DESTROYING The Nightreign DLC as Undertaker
Hello everyone. Today I’m going be beating both of the brand new DLC Nightlords as the Undertaker. Undertaker has very quickly become my favorite character in the game. She lends herself super well to a hyperaggressive play style. Beautiful. See, look how nice the skill is, man. That’s what I’m saying. Situations like that and you just get away with stuff. Just being so greedy. Just cannot do that on other characters heavy. Yes. See, greeding and greed again and greed even more and then greed even more. great strength scaling, making her hit like a truck, and can constantly cheat out free alts, allowing you to spam skewer every boss to death. Yeah, I’m just going to play both of the bosses and talk about the DLC as I do it. This is more of a brief video, but yeah, this is basically what I’ve been doing for the last like week is playing Night Rain. I’m honestly having a hell of a lot of fun with the DLC. To a degree, it exceeded my expectations. I don’t know. I wasn’t expecting much for some reason. What I was expecting though that they didn’t do is adding in the DLC weapons. Like, I truly don’t understand that still why they didn’t add the DLC weapons in. I feel like it would have been very easy. I’m sort of anticipating them doing it eventually anyway, but I’m shocked that they’re not here. like I was fairly certain that they were going to have them. It just doesn’t make any sense to me. But aside from that, I’m pretty pleased with this. I think the the new map, it definitely has some problems and I think it’s it’s quite unintuitive to come into, but I do actually quite like it now. And honestly, the main thing for me is the characters. I really really like Undertaker in particular. This has very very quickly become my favorite character in the entire game who I want to play over everyone else basically every single game which is kind of incredible considering know I was already a big fan of a lot of the characters in the game but there’s just something really really nice about way she plays like having uh a button that essentially refills your entire stamina and just like instantly gives you all your stam back and the way her stat spread works out so that you can use a lot of strength stuff is really fun and she just feels fast and fluid and she has a nice roll and her alt is really really good. And being able to like refill her alt, even in solos, it’s good cuz you can refill it when you get uh the like special grab dodge, man. It feels so [ __ ] good. I really [ __ ] myself here, actually. I’ve like really really [ __ ] myself. You know what? Honestly, this situation is so bad. I’m just not fighting these two. I think it would be easier for me to go fight basically anything else. This boss over here is always Revenant for some reason. Now that I’ve said that, it’s not going to be Revenant. Oh, it’s Black Knife Assassin. Okay, well, it wasn’t Revenant. I’m very glad it wasn’t to be honest. I’m so sick of Revenant. I spent like an hour the other day trying to learn Revenant and still wasn’t able to do it. It was really pissing me off. So, you might notice a kind of significant increase in quality in these videos cuz I’m now recording in 1440p because I got a new computer which was actually given to me by Ironside, which is a company that makes custom PCs and custom PC cases. So, this thing also looks like really crazy. I think I have some footage of me unboxing it. It’s got like a nice like wooden slatted front and then the side panel is sort of like stained glass window where it’s got like uh flowers and leaves. It’s really really pretty and like an engraving on the top. >> Oh [ __ ] >> That’s me. >> That’s crazy. >> That is crazy. >> This is probably the first time also that I’ve had an actually good PC. I mean, my previous PCs weren’t bad. It’s just like they weren’t, you know, top of the range or anything. But this thing is like actually crazy. So, I was I was testing it just after unboxing it uh by like going to laggiest places in Elder Ring. I had all the settings like completely cranked, max rate tracing and everything with FPS uncapped so I could see that. And yeah, I mean it was just like a rock solid 140 plus FPS the entire time. I think the the wildest one is I went to PCR Arena and he did the meteor attack. Obviously, this is all like notoriously insanely laggy. And I, you know, I’ve seen my FPS on my old computer drop to like 40 here. And it was I think it dropped to 80 or something or or 90, which is just insane on max rate tracing. Like, that’s just unreal. So, yeah, if you’re in the market for a new computer, Ironside. Also, I believe they’re giving away one of their computers in their brand new case. So, the thing with this map that I feel like makes it kind of unintuitive to begin with, at least is the crystals being such a big deal. Cuz what ended up happening with me at least is early on I was really struggling on this map to get anything to happen. And I think it’s cuz I was playing it as if it was a new map when in reality it plays a lot more like a shifting land does. As in there’s very consistent elements to the map every single time. Like how in a shifting land you essentially take the same route on every run. It’s kind of similar here. Like there’s things you need to do every run, i.e. crack the crystals. This jit cracks crystals before day two ideally to actually make the run happen. If you haven’t