    1. Such a bummer. BG3 would have been an incredible game to play on the switch. It’s my favourite game and being able to play it on my bed would have been so cool.

    2. Hasbro is terrible. The don’t care about the D&d brand. Just money, but not the money of switch 2 owners

I never understand why Companys throw away tons of money, just because some Bosses dont like each other anymore.

      BG3 Switch would mean
      – More Money for Larian
      – More Money for Hasbro
      – New Customers for Larian
      – New Customers for Hasbro
      – BG3 for Switch 2 Users

Win WIn Win for everyone. But some people are butthurt. Nice.

Same with Saw 11 Movie. Easy Millions of money, especially after the huge success of Saw 10, but some CEOs were fighting so they canceled it in the end, after they delayed the movie.

    4. Kinda strange that half of the article is actually about AI usage despite the headline, still an interesting read

    5. Is the switch 2 that powerful? BG3 barely runs on the series S is my understanding

Is the switch 2 comparable in terms of power there?

Edit: Especially since the use case for local multiplayer is stronger on the switch than it was for the series s but i can’t imagine it’s powerful enough for local undocked multiplayer

    6. Forgive me but I assumed Baldur’s Gate was its own property. Does a tabletop publisher have that much ownership over a computer game?

    7. I would like to play BG3 in general, but at like…. 30 bucks. Life in general is too expensive and there were barely any real game deals this last year.

This sucks, but this doesn’t actually mean that Baldur’s Gate 3 will never come to Switch 2. Hasbro will most likely hire a different studio to port the game.

    9. Not surprised. Hasbro acquired eOne which had previously acquired the game studio I worked at. Two major releases on Steam/Oculus/PSVR. 3 years of my career which I am very proud of. Hasbro “disinvested” from VR and now neither game is available for purchase… 😢

    10. Didn’t y’all say to fans on other platforms that since Nintendo doesn’t share it’s switch games to other platforms they should just buy a switch? Why don’t y’all do the same then? Games that don’t make it to switch, you play on other platforms.

    11. Congrats to Hasbro for actively and consistently refusing to understand what consumers want. Switch 2 is the best selling console of the year and will be a powerhouse for its entire lifespan, but sure, just pretend like you wouldn’t make millions off of a port.

    12. Hasbro sucks ass, big shocker there.

That being said, could this have even run on Switch 2 to begin with? Didn’t they have issues getting it to work on Xbox Series S?

Hasbro continuing to show why they’re one of the biggest shitheel companies in the world.

    14. I already have it on PC and would not have double-dipped but as someone who is eyeing elden ring and expedition 33 on switch i feel for the people who wouldve bought it twice or wanted it on Switch 2.

Mostly speculation by a minor website, wouldn’t recommend basing opinions off it when Sven is normally very straightforward and honest. He would have openly stated if it was because of their relationship with Hasbro.

    16. Such a shame, as I am only playing games like these with a mouse, and I’d MUCH prefer to play them on TV. Switch 2 would be the perfect platform for Larian games for me.
