Will The Silksong DLC Use These HIDDEN Secrets?
Sunkong’s DLC has been announced, and I am hungry for more information. So, I decided to scour the internet for anything water related in these games. Between cut content, the developer sketchbooks, and some extremely niche sources, I found some pretty interesting stuff. So, let’s look at this potential Sea of Sorrow content. Okay, to begin, we have two assets that actually made it all the way into the game files. I’ve previously talked about how the memoriam has this taxiderermy fish, and I definitely expect that to be an enemy in the DLC, but the other asset is a new type of rosary that’s labeled as a pearl. Now, these could just be own versions of the white rosaries that give you 15 money. But given that we expect to be deep sea diving, I could definitely see these showing up. Okay, up next, we have a couple of aquatic sections from Ari’s design notebook. First, we have a page full of drawings of fish that seem to have some sort of explosive or electric attack. Now, one thing to remember is that there was a home coral gorge section development, and I don’t think any of that content will make it into Sea of Sorrow. And to me, these fish seem to belong more in that coral biome. So, I actually don’t expect to see these guys. That being said, there’s another page of the notebook that features drawings that fit much more with the kelp and seaweed vibe of Faroon Bay. So, three things to look at here. First, this drawing of seaweed reads under lake house, which obviously fits nicely with the idea that we’ll be going underwater. Then, we have a drawing of a house that’s on stilts above water, very similar to what we see in the old trailer. And then, finally, we have a drawing of a little NPC or an enemy that reads lake bug. Now, to be fair, this stuff could also be coral related. On the very next page of the notebook, there are drawings that are labeled Coral Lake Underside and Coral Lookout. So, it’s definitely possible that these won’t be in the Sea of Sorrow, but I still like the theory because of the seaweed looking so aesthetically relevant. Okay, and I have two more examples from sources that are extremely goofy, but this short is long enough already, so subscribe for part
This Silksong gameplay examines potential water-related content for the upcoming silksong sea of sorrow DLC, drawing information from game files and developer notes. We look at aquatic sections from a design notebook and discuss a creature that may appear as an enemy in the silksong dlc. This analysis of silksong lore also touches upon cut content and niche sources to speculate on the new content from team cherry for hollow knight.