played any of the DLC or like you haven’t played much of it and you don’t know how it works, basically you run around the world and you resonate with the crystals that are in set spots, but sometimes they spawn, sometimes they don’t. And once you’ve resonated with three of them in single player, or I think it’s four of them in multiplayer, the big crystal in the middle cracks. And that makes it so when you go to these castles on the edges of the arena which have like the vast majority of the loots on the map, you don’t lose half of your health. So yeah, once you figure that out, the map does uh run a bit better. Surprisingly, shockingly, when you actually have a chance of getting any of the [ __ ] on the map, it plays a lot better. So yeah, once I realized that and I understood kind of how the map played, I think it actually plays reasonably well. But it is sort of like it is definitely a shifting land, you know what I mean? It’s not a new map in its entirety, which is okay. I still think for a shifting land, it’s definitely the most in-depth one. There’s more variety here than you get with all of the other ones combined. So, I’m not too disappointed by that. I’m also going to grab this crystal up here quickly so we can just have three really easily. It’s just kind of a slow rotation, but I think we’ll be fine. Something I have been considering a bit more is maybe just going to the castle insanely early. Like going there nowish, like cracking crystals instantly and then heading straight there instead of what I’ve been doing, which is essentially fighting random world bosses. Oh, that’s Rev. Yeah, I’m avoiding that obviously. It’s fighting random world bosses for night one and then doing castle or like the boss towers for night two. I think that could honestly just be a better strategy than what I’ve been doing. This is a good boss to see, by the way. And we don’t have fire damage, but we should be fine. Okay, I will frost though. That’s the thing. Oh, there’s another one here. I could have routed way more efficiently. Huge. See, this is why Undertaker feels so good as well. And like you can repost here, and this is going to drain all my SAM, but I’m just going to instantly pop the ability so I can get it all back. Such a nice weapon pool too with the clubs as preferred weapon. Also, if you’re wondering, I am kind of running the broken relic right now from Undertaker’s Remembrance, which has the success of attacks increased damage perk, which is essentially like permanently having a thorny crack tier up, which is obviously completely broken, like so so overpowered that it’s basically the best thing to use on every character. I don’t know why they’ve cooked the numbers like that. Maybe they just don’t care. Or they’re just going to nerf it, which is kind of what I’m expecting them to do, which is why I’m using it while I have it cuz I’ve kind of missed out on all the OP [ __ ] in this game cuz they nerfed uh Grab Blade Great Sword and Marius Executioner Sword, which was the OP [ __ ] in the game. And the crazy thing about those weapons is I played I don’t know 200 plus hours of this game uh before those weapons got nerfed and I didn’t personally drop them once. I saw zero of either of them which is crazy. Like I literally didn’t get them a single time. And you might be like, “Oh, okay. Well, you probably didn’t play like Wild Earth.” No, I did play Wild. He’s my most played character. I just got insanely unlucky there. So now that I have another OP thing that may get nerfed, I’m I’m taking advantage of it while I have the chance. Okay, I’m actually pretty weak right now. We are right next to the boss though. I could maybe take something on quickly. Red wolf is sort of slow. Deathright bird. We do have holy damage. Okay, you know what? I have two holy bots, but I can immediately get hit. Okay, I have breful strike on this though, which I should use. This should do massive damage. That’s really not that much. I would be doing more with this. I might have picked the worst possible option because this is like also the boss I’m worst at. Nice. Okay, actually he’s dead. I don’t even know if you can beat these guys either. I’m pretty sure they don’t spawn a grace. This was like This was not a good choice, Loki. That’s kind of useful, though. H I’ve put myself in an awkward position, though, cuz I like if I had a Grace here, that would be really good. Maybe I can really quickly kill Red Wolf or something. I might just throw the run at this rate, which would be annoying cuz I just spent ages talking about a bunch of stuff. Yeah, I’m not killing that [ __ ] Maybe I can drag him over actually. He’s coming very far out. At this rate though, his grace is so far away. I’m not going to be able to level regardless. Okay, well that also works. I kind of [ __ ] myself here. If I just killed Red Wolf instead of going for the deathright bird, I would have been completely fine. Well, depending on who this is, I might just be okay anyway. Ooh, it’s demon princess. Ooh. Okay, this is looking very rough. Actually, this is looking like a dead run. They have very, very difficult end of day bosses in the DLC as well for some reason. Like, Demon Princes is genuinely a very tricky one. I’m going to use this. Oh, I instantly got hit by that. Okay, I kind of got to lock in here. I kind of wanted to see if I can hit both of them there. Sort of just ended up looking really greedy. Okay. Well, we’re out