As somebody who played and loved the first four games in this series, you can tell the creativity is in the dumps now. Two entries in a row just bringing back the original characters for nostalgia? This series works best as an anthology.

But will they bring back the original voice actress, that’s the real question
Immolation_E on
Hopefully it’s Ashley voicing her. The other actress did a great job in BtS that kicked me right in the feels, but I prefer Ashley’s performance in the OG LiS.

Mark my words, the next big LiS news story will be that this game is cancelled and Deck Nine is being shut down.

The already butchered Max and Chloe’s relationship in the fourth game. Whats the point of this? They already messed it up by turning it into… whatever it was in Double Exposure. Just a nonsense breakup, written somewhat disgustingly, and complete offscreening of Chloe.
Just let them rest, Deck Nine. Let us pretend Double Exposure isnt canon. Make a new franchise instead of killing the previous one. Fans can smell the desperation here.

It’s best to ignore Double Exposure exists, and just play 1+Before the Storm+read the comics.

I played and adored the first one, but felt no need to play the sequels.
It’s an idea I don’t think you can keep doing

Kind of surprising considering DE sold like shit.

The writing was really quite bad in the latest game. Zero interesting chatacters, really lazy dialogue, extremely lackluster plot, and no compelling choices. This feels like Disney bringing back RDJ to revive the Marvel brand.

given how they shat on Max’s character and personality in DE, expect them to do the same in this crappy sequel. they already made chloe so out of character just from her text messages to max and hinted she was gonna have a thing with victoria, someone who bullied them from HS and iirc, contributed to kate’s suicide attempt.

i highly encourage anyone missing the old school life is strange style gameplay to check out lost records: bloom & rage – the og life is strange is one of my favorite games ever and lost records is an incredible evolution of the gameplay

Keep in mind, if anyone thinks this can’t work due to the final episode of Season 1, there *is* an explanation offered in the comics.
>!Before she lost her powers the first time, the Max in the comic accidentally shifted into another timeline where Chloe was still alive while she originally chose to save Arcadia Bay and eventually settled in a timeline where Rachel Amber never died. And the last series involved a split timeline.!<

Deck Nine must be in deep financial if they are giving us what we actually want, a real Max and Chloe game.

I want this to be good SO BAD. The first life is strange is amazing, and one of my favorite games ever. The sequel was… ugh.
Also bring back Ashley Burch please

I didn’t exactly “like” Chloe but I am interested to see what they do with her. She did work as an interesting dynamic as a antagonistic friend. Her animosity and worship of that other girl is the reason why I didn’t play Before the Storm. Something that takes place after the first game where she has matured a bit does seem worth it though.

So the last game said fuck you to those who chose the save ending, now its saying fuck you to those who chose the other? Leave it alone and make something else.

Played LiS and loved it, played LiS2 and loved it, played LiS True Colors and thought it was disappointingly bland.
No interest in playing a LiS game that milks the story of the first one, hence why I’ve played no other apart from those 3, particularly when my choice at the end of the first game makes a Chloe come back impossible.

Yeah after the last one I’ll be skipping. Obviously creatively bankrupt. Should have brought chloe back in the last one not weird teasing and fence sitting. Desperation.
