I played this on Xbox before I switched over to PS5 Pro, this is a good time. Some of the most rewarding exploration for sure. I’ll be picking this up again if it’s Pro enhanced.

Hopefully there’s actually a 60 FPS mode though cuz when it first came out on Xbox. It never hit 60 pretty much but I mean they just released the outer worlds 2 and that runs very well on console at 60

Big mistake playing KCD2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 right before this, i know it’s going to be lackluster in comparison for me. 😅

One year exclusive makes the most sense for Xbox first party games. Also I really hope they release a physical, even if it’s through limited run. I wasn’t crazy about the game. I got like 20 hours in and fell off, but I suppose I’ll give it another go on ps5 at some point now.

    5. I’m playing through Outer Worlds 2 right now, so glad I can move onto Avowed later this year!

    6. Makes me think the rumours about a big Starfield overhaul are true, not really any other reason for it to not have come to PS5 yet if we’re getting this

I wonder if this will get an actual on disc physical. Microsoft doesn’t have the best track record for this but a man can dream.

    8. Bro, people saying this is a great game… I just don’t see it. I did not enjoy my time with it at all. Probably 15 hours or so?

So happy for you guys on PS5.

Ive got all consoles so I played Avowed last year and it was my GOTY and fav RPG ive played in years (for my RPG taste) and then Obsidian double downed and beat it out with The Outerworlds 2 right after

But if you are a fantasy over sci fi you will prob enjoy this more

Decent game but unless they’re adding more to game i dont see myself getting it on ps5.

    11. Awesome, i loved avowed it’s really fun even though the rpg systems are a bit shallow

    12. Was it any good? I didn’t see a lot of it, looked a bit ‘meh’ from what I did see, was hoping for more!

    13. I binged the heck out of this game on my Xbox. Its a really fun RPG Lite and I really enjoyed mixing up the combat/weapons etc + the exploring was also enjoyable. I did feel like the earlier maps were a lot better than the last map or two.

But a relatively quick game you can burn through

    14. Hahahahhaha FUCK! I NEED TO FINISH OUTER WORLDS 2 AND MH STORIES 1&2 MUCH SOONER NOW!

Super excited for this one though, fuck my sleep!

    15. Fuck yeah. I don’t care what people say, I’ve been really enjoying Obsidians offerings lately and this one looks great.

    16. Is it getting a physical? I was hoping for a physical to dive in but doesn’t seem like it was mentioned.

Been hoping with the new PS5 push for Xbox studios that this and South of Midnight were both coming

Glad to see this! I wanted to like it on my series s before I sold that, but the resolution and frame rate gave me a headache. Looking forward to playing it smoothly. The gameplay was really fun.

    19. I was extremely happy and I immediately preordered cause I loved The Outer Worlds. 🙂

    20. Fuck yeah, played this on game pass on my series x but looking forward to a ps5 pro purchase

    21. Holy shit that came out of nowhere!  I mean I hope didn’t expected it but I thought it would be more drawn out.

Highly underrated game. Was is Skyrim? No. But is was a solid 8/10 20 hour experience that never wore out its welcome. You could beat it in a long weekend and feel fulfilled. By FAR my biggest complaint was the difficulty scaling was lazy. Either they were wipeout mobs or damage sponges that weren’t hard to kill because that required skill, but because they took 5 minutes to break their shield and another 5 minutes to kill. It is one of the few games where I turn the difficulty down, not because it too hard(I love Souls games), but because it made otherwise fun combat extremely boring.

Too many games are trying to be “lifetime games” and I don’t got time for that.

    23. I just finished Avowed yesterday on PC (Got it in the winter sale). For me it was great! Sure I’ve played better games, and if I could go back I would I would have played it on hard instead of normal. I found it wierd that as a mage, i couldn’t really scale spell damage in a meaningful way – my wand attacks ended up doing more damage than the spells (just by upgrading them and getting some crit).

I preordered it today. I started this game a year ago on xbox, and was halfway thru when I decided to swap my xbox for a new PS5 Pro. No regrets, but I’m excited to be able to pick this up again.

Played through Avowed when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it… Found the voice acting (especially the first two companions back n forth) quite good and fun ; )