of that guy’s face. So ideally here, ideally here we kill the darker one first, but that tends to not be uh an option that we have very often because the other one starts agg brid first. Okay. I kind of find this bit honestly more awkward than when both of them are aggro. When both of them are spitting poison. Yeah, that was a bit greedy from me, but you know what? I’ll take it. I’m honestly just going to him as well. Oh, that’s that’s actually really brutal. I almost died there. I’m just going to make some distance here. Yeah, especially with that on the way. I feel like I’ve genuinely played this kind of well, which is surprising. Just going to run. Okay, good. Oh, I missed that. How do I miss that? That’s the one thing about the unique move set on Undertaker clubs is I feel like I miss a vast amount more charge heavies than I like what how does that miss actually? Okay, I’m okay. You know what? That’s honestly just on me. I greet it. But like also, how does that miss? Also, like as much as Demon Princes does actually work really, really well for this, there are a couple of small problems I have with it in Night Rain that are like Night Rain specific problems with the fights and not problems with the fight in Dark Souls 3. And one of them is that the arena is kind of way too small. And the other one, okay, that should not have missed. That’s for damn sure. Uh, the other one is that the way the aggro works in this game, because the game tries to make it so two enemies aren’t aggroed on you at the same time, kind of conflicts with the way the aggro works in this fight normally. Basically, what will happen is sometimes the one that is supposed to be the aggressive one, as in the one who’s like on fire, will be passive and then the one that’s shooting poison will be aggressive, even though it’s supposed to be the other way round because the night rain AI is conflicting with how the boss normally works. Anyway, we survived that, which is interesting. Kind of don’t deserve to survive that, but whatever. I I I played the fight okay, I guess. I think this run can be pretty decent, actually, then just cuz we have our crystal sorted so early. We can kill this red wolf. instantly tries to frame trap me by the way. What a [ __ ] Oh, don’t triple jump backwards. What is he doing, man? Did he just fall? What the I’ve never seen this before. Oh my god, man. What are you doing? If you don’t fight me. No, I didn’t get it. Just die. Thank you. The endless red wolf fight. Holy [ __ ] Are we going to just take this? Is there a grace? Thank you. Oh, beautiful. Instant level 9. And then we fly over to the crystal. Grab the ability. And then the question is, where do you go? We’ve got shitty bird enemies here. We’ve got [ __ ] godskin nobles here. I think this is a fight the towers type seed. Honestly, I really like the way this part plays though. Like day two, I think does actually work very well where you sort of evaluate what you’ve got here. Like you go, okay, I’ve got like I’ve got a a holy big castle, so I’m going to get XYZ enemies. Like I’m going to get the uh onsent enemies and then I’ve got the magic castle, so it’s going to be god skin. And let’s do the boss towers where, you know, you just pick whichever selection of um enemy move sets that you feel the most confident in. It’s kind of unfortunate. Okay. Every time, man, that always gets me. It’s kind of unfortunate here that we’re on holy damage considering he’s so resistant. I mean, it’s still mostly physical, but see, it’s a lot of a lot of bosses like these where I find the ability comes in so handy to just restore all of my FP at once. It’s like actually insanely useful. Big like right there for example. Also, if we get some good attacks here, we can get a lot of free alts like that. And then we just instantly all again. Cops. Oh, wow. That was very lucky. I’m not going to lie. But this character is so [ __ ] busted. When you get a enemy that does a lot of grab attacks, I feel like it’s just there’s no other character in the game that’s as strong. Like even Duchess, cuz you’re just cheating out so much free damage. And honestly, the uh the invulnerability thing too, if you don’t know already, which you probably do, uh when Undertaker uses her skill, she can hold it down and then use her alt at the same time. And it gives her essentially just invulnerability for like I don’t know 40 50 seconds, which is really [ __ ] overpowered. I don’t need to explain why. It’s just obviously overpowered [ __ ] Um, like that’s so broken to have that much range as well. Like you can have the invulnerability and you can have the burst damage alts and you can refresh it. Oh, dude, this character is just busted. I [ __ ] love playing her so much. Um, I think I’m going to just take over. Kind of overthinking that. Yeah, we got circle from the other side. This is kind of what I expected. I tend to go to this side first so I can just get some stuff done here cuz circle is usually over here. I don’t know if that’s always true, but tends to be. Yeah, this is the bit that I feel like flows really well. This teleporter between them makes it all feel really nice cuz it’s kind of like the whole map works in layers. Like you build up as you go. The only problem I have with it, this like day two part of the map, is that actually rotating to the crystal in the middle to get your buff is kind of a pain in the ass. Like there’s not really that many options