battle in the middle of it and then retry from there instead of having to wait for the fight to end. So, that’s also great, too. They added FSR support, which is great. And frame generation as well for FSR4 accessible GPUs. New filters for Picto and Luminous improved the UI. It does look different. It does have a different look to the UI. Yeah, now there are some nerfs, of course, there are some nerfs. This is a pretty brutal nerf right here. So, fix breaking death, always breaking all enemies when the character dies. Now, it’s only going to break the enemy that killed that character. As a result, it shouldn’t work when characters kill themselves anymore. So, auto death to break death manipulation that we were doing before is no longer going to work the same. And I tried it. It does not work the same. Uh, for example, the character does have to kill them in order to get broken. And yeah, it is what it is. I mean, I guess if it wasn’t supposed to work that way, it wasn’t supposed to work that way. And also, character’s turn order during a first strike triggered by attacking enemy on the map now correctly respects the character’s speed. So before you used to kind of be able to set it up with the flags which character you want to go one two or three depending on how you select them in the main menu. Now with first strike it’s dependent on the character speed. So that’s actually I would say that’s kind of a nerf cuz now you can’t guarantee the turn order. You actually have to look at the speed and adjust that per set per per character. Right. Uh the BAR weapon was giving 150% crit chance instead of 50%. So they’re they’re changing that. And also, yeah, uh they fixed a lot of the Luminas, man. There were a lot of Luminas before that were giving a raw 10% damage increase, like Sweet Kill, Teamwork, Dead Energy 2, uh First Strike, and others. I don’t know what the others are, but those are the four that I remember doing it. So, they they fixed that. So, no, those are no longer giving us extra damage. And there are more fixes coming as well. Sandfall, you mad lads. Congrats, man, to this dab team for winning all those awards. Absolutely deserved it. And I’m kind of happy that they did this because while we were having fun creating like broken builds and just cheesing, like not cheesing essentially, but just pushing the damage numbers to see how far we could take it. Now it’s at a point where we definitely have to deal with a lot of the games [ __ ] and certain things just won’t count anymore, like first strike for example. So maybe first strike will work on assignment, but we just need to get way more speed. So, we definitely have to play through the game and get other pick those and see what speed levels we can actually get because as of right now, from what I have at this current moment in the game, just regular play through one, not new game plus one. It’s kind of Yeah, Simon’s kind of rough right now. But overall, I’m really excited for this. I’m going to be bringing you guys more content tomorrow when we play through the Versos draft. I can’t wait. I probably going to be streaming that live. I’ll probably go live in the middle of the day to showcase that to you guys because that’s pretty exciting, man. And again, major shout outs to the devs. had a really fun night watching the game awards and just seeing them all. They all deserved it. Every single one of them were there uh to get this award, man. So, again, my hats off to Sandfall and uh also I I apologize for what we did to your game a couple months ago. This is our punishment now and I will do what I can making some updates uh across like Simon things that we figure out, right? Cuz he just dropped. So, there might be some new things that we can find, new pictos that might make the fight even easier. Be sure to like the video if you enjoyed and subscribe if you’re new. More clear obscure expedition 33 content is on the way. You don’t want to miss it. My name is Blitz and thanks for watching.
I AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 just updated the new content and added DLC fights. Harder Simon, verso’s drafts and more new content outfits and new weapons pictos and more. New builds coming in soon we need to find more pictos