to get there. I still think this is one of the one of the harder bosses just in the game. Full stop. Honestly, I’m just going to be really aggressive. Nice. And you’re getting aled. Bye. You think it staggers? The fact that that didn’t stagger is kind of unbelievable. I hit some random enemy. There we go. I always miss my [ __ ] repost on Gilica, so I’m trying to get an extra hit in for free. Such a greedy bastard. There we go. Just take it. I also have the really [ __ ] overpowered uh drag lord relic on right now, which gives you scarlet rot anytime you get hit. That is just such a stupid thing to put in the game. I’m not going to lie. Uh I’m not sure what they were thinking about that one. It is fun though. I will say that it is very fun, but like come on now. Imagine if I had that for the level one run. That would have made everything way simpler. It just would have instantly been the best thing to put on. Although I guess I have to take damage for it, which is kind of a problem, but okay. It’s a It’s a good one to get. No charges or nope. Here’s a charge. Of course, only I had my ults and I am a triller away. Now I do. Oh, dropped me straight in the lava. Oh yeah. Oh, straight in the lava. He’s going to do a big spin. Nice. Okay. What is happening? Why is he like perfectly accurate with the lava right now? I’ve never seen him actually like land any of those. I’m lost, man. I got to lock in. You know, I saw him and I shut my brain off. Also, something I’ve been wondering for a while is can I skip a layer by doing this? Like, is this instantly back? Okay, it is actually. So, this guy is uh is he he’s way bigger than he normally is for some reason. Why is he so big? Oh, what am I stuck on, man? No. Oh, it’s just stuck on nothing. Eat that. He’s like bigger than I’ve ever seen him be, unless I’m totally wrong. There we go. The post. That’s dead. Okay, good timing. Moog spear. I will take it. Kind of unfortunate we didn’t get to make it to the third boss. Like this wasn’t a great day two either. I’m not going to lie. This is kind of kind of a bad day one and day two sort of situation, but whatever. I think we’ll be okay anyway. Oh, I guess we got the second demon prince for day two as well. Interesting to see how that plays out. Hopefully I don’t [ __ ] it really badly. I don’t remember who I killed first, actually. I think we might be on the laser one this time, which is the one I feel like I should be better at. I think I can kill this boss here really, really fast. Actually, probably can. Dog is so quick. Damn staggers. Okay, goodbye. Physical tank car. Honestly, very nice though. Not enough room for a level, but still. I imagine Moog Spear is probably not the best thing to use. I don’t know. Do you think they’re weak to poly? Probably not. I can’t imagine any of the things I have are particularly like amazing. Hello. I immediately hit. Nice. Hey, I feel like I mostly remember this move set. As long as I don’t make some horrible mistake. Okay, laser. Huge stagger. Is he still going to continue it after I repost here or is he going to full cancel? I wonder. So, I actually haven’t fought the laser one. That’s nice. You know what? I might just double up. He’s got to be basically staggered here. It just didn’t roll. Nice. Pretty sure I can do like an entire charge heavy there, but I want to risk it. Oh, I completely messed up my strafe. Not sure if it was safe to drink there, right? Whoa, I’m positioning totally wrong. Wait, I feel like he has different combos. I could be wrong, but feel like he has different combos in this phase compared to the meteor one. Okay, he’s doing laser. Maybe a big stagger. Yep. And you are so the most dead guy. Beautiful. Easy. Affinity attack power or damage negation. I’m going to take the damage negation. I forgot to buy one of the Wending Graces. Hopefully that doesn’t [ __ ] me too bad. I probably do need to like focus I guess for this as well. I feel like I’m not necessarily the best at this boss. They are quite tricky solo or they can be. I probably should have prioritized getting sleep maybe cuz I know sleep is actually very strong for them. I just completely didn’t think about it and I immediately messed up the first roll and then got hit by every Oh my god. Got hit by absolutely everything. I think this is one of the reasons I kind of suck at this boss is it takes me a little while to remember, oh right, I’ve got to play this like actually very carefully and can’t just take whatever opening that they present to me because I could get frame trapped by a different one like that for example I accidentally locked on. Minus two flasks. Who are you? Okay, you are dead. You are really low now. You are dead. I’m wasting so many flasks on this phase. It’s kind of not good. Okay, this one is kind of leaving me alone so I can target the teammate. Can I do this, by the way? Is this stagy? Surprisingly, yes. Maybe I should have just done that. Okay, that worked out actually. All right, this is the actually tricky part. Uh, I kind of don’t feel like that phase one went nearly as well as I would have liked it to. It’s not like this is impossible. This actually bit I know how to fight better. I feel like I seriously didn’t stand in a safe spot there. That’s shocking. Okay. Oh, I didn’t get the perfect dodge. My god, she’s giving me really good openings. The hell. This is very fortunate. Down space the first three. And we just need to run away on this until she approaches. All right, that’s the first one. That was actually fairly clean. Ah, I always mess that bit up. Which one is it going to be? Okay, good. At least I hit that. And I didn’t think I was going to for a second there. No, I’m going to hold this. That still goes off. That’s such trash, actually. That’s such garbage that still goes off after she’s already dead. Okay, well, I really need to dodge it this time. Actually did. Okay, beautiful. And dodge this part. All right, well done me. Oh, I wasn’t. Ah, I was not ready for it. Oh, I need to run away on this. Nice. What the [ __ ] Oh, I didn’t realize she’d summoned them. Hey, that was almost very close. Oh, beautiful. She should be dead with this. Nice. Okay, I still need to kill like two more of these. Well, not quite. Like one in a bit. I That’s actually quite bad. I’m going to just go invincible. Good dodge. Which one is it going to be? Yes. Stalling incoming. She actually does this attack a lot more than I kind of thought she did. Nice. Okay, I do not have alt for this. So, I need to actually not mess this up like really badly. Actually, you know what? It’s not that bad cuz I do have both my reses. I kind of completely forgot that that was a factor, but yeah, I have both my reses, so I’m kind of fine here at this point. We’ve won, but I’d like to not mess it up. Oh, beautiful. He might be the greatest to ever do it. Oh, if I was the greatest to ever do it, I would hit the perfect dodge there. Are you dead? Goodbye. Nice, dude. Beautiful. I mean, it was a lot. It was pretty messy, especially with phase one, but at least we didn’t die. But as a whole, I think that went pretty well. That was fun, though. It was a It was a nice run. I think it it showcased a lot of the good things about the DLC actually. Like, demon princess working very well. And I actually I quite like that boss fight to be honest, even though it has its moments where it’s a little much with seven enemies. But I think for the most part, enough of what they do is deterministic that it feels pretty good to fight. At least from what I’ve seen, it seems like it’s a very consistent boss. Like you can say for sure what is going to happen at each attack and who’s going to be fighting you. Phase one, maybe not so much. Phase one is a little bit chaotic. I’m not a huge fan of it. Honestly, I don’t know if this is helping us that much. I might swap this out. I might just throw on something that gives me like sacred blade. All right, these are the new relics. I’m also going to change skin. I really, really like the darkness skin for Undertaker. Okay, drag lord. Let’s go. I honestly feel more confident on drag lord than I do with balancers. Loki, balances took me a long ass time to beat. I’m not going to lie. It’s kind of embarrassing, man. I don’t even want to think about it. But that was Yeah, I took me so many [ __ ] attempts. I don’t know how many, but probably like 15 at least to kill balances, which I was really embarrassed about. But I think I just was approaching the map in the wrong way was kind of the main thing. I really find this camp super annoying by the way cuz these [ __ ] bats like they are just so frustrating to deal with. Like the actual warriors themselves are really easy. You just backstab them over and over. I’m going to level quickly and then kill the rest. But yeah, it took me a really long time to kill uh balances which I was Yeah, I don’t know. professional player by the way, but I think I was washed on a lot of the bosses and I had to get back into things with Night Rain because obviously the majority of the the boss pool and enemies too I don’t fight basically ever. I’m sort of out of practice with them is my point. That’s nice to have. I need to remember where all of the crystals are. There’s one up there. I still feel like I really don’t know what I’m doing with this map though to a degree. Like obviously the strat that I’m using or the strats that I’m using are working for me fairly consistently, but I mean that doesn’t mean that they’re optimal or even particularly good really. There’s the rut there. That’s a good boss to take on early. Although I’d probably like to get somebody in the meantime. Maybe death bird would be good. Like I don’t utilize any of the underground sections or route around like the right side like beneath this castle, this area here, which is probably quite good to go to uh cuz it’s pretty dense with enemies. What is that? Is that a hippo? That’s a tree. This has got to be death bird. you and dead. That’s why it’s so nice to start with holy damage. I know we picked this up and used it, but it would have basically been the same on a regular weapon, but it’s just so nice to start with holy because once you get like you get one holy enemy and they’re just so [ __ ] like they can’t do anything. I might want to kill the fat guy over here as well. It is a little bit scary though. Stagger. The repost there. It’s kind of unfortunate. Stagger again. There’s the repost. Ow. He’s just so straightforward. Like he’s so easy to kill. He just sats there and spams his uh fire attack that you can just walk around. Successive attacks and gate damage. Please let me rest. Thank you. Uh what’s it? Where is the circle going? Okay, we are solidly in the circle. We’re fine. We could kill the tree avatar right now. I think it would maybe just be better for us to fight Loretta. I do want to check quickly though if they have the big stone down here. We do not. I’m going to go fight Loretta then. This is like a very good start. The only issue is stones here. Like I’m not sure how things are going to work out with stones. Cracking the crystal. I mean, hello Loretta. How about an alt? I don’t know if it’s actually best to use the sword here instead of uh something else, but whatever. I’m kind of committed to at this point. Beautiful. See, look how nice the [ __ ] skill is, man. That’s what I’m saying. in situations like that and you just get away with stuff that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to. Just being so greedy. She cannot do that on other characters. Big chie greeding. She going to greed and greed again and greed even more and then greed even more. Okay, the greed must stop momentarily. Oh my god, that’s the second time I’ve done that recently. Just under rotating on that attack. At some point, I had to be punished for my greed. What the Oh, hell no. What the hell? Why did it spawn me over here? That is actually so uncool of the game. What sort of spawn is that? Okay, well, at least we get this crystal on the way. But that’s so cringe. Spawn me over the other side. Holy [ __ ] that sucks. No way. No way they just did that to me. That has got to be one of the worst spawns I’ve ever seen. Just serving me up some [ __ ] trash right there. Oh, whatever. You are going to be altered. This time I will not under rotate. Nice. Get this. All right. Thank you. Hold on me. Uh, these are both good. I’m going to take this, though. My runes. All right. We’re so back. We can now kill the tree avatar. Probably. We have time. Is it smartest to kill the tree avatar here? No. You know what? It It’s got to be smartest to kill the Avatar. It’s got to be. It’s going to be so quick with this weapon. Yeah. Yeah. It’s going to be so fast. Yeah. I was going to say you got to stagger. Of course I miss and alt stack maybe. Nice. The hit box on the tree avatars is such a nightmare. Okay, somehow that hits though. A more of this insane stalling when you’re on like one health and dead. Nice. That was pretty fast. I’m hoping that we can still get across to the other side. That’s okay, that’s very nice. You know what? That actually works out pretty much perfectly for us. So, we take this bird, we fly to the other side. Hopefully, we grab a crystal like here and then we maybe kill something on the way and then kill the boss surely. That’s a really nice drop to get. That really is. I was going to say, is he going to do anything I can actually punish? Just die. Thank you. Such an annoying [ __ ] Yes, affinity damage is big and it’s like perfectly timed. It should be I can get this church on the way. Holy [ __ ] Insanely optimal gameplay. This is where I just throw on the day one boss for no good reason. The bosses here are pretty scary though. It was like death knights or uh Rugalia, the the red bear. The red bear is honestly way easier for me, but like I’m a lot better at that fight. I I just kind of don’t know how to fight the death knights. Like, okay, well, we got death knights, so I’ll just go [ __ ] myself. Yeah, death knights are kind of scary. I’m not going to lie cuz there’s a lot of them and I don’t know the move set very well. It doesn’t mean it’s over at all. Like, I’m yet to lose to the death knights, I think. But, I don’t know. I’m not It just doesn’t feel like it’s under my control. Oh my god, that was bad. Holy [ __ ] I greeted that so hard. and almost paid the price. Okay, we’re fine though. Okay, something I’m definitely going to do though is hold my alt for phase two and then I’m going to use the invulnerability. Uh I’m just going to play this like a massive [ __ ] and just go for the freest backstabs or not. Okay, well got the backstab, but that was not good. That’s nice. That is the one thing about death knights though is they do do that grab a lot and you can obviously get a lot of free ults off it. I’m going to play this like a [ __ ] for a second. this. Honestly, I should buy the winding grace from this merchant before I forget. I really do forget to buy the winding grace from the merchant like nine out of 10 times. That’s also very nice. So, I should just do it before I forget. Give me that. I don’t really need any of this stuff. I can also finally use uh this. Do I kill DTS here? I kind of think it’s a yes. Where was Where is he going? Why did he do that? That was a very big crystals. Oh, damn. The damage is [ __ ] absurd. Oh, I was almost out of Nice. Holy [ __ ] dude. We are just melting. The big strength weapons do go crazy on Undertaker. Like I’ve had uh godfree axe before and that was absolutely ridiculous. Nice. They’ve missed. Nice. Okay. Yeah, very quick. What do you got for me? Let’s check the big merchant. Maybe we get the rare big merchant that has all the legendary weapons. We won’t be able to afford them though if we do. Okay, we didn’t. But that’s probably for the best, actually. Surely one of you has multiple periodical. I’m going to scream. No, not even one multiple periodical. Okay, nothing is good. Let’s take this. Okay. And now we drop back down and do the [ __ ] big tower again. Was it worth it? I don’t know. Probably. But yeah, if you didn’t know, there’s a very low chance that when you get one of these special merchants on this map that they instead of selling like an array of things. Okay, I just didn’t hold forwards. That was such a waste of time. Instead of selling an array of things, they sell like just four legendary weapons for like 100,000 each. They’re super [ __ ] expensive. I think it’s very rare. I got it really early on. It’s cool, but it’s also just like super inconvenient and most of the time really doesn’t matter that much because like you’d have to be there at the perfect time and have all these runes on you and most of the time a legendary weapon isn’t that good. Who’s it going to be? Godric one of these. I didn’t I seriously didn’t get circle. Wow. I guess this is going to have to be a very quick Godric cuz I have to rotate a really long way. Ow, bad roll. Reading it. Oh, just the greediest greeter. Call me the grumble. Call me the grink. I He’s got to be dead. You need to die. Okay, goodbye. I guess we’re doing the tower on the other side. I haven’t done the castles on either of these runs, honestly. Like, I could have and it would have been fine. It’s just that a lot of the enemies in the holy castle, this one, are the hornscent bird warriors with two like twin curved swords or whatever they are. And they’re just so annoying. They just spam like crazy. It’s such an obnoxious uh enemies to come up against. I don’t really do I tend to avoid that one. And the other one is just cuz I don’t think it’s as fun. If it if I got the Fire Knight one, I totally would have done that. So, I learned the Fire Knight move set and I do really like it. It is in fact heat. After saying I was going to learn it for god, I don’t even know how long it’s been. A very long time, I did learn it and it did deliver. The dagger one is still kind of obnoxious. And there is like the one that has uh a helmet that’s like three faces stacked on top of each other. That one is [ __ ] trash, but aside from that, it’s pretty good. I forget whether this has a hit box or not. No, I can do this. Al Q you big ch heavy post. This is actually like a crazy amount of damage cuz smelted demon is stupidly tanky. Why did he not follow it up that time? I never know when he’s going to. There must be some tell. Or maybe it’s just a classic like early Souls game boss attack where they just sometimes do and they sometimes don’t follow a combo up and there’s nothing you can do about it. So the only way to play safely is just assume they’re always going to. He’s just he’s just like been so passive this whole fight just like letting me whail on him. So weird. Okay. I mean, that’s crazy, right? Both of them. Oh, man. We’re going to have some [ __ ] strong charge attacks this run. I still don’t know if we’re going to be able to do all three layers here. I don’t think we’re going to have time. We should get more damage with this. I don’t know. I’m going to stick with this for now. Might just ult him. This is one of the the worst bosses for us to get with what we have. We can’t really get our big attacks off. Good stagger. Maybe I can do a charge heavy in more of these openings. Nice. Okay, he should be dead. I felt like that went on forever. Eclipseel. Yeah, it’s kind of ass. Trying to like get my internal clock right and figure out exactly how much time we have left. We might barely have enough to get this final boss in. If it’s a quick boss, I think we’ll be fine. Please be someone quick. Oh god, I absolutely despise getting this guy. Um, we do not have enough time. We just straight up don’t. I’m not even going to risk it. It doesn’t seem worth it. Like, we have the best possible weapons really. It just doesn’t seem worth it to try any of that. Let’s just go. Yeah, unfortunate cuz it’s kind of like the most boring option, but it’s also the only option that makes sense. You have anything useful for me? I mean, that honestly could be really good. This is one of the best runs I’ve had on the DLC, I think. I guess. Let’s see who we get here, though. There could be some danger in second boss. Well, basically, Arttorius is scary is what I’m trying to say. Like, dancing lion is obviously straightforward, but Artorius is is very scary. He does a lot of damage and he doesn’t care about your eye frames on his like shitty lion’s claw attack for some reason. Don’t know why they did that. So, yeah. Hopefully it doesn’t go too bad. I do kind of know how to fight him a little bit. like I at least know what his moves do. Whether or not I’ll actually be able to dodge them properly, I don’t know. I don’t think we’ll lose though. Okay, this Arttorius I got to I got to lock in. Scary, scary, scary. I don’t think we’re going to lose cuz we have a res plus two wendings right now, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to necessarily go well. Kind of surprised that they went with three waves of old men into our glorious. I think that’s an interesting choice. Some people might be saying they cooked. Maybe not me. Even more old men. Like, did they think they were going to bait and switch people into being like, “Oh, this is the boss.” It would be kind of crazy though if you hadn’t seen any like spoilers that Arttorius was going to be in the game. Oh my god, it’s four waves of old men. Oh, dishes. Okay, there we There he is. Oh, Arttorius. Ah, scary. Surely that did damage. Okay, it did. Ah, yeah, that attack is super annoying. This is the the real problem though. That just straight up ignores your eye frames. Isn’t that cool? I think that’s so cool. That’s so super cool. Okay, we are doing a lot of damage though. My god, that can’t be out of space for a back roll. And I’m one shot. You can run around it though. Really wish I wasn’t already this low. Okay, phase two. This is where it’s like super [ __ ] scary because he’s just terrifying really. At least I know that you can jump this final part and then get a hit if I wasn’t trash. My god, he did do three. I forgot that this happens. Actually didn’t realize he could follow that up such so quickly. Hey, this is the good attack for us though. So, we get a free alt. Going to use this. Oh my god. must have been so close to staggering. No way. Oh my god. Good dodge. No stagger. Staggers don’t exist. Uh I’m just going to alult again and then we’ll be fine. Beautiful. Okay, he’s just dead. Nice. Okay. Very scary. Thank god uh Undertaker is overpowered. It’s like so carried by her alult there. Yeah, we definitely take the physical damage negation. A feels good. Let’s get this. And that’s all we have space for. Do I want to drink this and then take something else? Honestly, yes. I should drink this in a different I have so much money. All right, time to summon his little [ __ ] Honestly, it’s this phase that feels the least polished on this fight because when you get the like bloody wormface guys in Oh god. When you get the bloody wormface guys in, it’s honestly really annoying. And that right there is really [ __ ] annoying. Okay. Well, there’s raw, but I do have poison and rock continuous HP. Might just hold him here. He’s got to be extremely close to staggering. That’s insane. Oh, he didn’t do the slow one. That is just utter garbage. Kind of funny that it perfectly showed in this fight what I was talking about. That is exactly what I was trying to say is the problem with this fight. Just want to get him out of [ __ ] phase one as fast as humanly possible. It’s just so annoying. Deal with the shitty enemies. Oh my god, that was that was really dumb. I was like I was holding it holding it in there. That was pissing me off. That’s so stupid. All right, we should be like looking a lot better here, though. Well, assuming I don’t [ __ ] up. Like this is this part is more in my hands, I guess, is what I’m trying to say. Okay. Like I actually do quite like this fight. Okay. I really don’t like that move though. I was going to bring it up at some point. I’m really not a fan of that one. That one’s also quite difficult to deal with, but it’s like not so bad once you get used to it. It’s just that move is so dumb. I’m just reading it. The greed is kind of insane though. Okay. You know what’s funny about this move is that you kind of don’t even need to dodge it. You just walk around in a circle. It dodges itself. Easy. And this one I’m a little scared of, but it’s actually fine. Charge heavy. I’m just going to all him. He’s got to be okay. Yeah, I was going to say he’s got to be close to staggered, but he’s he’s just staggered. Phase two maybe. Yeah, this one is a really cool attack. The trick to that one is just to do it after he uh lands rather than doing it when he lands, which I think caught me out quite a lot at the start. Why is he so passive right now? Fight me, dumbass. Cuz he immediately hits me with his most dog [ __ ] move. Oh wow. This I don’t actually know if I need to run like super far away when he does this. I assume I do cuz Yeah, it looks like I do. killer. Really? No jumping on me. What is he doing? [ __ ] freak. Oh, he tried to hit me with it as well. What a bastard. I want to finish it with my alt. Oh yeah, here it comes. Sick. I really like that boss. Honestly, I I think it’s very very good in the second phase. The first phase, it honestly is ruined by the enemy spam for just no reason at all to do that. I don’t know why they did that [ __ ] It’s just super annoying. But second phase is just legitimately really good. It’s just a super fun boss. They did a good job. Okay, that was my little Night Ring DLC thing. Generally, I feel pretty good about it. I am kind of like a little bit more positive on it than I maybe would be because I feel like I don’t fully understand all of it and I know that there’s more to the map that I’m not really utilizing. If it turns out that all of that is garbage, then I guess it’s it’s slightly worse, but I still don’t think it’s particularly bad. Yeah, I think you know all of the additions to the game feel like pretty good. The only thing I could ask for is more basically which, you know, as much as you know it could be more and therefore it could be better. I think that’s a good problem to have. You know, like if the if I’m saying I want more and that’s my only complaint, really my only major complaint, then that’s got to be a pretty good DLC for what it is. Hopefully they add the [ __ ] DLC weapons from the Shadow of the U tree in. They’ve really got you, man. I don’t see how it could be so complicated to do that they wouldn’t be able to do it. But for now, like they added my favorite character in the game so far. They added some of the best bosses that they’ve had in the game so far. I do really like the new map. Yeah, not a lot more to say. They did actually improve on Arttorius. I think I mentioned that before is I wanted them to develop Arttorius’ move set because I think he would have not worked super well for Elen Ring if he was just the same. But they did a pretty good job apart from ignoring eye frames on the Lion Score thingy. Yeah, good DLC. I like it. If you were wondering what my opinion is, it’s I like it. You should go play it.
